Ordered pine tree seedlings for our favors. Very inexpensive but look super expensive! Little tree, a note about care, tissue, organza, and ribbon makes each gift complete! Not too hard to put together either!

The Arbor Day Foundation provided saplings for us to give as favors for our vow renewal. They were very helpful in getting the trees here in time for us to plant them and hand them out to people and also in providing literature for people to know what to do with the trees once they got them home.

In lieu of candy, small frames or something heart shaped, we decided to plant one tree per guest as a way to give back. The certificate wasn't really attractive, so we made up a separate note and placed in a frame with the escort cards.

The trees went perfectly with our theme and were great keepsakes for all our guests to take home and remember our wedding by.

We used Arbor Day's "trees in celebration" as our favors. Through their website we purchased 140 trees (one for each guest) to be planted in a national forest. Arbor Day sent us a certificate that said 140 trees were planted in our guests honor in celebration of our wedding day. I printed up favor scrolls telling guests in celebration of our wedding day a tree had been planted in their honor. I loved this idea (typical favors usually get thrown out or forgotten anyway) and I think most people felt the same way. I highly recommend Arbor Day Foundation!

The gift trees are really nice and great for the environment- if your guests plant them! They arrived with directions on keeping them at the right temperature before the wedding and with directions on how to plant them. They also offer the chance to include a personalized card with the trees, which was nice. I recommend for eco-conscious people!

Give a tree as your wedding favor!

Trees were a running theme at our wedding. We had tree outlines on our invitations, and we chose earth tones for our bridesmaids, and we decided to name the tables on our seating charts after trees in Oklahoma. Because my husband and I are avid hikers, we decided that a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation would be better than flower seeds. We made a small table displaying the donation made. I found that some people liked the idea, but more people didn’t know what the Arbor Day Foundation was, which was a bit confusing having to explain it.

We ordered Gift Trees as favors for our guests. Most of our guests were from either the midwest or CA. For the midwest guests we gave Blue Spruce trees, and for the CA guests we gave Ponderosa Pine trees. The Blue Spruces were very hardy and many people were able to plant them (and they are surviving!), however, the Ponderosa Pine trees were a little wilted, and most didn't make it :(
The Arbor Day Foundation was easy to work with, and the trees arrived three days before the wedding. We were able to customize the labels.
