The Kende Trio
"We were absolutely thrilled to have The KendeTrio play at our daughter’s wedding at the Plaza last month. The music was just superb and I can't wait for the video to listen as well. Everything was perfect, the music, the transition from the Terrace ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception in the grand ballroom were magical. I never noticed anything!! Also, the musicians are all so lovely!!!! I am so grateful our paths have crossed and I hope we are fortunate enough to have another occasion to celebrate and have the privilege of having the Kende Trio perform."
The Kende Trio provided beautiful music for my Catholic wedding ceremony. They helped me select appropriate music that I really made my wedding elegant. I felt like a princess walking down the aisle. The musicians were all classically trained at Julliard, and play difficult pieces of music with such ease. Many of my guests commented at the quality of the ceremony music. I would recommend them to anyone.
Since 1997, The Kende Trio has added elegance and grace to hundreds of weddings providing music for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and offering the broadest range of music from classical to contemporary to traditional ceremony music. Brides communicate directly with the musicians to customize all musical selections and determine the ideal sized group from solo performer to larger ensembles. The Kende Trio has performed at major tri-state area venues including NY City's Plaza and Pierre Hotels,The Metropolitan Club, The Union League Club, Tavern on the Green, Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, The Osborne Castle at Cat Rock, Mohonk, Oheka Castle, Swan Club, Fox Hollow Inn, Old Westbury Gardens, Planting Fields, Bailey Arboretum, a variety of locations in the Hamptons, and Prospect House, Mountain Lakes House and Nassau Inn in Princeton, NJ.
The Kende Trio is comprised of three sisters, Alexis, violin; Crista, viola/piano; and Daniela, cello, who all received their musical training at the Juilliard School and graduated from Princeton University. They have been featured on WQXR Radio, WABC-TV News, NBC-TV “Today Show” and in the NY Times, where the article “Siblings on Strings” marked the 10th anniversary of the ensemble, which also includes younger brother, Stefan, a double bassist. The sisters have an active professional performance schedule, appearing at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Bargemusic, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and at festivals in the U.S. and abroad. Alexis and Crista maintain private teaching studios in Manhattan and perform regularly at benefits. The trio’s greatest honor remains playing for Pope John Paul II at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
