Reviews for The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers

I cant say enough about how wonderful the lighthouse was during the entire wedding planning and day. The venue is fantastic and unique, the food was phenomenal, and I have a bachelor's degree in culinary arts and have worked as a chef for years in my past. The food was the quality of some of the finest 5 star restaurants i have been to in my life... but for a wedding!!??? Thats unheard of in the catering world!!! The menu selection was amazing, it was very hard to choose our menu because there were so many things I wanted to try!! I made sure I had tasted everything throughout the day. Make sure you do that! Our sales manager Greg was very personable and a great contact. Our banquet manager Richard was ok, he seemed a little stiff but everything went just as planned and he was always reliable and available through the phone and email. The service staff was excellent though, my only complaint is that I had no bridal attendant present. I don't know who she was or If she even was there. The only time this was an issue is when my mother and sister couldn't figure out how to bustle my dress and it was a 20 minute ordeal. Bridal attendants are usually quite good at this from what I hear. Overall the place was OUTSTANDING. I don't think many wedding venues are quite like Pier 60 and the Lighthouse. Me AND every one of my guests continue to talk about how wonderful an event it was and will recommend it highly. Just be prepared to pay for it. There aren't many deals or really anything cheap about this place but, the memories are worth it.

This place was amazing! Its location is so unique and the views of the hudson river are beautiful. At first I was skeptical, with the huge space looking so bare, but after seeing the space all dressed up for a wedding event I was convinced.
Reece, was a pleasure to work with. She handled everything so professionally, always putting me at ease when questions came up. I was disappointed that they don't offer tastings but with the reputation of Abigail Kirsch, you have very little to worry about. The food was amazing! I still dream about the filet mignon I ate that day (cooked perfectly); you could cut it with a butter knife.
Friends and family were raving to the end about how wonderful it all was.

We went with The Lighthouse because we really felt that they had everything under control and that we would not have to be involved in every detail… on the day of we wanted to feel like guests at our wedding.
About 2 months prior to our wedding we were assigned Randall as our event manager. He handled choosing the menu and and all the other details that needed to be taken care of like dropping things off a few days prior and making sure he coordinated with Elaine on timing for the day. He was really great to work with. My only complaint was that he was hard to get in touch with prior to the day of. My other complaint with The Lighthouse was when we booked the place they told us transportation at the end of the night would not be a problem for our guests and that they would arrange to have a bunch of cars waiting. Turned out they were not prepared for the number that needed transport and there were people walking out into the streets to hail cabs. I was disappointed by this as if I had know I would have arranged for a bunch of town cars or something. Other than those 2 small things, The Lighthouse were an absolute pleasure to work with…
The Abigail Kirsch food was amazing and I am still hearing about how good it was from the guests. The waitstaff provided excellent service to all the guests and treated us like the king and queen – constantly available to get us anything we wanted. We had our ceremony on an angle looking into the corner of the glass room (the way most people do it) so there was some breakdown necessary after the ceremony and setup of the lowest level needed prior to the reception. This all happened seamlessly and I didn’t even know it was occurring. Before the reception started, we were brought in to see the room before the maddness started which was really nice. We got to have a quiet moment to take it all in and see everything before everyone was in there.
Overall, I was extremely happy with The Lighthouse and would definitely recommend it.

I have only raves about this venue! Jeff Stillwell, our banquet manager, supervises all the other managers so he only does one or two a month. From the second we spoke on the phone, I knew this was going to be a great reception. He was very flexible with us and provided us with great options as well as alternatives on how to make things work. From the very last second, they adjust to make every accommodation and it was completely stress free. He truly was an anchor for me during my last weeks prior to the wedding and that can be so calming when so many other things are going on. The reception was everything I could imagine. The food, service and setup were perfect. The guests cannot stop raving about the food and there was so much of it. As one of my friends stated – you would have to be in Egypt to not have a tray pass before you. And the presentations are elegant and beautiful. Every bite was heaven. I had the opportunity to eat what I could and the only thing disappointing was that I could not get enough! There is not one negative comment I can say about it. And the uniqueness of the space is amazing. Truly a wonderful venue!!!!!
Very chic location, wonderful and very professional staff, and incredible and gorgeous food. We love photographing weddings at The Lighthouse.
We worked a wedding at the Lighthouse and the food was incredible. The service was top notch and they provided my client with a seamless and wonderful wedding. Also, as a wedding planner they were very cooperative with myself and it was a pleasure working with the staff. I highly recommend this venue as a place for your wedding.
