If you do a horse and carriage first thing is dont tell anyone especially the groom!! Next thing is if you do use a horse and carriage use Shenandoah the cinderalla carriage. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and boy did I get this with using this company. The price is a little high at first but trust me afterwards no price could be paid to thank them for there service and everything. My guest a month later are still amazed by the carriage and I know it wont be forgotten by not only me but by lots. Also even though the weather ended up being cold and rainy they were still with a smile on there face and did such an amazing job. I could not even begin to thank them enough for sharing in my big day and making such a great impression!!

Levi and his team were great! They were running a little late, but they got me to the ceremony on time! We requested the Haflinger team and they were able to provide them! Levi even met with me the week before at our venue to figure out the logistics. I would definitely recommend!

Shenandoah did a fantastic job. As a horse person, I appreciated the calm, quiet, professional way they dealt with their horses and any issues. They ended up not having the promised space to turn around their long trailer but worked around the issue with no fuss. The property where our ceremony was held has horses, which galloped around and called almost the entire time. Shenandoah's Haflingers were calm and well-behaved in spite of this extra excitement.

I am so excited that selected this company. If you want to look like Cinderella, definitely use this company. It is worth every penny. At first I was shocked by the price but on the day of my wedding, I was very wowed and excited. I would definitely do it again. Not many people at the wedding knew about the Cinderella carriage prior to the wedding but everyone was surprised and excited when we arrived in the carriage. The carriage company offered rides for others after me and husband rode around. We were truly Cinderella and Prince Charming for the day and forever!

The Shenandoah Carriage company provided me with a beautiful carriage and Bavarian horses for my ceremony. The wedding guests were also able to enjoy rides during the reception. They were extremely flexible, made sensible recommendations and provided us with great service. They even sent me a disc of pictures they took of guests riding in the carriage!
I love these people. These are very kind folks, very professional and have the prettiest carriages. The Cinderella Carriage is so fairy tale like. When you see the horses hitched to it, you can just picture a young lady in a full ballgown, or some slim mermaid type gown immerging from the carriage. Then there is the Black carriage, makes you wonder why wer ever went to cars.
The Shenandoah Carriage Company provides one of the most exciting carriages available. The Cinderella carriage is a really unique setting for photographing your bride or Quinceaneras lady.

FAQ for The Shenandoah Carriage Company, LLC
What type of horses do you use? We have a selection of large and small draft horses. They are all hand selected with specific qualities, hard working, personable and people-friendly. We always use a team (2) at any event.
Horse drawn vehicles travel 1 mile every 15 to 20 minutes so you should keep your travel distance to within two miles between locations. If the distance is too great to travel by horse drawn vehicle, consider staging at either the church or meet the carriage a mile from the reception site and have us bring you in for a grand entrance.
If travel on the road is required, the route should be fairly straight with minimal hills. Blind spots are dangerous when dealing with fast moving cars and slow moving carriages. We will evaluate your route and may select an alternative route to keep you safe during your trip. Or we may request that a guest follow in their car with flashing hazard lights to make the carriage a bit more visible.
If you plan to have a carriage available for the first ride as husband and wife, discuss timing with your photographer. Often they have a series of photos planned at the church after the ceremony. That may take up 20 to 30 minutes of your carriage time. Delay the start time of the carriage so we do not use up the hour waiting for photos.
Consider keeping the carriage an hour or two longer and offering rides to your guests as a gift from the newlyweds. It is our experience that the guests thoroughly enjoy the experience and it keeps the younger guest busy.
