Alexa did my makeup for my October 17 wedding and I can't explain how happy I was with it! The makeup looked unbelieveable and stayed on ALL day and night!! Her and her assistant did myself and 5 other girls on my wedding day and everyone loved the way they looked. She listened to everything I wanted and made me look better than I could have ever imagined! I can't wait for my next event so she can do my makeup again!

Well, I must admit that the name "The Glam Fairy" caught my attention on an internet search for a bridal makeup artist. Thank goodness it did! She does work magic.

Alexa did myself and five bridesmaids ranging in age from 14 to 47! Everyone looked amazing for the entire evening.

I would recommend getting airbrushed, especially for the bride, it made the photos amazing.

She has a sparkling personality, and it adds to the experience!
She is professional, on-time, and will complete all the girls on schedule.

Alexa and Katia both did my wedding party and I cannot begin to tell you JUST HOW beautiful allllll of us came out! She even taught us how to pose. It is so nice to have a relaxing vendor that makes you feel like youve known her for years! Plus I never knew I had cheekbones till I did my trial! haha. Katia and Alexa Paired with Mandy from Lasorella are the true DREAM TEAM. And when my photographer showed me the pictures on his camera I could NOT BELIEVE how great everything came out in the photos... I am still waiting for my proofs but I had to share the love. And I LOVVVEEEEEEE Glammy!

She somehow did something to my collar bone to make me look thinner I cannot thank her enough for not making me absolutely gorgeous on the most important day of my life but making my photos timeless. Alexa was an absolute dream! Although a bit pricey, it is hard to please women that are avid makeup wearers and are VERY picky, so she was completely worth it. Myself, my mom, and my sister came out looking absolutely stunning and Alexa was awesome to work with. She even became my angel and fixed my hair last minute when I wasn't happy with the results.

Alexa did makeup for my mother, my MOH, and myself for my August 28th wedding. I cannot rave about her enough...she is amazing! Everyone's makeup looked fantastic! She was worth every penny!

I have been a devoted makeup wearer for over 10 years. I like to think I am pretty good at it but Alexa blows me out of the water!

I went to a makeup trial with another makeup artist prior to my trial with Alexa. I almost cried mid-way through the trial. It was terrible! I asked her what the airbrush would look like if I cried...she airbrushed her hand and sprayed water on it and it just ran down her fingers! I considered doing my own makeup for the wedding before I found Alexa.

I went to my trial with Alexa and she knew exactly what I wanted. She is very quick and was done with my trial in no time. I couldn't believe how great it looked! I went home and you couldn't drag me away from the mirror.

Alexa replicated my trial perfectly on the wedding day! I usually can't stand fake eyelashes but I couldn't even tell I had them on! The airbrush makeup she uses is silicon based so it stayed on all night, even though I was very sweaty from dancing all night!

Alexa has a great personality and it was a pleasure working with her.

I knew as soon as I was engaged who I was going to call for my big day makeup. Alexa did my best friends wedding last year and the bridal party just looked fabulous so I booked her for myself, both MOB and MOG as well as my 3 bridesmaids. She is such a gem. I loved how my makeup came out (so did hubby) and my maids were down right gorgeous too! Both mothers just adored their makeup also, which was so so great considering how nervous they were to get it done. They just raved about how great they looked all night and so did all the guests. Alexa is spot on. And on top of her crazy makeup skills, she is just a doll. She is the perfect bridal makeup person. Sweet and fun and very calming on your big day. She is a pro and she made me look like a million bucks. I recommend her hands down!

Alexa did a great job! Everyone looked gorgeous and the make-up lasted all night. She did my make-up, 7 BMs, MOB, and MOG. She showed up on time and got right to work. I was especially pleased with my make-up, I had made changes from my trial and she listened and did exactly what I wanted. She did several different looks and worked with many different skin types and everyone looked SO beautiful.

I met with Alexa Prisco A.K.A. The Glam Fairy for a trial back in March 2007 - and I loved her right away! I was definitely not used to wearing a lot of makeup, but I absolutely loved how it came out. The day of the wedding she arrived right on time (actually she was a bit early) and had 3 of us done within 2 hours. Everybody LOVED their makeup and it looked great until the end of the reception. My makeup was so pretty that I didn't want to wash it off... so I didn't :) I kept the eye makeup on the next day and finally peeled the lashes off that night.

Alexa has done my makeup for many events since my wedding in September of 2007 - I've used her for both "regular" and airbrush makeup. Let me tell ya, that airbrush machine works miracles!! I was outside for a wedding in June in 105 degrees this summer...my makeup didn't budge all day or all night through a rainstorm.

I can't say enough good things about Alexa. I have never been happier with my makeup. She is a great pick if you want a dramatic look. She was expensive, but it was worth it.

I think every bride's worst nightmare is to not like the way she looks on her big day and be disappointed in the wedding pictures. After having my trial with Alexa my fears were put to rest. Instead of being nervous about how my makeup would turn out on my wedding day, I was as calm as can be. Alexa and one of her glam fairies took care of me, my mother, and my large bridal party of twelve girls. Everyone looked great! Alexa did an amazing job on my mom, enhancing her beauty and making her look the most gorgeous I've ever seen her. Since I had fourteen people who needed makeup, I knew there was the potential for appointments to run over and for us to be late for the church. Alexa set up a schedule and followed it perfectly, allowing plenty of time for hair and pictures. Both her and her assistant were punctual and super friendly. It was a pleasure to work with these experts and I will recommend her to everyone I know who is getting married. With all the money you spend of a photographer, why would anyone chance not looking their best??

Alexa is amazing! She was recommended to me by my wedding planner (Kristin Rockhill of Details of I Do) she had done work with her on the TV show "Whose Wedding is it Anyway". I loved the work she did on the show & was sold before my trial. After my trial, I came home & my husband (then fiance) looked at me & said "You look so beautiful!"

I absolutely LOVED how she did my makeup for my wedding! I was nervous because from the time I did the trial to the wedding day, I had changed my mind on how I wanted my eyes to be done. But it was not a problem. She looked over the 2 new photos I brought to reference and got to work! Alexa did my makeup for a photoshoot and I cannot express how amazed I was at her talent. She is exceptional and does outstanding work. I planned my dream wedding from across the country. I was living on the west coast and planning a wedding in New Jersey. I came across Alexa over the internet and I was immediately impressed, to say the least, by the work I saw on her website. Being an avid makeup-aholic a knew that makeup was the most important aspect to my wedding next to the gown. I wanted a professional artist that didn't need much direction and just knew what would looked good and went with it. From the minute I got engaged, I had a vision of what I wanted my bridal look to be: glamorous, vintage and edgy. Alexa helped me bring that vision to life. I was super worried about having my make-up last the whole day and with Alexa's airbrushing, my face was a masterpiece from the minute it was done until I sadly had to wash it off for bed. She also gave my mother a clean and elegant look using just regular MAC make-up. I would recommend her to anyone.

The products and her equipment are top quality. My trial and wedding makeup with both unbelievable. Alexa is an artist. She knows what looks good and what doesn't look good. I have oily skin and she totally made my skin not oily. I got the airbrush makeup and it stayed on all night. I had to scrub to get it off. She is very funny and she doesn't hold back - I love that kind of environment. She too was on time and professional. She came back for the touch up and SHE was on time, but I had to be downstairs and so she had to rush do it quick. I felt bad making her come all the way back. But, she did it with a smile.

First let me say I am very picky about my makeup and was very nervous about how I was going to look on my wedding day. I have had my make up done before by make up artists and they sucked. Katia did my makeup as well as my moms and my bridesmaids. She was WONDERFUL! I didn't even feel like I was wearing makeup. She made my eyes look AMAZING! She was professional and fun to work with. Alexa recently did my make-up for my April wedding, and she was awesome! I booked her over a year in advance, so I felt like on my wedding day, she was just one of the girls hanging out. As said in a previous review, the prices may appear high, but she is definitely worth it. You get what you pay for, and Alexa is both a dream to work with and such a pleasure to be around. She is able to adapt to any changes (myself and all of the girls changed their look between the trial and wedding day), which truly makes a professional. The results were fabulous for everyone. Katia from the Glam Fairy squad absolutely ROCKED it on my wedding day!! I just got married last month at Tavern On The Green in Manhattan's Central Park. She did my makeup, my mom's makeup, and my soon to be mother in law's makeup as well, and each of us were 100% happy with Katia's work. I had had less than satisfactory makeup trials with 2 other local makeup artists, and was almost about to give up on finding a great makeup artist at a reasonable price for my big day, until I had my trial with Katia. I've been sitting here for the last 20 minutes trying to figure out what to say about Alexa. She is totally OUTSTANDING. I have a tattoo on the back of my neck (that I only regret ever getting during special occasions such as my brother's wedding, as I was a groomsman), and it needed to be covered. Well, my brother's now-wife told me she was getting her makeup done by The Glam Fairy, and she mentioned how she specializes in covering up tattoos. Honestly, I didn't believe it at first... but she told me to give it a shot and she couldn't stop bragging about her.

Well, I took the shot...and WOW. It LITERALLY looked as if I never had a tattoo. I hadn't seen the back of my neck looking that "clear" since freshman year of college. My mom was a little relieved (it's a big tattoo that she never really approved of, haha old-school), and she even thought I had gotten it permanently removed.

Honestly if you want the most perfect wedding, get her. I'm surprised she doesn't have huge waiting lists or something. (I wouldn't be surprised if she did, though).

My new sister-in-law is reccomending her to all her soon-to-be brides for Glam Fairy trials and everything, and they couldn't be happier.

Alexa, thank you so much...if you made me feel this way, I could only imagine how you made the bride feel. (And by the way she talks about you, I think her makeup was the best part of the wedding, haha!)

Alexa is truly one of the best! She has such a great personality, full of energy and listens to what you want. My makeup was done for my graduation this past May and I kept receiving compliments all day on how great it was and more importantly it lasted all day thru the graduation and party afterwards. Hi my name is Jaclyn. I booked Alexa Prisco for my sisters wedding on September 11, 2010 at the Manor in West Orange, NJ. Words cannot express how beautiful she made us all look. She was soo down to earth and very professional. My mom always complains how old her skin is getting. Alexa made my mom look 20 years younger. She brought out her eyes and skin tone. Everyone was shocked at how beautiful and young my mom looked. My parents are divorced and my dad even went up to my mom to compliment her on her makeup. Alexa does amazing work! She truly is an artist and I loved the way my makeup came out the day of my wedding. After my trial with her I would have paid anything to have her do my makeup for my wedding day because it looked that good. On my wedding day, so many people complimented my makeup and some even said they could see my eyes all the way up on the altar in church during the ceremony. Alexa knows the techniques and tricks for having you look amazing both near and far. Her assistant did all of my bridesmaids makeup and they all looked unbelievable, too. I have never seen such great makeup done for the bridesmaids in a wedding. All had their own style but all looked so beautiful! Alexa teaches her assistants her techniques and they do a great job. Honestly you shouldn't have anyone else but Alexa do your makeup for your wedding day. She really is the best.

I was married on Oct 23, 2009 and Alexa was my makeup artist.. Let me tell you that this girl is amazing !!! I choose the airbrush makeup and I am soooo happy that I did... It looked amazing in both photos and in person ... Everyone loved the makeup and my whole family was greatful that I had Alexa do my makeup.. I am sort of a makeup snob and I do not trust anyone to touch my face but, Alexa surpassed my expectations !! She is trully amazing and I think every Bride should book her for her wedding !! I am actually going to be taking some private classes with Alexa to learn the tricks of HER trade !!

I've used Alexa several times in the past and absolutely loved her. So I was thrilled that she was able to travel to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for my wedding on October 16, 2009. There was no way I could settle for any other makeup artist after using Alexa. She always makes me laugh so it was great to have her there on my wedding day to calm me down and get my mind off my nerves. I had a bride's worst nightmare occur 2 days before my wedding! I stupidly went to go get my eyebrows waxed and guess what!? I had HUGE burn marks across my whole face. Not only that, but silly me, didn't think to contact Alexa to inform her of my siutation.I loved my trial and was praying for the same results after what I did to myself. Alexa and her glam fairies came right on time - to the minute. Alexa made my mother look flawless and beautiful. Then it came to me. Instead of screaming at me (like I would have done) about waxing before the wedding AND not calling her; she simply said I promise I will do the best I can!And did she ever!! My pictures are flawless! I hate to brag but I looked amazing, and not one camera caught one glimpse of burns or scars by my face. Now also keep in mind she did this all without the special makeup she usually uses for scars!I highly recommend Alexa and her Glam Fairies. They honestly and literally saved the day and made me and my family the most beautiful we have ever been.

Alexa was AMAZING and VERY EASY to work with considering the various obstacles I encountered throughout my wedding planning (she introduced me to the best cupcake in the world when I needed it most)!!!! While applying our makeup, she explained everything she did making us comfortable and teaching us at the same time! Our makeup was FLAWLESS and we looked ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! Alexa did makeup for my mother, my MOH, and myself for my August 28th wedding. I cannot rave about her enough...she is amazing! Everyone's makeup looked fantastic! She was worth every penny! I have been a devoted makeup wearer for over 10 years. I like to think I am pretty good at it but Alexa blows me out of the water! I went to a makeup trial with another makeup artist prior to my trial with Alexa. I almost cried mid-way through the trial. It was terrible! I asked her what the airbrush would look like if I cried...she airbrushed her hand and sprayed water on it and it just ran down her fingers! I considered doing my own makeup for the wedding before found Alexa. I went to my trial with Alexa and she knew exactly what I wanted. She is very quick and was done with my trial in no time. I couldn't believe how great it looked! I went home and you couldn't drag me away from the mirror. Alexa replicated my trial perfectly on the wedding day! I usually can't stand fake eyelashes but I couldn't even tell I had them on! The airbrush makeup she uses is silicon based so it stayed on all night, even though I was very sweaty from dancing all night! OMG! Alexa is AMAZING!!! I wanted a dramatic, sexy look for my non-wedding, wedding. She was exactly what I was looking for. I went to Alexa for a trial, 30 minutes and some hysterical conversation later, I was transformed! INSANE!!! I knew the GLAM FAIRIES would work wonders with us. I had Alexa airbrush myself as well as both mothers. Her assistant (I think Katia) did my 8 girls. The RAVES were coming in all night! Her assistant even took pictures saying this was the sexiest bridal party she had ever seen... yeah, to the glam fairies!!! She has an assistant packages which is great. I got to splurge (hell, it's my wedding day!) and my girls got to spend an amount they were comfortable with, considering I was one of many weddings they have this summer. Even my photographer said she hadn't seen anything like it and raved about her on her blog! Get her before someone else books your date!!!

I honestly don't know where to begin with my review. There are no words to describe how insanely happy I was with Alexa and my makeup for my 6/5/09 wedding. I booked Alexa fairly last minute (after deciding not to go with another artist.) I didn't have a trial with Alexa but I just knew from all of the pictures I saw that I would be happy with her. Not only was I happy, I was truly blown away when I looked into the mirror. She asked me about the look I was going for "total sexpot?" and I said "yes exactly." And that she did. My husband's first words when he saw me at the alter was "omg wow". That was exactly what I wanted his reaction to be. I had airbrush make-up done and my maid of honor had regular which she loved as well. Our makeup lasted all night with no worries.Her personality is insane but absolutely hysterical we were all saying how much we loved her hours after she had left. Its been about 3 months from my wedding and I am still hearing compliments about my makeup and friends are still asking me for her info so that they can book her.

Alexa was great - I am not usually big makeup wearer and really just wanted to look like somebody WAY more glamorous than me for my wedding day, and Alexa completely captured the look I wanted, and she worked with my skin tone/eye color/hair color etc. to really make sure that the makeup was flattering to me. She uses great products and the make-up does not wear off - I had my make-up applied at 11 AM and it stayed right in place until the last guest left our after-party at 11 PM. The pictures also came out beautifully because Alexa really knows how to apply makeup in a way that a camera is able to capture (I can't tell you how many brides I have seen in pictures who pick the wrong makeup and the photography completes washes out their face).Alexa was on time for my wedding day, was efficient, and helped my Mom and sister pick the best makeup for themselve as well. I would recommend her to anybody looking for a fun makeup artist to make you look your best. She's a little pricey, but you're not going to get Bloomingdale's quality at a Target price - it's worth it when it's one day of your life!

I am soo glad that I chose Alexa to do my makeup on my wedding day. At the trial, she was very helpful and very very knowledgable. She explained everything to me very carefully (as this was my first time), and she was very patient with me. The day of my wedding she came to my house with some help (I had 12 people getting makeup) on time and was very professional. My makeup came out outstanding and lasted all through the night. Her and her assistant did a wonderful job on all the girls and I have pictures to prove it! I was very nervous about getting a makeup artist since I breakout easily and also sweat alot (especially when i am dancing), but Alexa assured me she would take care of it and she kept her word!! My makeup stayed put and I didnt have to worry about a thing. I would truly recommend her to anyone out there looking for a makeup artist.

Alexa gave me the dream look for my dream wedding. My makeup looked so natural and I had a radiant glow that lasted all night long. Alexa's work is amazing! She did 4 of us on my wedding day and we all looked super beautiful (I think). I've never felt more beautiful in my life than when she does my makeup (4 times now, the 3rd being my wedding day). Between her and Mandy of LaSorella Bridal, I felt like a princess. Not only does Alexa do amazing work, she's a really cool person. She's sweet and funny and fashionable and smart and even though I got married well over a year ago, we're still in touch. Alexa was an absolute dream to work with on my wedding day. At the trial I wasnt sure exactly what kind of look i wanted and we took time together looking through her portfolio and all magazine clippings and together found the perfect look for my day. My entire party and I had airbrush makeup and I will say that the airbrushing stayed on ALL NIGHT. She was BEYOND professional and made a little schedule for all my bridesmaid to follow which really made the morning of my wedding run beyond smoothly. And I am a total MAC hound so Alexas personality in addition to all the makeup she has was a match made in heaven for me!Her mom is some famous artist so she even gave me a print of her moms stuff for our new condo which we LOVE. I would reccomend Alexa to anyone that is looking for the big cheese of makeup artists! And ya she is pricey-- but so is Gucci, Prada and anything else that is the best of the best. Service, unlike a retail product, is NOT price sensitive-- so you get what you pay for! And Alexa was worth every single penny.

Alexa Prisco did my make-up for my 12-11-10 wedding. I had my trial with her back in March. At the trial, she was super friendly and welcoming and so down to earth. We did her trademark smokey eye, which was great, but a bit too much for my wedding day. Many of you may see her work and wonder, can she do any other look. YES she can. She and her assistant arrived to my house on time and ready to work. My make-up looked amazing. Not to little, not too much, just right and elegant. I did the airbrush and it was as light as a feather. May I also add that her assistant met me at my hall later on to touch me up, also right on time, but she totally didn't have to because my make-up stayed on all day and night. Alexa is a very outgoing, free spirit, and she absolutely loves what she does. She sees make-up as an art and takes it very seriously, which is something you want on your wedding day. If I could go back in time, I would definitely use her again.

She was very responsive to my suggestions, and although I felt like there was a little too much applied during my trial, she took my concerns into consideration the day of, and it was perfect. It came out great in the photographs, but also looked natural enough in person. I got a million complements. Alexa traveled all the way out to my house the morning of, even though she was very busy, and never complained. Alexa is a makeup artist in the truest sense of the word! She is a master with all of her tools and is completely on top of all the latest trends and materials. She offers airbrushing, which is well worth the slightly higher cost--the makeup slides on flawlessly and gives such a smooth, perfect look. Alexa is a fireball of a personality, and will keep you laughing as she makes you up. She did the makeup for everyone in my bridal party, and each girl not only looked amazing, but FELT absolutely gorgeous. Alexa has a way of using her art to make you look your best, as well as make you feel fun and confident. My makeup really made me look and feel special...and it lasted into the wee hours of the morning. I did not have alexis do my makeup I had one of the glam fairies do my make up.Her name was Carol. And she did an excellent job on my mom who doesnt wear a lot of make up, my sister who is 15, and myself. The make up stayed on all night and I had plenty of compliments about it. Highly recommend her.

OK here's the deal with Alexa Prisco. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding last fall and saw her work in person. After just hearing from my friend that her make-up artist has a TV show, and seeing the show, I had to write a review. She is really talented at what she does, is VERY friendly and out-going, and is working hard to create her brand. Her attitude is much better than the show makes her out to be. Alexa and her assistant showed up on time on my friend's wedding day and did a great job. One thing you have to know though is she is NOT afraid of make-up. If you tell her to do a dramatic smokey eye, DRAMA is what you will get and it may be a bit much for some on their wedding day. If you want something more classic and wedding day friendly, you have to tell her to tone it down a few notches. Her natural eye is probably equal to another artist's smokey eye. Nonetheless, if you tell her what you want, you will look great. I would recommend a trial, especially if you are thinking airbrush. Depending on your skin, you can look smooth or a bit cakey, so it's better to just know how it will look on you beforehand. I got airbrush with her assistant, and my skin looked cakey, but my friend's looked great. With all this said, I just hope that her new found 15 minutes, or the "too heavy" make-up look of some of her co-show counter-parts doesn't have an effect on her or the quality of her work. Would I hire her for my wedding, yes, but she is too pricey for my budget, and I can only imagine her prices will be going up, but if you can afford her, go for it!

Alexa was great and a lot of fun to work with. I hired her for airbrush makeup, and it looked flawless all day. She charges way too much for trials, in my opinion, but I decided to go with her because the trials I had with other artists weren't as good. The only negative was that she did run behind the day of the wedding, which threw our entire schedule off. She ended up needing more time for each person than was planned for. However, everything worked out in the end, and I made it to the church on time! Just goes to show that you REALLY need to allow PLENTY of time to get ready, since you can't control for everything!

I had a trial with Alexa a year before my wedding. I looked her up on theknot.com and I saw such great work of art. I used to do makeup myself for a skincare line and I wanted to find someone who made me look more elegant instead of my everyday makeup look. The trial was everything I wanted and more. My eyes were dramatic but yet classy and my skin looked flawless because of the airbrush she used. My wedding day pictures turned out so beautiful and my makeup stood out in just the right way. My eyes were the main focus and it was all because of Alexa's expertise in color and application.

She made me look like a model! Need I say more?

First I'd like to say that I LOVED my makeup on my wedding day. I also think Alexa is a very talented makeup artist. My wedding was 8/22/09 and I contracted Alexa to do airbrush makeup on me, my sister, and my mom. Initially I met with her for my makeup trial alone and really liked how she did my makeup. Since she advised me she books up quickly, I signed a contract for me, my mom, and my sister. Unfortunately, after my mom and sister had their makeup trials, my mom decided she did not like how Alexa did her makeup and did not want her services. The contract was signed so I had no choice but to still pay for 3 of us.....so I 'treated' one of my bridesmaids to get her makeup done on my wedding day for 'free'.....While I understand that I signed the contract without being under any duress, I thought there was more 'room' for negotiating, which didn't happen. Having said that, she owns a business and must set these standards so she does not get burned in the end. I also hired her to come to the wedding venue to do a touch-up on me. This worked out well, but I think it would behoove her to dress a bit more professional when going to on-site weddings instead of just wearing sweats. She is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for! I loved the MAC products she used.

The Glam Fairy is a one woman, mac certified makeup artist who works out of her home and travels to your location the day of the wedding. Her prices are a little high for most economically savvy brides, but her work is exceptional. I had some concerns regarding professionalism from the day of my wedding, but nothing that I feel would hinder my opinion of her services and nothing that would sincerely prevent me from recommending her to friends and family. Due to an error of my photographers on my wedding day, I'm in a strange position that I will need to restage some photos from the day of the wedding. I look forward to working with The Glam Fairy again to recreate the flawless look I had on my wedding day.

I went for a trial first and thought she used the wrong colors on me and used too much makeup. She was very good about it though and offered to keep fixing it until I liked it. I did not have a lot of time to keep looking around so I hired her.The day of the wedding she was late and did not call me or apologize. She bantered and bitched back and forth with the hairsylist the whole time. I did not think that was professional at all. I told her that I didn't think the eye lashes were long enough. She told me she could put another coat on but I would look like Tammy Fay Baker if she put more on. Maybe it is the products she uses because after she left I used another mascara that makes eyelashes longer and did not clump.I was happy with the makeup and it stayed on all day.

I used Katia for my wedding makeup and Brielle for hair. They are both so great at what they do! Brielle has a great personality, she does great work and she is fast! Katia is just all around amazing. She really listens to what you want and makes you look beautiful. The secretary and assistants that I dealt with were horrible. They never answer your calls and the voice mail box is always full. My emails were returns weeks after I sent them. It was very stressful dealing with them. It got to the point where I had to have a back up hair and makeup person on hand because I thought they might just not show up the day of the wedding. My mother in law and maid of honor tried for 2 months to add themselves onto my contract for the wedding day. It was finally achieved 2 weeks before the wedding. My makeup and hair trials were canceled the night before by one of the assistants and she didn't get back in touch with me for another 2 weeks to reschedule. The hair and makeup did get done and it was beautiful but I didn't need the added stress, especially before my wedding.

Alexa (the Glam Fairy) was great when I booked her - friendly, responsive, etc. I told her right off the bat that I didn't know how many people would be getting their make up done and yet she told me to just guess when signing the contract and then held me to it after the fact, which I did not expect. I also tried to work with her on the start time and she would not deviate from the time set on the contract - which SHE set (an 8:30am start for a 3pm wedding!!!!!). She also showed up and was miserable because she was sick and my make up didn't come out as good on my actual wedding day as it did in the trial. Needless to say, it was cakey by the end of the night and barely lasted until the cocktail hour. She's good at what she does, but the price is wayyy higher then she deserves. And I even tipped her very well!!!

My make-up looked just okay on my wedding day. It did take a lot longer than it should have though because the first time around I looked like I was going to a night club. She did do it again though and it looked better the second time around. Alexa was a little late showing up because she had been out late the night before and in the end we ended up not being able to do many pictures before the ceremony as we had originally planned and had to miss our cocktail hour to do them. She definitely just has a specific style she likes and does not like changing her style for you. My mother took off all her make up and ended up redoing it herself. When she said something, she was just assured by all her assistants that it looked good even though my mom hated it. It was definitely WAY more money than it was worth though and all my makeup was gone by mid reception even though I had the airbrush done. They wanted $80 just to put a few curls in our 3 yearold flower girl's hair! I would expect that to be a courtesy considering that we paid almost $2000 for her services. Her hair team was excellent though and the girl's hair looked great. Mine looked awesome too although pieces of it ended up falling out through the night. Alexa and her team are definitely talented, just make sure you know exactly what you want and don't stray from it. I trusted her to know what would look best on me and it did not turn out so well the first go around.

DO NOT BOOK her. In my opinion she oevrbooks and is the least unprofessional person I have ever met. Trials are done at her apartment/condo. She practically ruined my wedding by showing up HOURS late when I was already supposed to be leaving for the ceremony. Her excuse? Another wedding.Do not make the same mistake I did. Spend half the money and hire someone else who is way more professional.

Excerpt from an email to the Glam Fairy:"Hi Alexa, So I booked your team to do my makeup/hair for my wedding last Friday, Nov. 26. I thought that Brielle and Jessica both did a really good job and I got a ton of compliments on the end result. But I'm a little disappointed in your team's lack of professionalism. Nicole called me last Wednesday to confirm everything. She actually didn't have my contract in front of her when she called, she said something about looking at it when she got home and emailing a confirmation over to me, but I never got anything. Not a big deal since I had my copy in front of me anyway. When Friday came around, Brielle was half an hour late and Nicole did not pick up/return either my text or one of my bridesmaid's voicemails. So no one apologized for being late, fine. Then when Jessica did my makeup she didn't know it was supposed to be airbrushed and I was there while she was trying to get a hold of Nicole, didn't get through, and eventually ended up calling you. Lastly Brielle and Jessica had kind of an awkward conversation right in front of me about how they should split up the money, get it to you somehow, get their tip, or something. Whatever the conversation was about, I don't think it should have been discussed in front of their clients, plus I would think that sort of thing gets figured out beforehand. Nobody even had a copy of my contract with them in order to figure things out. Luckily I brought mine with me plus I had internet access so I could pull up an old email from Nicole with all the prices. So I think overall it would have been a flawless experience if these things hadn't happened (all of which were completely preventable), and I wanted to bring them to your attention bc while your girls do good hair/makeup work, they should also represent the Glam Fairy more professionally." I wrote this on Dec 1, 2010. No response from the Glam Fairy to date. Would you want to do business with someone like that? For $1,000, I hope not.

Dear Alexa,
I just wanted to let you know what an awesome job you did on my wedding makeup. I felt so beautiful and got so many compliments! My aunt got a ton of compliments as well and she wanted me to tell you how happy she was with the makeup.

I have to admit that since my wedding I have been inspired to wear makeup on a more regular basis. Of course, I can't come anywhere near your skills when it comes to application but you made me feel so pretty and special on my wedding day that I decided to "Glam-it-up" more often.

Thank you so much for bringing your artistry to me and all the women in my wedding. Not only are you so energetic and fun to be around, but I felt so calm and assured leaving my face and everyone else's in your hands. And the finished products were stunning. Every girl was so happy they opted for makeup and couldn't stop talking about how good you are. The evidence is in all of our pictures-- our faces are glowing and all our best features are highlighted.

Most importantly, I felt spectacular on my wedding day. The best part was, I didn't look "transformed", but rather like you took all my inner beauty and added it to the outside. Thank you, thank you for making me feel like the princess bride I always (secretly) wanted to be.
