Amazing! Sarah and her staff were simply amazing! The food was delicious and the staff very attentive to guests. I will use Mass Appeal again and would highly recommend it to all of my friends.

Where do I even begin!? Sarah at Mass Appeal was an absolute joy to work with. She is their catering manager (I believe?!) and was charged with helping us design our perfect reception at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral in the Short North. First, those two vendors works very well together. Sarah knows Carol at GO and knows the facility so she is familiar with the layout of the banquet hall. Second, Sarah is extremely prompt in responding to your emails/calls/questions. There were times when I had questions pop into my head at two in the morning and emailed her and she would email me back at six in the morning! She was fabulous! She is very sweet, thoughtful, hard-working and will do anything to make you feel happy and comfortable with your reception. Third, the food was FABULOUS. We opted to have four food stations, a salad station, pasta station (they make it for your guests right in front of them!), potato bar (people LOVED this) and a prime rib carving station (it was delicious and perfectly prepared). I did not expect the food to be so tasty, but we had compliments all night on how truly delicious everything was. Personally, my husband and I loved the prime rib - it was a huge hit. Fourth, the cost of the reception cannot be matched. For such high quality service, I would have expected to pay much, much more. Mass Appeal worked within our budget to create a menu that was worth much more than what we paid! It was a tremendous value. My husband, who paid for a majority of our wedding was thrilled with the prices and the quality of the food and service. Fifth, Sarah worked her butt off to setup our room to be a beautiful reception room. My vision was to have flowers and candles everywhere and she achieved this flawlessly. It was a beautiful, candle-lit, romantic evening thanks to Sarah and her team! We love Mass Appeal and Sarah! Thank you for making our wedding dreams come true!!

My daughter had a large New Year's Eve wedding reception at the St. Charles catered by Mass Appeal. A month later, our guests are still talking about how this was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they had ever been to! The food was amazing and Sarah and her staff had our guests served in no time which was not easy with the amount of guests. We also appreciated Sarah's ideas in the early planning stages and letting us use their vases, linens, and votive candles. Everything turned out absolutely perfect and more than we ever imagined!

On November 17 my daughter Corey was married at the Grange Audubon with Mass Appeal Dining as their caterer. Finding a caterer was not an easy process because Corey and Chad designed a cocktail hour and dinner buffet menu of Ohio comfort foods with the expectation that the food would be sourced locally & it would all be organic. Most caterers just us told us 'no.' Tastings with other caterers were sadly disappointing until we tried the root vegetable bisque made by Mass Appeal's Chef Nick Muska. Chef Muska was at the tasting to talk with Corey and Chad and discuss vendors and sources for food and how he could accommodate their specific needs. We have had rave reviews of the apple sausage tartlets, sauerkraut balls, local breads, Ohio cheeses, and the incredibly good pork and sauerkraut, as well as beef and root vegetables in wine sauce. My Mother-in -Law commented on the macaroni and cheese recipe saying it was reminiscent of her mother's Italian style recipe - and the kids and adults at the wedding loved it. Mass Appeal took autumn comfort foods and made them tasty with elegant presentation for a crowd! Provided a list of all the local vendors. All this for a very reasonable price!

Sarah Selhorst represents Grange Audubon, a fantastic facility and what a great help Sarah was. She listened and helped get Corey exactly what she wanted with advice on decorations and event set-up and flow. But NOT cookie cutter - Sarah adjusted to meet Corey's concerns. We dropped off MANY pumpkins and gourds & other decorative items, upon arrival at the venue...Sarah had turned it into autumn splendor! Everyone commented on what a nice space and how beautiful it was.

At the reception Sarah checked in with Corey and kept the flow going at Corey's pace. The wait staff was attentive and very kind and took care of the bride and groom and the head table as if we were in the finest restaurant. Sarah, the wait staff, and the Chef are an incredible team and we thank them all.

I am so glad that we decided to have our reception at the Jessing Center. The location was perfect (right across from the hotels where we booked our room blocks), and the room itself is so intimate and beautiful. Working with Mass Appeal (and Sarah) was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and I felt very confident in having my reception there, knowing that professionalism, security, and throwing a wonderful party, are priorities for them, and I can't say enough about how wonderful everything was. All our guests commented about how beautiful the room was, and how delicious the food was (Thank you, Mass Appeal!). The space itself is a bit expensive, and the food was also a bit pricy (only because PCJ charges Mass Appeal so much extra), but overall, both were well worth the expense! I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding reception!

We chose a perfect place for our daughter's wedding! Being newbies at this process we also picked the perfect caterer. Mass Appeal does not only cater a wedding they are there to assist you in planning the perfect event. Sarah Selhorst listened and heard what our daughter wanted for her day. From the linens to the placement of center pieces to the candles to the lighting the venue was beautiful. Guests commented that it looked like something from a movie set. Overall the food was delicious and guests were pleased with their choices, with the exception of the pork. It was tasty just tough. The staff is awesome! Dinner was served in a very timely fashion, plates and glasses were cleared unnoticed. When the staff was asked for something their response was immediate. And at the end of the evening they had our things packed and ready to go without us lifting a finger. When we are asked about the wedding our response is it was awesome!

We were extremely happy with the smooth process of planning our reception and the outcome. Sarah was very helpful with figuring out what choices to make for the space and had some great ideas of her own. The catering was good and we were able to adjust dishes to fit our menu for the better.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mass Appeal. I used them for my October wedding and was completely satisfied. The service and food were wonderful. Sarah, the Director of Catering and Sales was my savior during the planning process. From the very first email I sent requesting an estimate to the day of the wedding, she was amazing. I had such a hard time visualizing my reception, after a few emails and conversations, she brought everything to life and it was just simply beautiful. I had over 250 guests the price of everything was very reasonable and well within my budget. I did price other caterers and for everything I wanted, the price would have been close to double what Mass Appeal charged. The food was delicious, my guests are still complimenting my husband and I on our menu choices. We had the Pear Salad, Cherry BBQ Pork Chop (my personal favorite), Mashed Potatoes (highly recommend), Roast Beef and Asparagus. All in all, I highly recommend Mass Appeal.

I had my wedding reception at The Jessing Center at the Josephinum which uses Mass Appeal Catering. I had an excellent experience with Sarah and Ashley who made everything easy and come together beautifully. My guests had such a great experience and loved the food so much that I heard about them raving about it from third party people who weren't there. The space is layed out nice, food is great with tons of options, beautiful facility and grounds, lots of decor to use for free and also huge selection of rentals at great prices, excellent communication, affordable, and the list goes on! Ashley and Sarah are like your own personnal wedding coordinators and they really make everything so easy. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Sarah, Cynthia and all of the staff were fantastic!! Sarah was helpful and responsive throughout the planning process and offered great ideas! On the day of the wedding the venue was BEAUTIFUL! Sarah and her staff had done a wonderful job setting up and we couldn't have been happier. The food was fantastic. We received countless complements on the quality of the food at the wedding from friends and family. I would recommend Mass Appeal, Sarah and the Jessing Center to anyone planning a wedding.

My wife, Jan, and I would like to take this opportunity to let you how much we enjoyed working with Sarah Selhorst and Mass Appeal Dinning Services, and what a wonderful job Sarah and her staff did with catering our daughter, Erica’s wedding on October 6th, 2012. With only one daughter, this process was totally new for us.

Erica and her fiancé, Sean, started looking into catering services over a year ago. When she talked to Sarah about Mass Appeal Dinning Services, Sarah was very helpful and informative with telling Erica what services she provided and Erica was very impressed with Sarah and booked her immediately for the next year’s wedding!

As the year progressed and Jan and I began making arrangements for the details, we met with Sarah at the Jessing at the Josephinum to review details of the wedding. I was very pleased that Sarah allowed us to buy our own alcohol (which was only beer and wine) and supply the alcohol at the wedding reception.

The day of the wedding, Sarah and her staff were at the Bryce Eck Center that we had reserved for the reception early in the morning setting up the tables and the reception hall. The tables, chairs, and entire wedding reception hall looked absolutely beautiful. The dinner buffet was just awesome! I had several compliments on the dinner and how everything was served and handled. Sarah and her staff truly did an outstanding job that night.

Our overall experience working with Sarah and her staff was truly a wonderful experience! Everyone did an outstanding and awesome job with handling the wedding reception for our daughter, Erica. I would definitely recommend Mass Appeal Dinning Services for any catering function you may have. Thank you, Sarah and your staff for doing such a great job!!!

Mass Appeal did an absolutely phenomenal job, and I cannot imagine another caterer possibly pulling off our wedding reception the way Mass Appeal was able to. The only category I can't give Mass Appeal a perfect "5" for is "Responsiveness"....and that is primarily because of a simple miscommunication in email addresses. I was deployed to Afghanistan for the year prior to the wedding, and in our attempts to reach each other during the week prior to the wedding, Sarah and I were missing each other because of the changed email address after my return. I almost guarantee that won't happen to anyone else, so I would disregard that. During the year prior, Sarah took plenty of time out of her life to help us organize this wedding. In addition to late night emails while I was overseas, Sarah met with my fiance multiple times throughout the year to sort out decoration ideas, food choices, and other basic wedding support functions. She does more than simply "cater" the wedding...she's effectively your coordinator in a way that is unanticipated. I was never going to pay for a coordinator to begin with, and looking back, I STILL would not pay for a coordinator. However, Sarah fills the role of "coordinator" in such a way that she isn't "in control" or in charge, but is rather in COMPLETE SUPPORT of everything you need the day of the wedding. If for some odd reason you hired a wedding coordinator (for the reception)....I would recommend that you get rid of your coordinator and utilize Mass Appeal exclusively; save the money. She's that good. The day before the wedding, I brought a truckload of decorations over to the Mass Appeal office to hand off to Mass Appeal for setup the day of the wedding. We loaded everything into their moving truck and gave pictures to Sarah for setup of the different decorations and tables. She nearly flawlessly recreated the decorations at the venue as my fiance originally designed and intended for them to be displayed. Mass Appeal = success.

As the mother of the bride for the first time and it being an out of town wedding for me, I was unsure on how all this would come together. Sarah made it so simple. She took our vision and Walters Commons was transformed it into a beautiful venue. The colors used were navy, bright orange and shocking pink. Sarah's experience with the venue and linens made the colors come alive. It was gorgeous.

The food we chose was outstanding. People raved about the crab dip appetizer and the cheese and fruit were fresh and beautifully displayed. The guests loved the beef ribs and the horseradish mashed potatoes. The best thing about the food was that it was hot, even though we were running about 20 minutes behind due to the toasts.

Sarah's staff is so professional and were so helpful! Just lighting the 300 plus candles and placing the favors were amazing tasks....yet they got it done! They were courteous to our guests and a major help getting things cleaned up and ready to go at the end of the reception.

Sarah is an outstanding professional and an excellent communicator. I had many questions as the day approached and she handled every detail. She uses email, text and phone calls for the times I just needed to hear and ask extension questions from the answers. She was always quick to respond and to put my fear to rest. She provided her professional opinion, when asked, and helped us with several decisions we got stuck on.

The value for what we received was excellent. You will not go wrong with her staff, the food and the support she lends in putting on a wedding.

I am sure this feedback is too long, but I believe the quality in the details she provided deserved this long recommendation..

This was my only mother of the bride gig, but I must say, it was an outstanding experience thanks to Sarah's attention to detail and her outstanding staff.

Mass Appeal made our event exciting and extraordinary. The servers were pleasant, kind, attentive and polite at all times. They paid special attention to us as the wedding couple always checking in to see if we needed anything. The food was marvelous and the presentation was stunning.

Mass Appeal is amazing! From the very beginning Sarah was professional and personable. She guided us through many aspects of planning a reception! Her calm nature helped calm me down when I was stressed out about the nonsense that comes along with planning a wedding. When it came closer to our wedding date we attended a group tasting and we were scared because although the food we tasted was delicious, it wasn’t what we had in mind for the dinner we wanted to serve. We contacted Sarah and she set up a private tasting for us and allowed us to choose items off the menu that we wanted to serve at our wedding. At the private food tasting the head chef came out and explained the food items we tasted. During the tasting Sarah went over every aspect of the reception from cocktail hour to the last song that would be played that evening.
Our reception was at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. When we walked into the Audubon Center after our ceremony at a nearby church it took my breath away! Sarah and her assistant Cynthia snuck inside my head and got my vision on how I wanted the reception to look! It was beyond my expectations! Everything was so perfect! When it came to dinner everyone was raving about how wonderful the food was! My sister (maid of honor) is a vegetarian and they provided a fish dinner for her and she said that it was probably one of the best meals she had in a long time. A lot of guests were pleased with how quick the wait staff was with refilling drinks and removing plates. Many enjoyed the fact that they felt like a priority and they thoroughly enjoyed the service the staff provided.
I highly recommend Mass Appeal Dining. They take care of you from the very beginning and make sure that your day is everything you wanted it to be! Sarah was a God send the entire time, especially the week leading up to the wedding. She is amazing and her staff is wonderful!

Sarah Selhorst and her staff at Mass Appeal are more than amazing. Our daughter's wedding was on 9/1/12 and the reception was at The Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Sarah listened to everything Katie (our daughter/the bride) wanted. It took my breath away when we walked into the Audubon Center. Sarah/Mass Appeal totally understood what Katie and Josh wanted. We had family and friends come up to us during the reception saying that everything was so beautiful, that they were so happy to be there and that they couldn't get over how the ambiance at the reception was something they hadn't experienced before! It was absolutely perfect. Keep in mind, this is the first wedding we've gone through so we didn't know what to expect. Sarah Selhorst "got" what Katie and Josh wanted and presented this very special day in the best of all ways. We would absolutely recommend Sarah Selhorst/Mass Appeal for your wedding reception or any special occasion. Oh, and by the way, just to let you know about Sarah's exceptional service, Josh said that the bridal table was served their dinner but, he and Katie had to leave the table to greet someone. When they got back to the table, their dinner plates were gone! Within not even a minute, Sarah brought their plates back with fresh/hot food! She observed that they had to step away from the table and didn't want them to dine on cold food. Pretty amazing!!!

Sarah with Mass Appeal was knowledgeable and helpful. I did DIY flowers, and she got me a great deal on wholesale flowers. We had our reception at the Grange Audubon Center, so having Sarah coordinate events there too was very nice. Sometimes Sarah took a while to respond to my questions, and I think that she could have offered us more guidance about how much food to order. The food was really tasty, though, and we got so many complements on the mashed potato bar. However, we also were missing some of the caberet tables for our event, but we were refunded when we brought it up to them after the wedding. Overall, I recommend them for the combo of value and comprehensiveness of service.

We could not be happier with our wedding experience with Sarah and Mass Appeal. Sarah was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. She patiently answered the many questions from me and my family, provided fantastic recommendations for other vendors, and was there making sure everything went smoothly on the actual wedding day. We have received multiple compliments from our wedding guests on how great the food tasted. Guests were also impressed with the fantastic service provided by the Mass Appeal staff. Sarah made sure the day was what we wanted and helped with some last minute details that we had forgotten. She even packed us meals to take home, since we were too wrapped up in the fun and excitement to eat. I would strongly recommend Mass Appeal and Sarah Selhorst.

We had our wedding at Walters Commons and Mass Appeal provided the catering. Sarah Selhorst was awesome in helping not only to set up the event, but in making sure it went off perfectly. We had countless compliments on the food and the venue. Sarah coordinated everything with the band, cake lady, and even helped with a sound guy from St Charles. I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah, Mass Appeal, and Walters Commons!

The Jessing Center (Mass Appeal) was a hidden secret, that I'm glad i found. I looked for hours and hours and days and days to find the perfect venue for me. Once I stepped in the Jessing Center, I knew I found it. Its also important to trust and know you will get along with the planner. I can't even begin to explain how awesome Ashley from Mass Appeal is...She is patient..she listens to what you want..and she was always available whenever I needed her. She also has alot of great ideas to add!!! The food was great...I recieved so many compliments. We had a roast beef carving station and a martini mashed potato bar, I would totally recommend, as well as many different appetizers. The venue is absolutely beautiful and doesn't need that many decorations, even though I decided to add a few extra touches. It's still beautiful without. It was bring your own alcohol, which saved us a ton of money. My wedding was perfect..thanks to the help of Mass Appeal, Ashley, and The Jessing Center!

Sarah was great to work with and I would highly recommend. She is very helpful in all areas from the planning to the day of, which ensured a seamless transition from one event to another. The food was great, and I have had several positive comments.

Where to begin?! I guess I will start with Ashley who I was lucky enough to have as our onsite coordinator. Ashley is AMAZING! As an out of town bride & someone that does not trust many people, I had a lot on my plate & was expecting to have to do everything for the wedding myself. Luckily, the first moment I met Ashley I trusted her. She was able to take over & make my dream wedding become a reality! Ashley is personable, fun, calm & highly attentive. She truly became part of the family & after speaking regularly for 8 months, I was sad to say goodbye on our wedding day. My wedding couldn't have been my dream wedding without Ashley.
Food- WOW. I have NEVER had so many compliments on food! We did the stations options so it was unique, delicious & cost effective. I couldn't have asked for better food.
Service. I loved our servers! They were courteous, quick & fun to be around. Towards the end of the night, as they were clearing off the tables, I saw a couple of the servers dancing as they worked. I LOVED IT! It made me feel like they wanted to be there & were having fun. No one wants a stick-in-the-mud group at their wedding!
Misc.- One thing I found AMAZING was that Mass Appeal offers on-site coordinators for free. I didn't find other caterers offering this. Weddings are overwhelming so having someone who knows what they're doing is very helpful. Also, Mass Appeal has many centerpieces to use which allowed me to do the centerpiece I had envisioned for next to nothing! Lastly, they offer many different colored linens for free! This is virtually unheard of & was a huge plus.
Overall? I have to say this was by the best decision I made. Mass Appeal had the most cost effective caterer I found. They cost nearly $3,000 less than my second choice & had much better food! I have recommended Mass Appeal to all of my friends who are getting married & will continue to do so. I don't know when, but I know we will use Ashley and Mass Appeal again...maybe our baby...

My experience with mass appeal was totally done thru Sarah Selhorst. I can't say enough good things about Sarah. She was professional, reliable, willing to do any thing I ask of her. I felt like I had my own personal wedding planner. We loved the venue. Sarah added so many extra touches.
The food was very good. We didn't get to try the appetizers because we were too busy greeting guests, but heard the we're delicious and so attractively served.
We will definitely recommend mass appeal, especially if Sarah is the contact person.

There is not much I can say about Mass Appeal and Sarah that hasn't already been said. I had a wonderful experience with Sarah. She had great ideas and went above and beyond to make our day wonderful. The food was delicious! I had so many comments about how wonderful the food and service was. Many people commented that the servers and the bartenders were so very nice and friendly too. I would highly recommend the beef short ribs - everyone loved them! Loved this vendor!!!

Sarah! Wow, I do not know where to begin. A dream! Highly professional, easy to work with, reliable, excellent follow through, and a great staff. We hired Mass Appeal to cater our daughters wedding. She went above and beyond what I ever would have expect. She did so many things for us that all other caters charged for. She really cares about making your day as easy as possible, without nickel and diming you to death. She assisted with every little detail, to even to help reglue decorations that became sholved in transport. Her staff was energetic thru the end of the night, even assisting us in loading our cars after most of them had been on their feet for 12 hours. I wish I had more room ro add how she glided with the grace of a ballerina, with watching every detail. A true asste tp every bride and their families. I would highly recommend over and over again. Thank you Sarah and special thanks to your lovely staff!

I would absolutely recommend Mass Appeal and the Jessing Center to anyone! We had so many compliments on the food and the professionalism of everyone that was working at our reception. Ashley, our event coordinator, recommended stations for food and it turned out to be the perfect choice! She went out of her way to make sure our wedding was extra special. We had several last minute preparation items that still needed to be completed the morning of our wedding. Ashley gladly completed every one of them and when I walked in to our reception, it looked amazing. She really pulled it all together. The entire staff was wonderful to work with.

Sarah and her crew are the most amazing people to work with! She was very easy to work with and answered every question we had. Her staff was clean cut, presentable and all had a great attitude. I can't tell you how many weddings I've been to where the staff is rude but Sarah's crew was awesome; so friendly and easy going! In addition to the food we rented linens, a tent, china, flatware, etc and everything went smoothly. We had a horrible storm hit the night before the wedding and the power was out for days all over the city; this didn't affect the food or service at all. I couldn't believe how well everything came together. My mom later told me some of my picture frames had broken and Sarah spent the time gluing them all back together! She is such a sweetheart and I really enjoyed working with her. I've really never met anyone like her before; she really has her stuff together. She isn't razzled like most caterers and she made me feel like my wedding was a real priority to her, not just a paycheck. Even with a storm knocking the power out Sarah made sure everything was executed as planned. Sarah, if you read this, I cannot thank you enough for all you did for us; we were so fortunate to find you. Do yourself a favor and book Mass Appeal, you can't go wrong!

Mass Appeal did a fantastic job catering and running our reception. Ashley was very attentive to all my needs and concerns and made the day so enjoyable and stress free. The food was very delicious which had all our guest eating seconds and commenting it was the best wedding food they have had. The staff was great as well as we had no problems or concerns. We highly recommend Mass Appeal and enjoyed working with them to plan our perfect wedding reception.

All of the food was wonderful and Sarah was very easy to get a hold of and talk to when I had questions.

Sarah is one of the most enjoyable and amazing people I have met. She was willing to go above and beyond to make our day special. Not only does she cater, she sets the reception venue up (even set up my center pieces), she also made our seating chart and table numbers. She did an amazing job. I cannot say enough good things about Sarah Selhorst and Mass Appeal.
Given the choice between two caterers our decision came down the fact that I could willingly hand over the reigns to Sarah to ensure our special day went off without a hitch. As a self-admitting control-freak, I was relieved she was completely on page with my vision and kept the evening rolling seamlessly. I even had guests compliment me on what a great job "the lady in the red dress" did :)
We attended two tastings with Mass Appeal and loved all of the food, but I definitely had that lingering thought in the back of my head, "but will it translate to mass production?" Wedding food is generally not memorable unless it was terrible. Well I'm not sure if this is possible, but I think the food was even better at my event! I'm finally writing this review 8 months later and still receiving compliments on our dinner from that night!
The staff was friendly. Pat was our server who introduced herself to us and made sure we had everything we could possibly need.
I would absolutely suggest this caterer to a friend!

Mass Appeal did a great job on the day of! They had a lower than average price and a much higher than average performance. The crew was always working and ensuring that everything was running smoothly without being overbearing. The guests had several positive things to say about the food. I cannot stress how pleased we are with the performance of Mass Appeal!

Sarah and the staff at Mass Appeal were incredible. Everything was perfect from the table linens, bar setup, # of wait staff, and food. Sarah was like having my own wedding planner from the start. She helped answer so many of my questions and referred me to a lot of great vendors. They were also so patient with us when we were trying to decide on dinner. We ended up having awesome appetizers and then a dinner that people are still talking about. We had filet, honey mustard pork tenderloin, garlic mashed potatoes, and honey glazed carrots. It was incredible. I would book Mass Appeal again in a hearbeat.

Mass Appeal catered our reception at The Vault in Columbus on May 5th, 2012. They did a great job at the reception and Sarah was amazing throughout the entire process! They had a variety of foods for us to try at the tasting. We wanted to do something a little different than the traditional reception dinner foods, so we chose their short ribs and ravioli as our entree,s and we received compliments all night about the food. We had about 150 people at our reception, and everything tasted just like it did at our tasting! In addition to the food being great, Sarah did an incredible job helping to plan and set up the reception. She was very easy to get in touch with, flexible with meeting times, and had a ton of ideas for how we could decorate. She did a great job setting up the reception venue the day before the wedding as well. It really felt like we got both a caterer and a wedding planner with Mass Appeal!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Mass Appeal for our April 2012 wedding. Mass Appeal provides a variety of delicious but affordable menu options for all types of budgets and a top notch, professional staff who are kind, helpful and attentive to every guest’s need. We worked primarily with Sarah, Director of Catering and Sales who was an absolute pleasure to get to know and went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was easy to meet with and quick to respond to my emails. She made suggestions and gave advice on all things wedding, making my planning process a breeze. On the day of, Sarah acted as the main point of contact to coordinate between the DJ, Florist, Cake Lady and Photographer, which made our day run completely smooth—we were able to relax and thoroughly enjoy each minute of the day! As an extra bonus, at no extra charge, Sarah lit tiny tea light candles and placed them all across the steps of the Walters Commons space to create a gorgeous romantic feel. At one point, Sarah even brought me a fresh meal because she was afraid mine had gotten cold while talking with guests between bites! She also packaged up extra food for my husband and I to enjoy back at the hotel. Sarah and her team even provided cake baggies and wrapped up extra cake for guests to take home as a late night snack. At the end of the night, Sarah and her team helped my family load the gifts and flowers into the cars. We, along with our families, feel so fortunate that we had the opportunity to work with Mass Appeal. Guests continue to tell us how wonderful of a time they had at our wedding, how delicious the food was, and how attentive the staff members were! I highly recommend Sarah and the Mass Appeal team. Thank you for making our special day absolutely perfect!!

I absolutely loved Mass Appeal! We decided to go with the stations and we received compliments on the food from almost everyone. The pasta station was so cool because you got to pick the pasta, sauce and meats you wanted and then they cooked it right in front of you. Sarah was an absolute joy to work with and I couldn't have asked for a better cater who was so responsive and helped to take the stress away from me. Also as an added bonus at no extra charge, was the fact that I was able to use their center pieces (tealight candles, round table mirrors, and little crystal jewels) which helped to save me money. I thought the night went absolutely smooth and Sarah even packed us a "to-go" bag for us to eat after the wedding which totally saved us (no matter how many people tell you to make sure you eat at the wedding, there is always someone constantly talking to you and you really have no time to eat). I would recommend Mass Appeal to anyone!

Ok. I have mixed feelings about this vendor. Our wedding day went very well. The reception was exactly what we wanted and we didn't have any problems that day. We did, however, have problems before the wedding day.

My father and stepmother (who paid for an incredibly high percentage of the wedding) live out of state. We wanted to have a tasting with them so that they could taste the food we were planning on having at the reception. I discussed this with the catering manager and we planned a date for it. After setting the date for the private tasting, my parents scheduled plane tickets and re-worked work schedules so that they would be in town for said tasting. We also planned a few other appointments with vendors around the same time so that we could make good use of our time.

Leading up to the tasting, I discussed with the catering manager what the menu for the tasting would be. When we initially talked about the tasting, she gave us no limits on what we could try. There was no specific number given to us. We were told to let them know what we wanted to taste and they would make it happen. I sent her the list of items we wanted to try at the tasting and was quickly told that the list I gave her was far too much for a private tasting. We ended up paring the menu down to about half of what we originally wanted to try.

I am not an unreasonable person. If I had been given a guideline on the amount of food they would like us to try at the tasting, I would have worked within that guideline. Instead, a menu was presented and shot down (with a bit of snootiness and attitude, I might add).

Well, this is all kind of a moot point, as the tasting never happened. We (me, my then fiancee, and my parents who had flown in for this specific meeting) went to the catering hall and were prompt, early even! And were greeted by an empty building. The catering manager never put our tasting on the company's calendar and hadn't bothered to inform the staff that there was a tasting scheduled for that day. They tried really hard to make up for it... the owner of the company came to the venue and gave us a tour and tried to soothe my father's rising temper. We were all very close to going to our next pick venue and writing a check. They did give us a few things for free: They offered us a couple gratis appetizers at the reception and allowed us to use the upgraded dance floor free of charge. But nothing really took away the bad taste I had in my mouth for them...

I am sure this is not what happened, but this is how I felt: With all the issues we had while discussing the menu for the tasting and all the back and forth conversations which included attitude, I really felt like the catering manager just didn't want the tasting to happen. It was one of those things that when we showed up and no one was there I said to myself "Of COURSE there's no one here. That's just effing perfect!"

So yeah... the wedding day was beautiful and they made for us what we wanted...but it was not without huge hurtles along the way and lots of pushing.

My fiance (now husband) and I chose Mass Appeal because of the value of and quality of the food, presentation, and event rentals that were included in the price. I was by no means disappointed. Sarah worked hard up to the last minute to accommodate a larger guest list than what was originally anticipated. She came through as if things had long since been planned for. My guests were so impressed with how elegantly the venue was decorated and with how tasty the food was. We looked at a lot of catering companies before we made our decision. Save yourself the time and worry, choose Mass Appeal.

Sarah was more like a wedding planner than a caterer for a DIY bride with no clue, like me. She made sure all the t's were crossed and the i's dotted. She had so many decoration options that were, if any additional cost, minimal (and I mean minimal). We had a gigantic cookie table and her servers placed all of the cookies on the trays they provided. Anything needed was done immediately and with such professionalism. The servers were amazing, the food was DELICIOUS (the braised short ribs are soooo good!), Sarah was very prompt on her responses...she really made my wedding a breeze and allowed me to enjoy the best day of my life. I really hope to enjoy another event with Mass Appeal's catering.

Sarah and the rest of her staff were nothing but professional. Leading up to the big day she was very helpful with any questions I had. The night of the reception everyone was very attentive and respectful. They made it very easy for me as the mother of the bride to just sit back and enjoy the evening. No matter what I asked for they were more than willing to provide, and even some things I didn't ask for. Also, the food was out of this world with many items to choose from. I would recommend anyone looking for a reception sight to strongly consider using the Jessing Center and Mass Appeal.

We had a great experience working with Sarah and her staff! Everyone was professional and yet flexible. We were so pleased with the final results and all our guests had a great time.

Sarah at Mass Appeal was my wedding planning guardian angel. She was super friendly, made us feel like our day was truly special, she was very responsive (within a day or two), even months before our wedding and even during busy/peak wedding season for her. She has a great personality, tons of creativity and is willing to work with you on whatever you want to do with your wedding! Don't forget to ask her about her wonderful stash of decorating supplies (most free for you to borrow!) and she even met with me in the middle of winter to brain-storm linen and centerpiece ideas. She let us attend 3 tastings so we could try several different things from their menu and they were all fantastic. Her and her staff came the week of and the day before the wedding to help with set-up and arrangements, and had such good relationships with the other vendors already, everything went so smoothly, I didn't hear a peep or have any issues the day of my wedding. They were even willing to prepare a favorite personal recipe (gluten-free quinoa stuffed peppers), for myself and other friends/family who had gluten issues and were so helpful in planning food and bar order quantities for a couple on a budget. I can not say enough wonderful things about Sarah and Mass Appeal. Definitely the best bang for your buck. Our wedding guests are still raving about how great the food was, and my wedding wouldn't have been the same without them!

I feel so lucky that I found Mass Appeal and that this fabulous business catered our wedding! The food was absolutely delicious - I have had many many wedding guests tell me how delicious and wonderful everything was - not an easy feet of 110 guests who are the type used to sophisticated cuisine! One guest shared that she goes to many large catered events, and has never had such a delicious meal! I'm beyond thrilled with Sarah Selhorst and her group...they were extremely professional, very kind, very hospitable and very helpful from start to finish. The restaurant quality service by waiters and bartenders was fabulous... dinner ran on time... everything was perfect! Preparing for the wedding reception, Sarah worked with me on the creative display of the horsd'oeuvres that I wanted to incorporate into my " farmers market" theme/ decor and it was beautiful. Sarah also spent time researching specific items for me that I wanted to be included in my table displays. She also accomodated all my requests, including day of requests for bride's specialty cocktails (I was emailing her on the day of the wedding recipes for pumpkin martini and pear martini, which I should have done way in advance.. but she came through!) We met with Sarah and her chef months in advance to taste some entree choices, and we tweaked some recipes to suit our tastes, which was great, and the dinner was wonderful. I ended up with a four course sit down delicious dinner, at what I believe to be an amazing value for the price! Sarah worked really well with and communicated directly with my other vendors, which I really appreciated! Lastly, Sarah's group had other weddings to cater that day, and you would have never known it... I felt as if my wedding was very well staffed, and ran so smoothly!
I highly recommend this catering company!!! I'm thrilled that so many of my wedding guests are still talking about our wonderful our wedding and wedding reception was! Without good food and a great bar, that wouldn't be!

Our daughter had her wedding reception at the Jessing Center with Mass Appeal as the on-site caterer on 9/10/11. I have read many of the comments from previous ratings and so many mirror the same comments and excellent service as we had working with Sarah Selhorst and her staff. From the very beginning last September, Sarah guided us through the process of planning a wedding. Throughout the year of planning she was always there for our every question and need, calming our fears or concerns and assuring us when we were stressed that all will work out beautifully. And, indeed, it all did seemlessly. The day of the wedding, all was handled by Sarah from checking on deliveries like wedding cake and flowers and DJ set-up to setting up and completely decorating all the tables, as well as, setting up cookies, pastries on the dessert table. I can't tell you, as Mother of the Bride, how wonderful it was to walk into the reception after the ceremony and marvel at how beautiful everything looked and see the guests in full swing celebration while waiting for the Bride and Groom to arrive. Everything went so smoothly, the food was very good, the wait staff so attentive--all we had to do was enjoy the moment. Sarah was a joy to work with. We feel like we have made new friends. Thanks you, Sarah and Bob, for everything and making this joyous occasion so incredibly fantastic!

We had our wedding reception at the Jessing Center at the Josephinum and it was absolutely perfect! Sarah was fantastic- she is truly a professional and we could not have been more pleased with her work. I had a vision for how I wanted the reception room to look, and she went out of her way to help me create the centerpieces one day and gave me all sorts of ideas on how to put the room together. She was so helpful and accommodating, I would recommend her to anyone! Our guests were raving about the food, which we thought was just delicious. I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone!

We fell in love with this place the moment we set our eyes on it. Sarah was great. She always got back to us right away and was able to answer any questions that we had. It was a excellent experience. The food was great and they did all the decorating just as we wanted. Everyone would no stop talking about how beautiful or wedding venue was. We worked with Mass Appeal for our wedding reception at the Jessing Center. It was fantastic! Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was amazing! It might seem a little expensive (as compared to places where you can bring in your own catered food from anywhere) but truly it was worth every penny. The food was perfect and the guests loved it! It was fancy enough but not so fancy that no one knew what they were eating. Sarah (and now Ashley too!) is great! I'm the type of person who stresses out a lot and I like to know what's going on and know that the people i'm working with are as concerned by my event as I am. I felt like sometimes I had to do the contacting as opposed to being contacted which could be my own inexperience at the timeline for certain things. BUT she is a busy lady with a lot on her plate and for everything she does I think she does a marvelous job juggling it all. All in all it was a beautiful day and a fantastic reception. Sarah and Ashley even put my centerpieces together! And ... they turned out even better than I could have imagined. At the end of the reception my husband and I were both so impressed at how great everything had been. We wouldn't change a thing!

Sarah was fantastic through the entire planning period and the event! The only difficulty was getting in contact with her and she missed one appointment with us before the event. Overall, she provided a great service and the reception and food turned out amazing! I would definitely recommend this vendor.

We had an excellent experience with Mass Appeal. Everyone at the reception raved about the food--especially the pasta bar. Sarah was very accommodating in the planning and helped a great deal with center pieces--providing almost all the supplies and gave great recommendations for the things that we had to buy.

We did stations and loved it.

At the reception there was a special waiter who took care of our needs and that of the head table. My husband requested a special adaptation to the meal and she made it for him.

This is the 2nd time I got to meet Sarah and her team! My older sister got married in 2010 and had them service the reception at the Jessing Center. Because of her great experience, I too had Sarah and Mass Appeal service my reception. Sarah is very flexible and will meet whenever is a good time for you. She and the team are very professional and will respond to your needs. I was late in deciding table assignments and centerpieces. The day of the reception I brought more stuff for the tables as well as the seating assignment list. Sarah and the servers were very laid back. They took everything and said, "Don't worry about it, we'll take care of it." Sarah and her team are very patient. My dear mother gets so worked up about details and Sarah handled her in strides ! Everyone who attended our reception could not stop talking about what a great time they had ! I definitely recommend Sarah and Mass Appeal for an awesome wedding celebration

The individuals at Mass Appeal were involved throughout the entire wedding planning process, and really understood what I wanted to venue to look like. They were able to take those planning conversations to setup and the actual reception so that my bridesmaids, my parents and myself had very little to do or worry about on the acutal wedding day. Be sure to take advantage of the buffet-style tastings, because you can really get an idea of what their food is like. Through those tastings we were able to come up with a menu that everyone could enjoy, and I continue to get compliments on the food to this day. The hall was beautiful and all of the individuals (from the coordinators, to the wait staff, to the cooks) were great to work with and made for such a memorable day for my husband and I.

Sarah is OUTSTANDING!!! She is so much more than a caterer...she's a wedding planner! She has fabulous ideas and will work hard to help create your vision. She is the best person I encountered in the "wedding world". We chose her company because of her! We also received tons of compliments after the wedding about how great the food was, how flawless the service was, and professional Sarah was. WE LOVE HER!!

Whenever there was something I wasn't confident about Sarah had the answers and she had them quickly! I never waited for a response or solution. Sarah and her staff were wonderful to work with! They helped make our event beautiful and flawless! After countless trips to different venues, we finally found Mass Appeal through The Jessing Center. The venue was beautiful, the grounds were beautiful, the food sounded great, and the price was perfect. Sarah and I worked closely together to plan the wedding of mine and my husband's dreams. Sarah quickly responded to emails, she'd meet with me countless times, she'd return my phone calls, and she even offered to help and gave advice during my times of crisis. Sarah is detailed oriented, and organized - like me. She sees the small things and works hard to make an event look flawless. She was generous, helpful, and attentive.

The day of our wedding came faster than I was ready for. The staff, the food, the venue were incredible. Honestly - people are STILL talking about our food. We had comments that said, "We've never had wedding food like this before." I was truly happy and satisfied with the menu that we picked.
The servers that we had for our reception were extremely impressive. They were professional, and attentive to each guest. I was very picky and adamant that I wanted all candles to be lit during the entire reception - and I witnessed each server at different times remove the old candles, go into the kitchen, get new ones, and come out with newly lit candles - THESE are the details that I find invaluable.
At the end of the night, my husband and I hadn't eaten any of our food - but the servers wrapped our food for us so we could enjoy it at a later date.

Words can't express enough how happy I am with Sarah and the staff of Mass Appeal. If I were to do this all over again, I would absolutely use them again. Their service, expertise, and dedication were invaluable and truly made our wedding everything that we could have ever wanted.

The Jessing had plenty of parking for guests, was close to hotels for guest accommodations, and was easy to locate. The building itself is beautiful inside and out. It is easily accessible to handicapped guests, there are no stairs to climb and cars can be pulled right up to the door. Our photographer loved the grounds; there are so many places to take photographs! The Jessing and Mass Appeal allowed us to have the wedding reception that we wanted without breaking our budget. Sarah and her team went above and beyond making the day better then I could have dreamed it would be.

We were married May 7th 2011 & our reception took place at St Charles Prep. School. During our time of planning we met with Sarah from Mass Appeal. From our time of meeting, Sarah heard every idea and request we put forward. Having met with other catering companies prior, we anticipated the usual list of 'can't do's' & many added expenses for any compromise, changes or adaptions made to their policy or menu. However, we were pleasantly surprised by Sarah's enthusiasm & positive feedback to all our ideas and changes. There was nothing she was not willing to do for us to make sure we got to experience our special day just as we imagined it, and not only did she make it happen, she went above and beyond our expectations. Her organization, eye for detail, problem solving, making sure that not only her staff but all our vendors were on time & setting things up as expected...our wedding was flawless. Sarah went out of her way to find/rent & return things we had not thought of or had forgotten about. She managed to quietly tackle any pop-up issues, taking on added 'wedding pressures' to lessen our load. She kept in contact with our vendors & returned any items personally that were initially our responsibility & left behind or forgotten by us. Her efforts before, during and after our wedding have been admirable & we are enormously grateful & appreciative. The entire staff at Mass Appeal were phenominal. The food was sensational, service was quick & the staff at all times were highly professional. courteous & friendly. Sarah and her staff at Mass Appeal were wonderful to work with. They were always available to discuss or meet with us regarding the reception details. Access to The Jessing days before the wedding reception for set up and delivery was a tremendous help which allowed us to concentrate on other wedding details the day before.

Our guests commented on the quality of the food served and the servers were very timely. Not once did I have to worry about the flow of the events as I knew the staff had everything under control.

The food was excellent, the venue was kind of small for the amount of people we had, but everyone had a great time. With 200 plus people everyone ate in a timely manner and they were very professional. Thanks.

I would highly recommend the Jessing Center and Mass Appeal Dining in a heart beat. We worked with both women who are in charge of the catering and running the reception. Both of them were very flexible, quick to respond and professional.

One of my favorite parts was the ability to order flowers whole sale from their florist and cut the flowers for our centerpieces on Friday. They allowed us into the reception hall as early as Wednesday to start setting up so that by Friday we didn't have too much left to do! We were done decorating by 10:30am on Friday, which helped a lot.

The reception as a whole went very well and was beautiful. You are able to order chair covers, table runners and colored napkins if you want. We went without chair covers and it still looked great! However, we used the table runners, and it added a lot of color and elegance for a small cost!! Another thing that we loved was that we were able to use their vases, gems, garland and votives for centerpieces. Sarah was very helpful with this and it saved us a lot of money too!

The only issue we had was when we were deciding between having only appetizers verses a buffet dinner. We were on a tight budget and were going to originally go with appetizers only. However the amount of appetizers that they told us that would be okay, was not enough and would have been much more expensive than having a sit down dinner. So make sure to look into that well!

Overall, this was a great facility and we really loved having our reception there!!

Mass Appeal dining, and Sarah Selhorst inparticular, made my whole wedding experience amazing! We pretty much handed over creative control to Sarah with food and table decorations and I couldn't be happier with the results. People raved about the food and the decor looked like something out of a magazine. All in all Sarah helped to reduce our stress level and make our reception something we will remember forever! Greatly recommended!!!!!!

My whole experience working with mass appeal was exceptional! The venue, the food, and the staff were absolutely perfect! Most of my interactions were with Sara Selhorst and I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful she is as a person and as an event coordinator. Everything was so smooth and elegant. If there was something that I needed or wanted even the day of the wedding she was so flexible and made it happen! Future brides out there...you will have plenty of stress with all of your vendors so I would definately recommend Mass Appeal and Sara so that you can know that the day of your wedding your actual reception will be flawless and elegant!!!!

Sarah was a pleasure to work with in planning my cocktail reception. She was happy to go off the regular menu to come up with creative dishes for me event, while keeping the cost affordable. Working with Mass Appeal Dining was great because everything was included in the price - linens, china, glassware, and service, including bar. Sarah also provided extra trays/bowls for cupcakes and snack mix. She worked with me on the setup of the venue and had everything ready and was also there for the whole event to ensure everything was running smoothly. The servers and bartender were professional and friendly as well. Guests are still raving about the food- especially the mashed potato bar. I would HIGHLY recommend Mass Appeal Dining.

I held my wedding at the Jessing Center, under the coordination of Sarah Selhorst. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue was for me and my now husband!! The food was amazing, the decorations were breathtaking, and the service was perfect!! Sarah was so assuring, reliable, and extremely personable! She was very accommodating to our wants and desires!! We didn't have to do any of the decorations...she decorated the venue for us!! We received many positive comments from our guests regarding the food!! It was a very positive experience!!

Food was great; they were very helpful in making sure the facility was ready for the reception, going above and beyond. Only issue was it was sometimes difficult to get a hold of someone at Massapeal, although they always got back with me before it created any issue.

If we were todo it over again...I wouldn't change a thing! From the people we worked with to the fabulous food, EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT! Everyone raved about the food! It ALL was DELICIOUS!! The servers were top notch, efficient, hard working & friendly! From start,.. to meeting with Sarah who organized the whole wedding event, who kept in contact with me & had answers to any of my questions immediately ..to finish, with Stephanie who took over the actual wedding..I can honestly say, We couldn't have asked for anything better! Would DEFINITELY recommend! :)

Sarah was my wedding miracle. Not only was she my caterer...but she had all the connections to help me find the venue, the baker, the florist, the DJ, etc. She recommended the entire wedding team, and they had all worked together before so everything fell into place perfectly. All I had to do was show up and make a few decisions about colors. I would recommend Sarah and Mass Appeal to any soon-to-be bride looking for a stress free and georgeous wedding. Sarah will take care of it all, I promise you that. I am thrilled with how my wedding & reception turned out, and I could not have done any of it without Sarah. Thanks from the bottom of my heart! The venue was terrific. Pretty good value for the money. It was nice that they offered some decorations included with the hall rental. Mass appeal was very flexible with what we wanted to do. We brought in our own desserts and not all places will allow that. They also allowed me to get in early to decorate. We were also able to bring in our own alcohol which was a huge money saver. Another great addition is that Mass Appeal provided a wedding planner on sight. We had Sarah and it was so nice to have her. We did not have to worry about where we needed to be all night. Sarah took care of it. The reception hall lost AC the day before our reception in the middle of July. A technician was brought out right away to fix it. As for food, we had the Steak Diane which was very good. However, we picked it because most of the other food we tried was good but just average. I am a real foodie and kind of picky. If had to do it over again, we would probably pick the Jessing Center again for our wedding reception.

Mass Appeal catered my daughter's wedding and we were delighted in every way. The food was delicious; a number of people commented on the quality of the various dishes. The servers were attentive, unobtrusive, accomodating and friendly. I run meetings as part of my job and typically have to deal with details that weren't adequately addressed by the meeting location; I expected to have to do the same during the reception. However, I was able to totally relax and enjoy every aspect of the reception because of the quality of the service from Mass Appeal. I would recommend them enthusiastically to others!

I did a lot of research before meeting with potential catering companies. I focused my search on companies with affordable prices and great food reviews. From my first meeting with Mass Appeal, I felt confident that our wedding reception would be in good hands. We booked as quickly as we could and Mass Appeal worked with us to find a date/venue that would best suite our needs. Sarah, the event coordinator was always available to meet prior to the event and had great ideas. She made us feel at ease during the week of the wedding and with everything else going on that week it was so nice to know that she had everything taken care of. The event turned out more beautiful then we could have ever imagined and couldn't have done it without their help. The food was delicious, the staff was professional, and we received nothing but compliments from our guests. Best of all, there were no hidden fees and our event was very affordable and well within our budget. We LOVED our service and meals at the Jessing Center. Mass Appeal did an amazing job with the food, arranging the room, and decorating the tables. We were so thrilled with how everything looked and tasted, and we got several compliments from guests! We looked at a variety of venues/caterers, and Mass Appeal was the best value for our 120 guests.

Mass Appeal did a wonderful job catering my daughter's wedding at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was superb. I was very pleased with all the time and effort Sarah put into this wedding to make it a successful evening.
The atmosphere of the way the room was set-up with the linens, chair covers, candles,and centerpieces made it look so elegant with the help of Mass Appeal. Their were many guests at the wedding that commented on how nice this wedding was with the service and food, that it was the nicest wedding they had ever been to.

My experience with Mass Appeal was amazing. I had no idea my wedding reception could possibly have looked THAT beautiful. I'll never forget seeing my (new) husband's jaw literally drop when he saw the way Sarah set up our reception. Mass Appeal is the best vendor you can go to.

It's cheesy to write such a glowing review. But dealing with Mass Appeal was amazing. Sarah is so empathetic--and so good at her job. When I was stressed about the wedding, she helped me realize that everything was going to be okay. I can't tell you how many times my mom said "Thank God for Sarah..." The food at the reception was excellent, and Mass Appeal goes above and beyond the call of duty.

The Jessing Center is like a hidden secret. I would have never imagined that we could and would have our reception there. The food was hot, fresh and I had numerous people tell me not only was it the best food they have had at any wedding but the food was better than most restaurants. Sarah could be the easiest most accomadating person I have ever worked with. Absolutley anything we wanted to do she found a way to make it happen. The whole night was absolutley wonderful. If every persons wedding turns out the way ours did the Jessing center is going to be booked every weekend of the year. This is the god honest truth all you need to do is just stop in and talk with Sarah and you will soon reliaze how easy it is to plan your reception. The staff is very attentive and carries themself very well. Every one of my guests was thrilled with the service they received not only at the bar from the bartenders but also at the table from the servers. All in all the Jessing center staff and employees made our night amazing from start to finish.

Sarah with Mass Appeal was very accomodating and helpful. She was very creative and fun while planning the wedding. The food was delicious! The servers were all very polite and helpful.

Without a doubt I give Mass Apeal all fives. They made everything so easy for us. I am usually not the type of person to give all high scores, but they were outstanding. The hall was beautiful. Sarah and the staff were very professional and helpful. We were able to get in almost whenever we wanted. And, they helped out so much and made the day of and the days leading up as stress-free as possible. The food was excellant and the tasting were so helpful leading up. I would and have already recommended the Jessing Center to others.

We could not have been more happy with our food, the chef did an excellent job. The food was delicious and hot, lots of positive comments from the guests. Some of my other vendors found Sarah difficult to work with. I did not feel very confident in Sarah's attention to the details that I wanted, but in the end the service she provided was excellent, the food and the reception were outstanding. All of the table linens were exactly what we wanted, she made the venue look wonderful.

Sarah, Jenny, Chef Nick, and Bartender John were fantastic. Sarah was very helpful throughout the planning process. The chef is very flexible as for the menu. Food was tasty and the venue was gorgeous. Best of all, we brought our own alchohol - which saved us $$.

We had our wedding reception at the Jessing Center at the Josephinum and catered by Mass Appeal. We had attended a wedding catered by them before and so knew the food was very good, but we still attended one of their tasting events to help us determine what we would like to serve at our dinner. I hope you get to attend one of these (they are quarterly) because not only is there a generous amount of food to sample, but you can see their servers and their set-up in action - and it is all very classy and professional. My biggest tesitmony to Sarah and her team is that for our reception I dropped of hundreds of cookies - my husband is Italian and this is a wedding tradition to have cookies all over the place for people to munch on throughout the evening. We completely entrusted the caterer with the set up of this, and I was completely thrilled when I walked in to the reception hall for the first time that day - they did a wonderful job displaying the cookies and on various tables, but also the centerpieces and our favors and the hall overall just looked gorgeous. I simply cannot say enough good things! Sarah was super easy to work with, and I had absolutely no worries that day about anything at the reception because I knew she had it all under control - but I was still blown away by how above and beyond my expectations she went. I also must add, that while we were set on having our wedding at the Josephinum from the beginning, which requires using Mass Appeal as the caterer, I did do some price comparison, and I'm convinced Mass Appeal is one of the best priced in terms of quantity and quality. They are one of the few companies that allows you to bring in your own alcohol, which saved us thousands of dollars.

Used for reception . They did the room just as we wanted it ! Food was great. Bartender was GREAT!!They were great! The only problem is that one of the waitress threw out the left over cake after I ask them not to.

Food is above average, you provide your own bar, and they were very flexible about working out specific details and working with other vendors!

A must for brides to use as a resource!

I have had the pleasure of shooting a few weddings where Mass Appeal have hosted the reception and they always stand out head and shoulders. They do an incredible job. You can tell when you walk in on the planning shoot that the reception is going to be good. They are very refined, have intricate attention to detail, all the staff are top class. I don't write many reviews but would not hesitate in using this company.
