The Spirit of Hospitality

Bernard Santiago, owner of The Spirit of Hospitality, really disappointed us during our reception. There were several problems and all he did was make excuses and change stories to cover his tail. Bernard will lure you in by acting like your best friend during the initial contract talks. He'll promise the world and underdeliver. Some examples... First, he assured me there would be 5 servers for the reception and he only provided 3. His story changed from "Oh, I guess I'm short" to "Two servers called in sick." No attempts were made to inform myself or my wedding coordinator of the "short" staff. He then shut down my bar service which I paid for 4 continuous hours so the bartender could help the wait staff. My new father in law was pouring his own drinks!! He did not adhere to the agreed upon dinner menu. Items were not prepared as they were during our tasting. Of course, there was always an excuse and it was never his fault. Seriously, I could go on and on. Just typing this review gets my blood boiling all over again. Please, stay away from this caterer.
