The Pines at Genesee

We couldn't have asked a better venue for our wedding day. I was never a girl who dreamed of her wedding before finding this venue. Once we found the Pines at Genesee I knew I had a place that would be better than any dream. The venue is breathe taking and the service that they provide are amazing. The event coordinator, Lindsay Conroy was the most attentive person I've ever met... she answered very crazy question I had no matter the hour night or day. I told Lindsay this before but I'll say it again..... If we could take her essence and make a series of perfume the 3 fragrances would be Efficiency, Professionalism, and Awesomeness by the Pines. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a perfect day because you need the right people to make a dream a reality.

The Pines at Genesee catered our wedding. The food was delicious. We're from New York so we know good food. All our New York guest loved the food as well, two days later everyone is still talking about the quesadilla station. We're looking for an excuse to throw a party to be catered by the Pines so we can have some...

Lindsay at the Pines was great! She was quickly responsive to my never ending questions, ran my event on time, and gave me great recommendations for my other vendors. The Pines staff was professional and did a wonderful job. The Pines is a catering company and they offered a lot of variety in food choices for my guests- I didn't get one bit of negative feedback on the food- everyone loved it. The location is also wonderful- close enough to Denver to be convienent, but also up into the mountains just enough to feel far away. I'm very happy with my choice to use the Pines as my reception/ceremony venue.

I am so happy we had our wedding at The Pines. Lindsay and staff are amazing. Lindsay was quick to respond to any questions we asked. Their vendor packages made planning a wedding (from out of state) easy. The outdoor terraces are lovely. It's was a perfect setting for our ceremony and pictures. The newly remodeled reception room is gorgeous. We had a wonderful night and our guests continue to comment on how much they enjoyed it too. Oh and the food is amazing. The pesto mashed potatoes and green bread are MUST haves menu items!!!!

My daughter selected the Pines at Genesee for her August Wedding and it was picture perfect. The food was excellent, and the staff are very good at what they do...the service was awesome, including the way they set up the bar!! They contract you in very tightly, so be prepared to provide and follow through with a host of requirments, including a strict timeline and no use of bathroom facilities during the rehearsal. Overall, it was a great experience and Lindsay obviously knows her business. We had a glitch during our event where I-70 was closed and many guests and vendors were late, however we were not allowed to extend the timeline without incurring additional costs, so the event was much shorter than we had planned, but it all worked out well.
Lindsay takes great care to coordinate the vendors and it was such a relief to know that SHE knew where everyone was. My daughter's two dogs were allowed to be in the ceremony, which was something I don't think The Pines had dealt with before, but with someone assigned to take the dogs home as soon as the ceremony was over it went off without a hitch. THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at the Pines for a day we will always remember!!

The staff at Pines were awesome! They were so quick to answer questions and address concerns. As a couple we had a lot of freedom of choice yet their input was most helpful. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. If there were any problems I would not have known. Awesome!!!

Lindsey, who is the owner, was excellent! She is knowledgeable about weddings and receptions. She knows what works and what does not work. There is no second guessing with your reception. She is organized and extremely detailed oriented. Her employees are professional and appear happy in the work they do. We did not have to worry about forgetting anything. The facilities are roomy and appealing to the eye and the location of each room flows comfortably. We were on the main floor. The “kids buffet and special room” was received well and feedback was very positive. We had the buffet for adults and the food was abundant and tasty. We would highly recommend your wedding reception be held at the Pines in Genesee.

Everything at the Pines at Genesee went SO smoothly and we've had many compliments that the location was magnificent. We really can't think of anything that didn't go as planned, and the staff was very helpful in making our wedding exactly as we had imagined. Additionally, the support leading up to the wedding made the planning time much less stressful. We would definitely recommend this to anyone getting married!

We were extremely pleased with the Pines. We had our wedding ceremony there as well as the reception and we very satisfied with the service, food, staff, beauty, and atmosphere. Lindsay and Anna worked very hard to make our day special, pleasant, beautiful, and memorable. Our guests are still talking about the wonderful experience they had as well. They loved the food, the staff and the wonderful view! The Pines was recommended to us by friends and we were so glad we decided to have our wedding and reception there!

I didn't ask for much from my coordinator at the Pines, and she not once went out of her way for me. She was extremely rude to my fiance and I during our planning meeting. It was one of the worst experiences of my whole wedding. The venue is beautiful and easy which is why I chose it, but despite all of that, I would have chose somewhere different if I knew how myself and my guests were going to be treated.

The Pines at Genesee is a beautiful location for a ceremony and reception, and the staff is so helpful throughout the whole planning and execution of the wedding. My contact, Lindsay, answered endless questions patiently, offered good suggestions, was a wealth of knowledge about how weddings usually run, and made several changes I requested somewhat last minute. Day-of she made sure everything ran smoothly on-site. Everything was on-time, the whole staff is friendly and curteous, and the food is delicious. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone getting married...it was the perfect backdrop for our dream wedding, and at a reasonable price!

Everything was setup beautifully with lights and the decor is very beautiful, simple and lovely.

I didn't have a wedding planner and was partially running the show, and the staff helped a great deal in making sure things kept on schedule, but also were flexible when we needed extra time before certain things were supposed to take place. This is key when picking a place! Things never start the minute they're supposed to, but they helped me stay calm about things needing to be delayed.

I'm not really sure about the value for cost. I think everything was well worth what we paid for. The food was delicious and many of our guests commented on how good it was. I did end up needing an additional hour at the end of the night, since I had the wedding ceremony there and that took up an hour of the evening. And that extra hour's cost was quite a bit considering everything that was paid for, but I understand the high cost due to keeping the staff there longer.

All in all, a wonderful venue to have a wedding at, very professional and flexible, delicious food and beautiful location. Thank you to the staff!

BEAUTIFUL venue. We were scheduled for an outside wedding, and due to a freak snowstorm, ended up moving it inside. Lindsay was wonderful in getting everything moved inside at such late notice. Since they do catering in-house, they're not flexible at bringing in outside food, but being able to bring you own alcohol is awesome! All in all, it was a great experience - I highly recommend them!

Time for set up and tear down can be a little hectic--no early arrivals. Other than that beautiful location and awesome staff!

We were thrilled with our experience at The Pines at Genesee! The grounds are gorgeous and exactly what I wanted for a backdrop to our ceremony! We had our ceremony and reception there and couldn't have been more happy with the way everything turned out! They are extremely professional and a pleasure to work with! I feel like they went the extra mile to make sure that our special day was all that we could've hoped for & it exceeded our expectations!

Jean and Anna were awesome at helping me plan my wedding from out of state.( My husband is in the military and is stationed in California and we are both from Colorado. So I have been living out there with him.) They worked around my schedule and when I was in town. They always responded quickly when I emailed or called them. Anna was extremely up front about everything before we booked them. They don't not trap you into extra costs! Jean was on top of things and called all other venues and made sure everyone was on the same page! Neither or those ladies were at the reception but the server in charge did an awesome job! Everything went off without a hitch! I couldn't have asked for a better reception!! Plus the food is very good!! THey also worked with us when one of our guests had a food allergy. They made sure he had something he could eat!

I used the Pines for my wedding reception. I was in the downstairs room and it was the most beautiful venue. The food was amazing, many people commented that it was the best wedding food that they had ever had. They really stick to their rules and they do not let you know upfront what all of them are, so ask for ALL of the rules before you sign with them. They are very professional and return calls and emails quickly, but they have many more rules than other places. These impact your decorating, centerpieces, the time alcohol is allowed to be served, and delievering your favors right before the ceremony. However, we saved a fortune getting our alcohol with a liquor store. Just some things to consider. But overall I was fairly happy with their service.

Beautiful Venue, good price, would not recommend the sack lunches, but, desserts were out of this world. Sore spot and memory is a lot of my family complained the way they were treated by the event planner that works for the pines. She was very rude to a lot of my guests and they complained to me about it...other than that big black mark, beautiful location and wedding memories. The quality of the service by the servers was great, but she really lacked professionalism.

The Pines were absolutely fantastic to us, I would make sure you read the contracts because they will hold you them. (as they should) If you mess up with any of the agreements it could be additionally costly to you, I wouldn't have picked a different venue though it was gorgeous and we loved it!

The Pines at Genesee was a beautiful place to get married. Just located up the mountain from Golden, Colorado, the large windows provided a spectacular view of Denver, Colorado. The Ceremony site located next door is convenient for guests to just walk through the parking lot for the Reception. The Ceremony site tucked into a wooded area allows for guests to forget how close they are to the Reception site. The Pines staff was very professional and helped during the set up/take down process. The Pines at Genesee is one of the only sites that allows for one to bring in their own alcohol, which is a large part of the cost savings. The place itself is beautiful and the decor inside matches anyone’s taste for a wedding, that not much decorating even has to occur. Would recommend this site to others, and in fact many of our guests commented on how beautiful our wedding was.

the pines was just fabulous. The only thing is they will not let you take food home with you, so if you plan on getting married here make sure you plan to have something to eat at your hotel....trust me you will be hungry because during the reception you will be so busy. Also to have the wedding planner at your rehearsal, you will be expected to pay another two hundred dollars an hour to have her help you. We didn't have her at the rehearsal and wedding day we didn't quite have communication up to speeed.

The Pines at Genesee is so beautiful! We had our wedding on their Terrace and it was picture perfect. It's really easy to get to and give directions out...especially for those out-of-towners. The owner and wedding coordinator are super nice and very helpful. We also used their catering service and it was out of this world. I would totally recommend The Pines if you're doing a mountain wedding but still easy to get to.

We had a wonderful time! Even with 2 feet of snow everywhere, the food was great- warm, and more than enough. It was a beautiful location, I highly recommend them.

We loved the venue! It was picture perfect. We did not require a lot of decorations. I would recommend booking off-season to save money!

We loved the choices The Pines gave us for our rentals, food, and the reception service. They have a spectacular vantage point overlooking Golden and the night lights of Denver. We estimated food per person and ended up with way more than we actually needed. Under estimate a few heads to feed and you'll still be fine. The Groom is also active duty military and our dates needed to be changed, the pines was very helpful with our needs and flexible with the cost of changing the date.

The Pines is a wonderful place to start your new lives together! I love working with the whole staff up there as a package provider. They will take care of everything you can think of to make your special day memorable and easy!!!
