The State Club

The State Club is absolutely fantastic! It is a stunningly beautiful venue and the staff is just a dream to work with. I felt like they were just "bending over backwards" to help me and to make sure that everything was just like we wanted. Wendy is just super to work with. She was flexible and accomodating of every request we had. I can't imagine anyone not being thrilled with the outcome if they choose this venue. The food was superb! Todd took care of every detail with this part. We chose a duet plated dinner and I just can't fathom that they served everyone so quickly and that everyone's food was cooked to perfection. I have had unbelievably positive feedback from my guests about the quality of the food. We even had an infant at one table and without being asked, they just catered to their needs. I could not recommend them more highly.

We are sooo happy we chose the State Club for our wedding venue. All of our guests said it was the best food and service they had ever had at a wedding. The venue is very elegant and classy. Wendy (the coordinator) was also AWESOME to work with and catered to all of our needs. If you are considering The State Club for your venue be sure to look into it as soon as you can because they book up well in advance.

The servers/bartenders were great. The food was okay (more salty than I had ever tasted there before). The club administration has no heart. A family member that was going to contribute a significant portion to our wedding reception had to back out at the last minute because of unexpected health expenses. Things happen out of our control, but we our people of faith and believe that the Lord will make a way. Instead of completely cancelling our event, we decided to soldier on and hope to set up a payment plan for the remaining balance. The club instead told us if we don't pay all now that they would send us to collections. They have no heart about our situation, or the fact that we are more than willing to pay them, just not all at once. I sure hope they never find themselves in a financial bind and have people be so unaccommodating. I am cancelling my membership and would never recommend this place to anybody unless you know 100% that nothing will come up and that you don't mind working with people with no compassion. God bless those who work against us. We will rise above.

In Response to the club: You can continue to lie all you want. I know the truth. I am telling everybody that asks me if it is a good idea to get married there.

My daughter and I booked the State Club on April 18,2011 with Wendy providing the deposit for her wedding for May 5,2012. We were reassured by Wendy that we were booked and had contact with her thru email to ask questions thru the following months.On 2-10-12 I sent an email requesting information and later received a call that The State Club was double booked and that my daughter would not be able to have her wedding there. This is 10 months after having it booked and about three months before the wedding. I was given no explanation of when the other person was booked even when I asked for verification. We were offered Sunday but all the venues were booked for Saturday and the church was not available. I never talked to anyone but Wendy.I would have thought someone above her may have contacted us but there seem to be very little concern about our situation. We had to search for a place for the reception 3 months before the wedding. Thank goodness Prestonwood rescued us and it was wonderful. I had seen only good reviews about The State Club so we were so surprised by how we were treated. I still do not know who used The State Club on that day but she must have been very important for the staff to be so dishonest with us. I would not trust The State Club to have my wedding because you may be treated the same way we were if someone more important comes along. I can understand a mistake but not their dishonesty. I know we were booked first and so do they.

This reception was so nice, the food so good, the place so beautiful, the staff so wonderful that I felt like we had just dined at the White House!!! More value for your money over any place else. People are still talking about the food.

Wendy was a phenomenal help for planning my reception at the State Club. Everytime we met with her we walked away feeling completely at ease that everything would be handled and taken care of. She always responded right away and gave me all of her contact information the week before in case I had any last minute issues/questions. She offered ideas and really guided us through the whole planning process. And she knows her stuff because everything looked fantastic!

The day of the wedding was amazing. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the gorgeous bridal suite. TSC was nice to set up a table for the lunch and champage we brought and had water and glasses ready for us. We had lots of complements about the food and how gorgeous the entire event was. Everything went smoothly and Wendy was there when you needed her but made herself scarce when needed too (the mark of a great coordinator!). I had an amazing time and didn't have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding.

There were a few hiccups - the band jumpstarted the cake (no biggie, we adapted), my fiance and I weren't centered at the headtable behind our centerpiece (I had too much fun to care). But to be honest, that stuff happens and it doesn't make a difference in the end. We feel like the bar tab was a little high and they ran out of our cocktails during the cocktail hour, but that's our only true complaint (apparently our guests enjoyed the cocktails!). We wouldn't change a thing about the venue or the night.

I was very happy with every aspect of the reception! Wendy was WONDERFUL to work with. She was very reliable, patient and organized. The food and service were amazing and the whole night was fabulous!! I would not have changed anything.

The State Club was the perfect location for us to have our wedding reception. We could not be happier with how everything turned out. Wendy and her staff were phenomenal in the planning process. I had a lot of specific ideas for the reception and Wendy was very detail-oriented and executed them perfectly. They made the wedding day and reception flow smoothly and took care of our every need.

Every person that I have talked to after our wedding was so impressed by the building and staff's attentiveness. Everything... the food, drinks, service, etc, was wonderful. We are so thankful that we chose TSC for our wedding!

One word describes Wendy - AMAZING!!! Having our wedding at The State Club was an absolute dream. We could not have dreamed of a more wonderful venue. The location was absolutely gorgous and decked out in christmas decorations. Wendy was the best event coordinator, she walked us through all of our options and was fully available during the whole planning process. People are still talking about how awesome the reception was 7 months after the event.

I've worked with Wendy and her team on several occasions. They are extremely organized, personable, hard working and as professional as it gets! The property is breathtakingly beautiful! Those spiral staircases when you first walk in the door take your breath away every time! They are very highly recommended!

When luxury and attention to detail matters most for your event, The State Club is THE PLACE!! Top shelf, all the way, from start to finish. Highly recommended!!

We have been working with Wendy at the State Club since it opened. This is a gorgeous venue and the room always looks perfect. Their service is top notch and we highly recommend this venue for weddings!
