Dispite the rain on our wedding day Krystal, one of the coordinators went above and beyond to make our day special. She worked with our vendors to get everything moved inside. And during all this she comforted me while I was feeling down because of the rain. They were able to extend our wedding another hour and half past our time due to the delays and worked tirelessly to make my day perfect. Not only was the venu beautiful the food was amazing! Our guest are still raving about how good the food was and I couldn't agree more. The planning before our day was also seemless. Working will Lauren and Alexa was amazing. They really made my groom and I feel special. We hope to have an anniversary there (outside hopefully) in the future.

Overall the Mountain Winery is a great place to have your wedding. I thought it was a little overpriced (when you have to upgrade the chairs and linens since the "standard" ones look like a banquet hall... not in a good way). It was a little difficult planning our wedding with the construction going on... but in the end our wedding was beautiful! And the price you pay is worth the view!

I hate writing this review because the Mountain Winery is such a beautiful venue. When you first visit the property, you can't help but feel overwhelmed with the view and gorgeous surroundings! If you choose this place, trust that the setting is beautiful and the food and wine is outstanding!
The low scores are due to the staff and the timeliness of their recent construction project. The winery was on the high side of our budget but I still chose it for all the reasons mentioned above. We were told when we booked in March 08 that everything HAD to be completed by July, meaning that our November wedding would have no issues whatsoever. That date kept being pushed back until we arrived at our finalization meeting two weeks prior to our wedding date with the patio for our ceremony not completed and a couple details in the winery building still unfinished. Thankfully we were apologized to and told that we would have the entire property to ourselves on our wedding day. That being said, the wedding from the day before decided to tent the deck because of rain and we just had to deal with that even though the weather had cleared up by our ceremony.
Also, our coordinator was a disaster. She screwed up our rehearsal time, failed to order the overlays I requested and took at least a week to get back to my emails and calls (that's when she even received them...sometimes she wouldn't respond and I'd have to contact her again!). All this culminated in her leaving without even telling us half way through our reception. I'm in the wedding planning business myself so I was able to direct her staff to serve our cake and knew enough to get everything together after the reception was over. I understand if you're not required to stay through the entire event. I just would have appreciated her telling me so that I wouldn't be caught off guard!
Again, I hate to even write this! I just feel that brides should be fully aware of what they're getting into.

My husband and I had our wedding here and it was truly gorgeous! The site was pricey for our budget, but we don't regret choosing it and our guests, both local and out-of-town, loved the setting and scenery. Oh, and the wine is tops and the weather is almost guaranteed to be fabulous during the summer.
The winery has had extensive renovations in 2008. They no longer have the wishing well, so ceremonies are held at a patio-type area that they call the vista point. It's right near the chateau deck where the receptions are. Definitely go visit if you haven't seen the site since the renovations.
The only reason I chose 4 stars and not 5 is because the winery's fabulous wedding coordinator, Kristi, is on maternity leave and her replacement was not as helpful or knowledgeable. She was flaky and had trouble getting our menu and details straight even after my family had clearly specified what we wanted several times. Hopefully with time she will get better.... or Kristi comes back soon!

It's right near the chateau deck where the receptions are. Definitely go visit if you haven't seen the site since the renovations..... it's really quite different! They were running a behind with the renovations and had to cancel their first few concerts of the season which made me a very nervous bride, but things fell together with only a few minor exceptions.
The only reason I can't give a much higher recommendation is that the winery's fabulous wedding coordinator, Kristi, is on maternity leave and her replacement was not too helpful or knowledgeable. She was flaky and had trouble getting our menu and details straight even after my family had clearly specified what we wanted several times. Her responsiveness was sub-par and we were all really bummed that Kristi wasn't still working for our wedding (but of course we are happy for her new addition!). Hopefully Kristi's replacement will get better.... or Kristi comes back soon!

I seriously considered having my wedding here. It is situated on the top of a hill with a panoramic view of the silicon valley. The dining area can be on the patio overlooking the vally (which seats about 150?) or indoors among wine barrels.
My fiance and I visited the Mountain Winery last summer when we were scouting out possible reception sites. My first impression was the parking lot.. with a panoramic view and clear blue summer skies.. the parking lot was gorgeous! (yes, I am gushing about a parking lot)
Then we walked through rolling vineyards for about 5 minutes to get to the main building. Very good for pictures!
We got to the main building where there was a side pool and some people drinking some beer and wine, listening to music and having a good time.
From June-September, the Mountain Winery can host only daytime weddings because there are concerts at night. Daytime weddings are 8am-3pm while evening weddings are 4:30pm-11:00pm.
