Dan and his staff did an excellent job. We knew we were in capable hands from the start at the tasting. His experience is transparent. We couldn't have been happier with the food and service the Moveable Feast provided at our wedding.

The Moveable Feast did an AMAZING job throughout the whole wedding planning process, and even more so on our actual wedding day!!! All of my guests were impressed by how quickly everyone was able to move through the buffet lines, as well as, how the food was just as hot when the last person was served as the first! I highly suggest both the cocktail hour to pass time for your guests while you're getting pictures taken, along with the chocolate fountain for a sweet treat after dinner! I would recommend The Moveable Feast to anyone looking for catering for their wedding, or any other function!!!

Moveable Feast provided the catering for my wedding as well as handled most of the rentals and set up for the reception venue. The venue required us to bring everything in and Dan used his experience at the venue to make sure it ran smoothly, even with the strict venue rules. My family knew the food would be great because we've used Moveable Feast in the past, but it went above and beyond my expectations. Even with a large wedding (225 guests), the service was quick. Dan was very flexible when I changed the total guest number and set up a few days before the wedding. I would recommend Moveable Feast to all brides.

The food was delicious and very well-presented - an especially impressive feat since our reception was held in a museum without a warming kitchen. The staff was also responsive and helpful. My fiance and I planned our wedding in three short months. That's right, from engaged to married in 3 months. This was only accomplished with the amazing help from our vendors.The Moveable Feast was the first caterer I contacted. I received a very prompt response from Kimberly, and together, we quickly got to work hammering out every detail of the affair. Although, we only took 3 months to plan the wedding, it certainly looked like we had been planning for far longer. Kimberly responded to all of my emails in a very timely fashion, leaving this shortly engaged bride, "cool as a cucumber" in her words. She is to receive a lot of the credit for me not stressing out as much as I could have with such a short time frame to work within (well, her and my incredibly calm and supportive fiance).

When we went for the menu tasting, my fiance and I were totally sold. The appetizers, the salad, the entrees, and the desserts were all incredible and we were stuffed by the time we left. We easily settled on our menu and spent the final 2 months perfecting details and keeping the cost affordable and within budget. That was the other big selling point for us. Kimberly worked with us so much on keeping within budget.

The day of, things went so smoothly and Kimberly was there to oversee most of the details along with a very well-trained waitstaff. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the entire Moveable Feast. Our wedding, planned in 3 months, was perfect and only made possible by the selection of a truly, Professional caterer such as the Moveable Feast. Not only were they professional, but the food was fantastic as well. The apps, exquisite; the salad, perfect; and the entrees, hot, fresh, and delicious. People raved about the food! From the initial prompt email response, to the first meeting at the menu tasting, to the smoothness of the wedding day, the Moveable Feast is highly recommended by my now-Husband and me.

This was no surprise, because they are notoriously highly reviewed, but we had a fabulous experience with The Moveable Feast. Dan and his staff are incredibly friendly, personable and great to work, and are always willing to make any accommodations and adjustments to make the client happy. They were very respectful of our budget and gave us a TON of bang for our buck. The food was absolutely delicious, and very farm-fresh, and locally sourced when possible, which we really appreciated. Dan will take any steps to make things easier and stress free for the wedding hosts, and this is obvious in the quality of the staff he hires, and the time he takes to work with you prior to an event. I felt 100% confident about the quality of food and service that Moveable would provide going into the wedding, and they did not disappoint. Great!!

The moveable feast catered my outdoor wedding that was held at my inlaw's house. Dan and the team were amazing! From the beautiful bar set up, to the fabulous appetizers, to the fresh buffet, the service and the food were flawless. His staff was very professional and even stayed late to help with the tear down of the tables and chairs under the tent. I have gotten so many complements on the food and would highly recommend the moveable feast to any brides to be!

Everything was perfect! I knew the moment I spoke with Dan back in August 2011 this wedding was going to be something special, and the team far exceeded what I had hoped for her wedding. They were attentive, professional and there was so much warmth in the way they interacted with the family and guests. My daughter and her husband had what I’d hoped for them – a lifetime of good memories for their special day.

Every single detail was taken care of. The staff was flexible and accommodating to our wishes, and they even prepared special vegetarian entrees to our few guests who were vegan. (and one made sure to personally thank the bride and groom for that gesture).

I would without reservation recommend The Moveable Feast catering for those planning special events. They are just an amazing group of people.

All of my guests raved about the food and the friendly service provided by The Moveable Feast. Every part from planning to the execution the day of was an absolute pleasure for me as a bride, and it was a dream come true to have the quality of food that we did at a price we could afford.

We hired Moveable Feast for our May 2012 wedding at the University of Michigan Museum of Art. After meeting with Dan, we knew that he would take care of everything for us. We had several emails back and forth and he was very responsive to our needs and suggestions. We chose the taste of Michigan combo plate with beef tenderloin and pretzel encrusted walleye. Everything was delicious, and cooked pretty well. I just wish the portions were slightly bigger. We also got compliments on the vegetarian dish, which was a southwestern black bean casserole. For drinks, we had red and white sangria, which was a big hit. The servers and bartenders gave great service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone getting married. I'm looking forward to enjoying more Moveable Feast cuisine at friend's weddings this summer!

Moveable Feast did an AMAZING job with our wedding reception. They were so helpful and creative in planning the event and pulled everything off seamlessly. We did cocktail, heavy appetizer night instead of the traditional meal. Many of guests commented that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

We had so many people tell us during and after our wedding that this was the best wedding food they've ever had. The Movable Feast staff were on time, professional, very nice and during the planning they were very easy and fun to work with and helped in any way to make the wedding what we wanted. Another great thing is that they didn't charge to cut and distribute the cake. We found that many of the other places we looked at wanted to charge us for every single thing including a cake cutting fee, The movable feast did a great job helping us stay within budget and gave us the best wedding ever.

We were married in an empty barn in the middle of rural Indiana, so finding a dependable caterer who could also help with all of our rentals was key. My husband is also in the restaurant business in Chicago, so food & drink was his primary focus of our wedding (after his bride, of course!).

Dan & his staff went above and beyond to give us the wedding we were envisioning. I just can't say enough about The Moveable Feast - our food was truly delectable, the staff knew (& met) our needs before we even realized them, and thanks to Dan, all of the rental logistics worked out perfectly. Going with The Moveable Feast was by far the best decision we made - we highly recommend Dan & his staff.

Moveable Feast was the best decision we made for the wedding- it set up everything else to go flawlessly the rest of the day. Working with Dan and Laura was amazing- from our first phone call with them to our delicious tasting and their site visits to our house to stake out the reception area, they thought of everything and made it all so easy. The tent and all of our rentals were perfect, the service was excellent, and the food, of course, was the best I've ever had at a wedding. I truly think that these guys were the ones who tied everything together for us, and I would strongly recommend that other brides give Dan a call for catering or any of his other services. Without the Moveable Feast, we would have had to cobble together a bunch of other vendors to provide what we needed for our outdoor reception, but instead, we were able to pull off a seamless and beautiful wedding for 200 exactly as I had pictured. We worked with the Moveable Feast for our wedding in September, 2011. We had an awesome experience! We were married at a venue that required us to bring everything in ourselves and provided no help with the day itself. This made it very overwhelming to envision how all of these little details would come together! When we first met with Dan from the Moveable Feast, he eased our minds completly. Not only do they offer more than just food and catering services (they also do rentals for chairs, linnens, servers, bartenders, tents, and many other things), but they were willing to work within our budget to still create the day we had envisioned. Dan and his team were a pleasure to work with as well. They were all very down to earth and friendly and were quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Last but certainly not least, the food was AMAZING! Our guests could not believe how good it was and how much it differed from the traditional wedding buffet food. The only thing I regret is not eating more of it! We also had wonderful experiences with the staff that worked our wedding. They were professional and friendly and did an excellent job with everything. I wouldn't reccomend anyone else for your special day!

Anything we asked for Dan managed to get it or take care of it for us. He even brought his trucks down to the park and cooked on site. You can't get fresher than that. I went back to work 4 days after the wedding and my co-workers are still raving about how good the food was! We told him our budget and he made it work for us. He is so so easy to work with. The Moveable Feast was an AMAZING entity to work with! They made our wedding breathtakingly gorgeous and the food was delicious! My husband and I never even met the caterer in person because we just didn't have the time, but trusted the good reviews we read online. I was only slightly nervous because of this fact, but had NO NEED TO BE! Everything was perfect and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We have had numerous compliments about how delicious the food was, especially about the vegetarian dishes! Oh, additionally they were extremely flexible and willing to work within our small-ish budget. Amazing vendor. I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding. You wont be disappointed!

Working with the owner of Moveable Feast Catering, Dan Huntsbarger, and his staff was a great experience. Dan is knowledgeable, patient, extremely flexible, and helped us to achieve the most for our budget. The food was delicious and I noticed a number of guests returning to the buffet table for seconds and even thirds.

Reliable and responsive caterer with food, presentation, and delivery that's simply fabulous. Flexible in regard to choices of many aspects of the wedding planning, and provides useful ideas. While not cheap, we felt that it was a really good value for the money. The food presentation (champagne, appetizers, desserts) was near spectacular. The caterer helped in moving the wedding participants from one event to the next.

Prior to my wedding, I used this caterer in a conference I organized, which involved 70 participants from 3 continents. In both cases, I only heard praise from people who attended these events in regard to food, drink and decor.

Dan and his staff were wonderful! Our wedding was wonderful and the food was amazing. I fully recommend the appetizers - a great spread.

The Movable Feast is the best caterer in the area. They have a long history of good service and came highly recommended. When my mom hosted a wedding 15 years ago, Movable Feast did the cake. Two of my friends used Movable feast at their wedding. Here are some reasons as a couple to choose them:
(1) They are extremely professional, always on top of things, and provide all the necessary rentals needed (i.e. dinner ware, table cloths, etc.) I didn't need to follow up with anything, they followed up with me when things started to get close, and worked with my wedding planner to do the table set up.
(2) They provided EXCELLENT service. Most of the time you don't get to taste the appetizers when you come in; however, Movable feast provided plated appetizers to the head table, so that when we came in, there was food for people to start munching on before dinner was served. (or in my case, we went to get dinner).
(3) My husband and I chose to do a buffet (less expensive, and more choices for the guests), and Movable feast provided someone to plate my food. It was GREAT, that way I didn't have to worry about getting food on my dress.
(4) The owner, Dan Huntsbarger, was extremely useful. We were initially thinking of doing a pasta bar, but he advised against it. He would have done it for us, but he understood that the flow of the event would be difficult for 75 - 100 people to go through a pasta bar. There would have been lines, and it wouldn't have been as nice for the guests. This was excellent advice, and we decided not to do the pasta bar.

There are many other reasons that I would recommend Movable Feast, but the MOST IMPORTANT is that the food is AMAZING. The price is also completely reasonable. If I do any other event in the area, I will definitely use Movable Feast.

Dan and his entire staff are wonderful! They are able to deal with almost any situation with professionalism and a quiet grace. Although the weather conditions weren't perfect for them at our event, our guests were blissfully unaware!

Moveable Feast Catering did a wonderful Job. The food was excellent! Every guest that I talked to at the reception had wonderful things to say about the food. We were very pleased with the reception food and the Bar service. They cooked the food on site and was served hot and very enjoyable. These people know how to cater an event!

I was worried about the catering for my outdoor tent-reception. I was not sure how any vendor would be able to battle the hot tempratures and less than ideal facilities. However, the food at my outdoor wedding ended up being totally amazing, delicious and creative and one of the most talked about details. They even dyed the sushi rice used to make my appetizers in the colors of my reception. Smart and creative touches that left my guests feeling fat and happy! One of the most important components to any good reception is the food. If you want amazing, budget-friendly fare, book with Moveable Feast!

Dan and his staff was wonderful to work with! He was very flexible to work with us within our budget but still was able to have an elegant wedding. We also used for our rehearsal dinner and everyone was so impressed. At our wedding, guests raved, it was the best food they ever had. The presentation was wonderful. Our wedding was outdoors, in August, in a tent and the tables were dressed beautifully and everything just came together as he promised. He covered everything from the tent, to chairs, tables, linens to food, he can do it all. We will use him in the future when we can.

Dan and his team did a great job at our wedding. It was held in a barn with no kitchen (or running water for that matter) and he was able to make everything work! He went on his own to check out the venue a few weeks before and suggested how he could bring rods and curtin to create a plating area.

The food was awesome. Not inexpensive, but at the tasting, when Dan mentioned he had picked the morels himself for the sauce, I was sold. We had a vegetarian option (Portobella Wellington) that everyone loved!

Great value and extremely well done. They can do exactly what you want for your food and Dan will organize everything for the day, which is nice to have "one-stop" shopping. Dan is not present the day of the wedding and that is who you work with up until the day of so just to be aware of that.

We were so lucky to have heard about Dan and The Moveable Feast. He was recommended to us by our wedding planner, and honestly I don't know what we would have done without him. We were working with a tight-ish budget and he found a way to not only make it work, but to make it absolutely wonderful. His displays ate very professional and elegant. He is extremely flexible and inventive, he was open to our ideas (and our aversions) and came up with fun twists of his own that we loved. Planning a wedding from afar can be difficult, but working with Dan made the process easy. Dan is a true artist, as he was able to match all of our guest's pallets. One of our personal favorites was the pretzel crusted Michigan walleye, and it went quick! Our wedding at River Birch Lodge turned out beautifully, in large part to Dan and his staff. We received countless compliments throughout the night on the excellent quality of service by the waitstaff and the amazing food. I cannot rave enough about The Moveable Feast. The second I got engaged, I knew that I had to have them cater the reception. Their food is innovative, DELICIOUS, and beautiful. My guests are still talking (and craving) about the food at the reception and it's been over 6 months! Dan's team are courteous, responsive, and extremely helpful...especially to the people that don't know much about food. He will come up with a plan and many choices to make your catered event perfect.
