Jeannie and Jim's location, the Lalumondiere, is breathtaking!!! When we fell upon this gem we knew it was the perfect spot for our "I-do's". We fell in love...even after viewing it in the snow :) The scenery was gorgeous; full bloom flowers, natural river running right below the balcony, rustic and eclectic photo spots throughout the property...it's just magical! All of our guests were amazed at how unique, laid back and beautiful everything was. Jeannie and Jim were fantastic to work with. Being that we were planning this wedding from a different state; they were both accomidating and patient working with us to make this day possible. We would HIGHLY recommend Lalumondiere to anyone looking for a little magic in their day!

The wedding and reception was amazing!!! They are very nice and creative and helped with decorations and bits and pieces of the night!!

This is a wedding venue to remember. Jim and Jeannie have created such a one-of-a-kind, whimsical place at The Lalumondiere that my guests fell in love with it, as we did. From the unique treasures Jim has found to decorate the property with, to the beautiful motif Jeannie has used to decorate it, you really feel like you're somewhere else besides Missouri. The river as the back drop lends tranquility to the wedding ceremony & reception and is a beautiful back drop for pictures. Our wedding on 4/30/11 was amazing and we know The Lalumondiere played a huge part in that.

Jeannie and Jim and their lovely Lalumondiere were positively, incredibly wonderful!

They have created a beautiful and enchanting venue, and it was PERFECT for our homespun, DIY, Autumn wedding. Jeannie and Jim are extremely helpful and flexible, and having been with the Lalumondiere from it's start, they know just how to make her sing. Furthermore, the venue has so many great features, it's impossible not to fall in love with it.

Our guests can't stop talking about how amazing our wedding was--they were all in awe of the location, and kept asking how on earth we found this hidden treasure, with such beautiful landscaping, rustic but comfortable styling, and natural features, like the lovely river itself!

The Lalumondiere certainly holds a very special place in our hearts.

We were so thrilled that we chose the Lalumondiere for our reception. We wanted a special occasion that was unique and memorable. I could not have asked for a more beautiful setting, top-notch owners who more than accommodated our needs, and the most peaceful memories to last a lifetime. Our reception location was the most talked-about part of our whole day (at least for those who attended)! Their website even suggests other vendors to help on your special event. I used the business they suggested for renting tables & they were helpful, friendly, & timely too. I would highly recommend the Lalumondiere Mill & Rivergardens for any special occasion - you have to see it to believe it!

The Lalumondiere Mill & Rivergardens is exactly what Missouri brides needed....... something different and better! No where else can you get such hospitality, ambiance, and culture!

You simply will not find a more beautiful, magical, unique location for your wedding in the St Louis area.

Although it is tucked away by the river, it is easy to find travel to. No ambiguous dirt roads without signage to worry about!

The only reason I gave a 4/5 on flexibility is, because it is such a unique location, they simply cannot accommodate weddings of more than about 125 comfortably. Similarly, setup for catering and dining tables can really only be done well in a few different ways.

However, the Lalumondieres are absolutely wonderful and are more than happy to listen to your requests and help you plan a truly perfect event.

Another awesome perk: once you see the grounds you will be dying to have your wedding photography done there-- Which means no hassle of transporting the wedding party to a third location where you may not be able to control what's going on around you (I'm talking to you, MASSIVE family reunion at the public park!), or paying exorbitant fees for pretty backgrounds (cheers botanical gardens!). From the old bridge to the giant birdcage to the hobbit hole (yep, you read that right), you will be in photography heaven.

A beautiful location with many dream-like qualities, such as cabanas with cushions and flowing curtains on the patio. It is a perfect place on the river and is very relaxing. No pictures can do it justice. I really enjoyed my visit there and would recommend it to anyone!

I would like to highly recommend the Lalumondiere to St. Louis area couples looking for a unique outdoor venue for their wedding. Jeannie and Jim have developed something really special and it was a highlight of my year to photograph a wedding at their space.

This unique location was formally a grist mill and is along the Big River in Byrnesville, MO (near House Springs). The owners, Jeannie and Jim Lalumondiere, have created an inspiring location for those who want a ceremony and reception location in the same place. There are many little details that go unnoticed in photographs. You have to go and see this place yourself to see how spectacular it is.
