We worked with Michael of The Modern Picture for our wedding. The experience was fantastic - from the first consultation about wants/needs, a long discussion over how to best capture the moments we were looking for all the way through the wedding and delivery of the photos. Michael was incredibly flexible on our wedding day and worked with us and our ever changing schedule. He was great at capturing those "in the moment" shots, and the posed pictures were gorgeous. We were incredibly happy with the whole experience, as well as the priceless photographic memories of our day. Even our wedding guests enjoyed their encounters. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer, and highly recommend The Modern Picture to anyone in the market for a photographer.

Michael and Melissa were able to accommodate our engagement shoot in Napa and wedding in Southern California. To say that we were pleased with their work would be an understatement. Even to this day, two of their pictures sit on my desk in front of me everyday.
And as a guy, I am not used to being in front of a camera and I was quite nervous before the first photo shoot. But throughout the entire time Michael and Melissa made me feel comfortable.
Out of the many moving parts/vendors at our large wedding, they were one of the most professional and by far the easiest to work with. We loved that they went out of their way to provide us with not only great pictures, but beautiful memories of our wedding.

Michael and Melissa Petri make a phenomenal couple and wedding photography team!Michael went out of his way to meet with us in person numerous times to go through our preferred photography style (me being a bit more traditional), must-have pictures for the day, the timeline of the wedding photos and the final products that we wanted. The pictures were absolutely stunning, with Michael capturing gorgeous posed pictures and candid moments between my husband and I. Plus, Michael identified his 200 favorites and touched them up for us. He provided us with the negatives, 200 printed pictures and a beautiful magazine-style photo album within just a couple months of the wedding, amazingly quick turnaround! He was prompt to respond to my questions and listen to me during the planning and editing process. Overall, I would recommend this pair to any bride & groom -- professional, timely, high-end pictures, beautiful final album and all at a great value.
