I am very picky when it comes to hiring a photographer, so prior to hiring Daria for my portrait/portfolio session, I observed her work over a period of time at different events and asked a few of her clients about her work. Her eye is artistic and she uses light and contrasts very well. She looks for a story or statement in every shot. After agreeing on a price, she took the time to investigate places for my shoot and upon settling on a location, we scheduled the shoot.
During the shoot she proved most patient and was able to capture everything I want to convey with the set of pictures despite me being a difficult subject. Turnaround time was super! Within a couple days of the shoot, I had the proofs and approved the shots I wanted.

Daria is a fantastic photographer. Her artistic sensibility married with a photojournalist's eye made for unusual, meaningful photos. We did miss a few shots we would have liked - so with Daria - if you are funny about that stuff - just make sure you give her strict instructions about want - because her eye and talent might just take her to a different shot instead :) We loved what we got and have learned to be more specific for the future so we get ALL the shots we need. I would certainly hire her again. The images simply were beautiful!!!
