Reviews for The Zahn Event Center at The Manor

Heather @ The Manor and her crew have always been very accommodating to me and to the couples whom I've married there. The food is wonderful, too! (On a sidenote, one of the chefs there was a former couple of mine...I had the opportunity to marry him and his wife in a ceremony back in 2008.)
I was able to participate in an open house that The Manor hosted earlier this year. There were many wedding vendors who has been hand selected to attend and set up booths to promote their services to couples and companies looking to hold an event. It was great to "see" what an event could look like!
The Manor is very roomy, provides different themes inside and outside, for clients to choose from. The gardens onsite are wonderful and nicely kept. I look forward to visiting The Manor again for a wedding that I will be presiding over at the end of May.

Wonderful service! We had a few little glitches, but overall they really made sure we were taken care of and all our needs were met. Every guest complimented us on the food quality and amount! Perfect spot!

A beautiful setting with wonderful staff that bent over backwards to make our wedding spectacular. There were so many great suggestions, novel ideas and up-to-date information that our ceremony and reception turned into a wedding to be remembered. Our guests were impressed and we could not have been happier. Thank you MANOR!!!

Ten stars for flexibility! With a deployed groom, we had no firm date till one week before the wedding, and The Manor worked with us to plan for several possibilities. The manager was always available to answer questions and make suggestions. When our groom arrived home on leave, The Manor staff set things in motion, everything fell into place, and the wedding and reception were very special. No one would have guessed that they had been planned without a date!

This is a wonderful place very big and spacious. The staff was wonderful. Very Beautiful. I would recommend this place, but it is really easy to spend alot of money there as well!

The Manor was a great place to have both our Ceremony & Reception. We had a outdoor garden ceremony, and the reception inside The Manor indoors. The staff was so helpful and always available for as many meetings, emails, and phone calls as we needed before the wedding. The pricing for the catering (which was required to use their in-house catering) was very reasonable ($30-35 per person) and the food was fantastic! (we got tons of compliments on the Food). We were also able to bring in all of our own beer, wine and alcohol with no corkage fees - we just had to hire our own bartenders! A huge plus! At the time we booked the venue - they did not do any Saturday evening weddings though, so we ended up having a Friday evening wedding (which we hadn't originally considered), it worked out great though and we were very happy how everything worked out.

If I would have worked with the same venue coordinator the whole way through, my review it probably would have been five stars all the way. She made up timelines, answered all my questions, and went above and beyond what I expected.BUT a month before the wedding I was informed she was "no longer with the company" and I would be working with two new girls. They weren't terrible, but not super willing to help either. In the crunch time before the big day, I really could have used the old coordinator, but instead I got two new girls to do one person's job. They offered no help other than letting me know how much money we owed and help figuring out what items we would be renting from them. That said, the grounds are beautiful. It's a great setup for pictures outdoors. There's no AC inside the building so it got pretty warm and a little uncomfortable. The food was delicious and we got many compliments on it. They have a lot of fees for small things that I could have done without )chair setup, glasses, etc). Overall I feel the price might have been a little high, but not unreasonable.

This looks like a very beautiful and elegant place for a wedding (both ceremony and reception) but it's not very accommodating. For instance, we wanted to have a kosher wedding, but since they don't have a special kosher kitchen they would need to close off any other events from happening on our wedding day to accommodate this... which would mean that we would have to rent not one banquet hall with them but the whole place (includes 3 halls I believe)... this was definitely outside our reasonable budget, quite unfortunate since it looked like a wonderful place.

Great feedback! We have since made numerous changes to the rental. You are welcome to have Kosher, Vegan, Vegetarian and Diet-Friendly menus created for your event. When you book your event at The Manor, you have full use of the entire venue and outdoor gardens. This is to prevent two weddings or events at the same time. We want our clients to have the privacy and seclusion they deserve for their wedding day!

This is a tricky one...The venue is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are wonderful, but this is not really a professional situation...We are ultimately glad that we chose to use this venue simply because it produced such wonderful pictures and the guests loved the atmosphere. The food was not very good (it was decent, guests didn't complain, we just weren't so keen on it), there was much confusion about prices and details...It was a bit of a nightmare, but it all worked out!

I rated this venue a two because although The Manor is a truly beautiful and romantic place to wed, unfortunetely, the venue needs to be updated (parts of it are stuck in the 70s) and the staff can be unprofessional at times. Looking back on my wedding, I am glad that we used The Manor, but if you really care about how your food tastes, The Manor might not be a good choice for you. The Manor served the wrong dinner menu at my wedding! I specifically talked to the chef and explained that I did not want orange chicken, yet that is exactly what was served to my guests. Luckily, there were not many complaints about the food, so I did not make too much of a fuss. Also, The Manor ran out of food for my guests and didn't replenish until my Wedding Coordinator stepped in and demanded they do. I had given them a correct count on people, yet they simply did not make enough food.

Thank you for the review! We have since laid bamboo flooring throughout the venue, added new furniture pieces and removed "dated" decor. We have also hired a new, fabulous chef! We offer one/two Open HouseS a year for clients to taste a variety of menu options and see the overall presentation of their catering. The client and chef are both given the same catering request and breakdown a week prior, to prevent any confusion. Once this is done, we unfortuantely cannot make any menu changes.

I decided to get married at The Manor mainly for their grounds. I wanted an outside ceremony, and as we all know that is risky in seattle. Well the day of my wedding, we had "scattered showers", however we were able to make the decision only an hour before the ceremony whether we wanted to move it inside or not. We decided to"risk it", and keep it outside. We got lucky and the rain never returned that day. Had we not been so fortunate to have mother nature be so kind to us, our wedding would have been a very different day. Having the ceremony inside would not have been as desirable and can you imagine not being able to take any photos outside in the beautiful gardens?I think the price is high for what you get. I was very dissapointed in the decor. Plastic tables and chairs with pastel floral linens isn't exactly wedding quality. In order for us to mask these items we rented their white linens, and spent hundreds of dollars. I felt there were unnecessary costs that we were unaware of, making it hard to stick to our budget. Such as, a fee to turn on the soda machine, or to turn on the ice machine, or re-stack the chairs we used during the ceremony. I also think the price should include a rehearsal because every bride wants a trial run to calm her nerves. We also had to use thier caterer, as we got married in peak season. The food choices were not appealing and were way too expensive. I was also dissapointed when I found out that I had to pay for a minimum of 120 guests even though I only had 100 guests coming to my wedding. We also had to pay a very high service charge on top of all of that. Overall we had an amazing wedding! However from one bride to another, check all of the prices before you book and ask yourself if you would still want to get married if you did have rain on your wedding day and were not able to use the gardens.

We loved the venue. It is beautiful but not only is the place overpriced you need to rent all the glasses, table clothes, chairs ect..ect. We also got the catering done there after going to the open house and tested all the food. Let me tell you the food that they cook for the open house is nothing like what they serve. We were very, very dissapointed in the food to say the least. Chicken was transparent (raw) and the potatoes were instant. So sad because the venue is wonderful. If you see it and love it... I would suggest bringing your own catering in. On a lighter note the people that work there are very nice and attentive.
Beautiful and impressive. A terrific place and your guests will love the atmosphere.
We love doing events at The Manor in Everett! The food is good, the staff is great and the venue is one-of-a-kind! It's very comfortable, has a great in-house sound system and is great for any type of event!
