Stacy was SUCH a pleasure to work with. Literally, the second dress I tried on (and she picked it out!) was MY dress. To make the deal even sweeter, they were having a trunk show and the dress was not only gorgeous, but a steal. Stacy's assistant was on her game- she contacted me to confirm the appointment which was much appreciated. I cannot wait to go back and purchase one of their stunning veils.

Stacy and Audrey were amazing! They make the appointment all about the bride-to-be by making the appointments just for you and your guests. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on and couldn't be happier with my choice. Stacy emailed me the day before with pictures of dresses that were in the window and the one I asked her to pull was the one! I chose a modern trousseau and I could make modifications which was so nice. I can't wait until it arrives and I can try it on!! I would highly recommend TGS to all future brides!

I went to several different dress shops in both Ann Arbor and Columbus and my experience at The Gown Shop was far above and beyond that of any other boutique or store. The atmosphere and personal service really made me feel special. Both my mom and bridesmaid who accompanied me were blown away, not only by the store, but by the dresses as well. I absolutely loved working with TGS! Stacy and Audrey are absolutely doing what they were meant to do in life. The Gown Shop in Ann Arbor is a one of a kind, exceptional experience. The store is shut down for you by appointment so that you can freely look and try on dresses with just you and your closest family and friends. Stacy, the owner of the shop, takes time with you and really listens to your wants and needs as a bride. She really knows her stuff and made me feel like I was in good hands. I honestly felt like I was a movie star the day I picked my dress out-as any bride should. I cant say enough about how wonderful the shop and Stacy was. An amazing experience and beautiful gowns.. I need would have thought that dress shopping would have been such a great experience. The individual appointment and caring service was entirely more that I ever could have asked for. I had 2 other appointments the day that I went dress shopping, but I said yes to my dress after roughly 50 minutes and cancelled my other appointments.

I went to the gown shop to a sample sale. It wasn’t my intentions to purchase a dress that day, but since I saw a dress that I was very interested in, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to look. My mom and I arrived at the shop and Stacy greeted us and before we even looked at the gowns, she sat down for a consultation. We discussed all the important things; style, shape, and budget. I gave her an idea that my heart was set on lace. We went through the racks of gorgeous gowns and I pulled way more options than I thought I would. Each dress I tried on, Stacy asked, “Now, what don’t you love about this?” She helped me articulate my vision so clearly that it only took about 7 dresses before I found the one. It was actually a dress that she pulled for me that I had at first overlooked. She explained based on my feedback, this is probably going to be one that I would love. She was right! I put it on and bought it right then, it was just too perfect! That is expertise if I’ve ever seen it! The dress, left to my own devices would have been missed, but with Stacy’s guidance, I found that dress of my dreams!! It is so “me”…and I know my Fiancé’ will love that about it. Thank you, Stacy!!

I bought a dress from The Gown Shop that I had found on Preownedweddingdresses.com. It was not a used dress, but a sample dress, new with tags. Communication was a little slow but the customer service was EXCELLENT! Especially since everything was done via email. The gown I purchased is gorgeous! and the price was so much cheaper than I would have been able to find anywhere else. The Gown Shop was even willing to work with me a little bit on the price (which was already well below the market value). The amount I spent was ultimately out of my budget, but I don't regret it for a second. Don't hesitate to buy from The Gown Shop!

Stacey was extremely helpful in assisting with picking out my bridal gown. She was very present in the process, helping me filter out what I liked/didn't like and pulled/put back dresses that reflected those choices. She was present, but not overbearing, like some bridal shop owners can be. We tried on dresses in order of styles to help figure out what I liked best. She was very accomodating and let me come back in to the shop to purchase the dress/gown after mulling it over at lunch. She understood my personality and helped me pick out the dress that reflected it. She also had a knowledge base of what looked good on my body.

I absolutely loved my experience with The Gown Shop. Stacy and Audrey were wonderful to work with and their boutique is the perfect place. I love that it's by appointment only and you are their only client at that time. Their gowns are beautiful and elegant and they carry some designers that aren't available at any other store in Michigan. I booked my appointment after learning about their sample sale last fall. It was my first time ever trying on dresses and I walked in clueless about wedding fashion and felt a little intimidated. They immediately put me at ease and made the appointment fun. Audrey suggested a dress that she felt fit my personality and it ended up being the one. And best of all, it was part of the sample sale and more than half off the original price so I was able to stick to my budget. I also bought my veil and accessories there and will be returning for shoes!

After watching Stacy help my sister to find her perfect dress, I knew that, when my time came, I had to go to the Gown Shop. Everything about the Gown Shop is perfect. The dresses are not only beautiful but they were all of noticeably higher quality than dresses at other shops. When you're trying on, Stacy takes her time to make sure that the dress fits you the best it can, so that you can actually see yourself in it - unlike other shops that quickly pin you into something and make you carry it around the shop to show your friends and family. It is obvious how much Stacy loves what she does and she is very good at it! I couldn't be happier with my dress and I can't wait to wear it next summer! I went to The Gown Shop for my bridal accessories because it was near my home town, and I wanted make it into a girl family event. Firstly, The Gown Shop is LOVELY, impeccably clean, well maintained, great lighting, vast selection, and of course, great staff. Stacy is a gem to work with. Even though I was only looking for accessories, Stacy let me slip into a bridal gown similar to the one I am wearing in order to get the full effect.

I must have tried on every pair of earrings, bracelet, veils, etc. and once I knew what I was looking for, Stacy said she could special order it for me from the designer. I was nervous about this b/c I never saw the actual pieces before I bought them. However, when I received them a few weeks later (Stacy followed up on the whole process including ensuring their safe delivery and to make sure I was happy!) I was THRILLED. They were spot on and Stacy was right! They looked fabulous.

Even better, Stacy took the time during the appointment to talk about bustle options, shoes, and the overall dress fit. Really she is an expert in the bridal world and Ann Arbor is lucky to have her!

Working with the Gown Shop has been the highlight of my wedding planning experience. Selection: The Gown Shop (TGS) hits the sweet spot of enough variety to assure that you have the world of gowns at your fingertips, but a manageable enough selection to keep you from feeling overwhelmed. I specifically went in to check out the Ivy & Aster trunk show, because TGS is the only shop in Michigan that carries the line, but found myself floored by how great all of the designers carried by the store. From traditional to modern and romantic to glamorous, TGS offers the perfect look for brides across the fashion spectrum.

Experience: The shop is located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor and is beautifully styled. TGS is nothing like the insanity of “Say Yes to the Dress”, which was my point of reference. Stacy gives you her undivided attention for the appointment and the only people shopping during your appointment time are you and your guests. It is relaxed, intimate and there is absolutely no pressure to hurry up and purchase. There were also delicious cookies from Sweet Heather Anne’s on hand, which is certainly the way to my heart.

Do not go elsewhere for your dress, TGS is the ONLY place to get the true bride experience. Not only does Stacy have the best and most diverse selection in her shop, she is classy, intelligent, and simply put, the best. I visited several in the greater Metro Detroit area and nothing compared to the quality, experience, and professionalism of the Gown Shop. You will not be disappointed! The shop itself is simply stunning and just the type of unique, stylish, and intimate setting that all brides look for. Stacey is absoultely wonderful and very comfortable and fun to be around. She really goes above and beyond to make your dress shopping experience special. After my first time visiting I knew that this was the shop I would get my dress from and am so happy I found them!

Stacy is wonderful to work with. She helped me order the dress that I wanted, not what others wanted for me. She also has rules about pictures, trust her when she says it's best to not take pictures.

The store is beautiful, the dress selection is every girl's dream and Stacy is amazing!! Stacy and The Gown Shop offer the best of both glamor and comfort- exactly what I was looking for in a dress and found it:)

Stacy is AMAZING! Absolutely the best place in central/eastern Michigan to get your wedding gown. She's got a great eye and has already pared down the overwhelming selection available to just the most beautiful, elegant, and modern gowns. She will spend whatever time is necessary to make sure you are happy with the dress. She was also extremely accommodating of my friends and family who came along, even when they started pulling dresses off the rack left and right. Really a great experience and I would recommend the Gown Shop to anyone.

The store's owner, Stacy fork was exceptional, not to mention I love my dress! As someone in a same-sex relationship, I had apprehensions about what challenges wedding dress shopping would raise. I was fortunate enough to have found the dress of my dreams in the gorgeous window display at the Gown Shop and my experience working with Stacy Fork, the shop's owner exceeded well beyond my expectations. When New York passed the Marriage Equality Bill last summer, Stacy was one of the first people to congratulate us on our marriage being recognized in the state that will host our ceremony (and our hometown!). Every time I have arranged a meeting with Stacy she has answered all of my questions authentically and with enthusiasm, and has always made both me and my partner feel right at ease in the planning process. I would recommend the Gown Shop to any novice bride who's looking to support local businesses, warm and wonderful store ownership, and who's hoping to develop a lasting relationship with a terrific store and a wonderful woman. I visited every bridal shop in the area and no other store even came close to offering the unique styles and personal attention that Stacy offered. She personally handled every appointment. Through her expertise, she was able to pick for me the perfect gown for my wedding day, as well as the perfect accessories. The seamstress on staff is incredible as well. I had a tight timeline, and they both went out of their way to make sure my dress was completed in time. This is the only bridal shop I would recommend to anyone looking for the perfect, unique dress!

I absolutely love the Gown Shop! The Gown Shop is a beautiful space in downtown Ann Arbor that has a wonderful assortment of bridal gowns. The Gown Shop also has a nice array of veils, shoes, and accessories to try on as well. Stacy, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating. She made the whole dress finding process very fun and enjoyable.

Stacy made my wedding dress experience so special in every way! From the very beginning of the dress-finding-and-buying process, Stacy and The Gown Shop (TGS) were truly head and shoulders above and beyond the other dress shops I went to.

On the day of my first appointment, Stacy opened the shop only for me and my mother and future mother-in-law. No one else was there. She treated me like I was the only person in the whole world, ignoring phone calls, and other knocks at the door. She got to know me and my style. Her recommendations were perfect. The dresses in TGS are stunning and unique and so well made. She takes such pride in her "girls" (the dresses) and it shows! The accessories from jewelry, sashes, and veils, to even shoes and shrugs are stunning! I purchased my entire wedding outfit from TGS and it was so gorgeous! I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience!

Stacy was accommodating to my out-of-control work schedule, opening the shop even very late for my fittings. She responded to emails very quickly and was very flexible even when I had to cancel on her once or twice on the phone. As far as I am concerned, Stacy and TGS are the very gold standard of customer service.

I cannot recommend TGS more highly and I firmly believe if you call Stacy at The Gown Shop, you will NOT be disappointed!!

Stacy was amazing!!!! Her dress selection was perfect for me, and I found a dress with very little trouble. I couldn't find anything that I loved in other gown shops!

In addition, the tailor that she works with was able to make me a custom bolero out of the tulle that my dress was made out of, and it was beautiful and perfect! Hooray!

The Gown Shop is adorable and exemplifies the type of experience you would hope for and expect when looking for anything related to wedding garb. Stacey is helpful, patient and very sweet and is very responsive.

Stacy is fantastic. She really listens and is so helpful. She has the most interesting and unique selection, it is definitely worth going. Other shops just don't compare.

Stacey is wonderful! Her level of service and quality of product is the finest in the area. The thing that is best about her is that she actually LISTENS to what her client is and isn't saying! She doesn't pressure you into making a rash decision just to make a sale; she cares about you being HAPPY and choosing a dress that fits your body AND your personality.

My experience at the gown shop was perfect. The selection of dresses was wonderful and the environment was so relaxed. I had a 1 day window to get fitted and Stacy arranged it perfectly with the seamstress.

I can not say enough good things about The Gown Shop, my experience there was absolutely amazing. I got engaged this past December and looked for a dress for a solid two months until I came across this shop and ended up finding my dream dress there! There isn't one dress there that isn't positively gorgeous which actually made it hard to pick! Also, I haven't seen the designers they carry at any other shop in Metro Detroit which is very cool. The whole experience though is what really made it so special for me. I have been to way too many dress shops and there is really none out there like this. The shop is just positively adorable, all decorated with pink and black. The second I walked in I knew I wanted to by my dress there no matter what :) I didn’t realize this when I went, but they only do one appointment at a time so I literally had the entire shop to myself! It was awesome. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. The owner, Stacy, was just wonderful. It was really refreshing to find finally find such a good sales person. She was super friendly, could tell that she really knows what she is doing and was very patient with me. I needed a little bit of bling to my dress so she suggested a broach for the center of the flower, she added that and voila it was perfect. Another thing I loved was that the dress I ordered actually is ordered and made to my custom measurements which I had not seen anywhere else! So when it arrives it will literally fit to my body and not have to get it altered very much if at all. I’m telling all my engaged friends to skip all the other shops and just go straight to this one. I wish I found it even sooner! :)

Love the setting of the Gown Shop. The Shop is designed so that each bride has the store to herself. She can bring her family and friends and choose from some of the prettiest dresses in the Toledo/Ann Arbor area! Stacy Fork has an excellent eye for detail and only carries the most reputable designers and accessories for your big day!

If you haven't been to the gown shop yet you MUST! Stacy has done such an amazing job creating an upscale studio for her clients to dress shop. Because the studio is so spacious and fabulous you feel like a princess as soon as you walk through the door. Not to mention she stocks the best collection of gowns and accessories all neatly displayed. And her hours are by appointment which ensures that every client gets amazing personalized customer service :) Highly recommended!

An appointment at The Gown Shop is such a special experience! The shop is absolutely adorable, and Stacy reserves it just for you. All of the dresses are beautifully displayed, and easy to see. While I imagine finding the perfect gown to be somewhat of a stressful experience for some brides, visiting the Gown Shop is more like a treat to the bride and her friends. The gowns are gorgeous too :)
