The Mansion at Oak Hill
We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at Oak Hill Mansion. Their event planner Erin Bradburn was awesome! She helped us plan through every step of the way! She always responded immediatley to any of our emails. She even showed up (on her day off) before our ceremony to make sure that everything was running smoothly. We had an outdoor wedding, however, it ended up raining so we had to use our rain plan. We then had our wedding/reception under the outdoor pavilion; which turned out beautiful. My only real complaint is that the back of the tent had a large rust stain from where it had been folded during the winter. This was right behind where our ceremony took place and it ruined half of our pictures!!! I am very upset that someone from the staff did not catch this beforehand. Otherwise, the food and service were great. The prime rib and sweet potato suffle was delicious! We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that is looking for a beautiful, affordable location.

We are so grateful that our daughter and her fiancee selected the Mansion for their ceremony and reception. Everything associated with the venue was perfect. The guidance and help throughout the planning and execution made their wedding a memorable event for everyone. The personnel we interacted with were pleasant, professional and competent. Our wedding coordinator helped us with all the little things that we might of overlooked without her input. The food was excellent and even our vegan guest were pleased. The other vendors semmed to work well with the Mansion staff in such a seemless manner that did not require our interaction during the event. As a result we were able to enjoy our daughter's wedding with our guests. Our memories of the wedding will always be positive due to the Mansion's effort to work with us to capture our daughter's dreams. (PS Even the fireflies came to entertain our California guests!)
We recently just had our wedding at the Mansion at Oak Hill. Erin was absolutely great and got back to every e-mail or question I had ASAP. The flexibility and some of their staff was lacking, mainly just one man. They are flexible in the sense they will work with you on timelines, tastings, and due dates. However, they are not flexible on how you want to do some things. They will not allow you to bring in your own chair covers/linens, catering, or alcohol, which for the most part we didn't mind. We did want to rent our own chair covers because we found some much more cheaper elsewhere and they would not allow that. Since we couldn't bring rented chair covers, we asked if we could use the very pretty white chairs they use for outdoor weddings. They said they would charge us 3 dollars a chair to bring them from outside, even when we offered to do it. If you don't mind small details like that it is a great venue!
We had several compliants about the older gentleman working there named Bob the night of the wedding. He was not very corteous to my mother or some of the guests. We the were running a little behind on pictures before dinner, and he was very pushy with my mother telling her we needed to get a move on things. I appreciate that he was trying to keep us following our time line, but there are better ways to do it than to be pushy and rude...it was our wedding however and if we needed longer on pictures then we should have gotten the time. Also, at the end of the night a few of the guests wanted two drinks at last call. The man said he was not going to do that, which frustrated me because we paid a lot of money to have an open bar. If my friends wanted a second drink because the bar was closing, I believe they should have gotten it because we had paid for it.
The food was pretty good, nothing spectacular but we just got the cheapest buffet. We did try the Prime Rib at tasting, and I wish we would have had that instead. They do have a TON of options which is always nice. Their waiting staff and young bartender were all very professional, courteous, and nice.
So overall, it is a very pretty place on its own. I think they could improve on some updates with China and Centerpeice options. I also think it would be beneficial if they offered complimentary different color linens like almost all of the other venues we had checked out did.
Erin is wonderful and will answer all and any questions you may have, and had great ideas. All vendors loved working with her too, which makes things easier. For venues near Indianapolis this is a great value compared to other places. You can have a decently priced wedding and get all the essentials! We also had our wedding on a Friday which we highly reccomend too...everything is a little cheaper on a Friday :)

It was my pleasure to be the manager on duty that evening and I certainly apologize if any of my actions seemed rude to the mother of the bride or other guests. It generally is in everyone's best interest to follow the timeline that was established by the bride, particularly when it is time to serve dinner. Everyone wants the food to taste its best and any delay beyond the scheduled time allows the food to dry out and get cold. I dd try to follow the timeline but If my actions seemed abrupt, I am very sorry. We are pleased that you chose The Mansion.and that you enjoyed thevenue, food and service. Bob

I absolutely loved the Mansion for my entire wedding to take place. Erin the wedding coordinator, was always on top of it when it came to my random emails and questions. They place was just so beautiful and it was everything I wanted and more!!
The facility was beautiful and we had and an awesome reception. But! We thought that Erin did an outstanding job coordinating our special day but unfortunately she was out of town on our wedding day and some of our special requests did not get taken care of appropriately. First of all, the bars were not set up for the level of service that we had requested and paid for until we personally tracked the owner down to question him. He had to review the contract to see what level of service was paid for and then he changed the bars to the correct level of service. We did not want to have "tip jars" at the bars and The Mansion said that this would not be a problem but there were tip jars at both bars at our reception. We had made a very specific request that at least one buffet be open for 90 minutes and our contract was written this way. I have to admit that the food was awesome but as I went back to the buffet line I noticed that both buffets were closed after less than one hour (very disturbing). There were a number of fraternity brothers that pride themselves as "champion eaters" at our reception and they all went home hungry!We had paid for a bridal party toast that was to include three bottles of champagne and champagne glasses for the entire bridal party. We ended up with a glass for the bride and groom and one bottle of champagne with the rest of the bridal party looking "dumbfounded". As mentioned, the facility was beautiful and the food was awesome but without Erin present at the event, it did not appear that anyone else took the time to read the specifics on our event. FYI - make sure that your event planner is at your special event!
Must start out by saying that I am a little biased because I work here, but I also held my own wedding reception here on October 30, 2010. Everything went absolutely perfect, I don't think I could have asked for a better wedding weekend. All of my vendors did an incredible job. We chose to serve the Chicken Wellington to our guests as well as a variety of hors d'oeuvres, finishing off with mini-cheeseburgers at the end of the night. My friends and family still talk about our location, our photo booth, the food, the decor, etc...
Erin at the Mansion rocks! She was so helpful and professional throughout the whole process. She was always patient, understanding, friendly, and got the job done perfectly!
The mansion is gorgeous. We did an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. It rained the morning of and they were very flexible in waiting to see how the rain played out before calling it an indoor plan b.
The only complaints I do have a very minor. I wish they would have been more pro-active in making sure the chairs outdoor were wiped dry, my brother had to seek them out to do it. I did not think the dinner entrees were very good. We did a prime rib and a pasta primavera option. The prime rib was all fat and the pasta primavera was just dry pasta with a few veggies on it (no sauce or flavor).
I think you definately are paying for the location and the coordinator leading up to the day. The day of you're kind of on your own. Just a heads up, but it was all definately still worth having it there.
One final note...the bridal suite is just someone's office, nothing pretty.

Oak Hill was great! The only problem we had was that some of the tables didn't get served their food until very late. I think they may have been short on staff that evening. The coordinators were amazing!
Picture perfect location! Allowed me to have a beautiful wedding. Would have been all 5's except my location coordinator that i worked with all along was not their on the wedding day, which caused some confusion.
They worked really well with our budget and even were willing to wait for a payment until less than a week before our wedding. The food was delicious, but a bit pricey, but they were very nice and professional.I would recommend this place to anyone.
We recently attended an event here. It was great! I wish we had used them.
I just had my wedding ceremony and reception there this past July. We had an outside wedding and it was beautiful. They provided the centerpieces for us which was nice, because that was one less thing that we had to worry about. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. But the only thing that I would have to complain about is that having a wedding on a Saturday is very expensive, so we went for a Sunday wedding and it was a lot less expensive that way.
I was extremely pleased with our venue at Oak Hill Mansion. We had an outdoor ceremony and it was absolutely gorgeous! The grounds are very well kept and all basically green, so there are not flowers of different colors that could clash with your choice of colors. The mansion itself is very beautiful as well. If there was anything I was disapointed in was the quality of the food. At the tasting it was amazing, but then on my wedding day, it wasn't as good.
I loved this venue---the scenery was amazing and the people were very helpful. The price is pretty reasonable as well considering catering, ceremony, reception etc. We really enjoyed our wedding here!
Wonderful and delicious...the only words I can think of to describe this vendor...Let Sandwiches, Salads and Such make your day or event a memorable one with their wide array of entrees...hordeuvrs and commitment to service.

This place is beautiful, especially for a outdoor fall wedding ceremony and reception! Erin was always in touch with me and quick in returning emails. The food is fantastic! The only negetive I had is that the staff didn't have it together on the actual wedding day as much as they should have in my opinion. Overall a great venue!
Our day was perfect at The Mansion at Oak Hill. Everyone still talks about how perfect it was. They were so helpful and had tons of ideas for the Bride who thought she thought of everything. What a beautiful place to have a beautiful wedding.
Food is great! The place is beautifully set back in a garden. The staff is amazing and the manager even came out and personally served me my drinks and food. Just be prepared to spend a pretty penny.
The Mansion at Oak Hill did a WONDERFUL job with my wedding and my needs. For the amount of money, that we spent they seemed to go above and beyond in service. The food was great and the service was amazing. They provided us with a list of awesome vendors that have worked there before. The venue for outdoor ceremonies is beautiful and makes beautiful pictures. This is a great place whether you're on a budget or not.
This venue is absolutely gorgeous. I was so fortunate to get married there. The staff is super friendly and is quick to respond to any questions or concerns that you might have. I had my wedding outdoors and my reception in the east ballroom. I couldn't have been happier about how beuatiful it was!!
I highly recommend this venue to any bride who is hoping for her fairytale wedding dreams to come true.
In preparation for the reception, they do invite couples and guests to a tasting event to get an idea of what kinds of foods they make for catering purposes.
The prices are not cheap, but they are comparable to other venues that are not as beautiful or memorable. They have many options available to help reduce prices. The price I will be quoting also covers an open bar and a plated meal for 115 people.
The Manison at Oak Hill is a wonderful place.... I should know I am the owner of A Slice of Heaven Cakery...Lapel Ind.. We are there at least once a month if not more and they are so good to us, and I know that they pass that same kind of service to brides and grooms. Their food is also very good and the venue is wonderful for an outdoor event or inside...

We LOVE Oak Hill Mansion! With so few venues on the north side, it is sometimes nice to be close to home. The outdoor space for ceremonies is charming and intimate, and the ballroom is a classic space for a large or small wedding. The service there is wonderful and the food is great too!
I've been photographing weddings at The Mansion at Oak Hill for years and I'm always delighted when I have an opportunity to photograph there. It's a lovely facility with beautiful grounds and a courteous, professional staff that goes beyond to make wedding day events go smoothly. The brides I've worked with love The Mansion!

Top Hat Photo Booths HIGHLY recommends Oak Hill Mansion as a venue for your wedding. The staff is terrific and the setting is perfect for almost any size of wedding. The room overlooks a beautiful wooded area and is great for pictures. Your guests will love it as it is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. We have been there on several occasions and find them great to work with, very prepared for the event and responsive to what might be needed. If you are looking in the Fishers/Carmel area be sure to stop by and visit with them.
The service, care and attention to detail the staff at The Mansion at Oak Hill give's their clients and their guests is second to none. As a DJ, I am always excited when I have a chance to provide entertainment services there because the venue provides a perfect atmosphere for celebrating - A great blend of elegance and comfort.

The Mansion at Oak Hill is a wonderful venue. They are able to accommodate many different weddings or events. The scenery is spectacular for an outside wedding. If you choose to have an indoor wedding the windows in the ballroom give you the feeling of being outside.
