The Greathouse at Loch Nairn

The entire experience from start to finish was seamless and exciting and especially organized by our consultant, Barbara Barnes. We used most of their vendor referrals and was not disappointed. The venue is rustic and warm with the beauty only a countryside locale can provide. My husband and I have been eating there for many years and it became apparent that this would be the location of our wedding if we could secure it. What a score! Our families were so wowed by the appearance of the venue and the service. I found their prices to be reasonable and they even included a 2% rebate due to cash payment. What a super location for a wedding. Only drawback, a large crowd. Our wedding size came to 46 (including us) but I know they can accomodate at least twice the group size. We know where we will be next year on our anniversary, without a doubt :)

Our wedding & reception at Loch Nairn turned out beautifully! We were moving right along with Rebecca, however; she left the venue a few weeks prior to our wedding. Barbara Barnes then took over the responsibility for finalizing everything and did a great job pulling the rest of the details together with very limited direction from us. Rebecca had given us valuable suggestions regarding a DJ - Dana MacDonald, and also suggesting Reverend Robert Devine. Barbara finished the job off in excellent style. She made our wedding & reception everything we wanted it to be. We are extremely happy how it turned out. Loch Nairn is a beautiful venue. Our family & friends had a blast! The ceremony, food, (esp crab cakes... ) drink, presentation and servers were excellent! The staff at Loch Nairn made this day a "10" in everyway. Don't pass this hidden treasure up ! Their professionalism is second to none.

I unfortunately had to deal with the switching of event coordinators multiple times during my course of working with Loch Nairn. However, the people that had to step in the middle and end of my planning did their very best to follow through with what was discussed/planned ahead of time.
There were some bumps on the day of and all though the staff asked how they could make it better/or what they could do, it didn't seem sincere or genuine from my perspective.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was beautiful, and me and my guests had a wonderful unforgettable night.

We had our wedding at Loch Nairn in October 2012 and we could not have been happier with how it turned out. Everything was perfect on our special day; from the food to the beautiful reception hall. We initially started with Rebecca as our wedding planner; midway through in the summer when Rebecca left we were switched to Barbara. Needless to say we were nervous at first, but Barbara did an exception job and handled the transition seamlessly. We did a unique setup for our ceremony site where the seats were spread in a circular formation, this was the first time Loch Nairn had performed this setup and it turned out perfectly, the head captain ensured everything was perfect with the setup and he did an amazing job. We recommend Loch Nairn to everyone who is getting married in the Chester County area, the area is beautiful, the reception hall is beautiful, the views are breath taking. They will even include small flowers for the tables so you don’t have to spend extra money on the center pieces. The food prices are on the higher-end but once you taste the cooking you realize it’s worth every penny! We chose the surf and turf as our primary entree and it was AMAZING!

Loch Nairn has done it again! We were engaged in their wine cellar, had our rehearsal dinner in the Farmhouse, and our wedding reception in the Great House- and all three could not have been more perfect! Working with Barbara was nothing short of wonderful and the staff working the events far exceeded our expectations!
The food was 5-star (as usual!), the setting was absolutely beautiful, and every Loch Nairn employee went above and beyond for every one of my friends and family members. Everyone was completely blown away!

The wedding at Loch Nairn was beautiful. We did it during lunch time on a Sunday to cut costs, and we were told the Round Room would be occupied with customers. You hardly noticed them! The servers are outstanding, Barbara Barnes is on top of everything (and so sweet!) and all of our guests commented on how great the food was. The venue has a great rustic/country feel and it was exactly what we were looking for.

This was a number of years ago but the day and memories are still wonderful. We had a very large but quick storm right before the outdoor wedding ceremony was about to start. The staff never skipped a beat, rearranged everything inside & the day ceremony & day were perfect.

Loch Nairn is such a great place in Southern Chester County to host your event. Beautful grounds to hold your ceremony on-site followed by your reception in a unique setting. The staff are excellent and look after you and your guests every need - the food and service are impeccable. Well worth the visit.

Working a wedding at Loch Nairn is always a great day for me. From the gorgeous grounds, to the attentive staff, events at Loch Nairn always go perfectly. Both The Round Room and The Greatroom make ideal backdrops for wedding day photos. I am happy to be a preferred vendor at such a great location!
