The Flexibility started from the beginning, going above and beyond and out of the way to get me what i wanted. Philip was completely on the ball about every part of the wedding, from the moment I arrived to the last minutes of the event.
I was a little nervous about people dancing because it was a day time wedding but let me tell you he didn't let anyone leave that dance floor! From the fun music to the crazy games, we had the time of our lives. MULTIPLE people came up to me afterwards and said that it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. Phillip made the party move and kept the fun rolling!
I would recommend The Specialists Entertainment to ANYONE looking to have a good time at a wedding or party.

These guys were fantastic. Brendan was easy to get in touch with, and flexible with every idea we had - he really wanted to make sure we had exactly the party that we asked for. They kept group dances to the two we requested, and never played another one (which was something we put on our do not play list, so yay!). Phil was a fabulous Emcee, who kept everyone entertained and on the dance floor. I saw family out dancing that I never expected and that is delightful. They threw in some surprises for us as well, including a bait n switch on the Garter Toss/Bouquet Toss combo that may be one of my favorite memories of the entire night. A special nod to Dave, their candid photographer - he took shots during the ceremony that were displayed during the beginning of dinner, and then took shots that popped up on screen all night. Everyone loved seeing them, including me and my husband! In addition, we have all the originals of those pictures now, and they are a wonderful addition to our professional shots. I would definitely recommend upgrading to include this feature - it's such a nice touch, and gives you even more to remember the special day.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. All of our guests have said that it was one of the most fun weddings they've ever attended, and I give a lot of credit for that to these guys. Top class.

Philip Santos is, hands down, one of the best in the business. I was originally weary of hiring a DJ for my wedding because I wanted to have an upbeat vibe with a live band going the whole night. After meeting with Philip, I quickly realized that he was an absolute perfect fit. He met with me and my husband a number of times to get the music just right. He paid a great amount of attention to detail for everything from the introduction/entrance music, to the garter toss, etc. During the reception and after the wedding was done, every single person that came up to me said that our DJ was phenomenal! There was a natural flow and transition between songs, and just a great energy in the venue. Also, a big plus, when he saw us getting pulled into long conversations, he would have us come back out on the dance floor so we could enjoy our wedding as well! I cannot thank him enough for what he did for our wedding. A true pleasure to work with and the most talented DJ I have ever experienced!

The Specialists Entertainment is by far the best dj to have at your wedding. Philip (the owner) is great, funny, easy to work with, detail oriented and very professional. He worked with us, took everything we asked and made our ideas better to exceed all expectations. It's not hard to have a good time with Philip MC'ing. He led the evening in a fluid and natural way. He really knows how to keep the energy of the party going. He doesn't have to ask the guests to the dance floor because they're already there. He knows how to set the perfect tone and energy level for the party for people to enjoy themselves. And the sound quality he provides great, not too loud, not too quiet and very clear. Our friends have all raved at how great our dj was.

First I will start by saying that pulling the music and ideas for our wedding together were super easy with Phil. He gave us options and we simply chose a, b, or c. Two things that were super important to us was that he speak both English and Portuguese seeing as how our guest list was mostly comprised of ppl of both languages we wanted to make everyone feel like a part of the party. More importantly my husbands family was coming from Europe and we wanted them to feel like a part of their son's wedding! Phil spoke in English and many times spoke in Portuguese directly afterward, engaging all of our guests. The second thing that was important to us was that people get up and dance and participate in the games that we wanted to have go on during the reception. Phil brought all of the props needed for the games and he coaxed everyone to get up and participate. He didnt just play music and announce the usual stuff such as, the cutting of the cake and such, but led game after game as well as all of the usual wedding reception details. His voice, style of talking, and personality are so suited to this that I honestly cannot emphasize this enough. Other MCs that I interviewed before him made me feel that they understood the play list that I wanted and the general feeling we wanted to create, but voice and personality are so important and I was just not confident that they could pull it off. Regardless if an MC has the proper equipment if he does not have the right balance in his personality I was able to imagine how easily ignorable his attempts at getting people involved would be. Not getting people out of their seats would have made our games a flop and the night would have been a dud. But he did it in a way where he was not offensive, didnt come off to strongly, or too weak...it was just perfect. He just brings such a statement of class with the way he does things. A true true professional cut out for this!!! When I spoke to Phil he immediately made me feel confident. If your unsure all you have to do is have one face to face meeting with him and you will understand. That taken together with the way he laid out our options on screens, using other concrete examples, having it all at his finger tips in a truly pleasing professional layout, his voice, mannerisms, personality...just makes it really match the vision in your mind putting you at ease. On my wedding night our guests were pooling outside to get air...raving right then and there about how great the DJ is!!! Honestly, looking back at pictures my husband commented that every single person was smiling so hard that it looked like their faces were going to crack!!!! There are so many photos where people are not just smiling stiffly, or politely, but literally cracking up from their gut! Real fun, real laughter, really great time...thats what people say to me when they talk about our wedding and Phil is always a part of that conversation -"Oh God, your DJ, he was a-w-e-s-o-m-e!!!". Honestly, I feel like I can never forget Phil...he made our big day HUGE! I mean, what more can you really want ... photos that make you smile big inside and people that rave months later about what a great DJ, what a great time and how much fun this and that was. Thanks a million Phil! There is no one better! Trust me!

My husband and I had the Specialists be the entertainment service for our wedding. Hands down, they are the BEST in the business! It was the best decision we had made. They were professional, helpful and extremely amazing at their work. I can't thank Phil enough for making my guests enjoy every minute of ourday. He had all our guests on the dance floor ALL night. He Is talented, energetic, and amazing to work with. Another thing that was great was that Phil listened to us, and played exactly what we wanted. We let him do his magic, and sure enough, it was exactly what we were looking for. I will definitely be contacting Phil and his team for future parties-We can't think of anyone else that would do the work that he did. They are absolutely amazing.

The specialists Entertainment Inc, made my wedding a night I will never forget. Every person was dancing the whole night and it was because the music just flowed and was perfect. Phil knew just what time of music that my crowd would enjoy. There was not one song that was not something I wanted. Phil made things so easy for me that night he was easy to work with. He was a very friendly and outgoing person, and that was just what I was looking for. I would not have any other DJ for any of my furture events. Phill will be doing al my sisters weddings, when you know someone is perfect why not have him do it all. Phill was a joy to work for and he really made my day!!!!!

The service was the best I've even experienced. Phil definately brought the party alive. My family typically does not like to get up and dance, so at our family parties, the dance floor is rather empty. Phil was able to get the dance floor at my wedding packed. Afterwards, family members were still ranting and raving about how great the dj was weeks later. Not only was he and excellent dj, but when my husband and I would meet to get everything planned out, Phil made us feel comfortable and like family. I would definately use Phil for any other family party and would highly recommend him to anybody who asks. If you pick Phil, you will not be disappointed at all. He will exceed your expectations.

First of all - I don't know how there's not more reviews of this company. After meeting with a larger, tackier, more expensive DJ company who didn't listen to our wants - we hired Phil on the spot when we met him. I got married on 10/2/10 and Phil, our MC (and the one DJ he brought with him) were UNBELIEVABLE. The dance floor at my reception (The Brick House, NJ) started about one minute after all the formal first dances were over - and did not stop until four hours later. My 150+ guests have been raving about the DJ, how much fun they had, and how they've never been to a wedding like ours. Nobody would sit down - dinner was even served late because nobody would stop dancing (and it's a great restaurant). Phil was great to work with leading up to the wedding - we told him what we did and didn't want played - and we wanted nothing cheesy - just the music, a few lights, and his awesome personality. His energy was palpable from the minute we arrived at The Brick House. The playlist was awesome - such a great mix of a large variety of music - the young and old were partying all night long. Some of my wedding guests are hiring him for their own weddings because they said it was a "no brainer." My mom wants to hire him for whatever big event comes next. I just can't say enough good things about Phil!

Did'nt get to use Phil for my Wedding because I haven't met him yet! But we were fortunate to have him do our son's Baptism! All I can say is that people are still to this day talking about it. He made the party! And if you are expecting kids at your function he is also great at keeping them entertained. He made us feel at ease and we also got to enjoy the party. I highly recommend Phil for any event! His prices are reasonable and he is worth every cent. Wouldn't go to anybody else for DJ's services!

I have known Philip Santos from the Specialists for many years He has done over five affairs for my family ranging from Bar Mitzpha's for my youngest to weddings for my older son and daughter. He has also done my daughter-in-law's mothers wedding and most recent my wedding. My boss attend my wedding and requested The Specialist's to do our office party. They are professional, affordable and will go out of their way to make your day a special one. You will not be disappointed.

Phillip Santos is the best DJ you will find. I had the time of my life on my wedding day and Phill and his team had so much to do with it. Phill and team were actually recommend to me and they have done all of my families parties. The moment I got engaged and was preparing for my wedding I knew that I would need to have Phill as my DJ. My husband and I recommended him to our friend who got married and they were so happy. I would not recommend unless they were really good. They are amazing and fun, but in all very professional. For me I don't know of any other DJ who is better. Phill and Team you are the best!!!!

Where do we start? Phil and his team are truly incredible. To start, they are so kind, so accommodating and so professional. We had some RIDICULOUS old school music and Phil made sure he got every song on our list! He also was so accommodating with our meetings and keeping in touch with us.

He respected our wishes of NO LINE DANCES and NO PROPS. He helped keep the feel of the night up - which we had told him from the beginning - ONE BIG PARTY! He had some really fun things he did that kept the crowd involved, and really just had fun with it all. We really are so pleased and impressed with his & his teams work - we would absolutely (and are) recommend the Specialists Entertainment to anyone.

I've had them provide entertainment for my first daughter's sweet sixteen, a school fundraiser and now they will be entertaining at my youngest daughter's sweet sixteen. We loved this vendor! Philip and a co-worker did our wedding, and they went above and beyond in all ways. Philip kept checking up on us and asking if we needed anything and he would get it done, he was wonderful! They made our wedding a blast, I get compliments on our wedding being the best to this day! I first met Phillip when my family hired him for my Sweet 16. He/they did such a phenomenal job that I hired him again 10 years later for my wedding! It’s hard to explain but Phillip is able to read the crowd and sense exactly what the party needs. Some DJ’s are overkill and some just don’t do enough. The Specialists are the absolute perfect blend and they have made our events truly unforgettable. As a bride I can say that you get so wrapped up in the day and it goes by so quickly. Phillip ran my wedding so smoothly that all I had to worry about was kissing my new husband when everyone would clank their glasses. He even made sure my wine glass was never empty!! Absolute perfection and I would never use anyone else!!!!!

Philip and The Specialists Entertainment were awesome! Our wedding celebration was full of life, music and dancing! I have used many DJ company's in the past for parties, but since I met phil, I will not use anyone else. His equipment is amazing and he always goes out of his way to make your guests happy.
