Walkers Overlook

Mark, David, and Missi at Walker's Overlook made our wedding day and the days leading up to it comfortable, seamless, stress-free and memorable. All very responsive to concerns or questions that arose via email, they all did everything they could to meet our needs. I had a wedding of 125 guests with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour and the reception in the tent. The house was beautifully prepared to receive guests with the clean landscaping and beautifully maintained lawn. The team even helped with our set-up the day of and were available to our families and bridal/grooms parties to lend a hand wherever it was needed. We hit a snag when our DJ was late to the ceremony and David took the reigns and had the music ready via iphone - no one noticed the switch! While the day was calm due to the preparedness of the venue, Mark, Missi and David didn't allow this DJ fiasco to stress myself or the groom - they handled everything and it was under control! Our parents as well as ourselves have been receiving compliments about the wedding site - the landscape and uniqueness of the setting really make for a memorable wedding. We used as much as the yard as we could - the large tree under which we were married, the field for lawn games, the patio for cocktails and the tent for dancing. Our guests were able to take full advantage of the entire property comfortably. This venue is ideal for a wedding whether it be upscale, rustic, or somewhere in-between. Mark, David and Missi are warm and professional and clearly experienced to deal with any bumps in the road or to maintain the high-quality status quo. Highly recommend!!

Our daughter got married here in April and as this was our first time being responsible for a wedding and I was a nervous wreck. However, after meeting Mark and Missi, my worries went out the window. I have not one single complaint and we were happy with 100% of the day/evening. They have a calming way about them which makes you automatically feel you are in competent hands. They (and also David) were around the entire day and evening and saw to it that everything went as planned. The view (wedding was held outside) overlooking the countryside was breathtaking and the bridal suite was huge and made getting ready (9 women, plus hairdressers, and make-up people) very easy and enjoyable. This location is about an hour-and-a-half away from us but if we want to hold another large party we would definately consider holding it there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a venue for any type of party. Many thanks Mark, Missi and David for making our daughter's special day so special!

We had our ceremony and reception at The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit and everything was wonderful! The venue, food, and service all exceeded our expectations. Our coordinator, Krystal was so organized made sure that everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. We didn't have to worry about a thing!

I can not say enough to express how wonderful it was working with Mark and David at Walker's Overlook! We held the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception here. The flexability they offered to us in regards to decorating the friday before and leaving safely all tuxes, gowns and supplys in the main house prior to rehearsal was most helpful! On the wedding day, the upstairs floor accommadated myself, mothers, five bridesmaids, one junior bridesmaid, flower girl and make-up/sylylist full access to two bathrooms having showers, jet baths, and sizable mirror space for everyone to get ready. There is a small porch/balcony that has a table and chairs for you to take some quiet time to collect your thoughts...which I found myself there quite often to reflect and appreciate the moment. Realizing, as I leaned over the balcony enjoying the great fall weather, David and his crew were mowing, blowing leaves out of the shrubbery and off of the patios. They used the leaf blower several times before the ceremony. The grounds were IMMACULATE. They even fired up the smokehouse for me to give the air that fall like smell during the ceremony. The reception was held in the tent, accomadating 135 guests, the caterer, and the DJ. Mark and David were there the entire time and made everything run smooth. Their attention to what is important was very intuitive. Our wedding pictures were taken on the grounds. Many places to use as backdrops: Gazeebo, barns, smokehouse, fence rows, huge walnut tree, his fathers' antique truck, front porch, formal rooms inside the house, one being a small nook just up the stairs that is quite unique. This venue made our most special day PERFECT!

We could not have been happier with the location, the staff, the assistance and most of all, our coordinator, Krystal. The day went beyond perfectly. All of our vendors, who had never been to the Lodge before, all said that she made their lives easy and hassle free as well. The extra special excitement to our wedding, on 10/29/11, was the giant snowstorm that dropped 10+ inches; even with the worry of losing power (that this bride didn't even know about until after) was looked at, dealt with and fears to family members subsided. Anyone that appreciates a rustic setting, nature and beauty will appreciate the Lodge. The food was wonderful and the ambiance is fun. They get super extra props for putting Ernie the Elk head back up in his right place, as another bride demanded it be taken down for her wedding. The day before our wedding, Ernie was back up covered in the planned decor I had for him...except the cigarette in his mouth. Thank you, Lodge and Krystal!

My wedding at The Lodge was wonderful! The venue is beautiful, the food is amazing and the staff were great. Overall, the venue was a good value. The day was carried out seamlessly and everything ran according to plan. The staff were helpful in setting up and even took care of a lot of my decorations for me. They were accommodating with venue visits, setting-up times and more. I highly recommend the Lodge as a wedding venue!

Our daughter was married at the Lodge 3 weeks ago. The wedding,
from ceremony to reception, was perfect in every way. Family and friends are still talking about how wonderful it was. The venue-awsome!, the food- superb and the staff worked very, very hard to please. I have never seen so much enthusiasm from my husband! It was a day we will never, ever forget!!!

We fell in love with the Lodge the moment we saw the view overlooking the mountains. The food was delicious and Krystal bent over backwards to make sure everything ran smoothly. Her hospitality (and that of all the staff) during the event was phenomenal - she brought us appetizers while the photos were being taken so we could actually eat and even took care of our families! Thank you for a fantastically beautiful day.

The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit was the perfect location for our wedding in April 2011. We really liked that we could have the ceremony and reception at the same location. It made it really convenient for our guests. The wedding party even stayed at the Lodge, and the Lodge had a delicious for our guests in the morning.

Our wedding at the Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit was beautiful. With numerous out of town guests, many people were stunned with the beauty of the mountains and sunset. The facility is beautiful enough that it requires very little additional decor. The staff was very accommodating and we were impressed with the level of attention they gave our wedding when they are regularly occurring at the Lodge. We also used the Lakeside location for our ceremony which is only a short drive from the Lodge and provided another visually interesting site for our guests. It really is a beautiful venue, especially for a fall wedding like our own!

The Lodge is set up in the mountains in Pennsylvania and provides a beautiful setting for outdoor weddings. Krystal, who takes care of the events, is amazing. We kept referring to her as our super woman because she honestly took care of every little thing. I started to tear up during the toasts at the reception and she was there 2 seconds later with tissues. Our vases for the sand ceremony broke 20 minutes before the ceremony started and she suddenly had new ones ready for us! The setting made for a beautiful and relaxing wedding and Krystal allowed for a flawless wedding. The combination was awesome! We stayed at the Inn over the wedding weekend, our close family stayed at the Lodge, we had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception there - and I recommend this location for all of the above.

The service was excellent. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and would not have been able to accomplish it without the staff at the Lodge. It was awesome. The pricing was great. And when you see it for the first time you wil fall in love with the view. It is gorgeous. The staff really made our experience out of this world.

My experience at the Lodge was fantastic! My wedding day was more perfect than I ever thought it could be. Krystal from the Lodge kept everything running smoothly and the service provided by the staff on the wedding day was truly exceptional. We received so many compliments from guest on how amazing the venue was and how smoothly everything turned out. The Lodge was extremely flexible but also gave plenty of guidance as far as setting up for the reception. A room was provided by the staff for groomsmen/groom and bridesmaids/bride to get ready in.

We went with the buffet option for the reception: the food was fantastic and we also had many great comments about the meal. The service provided by Krystal, Mark and the other staff at the Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit was above and beyond anything I would have ever expected from a wedding venue. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering having a wedding in a gorgeous location and having staff that really wants to make your day exceptional.

We also had the rehearsal dinner at the Lodge and it went wonderfully as
well. The food was excellent and the staff were very hospitable. We were also able to bring a lot of our supplies for the wedding up to the Lodge the night before so we had less set-up for the following day.

Dorlah at the Lodge was a great coordinator. She asked us what we wanted to have and did exactly that. As the bride and groom, she gave us whatever we needed. Our parents were also treated with utmost respect. The Lodge has beautiful outdoor sites for a ceremony and photos.

The Inn and Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit is an amazing venue. My husband and I opted for an outdoor wedding on the lawn behind the Lodge. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The Lodge itself has really great character! The staff were very accommodating to help us have the perfect wedding day. We had plenty of space to get ready and there are several spots around the grounds for great pictures! All of our guests raved about how delicious the food was. They have a great menu selection that is reasonably priced. They made everything so easy for us and helped us to plan the day exactly how we wanted. I cannot say enough great things about the Lodge; I would get married there again in a heartbeat!!

The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit is an absolutely beautiful setting at an unbelievable price. The staff was all so incredibly helpful and easy to work with. The food is incredibly delicious. My big day went off without a hitch, everything went so smoothly and we had an amazing time. I absolutely could not find one bad thing to say about the staff or location. I would and will be recommending this location to anyone having a wedding or big event.

We had a wonderful experience with the Inn and Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit. The managment and staff were very professional and accomadating. The pricing was higher than other sites, but well worth it.

Everyone that was involved took wonderful care of us. I especially was very impressed with Crystal. She was very organized and professional. She "held by hand" through the whole process. She took the time to answer all of our questions and made suggestions along the way. The food was great, the staff was helpful and took care of our needs. I would highly recommend The Lodge to other brides that are thinking about getting married. Maurice says when we renew our vows we want to do it at The Lodge.

The Lodge was absolutely perfect for our wedding. We could not have asked for anything more. The location, atmosphere, food, hospitality, staff and flexibility were all excellent. All of our guests were very impressed and we received many compliments about all of the above mentioned things. It was nice that our out of town guests were able to stay on the grounds and were very appreciative of this option. Krystal was extremely helpful and very accomodating to our needs. I can not say enough about the lodge!

Out in the open and great view. Food was great and I had a blast.

What a beautiful setting and atmoshere to have our Reception. It is possible to have Wedding there also and if it is outside -- you get a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and would be an outstanding ceremony. We expected before we made contact that it would be out of price range but were we wrong and lucky. At the time The Lodge was in "makeover" phase and we even received an additional 10% discount. Even without the discount, we would still have chosen The Lodge. The food was great, the people are fantastic to work with and the atmosphere is incredible. We looked into five other places and no one in this area will compare to The Lodge. You will find everything you need there and be worry free on your biggest day. Without a doubt, if you do not call The Lodge for your wedding plans, you will be missing out on a fabulous venue.

Wlalkers Overlook is a great new venue and we highly recommend it if you are looking for an outside venue for a wedding. The grounds are lovely and photograph very, very nice. Mark Lynch and his staff will take great care of you for your wedding day.

The Inn and Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit is a STUNNING venue for any wedding! The elegance of the red carpet in the main Lodge with the backdrop of the beautiful fireplace eludes to an richness of days gone by! The staff is fantastic to work with both as a vendor, and from what I have heard from Brides.
