The Sweetest Things

Lisa succeeds in doing the impossible...she makes a beautiful cake that actually tastes good. Wedding cake in general is known for looking pretty but tasting not so great. Lisa's cakes are DELICIOUS. Typically fondant tastes like cardboard. The fondant she uses is actually my favorite part of her cakes. It's so good! My cake looked gorgeous and I received so many compliments on it. Love, love, love The Sweetest Things!

I was amazed with how beautiful my wedding cake looked! Lisa goes above and beyond to make sure her brides are happy! She was the only one who was willing to customize our wedding cake to fit our cake toppers! all other bakers and bakeries turned us away but Lisa took on the challenge and made it so beautiful! I loved my cake! Not only did my cake look beautiful but it tasted HEAVENLY! It was so moist and melted in your mouth! I just loved it, I am so looking forward to my anniversary cake she will be giving us! Lisa does not make you freeze your small top cake for a year to eat it on your anniversary she makes you a new anniversary cake ! :) im very excited for that!

Also to my surprise Lisa was on my makeup artist team! she not only makes amazing cakes but she does amazing makeup! i loved they way my brides maids looked after they walked away from her chair! she is a very talented woman!

I will definitely being using Lisa in the future for all my cake needs :)

The cake looked and tasted amazing, but it was a bit of a hassel getting it. Any decoration you want on the cake (we had ribbon) must be purchased by the bride and groom and mailed to the bakery. They also wanted us to mail our cake topper, but we refused to do that and had it waiting at the reception. The bakery also does not do tastings, we had to buy 3 small cakes with the cake and filling we wanted to try. That was kind of weird. I will say the cake looked exactly like the picture I sent in and tasted pretty good too.

Lisa goes above and beyond for her customers. She drove out to our area to meet us with cake samples--having woken up at 4 that morning to make them fresh. Her cakes are made from scratch with the basics--and without unneccessary additives. They are moist and tasty, with a variety of flavors.

We opted to order individual rounds--which saved us several hundred dollars. But her tiered cakes are equally wallet-friendly. I would highly recommend her, and plan on ordering from her in the future...for birthdays. Not planning on getting married again... :)

She did a wonderful job on my wedding cake. It looks exactly like the picture but she forgot that I wanted purple in the cake so the cake came out all white like the picture. She was very flexible as a mobile bakery and came to you.

Lisa's cakes are amazing. I was at a wedding where she did the cake. Just standing near the cake was yummy. I could smell the goodness! She was unable to do our wedding cake. But I would have hired her in a minute!

We had a rather nice and rather beautiful wedding cake custom created for our wedding by The Sweetest Things. Lisa was a wonderful person who worked with us in all aspects of creating a wonderful wedding cake for us. She did marvelous work for us. The cake she made for us tasted great and was really moist and delicious. I couldn’t believe on how much work she put into the wedding cake as it really shown as the cake was something real special that I was afraid to have the wedding cake cut as it was beautiful and was more like an art piece.

After looking for a bakery to do our wedding cake we found the contact information on The Sweetest Things. We gave them a phone call and they were generous enough to make a last minute consultation for the same day for us. We went in and we saw and actually got to try a few different samples of the cakes they had which was something different. We ended up choosing them for the wedding cake and also the delicious truffles that they made too. The cake tasted great and it was what we thought it would be.

Unfortunately I discovered the Sweetest Things after my wedding, but she has done a shower cake and a baptism cake for me. Her fondant is so good (I don't usually eat the fondant) and she goes out of her way to help you explore your options...I never have a clue what I want until after I get off the phone with her. At the shower, EVERY SINGLE PERSON had a slice of her breathtaking cake! I've never been to an event where not one person said no to cake!
