The Wedding Bell was the third dress store I had visited. I had already tried on 4-5 dresses at other places and was already dreading going again. I knew what I wanted but wasn't finding anything and started to feel discouraged.
My appointment was today, and I have to say I am so happy. My consultant, Shawna did an outstanding job. She listened to ALL the thing I was looking for in a dress. I told her I was worried because I am so picky. Never once was she pushy or persistent.
She was beyond thoughtful when pulling dresses for me, and chose dresses very similar to some of the pictures I had shown her. She clearly was doing a fantastic job, as other consultants kept peeking in our room to borrow dresses she had pulled! Shawna mentioned she had only been there for around 2 months, but you'd never be able to tell..... She seemed to have so much knowledge- and I'm blown away at how amazing my experience was. I had to tell her that I wasn't excited about dress shopping and was dreading the appointment before I got there.
I feel that the entire staff today was great, and very friendly. Aside from that, I loved Shawna as my consultant. It was the absolute best experience I have had with any I my vendors so far. I also appreciate how in contact the owner, Kim is with we store. I was able to make an appointment via email in less than an hour the same day!
Absolutely LOVE the wedding bell & can't wait to see my dress after alterations! I would most definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a special occasion outfit :).

I would never recommend this store to anybody..the people there definitely does not have any regards or consideration with mankind and is all just about making money..they will do everything in their power just to get money from you..will even blatantly lie about the things they previously said because it was never written..all they care about is that they have this contract in stone that they can use against you..no matter what the circumstances are..bad customer service for sure..cause a real business will definitely look at certain circumstances..

Faith - As I have explained to you and your friends, when you sign an all sales final contract, it is all sales final. You signed three different places that you understood this was an all sales final transaction. I'm sorry that you are upset, but I really don't know what else to say at this point. - Kim

I bought a sample dress and loved the dress so much! They did not rush me during the decision time, and let me jump back and forth between dresses. They were very sweet. The only thing I did not like was the alteration lady. Although she was nice, I did not think she was professional. She poked herself with a needle while pinning me, and instead of putting a bandage right away, she just kept going and bled ON the dress!! How annoying.
The alteration is at their sister store, but the Wedding Bell is very professional, very kind, and have great selection of...

How terrible are the girls at The Wedding Bell! I walked in to browse and get more information about the wedding gown process, and the girls were absolutely vicious! Immediately when I walked in the were very judgmental and rude, stating that if didn't have an appointment I wasn't welcome to try on dresses and work with a consultant. One blonde gal very rudely told me that I would need to make an appointment to come back, and at that they had a closed inventory so I wouldn't be allowed to look at or pick the dresses out anyway. I felt so embarrassed and attacked that I just left without even giving my information or trying to set up an appointment. Why would I want to go back to a place that made me feel so insignificant and unworthy? Ladies beware of this store, I wouldn't waste a dime in there.
Vendor response to review
Please send me an email at info@theweddingbell.com with details. Your experience is out of character for our store. We do work by appointment, but will take walk-ins if we are not fully booked. We obviously can't divert a consultant away from a bride who did make an appointment. The only blonde girl that works for me is one of the sweetest consultants on the planet, so I want to know what day you were in and what was said.

This is a store I probably would never have entered if not for the recommendations of friends (they always have the goofiest window displays), but I'm so glad I did. From my first shopping trip to my final (and second final!) fitting, everyone I worked with was friendly, helpful and gracious. They were very respectful of my budget - I told them I wanted to keep it under $2,000, and I think the most expensive dress they showed me was $1,500. They were also wonderful after what was supposed to be my final fitting, when we discovered that I'd accidentally dropped a dress size during the stress of wedding planning. We had only a week until my wedding, but they pulled out all the stops to take the dress in even more, and did not charge me for the second set of alterations. Fantastic service. A+!

I loved my dress, I loved how much help they were to me fitting me. There was no pressure I felt like Cinderella.
I did check out a couple of other places who made me feel uncomfortable and rushed. Appointments were easy and they have lots to choose from.
I wasn't sure at all what style would suit me as I really do not wear dresses much but they made me look like a celebrity bride. Thank...

I received a communication via another wedding website regarding The Wedding Bell's $99 wedding dress clearance sale about 9 months prior to our wedding. The 'event' was first-come, first-serve so I grab a few girlfriends and decided to go see what they had to offer. The shop wasn't overly crowded, the staff was wonderful and attentive and I never felt overwhelmed or pressured. Luckily, I found my dress at an EXTREMELY discounted rate and purchased it that day.

I LOVED my dress shop! These ladies were fantastic in helping me find "the dress" and making sure it was made exactly how I wanted it. I was a little worried at first because when I had made my first appointment someone there didn't write me down on the schedule, but when I showed up (to their surprise) they quickly made me and my entourage feel welcome and helped me into as many dresses as we could manage in the time we had before the next appointment. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else to get your dress! And their seamstress was amazing! A+++++

Although at the beginning we had an issue with sizing, the ladies at the wedding bell made everything right with plenty of time and even did a last minute fitting to lengthen the dress a bit for my extremely tall shoes! I loved the dress and the ladies there! I would recommend them for sure!!

I purchased my wedding dress from The Wedding Bell and I'm so glad I went to them. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I bought their floor model dress and because it was a Sottero and Midgely dress, I couldn't get a discount on purchasing the floor model. Instead, they gave me a $200 accessory credit so I was able to get my veil for free! I had to order my veil and the staff were always very responsive when I called regarding the status of my order. They have a wide variety of dresses and I spent almost 2 hours with them looking for the right dress and never felt pressured to buy anything I wasn't in love with. Love this place!!

I enjoyed my experience with the Wedding Bell. My consultant was very nice and asked me privately what my budget was then only brought out dresses that worked within my budget. I really appreciated that. My consultant (I wish I could remember her name right now!) was very sweet and helpful. I found a dress that I loved but she did not pressure me to purchase it right then. I wanted to think on it because the Wedding Bell was the first place I had gone to try on dresses and I since I had my bridal party and mother with me I was feeling overwhelmed and didn't want to make a rash decision. Turns out that dress was the only one I could think about and after returning a week or two later I made the decision to buy it. The price was reasonable however I would probably use a different tailor than The
Wedding Bell Tres Chic down the street in the future only due to price; the 8 points on my bustle and a couple of other adjustments that were pretty minor ended up costing me over $500.00 and my bustle pulled out halfway through the reception.

Ive never had a better experience than this bridal store.
The owner Kim goes above and beyond.
When I first was thinking about looking for dresses I came into the store, however I wasnt looking forward to trying on dresses since I had just had my baby. Kim, the owner offered to come in when the store was closed and provide me with a private experience. That was only the first wonderful thing she did.
Second, she ask for pictures of my dream dress. When I arrived, she had chosen 10+ dresses that fit that bill. I loved them all and chose my dress that day.
Third, she offered to send them to me in California when they arrived. I just recently moved from WA to CA.
Fourth, she helped me find the best bridesmaid dresses ever! The perfect color and fabric and spent countless hours coordinating everything for myself and my wedding party.
Since my selection of dresses she had been in contact with me often to check in on me.She is so quick with email and always available to answer questions.
Never mind that she lives in another state, she has STELLAR COMMUNICATION.
I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS PLACE IN A HEARTBEAT!!!
This is the best bridal store in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the initial appointment we were a few minutes early (maybe 5-10) and they seated us and then ignored us for half an hour because the previous appointment was running behind. My consultant got there and when i told her what I was looking for, she pulled some things that were what I told her I DID NOT want: ballgowns and a crinoline..I said nothing poofy. My Maid of Honor pulled a dress that was near PERFECT, and then the consultant got it and pulled the gown I ultimately bought. If I had not been in love with the dress, I would not have bought there. Also...No one ever measured me, and I'm not a gal who can wear things off the rack.
Then on my first fitting I was a little shocked when I got an initial estimate of over $600 to do the needed alterations. (it had to be taken in and the sample had fit better.) Then the next fitting the Seamstress (who did a really good job on the alterations!!)informed me that they would be adding another $300! I was very angry, brought up that I hadn't been measures, had tried to keep my weight steady. we went to the main store and told the lady at the desk what had happened. Within an hour I had an e-mail from the owner who ultimately brought the alterations back to the initial estimate cost, and was very responsive, so Kudos to Kim for being a wonderful, responsible, reasonable shop owner!

I couldn't have found a better place to get my wedding dress than The Wedding Bell. I tried on probably 30 dresses before ever going there and felt pretty lukewarm about all of them. The consultants at The Wedding Bell were really helpful and forced me to try some dresses on that I wouldn't have necessarily chosen for myself. One of those dresses ended up being "the dress." There was a bit of a snag after the dress came in because the consultant that I had worked with didn't measure me and recommended the wrong size. She had since been let go for that reason but the staff was very understanding and they comped the alterations needed to take the dress out a bit which I thought was very nice of them.
Due to some family health problems, we had to move the wedding up by a year and The Wedding Bell staff were also sweet enough to wave the rush fee because of the circumstances.
The dress looked amazing and nothing like I had seen online. They have a lot more unique designs and are very good about only grabbing dresses within the budget. If you haven't found a dress that really suits your fancy, try The Wedding Bell. You'll be hard pressed to leave empty...

The Wedding Bell, was a great place to find my wedding dress. I had been to a few other places and just didn't seem to get the help to find a dress. Amanda at the Wedding Belle, I described the kind of dress I was looking for. She pulled some dresses, all looked great but then there was the one that looked perfect! It was a floor model and it fit perfect, so I was able to get a discount! Thank you Amanda and The Wedding Belle.
Yes I already did recomend this place to a friend who was getting married and she bought her dress there too.

I tried a few different shops before going to The Wedding Bell, and I thought that their professionalism and the atmosphere of the shop itself were hands down the best. I found my dress at my first fitting here, and got a pretty good deal on it. That being said, the sales people here really know how to make a sale, and because I am someone who has a VERY hard time making decisions, I did feel a little bit pushed to make a decision that I wasn't 100% sure of.
Also, the promised follow-up to help me find a seamstress never happened, even though I actually called at one point to remind them that I was waiting for them to get me some recommendations. In the end, I found a seamstress on my own so it wasn't a big deal, but just something to be aware of. They finally did get back with me and were very apologetic, so I think it was just a fluke thing.
I would recommend this shop, but because you must rely on your sales person to bring you the dresses (I couldn't browse the rack like at other shops!) I would advise walking in with a very clear description of what you want, and what you are willing to compromise on as far as style, to help make the decision making process easier.

As a plus size bride, I was very worried about my wedding dress shopping experience. I was afraid that a time that was supposed to be magical and fun-filled was going to be disappointing and embarrassing as I might not be able to try on the dresses I wanted. So after doing a lot of research, I decided to make my first stop the Wedding Bell in Tacoma, and I am so glad I did!
Their staff made me feel at ease right away, and I had a huge selection from my favorite designers to choose from and try on. More than that, the owner, Kim, was amazing and contacted the designer directly for me to make sure I could get the custom changes to the dress that I wanted in time for my wedding and in my budget! I couldn't be happier with my entire experience, I felt gorgeous in my gown and I felt like I got to have a wonderful bridal experience with The Wedding Bell. THANK YOU!

I drove up from Portland to Tacoma in search for a dress I had found at a boutique in Portland. I wanted a cheaper version of the dress. They did have it, and it was cheaper, but we figured that with driving back and fourth it would end up being about the same amount. So I tired on different dresses to see what I could find. I ended up finding a similar one for way cheaper. Danielle the lady that helped me was awesome. She didn't seem in a hurry, and just wanted to get me into a dress that I loved! They had a great deal going that if we paid for the dress in full right then that I would get 50 bucks off my veil and a free rehersal dinner dress for up to $200! So we did that! They told me that my dress was going to be available for pick up at the end of November. I was pleasantly suprised when I got an email from the owner that my dress was available at the end of October!
When I picked it up, it didn't quite fit me right it was too small, so I had to take it in to get it altered which was fine, but overall it was a pretty good experience.

The Wedding Bell was great to work with during the stressful time of Wedding Dress shopping. I met with Ashley (manager of the store) and she was AMAZING! I went to many other bridal stores and nothing compared to the service I received at The Wedding Bell. Ashley helped me find my dream dress and did not pressure me once into buying. It is wonderful that they offer in store financing and storage for my dress until I need it :)
I am very happy that I chose to purchase my dress at The Wedding Bell!

During my first visit, Ashley was super helpful in narrowing the choices for a wedding dress keeping in mind my preferences and body shape. She was also great about respecting my dress budget although I did choose to spend more than my budget in the end. I tried on a sample size 12 which was too big but perfect in length. Ashley recommended that I order a size 10 which would fit closer to my size thus requiring fewer alterations.
Fast forward to the date my dress came in. I went to try it on and the girl could barely zip it up. Apparently a size 10 was too small and because it was too small it sat high on my body making it about 3 inches too short. With 4.5 months to the wedding it was too late to re-order a size 12 (and I was NOT going to pay the additional restocking and rush fee PLUS alterations). With no other option than buying another dress, I took the dress home with the thought that losing weight and some alterations would help. With no additional budget for alterations, this was super frustrating.
After discussing with Ashley that I was unhappy with the dress, she recommended that I take it to one of their preferred seamstresses. I was hoping that the store would recognize that they measured me wrong, ordered the wrong size or something, but no. I was on my own to figure out how to make the dress work.
I got my butt into shape, lost a few pounds and $300 in alterations later, the dress fit. I had the seamstress take measurements and compare them to my initial measurements at the store. Long story short, the Wedding Belle measured me incorrectly and should have recommended I order the size 12. This would have resulted in less alterations and hassle from the start.
The dress looked great but for the price I paid along with the alterations, it was not worth it. I am selling the dress in order to recoup some of the costs.
I would definitely recommend that you go to the Wedding Belle try on dresses to see what's available and what looks best on you but I would not recommend that you buy one.
Vendor response to review
I'm sorry for my delay in responding to this. I am confused by this. You said that you tried on the sz 12 we had in stock and that it was too big when you purchased. We did take measurements, and we measure by two different consultants to eliiminate mistakes. We do provide advice on sizing, but the final decision is up to you as far as size ordered. Based on what you have stated, a sz 10 would be in line for us to recommend, but, again, the final decision is up to you and is clearly stated on your contract. Normal alterations for bridal gowns do range from $250-500, so $300 in alterations is about what is expected. Please contact me at info@theweddingbellbride.com if you would like to discuss this further.

Be aware they do have special deals that apply only to the first day you are there, so do not go to this store first. Their deals were really good on some of the dresses, but the decision had to be made by the end of that business day.
The women were very helpful and professional, doing a better job with getting gowns on and clipped than anyone else. Plus, they listened to me and responded with appropriate changes in type of gown to try on.

I went The Wedding Bell after trying on 35+ gowns but never feeling like a bride. I worked with Ashley, who was wonderful and spent a good amount of time asking me about my wedding, what I like, don't like and made my Mom feel comfortable as well. Ashley found a variety of gowns and showed me how to make them my own with beading and bling. She found a beautiful Aire Barcelona gown for me that was beautiful but needed a little special something. She then showed me a georgous Essence of Australia belt that could be sewn into it AND a cool vintage-inspired head-peice in lieu of a veil. The look altogether was perfect!
We also got the bridesmaid dresses there and Ashley helped me choose some options that would compliment all figures so my girls could all choose a different dress. Jessie coordinated with all the girls who were scattered across the state, in Indiana, and Canada! Anytime we had a question or needed some advice, Ashley or Jessie would immediately respond. My gown and the girls dresses even came in early! Everything fit well and the girls were very happy with their selections :)
I would recommend The Wedding Bell to anyone. The ladies are fantastic, the shop is cute, and the selection great!

My experience so far looking for "THE DRESS" Has been an experience. I feel like I have search every where, one of my friends bought their gowns from The Wedding Bell in Tacoma so I thought I would give it a shot. I scheduled my appointment with them, when I arrived their staff was nothing but attentive and sweet. Each one of them helped me in deciding between all of the different gowns they have in their store. Not only did they care they helped. I had no idea about all of the different styles and gowns that are out there until I came to the Wedding Bell! They have such a great selection and for great prices! I haven't purchased yet but I definitely will be and recommend them to anyone!

I went to this store as a recommendation from my sister in law to shop for bridesmaid dresses. This is where she bought hers. My only complaint is the dresses that I wanted to see from the website many of them were not sold at the store anymore, which really bummed me out. I ended up buying better one's for my ladies that I could never imagine finding, but if you have something on your website you should have it in the store. My salesperson, Jessica, was AMAZING! So helpful. My only other concern is the fact they do not do in house seamstressing. My ladies had to go find their own tailors and some got theirs fixed and some didn't depending on their budget. That was the only thing that frustrated me, but it worked out since my ladies were all over the state they didn't have to drive over :) This place has a HUGE selection of dresses at all price points so I do recommend this.

All the staff at the Wedding bell are extremely nice and very helpful. The atmosphere at the Wedding bell is classy yet relaxed. It was such a breath of fresh air after having a terrible experience at Weddings With Joy in Lacey, where the staff was pushy and generally unfriendly. Ashley Taylor was fabulous, not only while purchasing my dress, but after as well. She helped us problem solve to find the right ivory colored shirts for the groomsmen (which was a nightmare b/c so many are yellow not cream ivory) and even let me bounce ideas off of her about our wedding decor and what type of bridal wrap I should wear! It was so nice to know I had someone who would help me without hesitation. I would definitely recommend this bridal boutique to any bride to be!!

As an out of state bride I had only one day to search for a dress with my mother and sister. I wanted to find “the dress” but I also wanted to have a good time doing it. I chose Wedding Bell Bride because of all the great reviews I read online, but I admit it, I still wondered if I would eventually have to go to an expensive salon in Seattle to get the shopping experience I wanted. Well, the reviews were right. The customer service at this shop surpassed my expectations. The experience was great and the consultants know their stuff. They quickly led us in the right direction, were very patient and found me a dress that made me feel more like a bride than I thought I could at 40. The dress is everything I could want, the price was very reasonable; they covered everything I needed to complete the outfit and made the entire experience a pleasure. This shop is a true gem!

I had the best experience at the Wedding Bell. I told them how much I wanted to spend and what I wanted my dress to look like. I picked out a few and they picked out a few. I tried on three dresses and loved every single one of them. Two of the ones I loved were ones that the girls picked out for me. Looking at pictures makes me love my dress even more!!! It was beautiful and a pretty good price.

This review is a bit overdue. I ended up buying my dress off the sales floor and ordering a veil in November of 2009, my wedding was August 2010. Prior to arriving, I didn't know they were also having a sale. Bonus! I got a discount on accessories too!
They do not have in-house alterations, but they recommended Beth Parks to me. I second this recommendation! Beth works magic with dresses.
I had already been to 2 other bridal shops, and lets just say I couldn't get out of those stores fast enough. The Wedding Bell was far beyond my expectations. A friend actually recommended the place, she didn't end up finding her dress there but had great things to say about it.
I believe my appointment was set to be with Jessie, both she and Ashley (Manager) ended up helping me. They pretty much picked the dresses for me to try on because I had no clue what I wanted anymore. I surrendered to their expertise and I'm glad I did. I went through the aisles with my mom and maid of honor and said "no" to every suggestion and I doubted that I'd look good in the dresses I actually liked. The dress I ended up with was the one I really loved on the hanger, but doubted I could pull off. Everyone else knew when I walked out of the dressing room that it was "the one." I was afraid to finally pick a dress, but I was so happy with my choice. The ladies were so sweet, helpful and patient! I had a great experience here and it was well worth the 30 mile drive it took to get me there!

I found the dress of my dreams at the Wedding Bell...and it was the first one I tried on! I wish I could remember the name of my consultant...she was awesome! I think it's Danielle, because that was the employee name on my receipt. Go Danielle! She must be magic...she pulled my dream dress before I even found it!
The one gripe I have about the Wedding Bell is that the rest of the staff and especially the manager never seem to be very friendly when I walk in. I can't explain it, but the vibe I get when I walk in is that I'm taking up their time, which is unfortunate. I would give Danielle all 5's, and the rest of the staff 3's, so I averaged it out.

Love the atmosphere, love the history, love the store decor and selection. The service I received, however, was beyond UNACCEPTABLE.
I never write reviews when feeling like an aggrieved customer, but because I felt that proper reparations were not made I thought I would share my story...
I went into the store on the week of Christmas when I was home for the holidays to finalize my wedding dress selection with my mom. The girl I was working with was very helpful, courteous, polite, and seemed to know what she was doing... Fast forward four and a half months... April rolls around... My dress arrives... We pick it up and go to their recommended tailor.
THE DRESS WAS FIVE INCHES TOO SHORT.
I'm 5'6", thin, and a pretty "typical" wedding dress size (6). The employee who placed my order, it turns out, not only ordered the wrong size but also neglected to mention that the dress required 'extra length' be added. There was no hem to be let out, and with three months until my wedding it was unlikely to be able to make this dress--the one that I searched for over a year for--work. My mom told me to get new shoes so the dress would be the 'correct' length.
They were LOUBOUTINS. Not.a.chance.mom.
We took the dress back to the store, told them the situation, they apologized and expedited another dress--same style, etc.--and it arrived in time for my next scheduled fitting. They measured the dress. Same length. How do they not know the products they sell better than this?
I got a call, from the store owner, while I was in the airport in Atlanta on my way to Tennessee for a business trip letting me know the situation and that I had AN HOUR AND A HALF to make a decision if I wanted to order a new dress with 'extra length' because she had to place the order the same day in order to make sure that the new dress would arrive ONE WEEK before my wedding. I was thinking "is this a joke? clearly she knows tailoring, accessorizing, etc. take longer than a week."
Unacceptable, she SHOULD have taken care of the situation, expedited the new dress without cost to me as soon as possible. I cried, and ended up going back to the store THREE MONTHS before my wedding to try on new dress styles that I could buy 'off the rack' because of THEIR mistake. As it turns out that girl who helped me? Went back to school and no longer works there.
Fast forward to the wedding... I ended up adding yards of tulle under my dress to make up for the 4 inch gap between the hem and the floor. This cost me several hundred dollars in materials and alterations. That the store owner never once apologized for this inconvenience and utter lack of disregard for the "magic" of the wedding dress is appalling.
I would not recommend this store to anyone. Not to say mistakes aren't made, and flukes don't happen, but the way I feel about the customer service (owning a retail business myself) makes this unconscionable.
Not to mention the color of the flower on my flower girl's dress was changed in the process (they said by the manufacturer) and they basically told me to deal with it, or go buy a new one somewhere else. These are things that need to be considered when operating a wedding dress store!
Vendor response to review
Sarah - I am completely baffled by this review. When you originally tried on dresses at our store, you tried on a sz 10 sample (which is going to be a little longer than the size that we ordered for you). When you called us originally about the issue, I thought that the dress possibly had a manufacturing defect based on our phone discussion. I quickly ordered the dress that they had in stock, because there was only one left. Your dress was at the seamstress', so I could not personally look at it before I ordered the second dress. I wanted to be safe. It was only when the second dress came in less than one week later that I realized that there was not a defect and that something else was going on. You did not relay to my consultant that you were wearing extremely high heels, but it is something that she should have asked you about when you ordered. I immediately got on the phone with the designer to see what we could do to get you a custom length dress. Yes, I did have to call you while you were on your business trip with only 1 1/2 hours to get back to them, because that was our only option. That was me paying for rush cuts and rush shipment, and I made this very clear to you when we spoke. There was nothing else I could do at that point. You decided that it was cutting it too close to your wedding, and I honestly don't blame you for that. I did offer to work with you to select another dress or get a refund. My manager met you and your mother on a Sunday right away, and I have emails from both of you that it was a wonderful visit and thanked her and me for doing our best to help you. You decided to stay with your dress, but I gave you as many options as I possibly could give you and worked with you on the best possible solution under the circumstances. I apologized to you multiple times, and I checked in with you multiple times. As far as the flower girl dress is concerned, it was ordered by the girl's mother. I verified the color and size with her multiple times before it was ordered. It came in exactly per the signed contract on May 24th, and it was not picked up until July. You brought it back to the store on July 22nd and said that you wanted white (even though that is not what is ordered and had already been delivered to you). Even though it was against the contract, I let you exchange it out for a white dress that was in stock, because there was no time to order another one.

My Brides maid dresses and jewelry were purchased at the Wedding Bell. The service at the initial visit was great. When the promised date came I called to see if the dresses were in and I sort got the run around on the estimated date of arrival. Finally the dresses did arrive just in time for alterations to be done on them but I was told that the jewelry had been discontinued that I had ordered more than ten weeks prior. I spoke to the manger and she did make the situation right in the end I just wish that they had better communication from the start. I had purchased a gown for a formal charity event and had no problems.

Overall, my experience at the wedding bell was great! When I first went to try on bridal gowns, the staff members were so helpful and flexible in helping me find just the right dress. The staff members were really nice and created a fun experience for me and my family members. While all the consultants I worked with were great, it seems there has been a lot of turn over in the staff members, because I was paired with a different consultant almost every time I had an appointment. I love that The Wedding Bell is a local store and the quality of the dresses is outstanding! They usually have great promotions to offer and I was able to purchase an accessory package that allowed me to save a lot of money on my shoes, jewelry, veil, and gave my bridesmaids a great discount on their dresses.

Unfortunately I didn't purchase my wedding dress with The Wedding Bell, but I wish I had! When I went there to look for bridesmaid dresses they were very helpful - I wanted silver dresses and did not want them to look grey. My consultant, Jessie, was able to point me to a fabric that would do exactly what I wanted. She was also very confident that I would love a style that, to be honest, looked not-so-great on the hanger... but it was amazing on my girls! I guess she knows her dresses :) The whole ordering process was very easy -- be aware though, dresses here (as with anywhere else of the same quality) take a while to come in after you order them, so be proactive and get on the bridesmaid dress hunt sooner rather than later! Overall I had an amazing experience at The Wedding Bell and I would definitely (and already have) recommend looking for dresses - wedding, bridesmaids, or even prom - here as there service was great!

Thank you! I will pass this on to Jessie. Let us know if you need anything at all.

The girls at The Wedding Bell were helpful while trying to find my wedding dress. I had been to practically every Seattle area dress store, but I found my perfect dress at The Wedding Bell! Everyone who works there is friendly and want to make you happy. I thought my dress was a little expensive but in retrospect, everything related to weddings was expensive! Good job Wedding Bell!

I did not purchase any clothing from The Wedding Bell, but I got a few wedding accessories from them. They had a nice selection of accessories (flower girl baskets, bridesmaids gifts, etc.) that I was unable to find anywhere else. However, the service was not always top-notch and I found some of their things to be overpriced. Overall, though, the uniqueness of their inventory made it worth the stop.

The Wedding Bell was the first place that I went to try on dresses after I got engaged. I tried on quite a few dresses and there was one in particular that stood out above all the rest. I fell in love with it and really liked how it felt and looked on me. I decided to shop around and see what else was available at other stores. After going to four other stores I knew that nothing else compared to what I had found at the Wedding Bell. It is definitely the perfect little shop to find your perfect wedding gown for your perfect day!

While I was deciding on a dress all of the sales associates were very kind and helpful. The dress was beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. They were very professional and got my dress to me on time! However, the alterations were not done when we had originally planned, and after the wedding was over they did try to collect more money from us that we did now owe. Other than the money issue, they were very nice and easy to work with.

The Wedding Bell does not do in-house alterations, therefore, we can't be held responsible for alterations not being completed on time. She will need to take this up with the seamstress. Unfortunately, there was fabric and lace that was not paid for. It was our mistake for releasing it to this client without payment.

I purchased my gown from The Wedding Bell. They have great selection for incredible prices. I think I would have rated them 5 stars across the board if their seamstress (Beth, who is amazing) hadn't left the shop to do alterations from her home exclusively. This wouldn't have been an issue, but I had my first fitting in the shop and then when I was trying to schedule my 2nd and last fitting, it was like pulling teeth to get anyone to call me back or tell me where my dress was. I finally got a hold of Beth who finished up my fittings from her home. She is amazing. If you need alterations done, you should look her up. My dress fit like a glove.

My first visit to The Wedding Bell was absolutely amazing! My mom and I had been shopping all day and when we got to The Wedding Bell they were just about to close but the owner was extremely nice and let us come in to look. I found my perfect dress in the back and found out it was on sale! It was completely meant to be and the owner made our experience memorable. The second, third, and fourth time we came in we were helped by a younger girl and she was very rude and not helpful. She acted as though even the fact that we were there was annoying her. When we came to pick up the wedding dress, veil, and bridesmaid dresses she claimed that we had not paid for the veil and that we could not leave the store without repaying. We were in a time crunch to get to the fitting so we paid a second time for the veil. Luckily, we called and talked with the owner and she straightened everything out and gave us a refund on the veil which when charged a second time was not even the correct price. I would recommend The Wedding Bell only if the owner is there.

My employee made a mistake, and I know she did not mean to come across as rude. The mistake was quickly corrected, and I called to apologize right away. Again, I apologize for the error.

My experience at the Wedding Bell was pretty close to perfect! The dresses are top quality for fair prices. The sales people were very helpful and accomodating to everything that came up during the process. We bought my wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, my mom's dress, and accessories from the Wedding Bell. It was great to be able to get everything in one place.

I went to Demetrios Bridal, David's Bridal, and The Wedding Bell in search of my perfect wedding gown, and I can say hands down that The Wedding Bell blew the other two completely out of the water. Not only were most od the dresses extremely reasonable in price (and you're getting high quality pieces for your money), but the staff were so patient as I tried literally every gown in the store on, and were just as excited as I was when I found "the one." They made me feel beautiful even though I did not fit in hardly any of their sample sizes, and helped me to not feel insecure trying things on! They were very prompt in informing me when the dress came in, and I got a fantastic deal on it! (Go after the bridal expo, they have great coupons) The woman who owns the shop and does the alterations, Beth, is a little bit pricey (my alterations were more than my gown, but I lost a significant amount of weight, so that was kind of expected) but she does absolutely GORGEOUS work. She took my dress down nearly two sizes and you never would have been able to tell! She cares tremendously about how you look when you walk down the aisle, and has no problems doing multiple fittings and alterations to ensure that everything looks perfect on your big day. It was worth absolutely every penny to have her taking care of everything. Yes, you do have to go to her house to pick up your dress, but only if it's during the peak of wedding season. She cares so much about doing a good job on the alterations that she does them full time at her house during June. To top it all off, when I came back from honeymoon, I received a thank you card from them. Now that's what I call great service!

Thanks for the wonderful comments! Just to clarify, though, the alterations person is not associated with The Wedding Bell at all. She is the former owner, and it was purchased nearly three years ago by me.

I love my dress! The people at the shop were very kind and helpful. Best of all they were not pushy and gave me the time I needed to decide on a dress! They never made me feel pressured or rushed. I would recommend them to anyone

I totally loved going to The Wedding Bell in Tacoma, WA right on historic 6th Ave. Kim, the shop owner, had me excited and eager to try on dresses. I spent time trying on countless dresses while others waited on me hand & foot without a worry. They had me feeling as if I were trying on dresses in the comfort of my home, yet they even helped me but on my bustier which I'd never worn before, and were always waiting aside if I needed assistance getting in or out of my dress. I even bought my accessories here!! (shoes, bustier, jewelery & more!) I loved it. If I ever need a formal dress again, I will be heading here first!

Each member of the staff at The Wedding Bell deserves a pat on the back and a round of applause for making my dress literally fit like a glove all night and getting it ready in time! We ordered in July and it arrived a month before the wedding needing it taken in at the bust and when I picked it up a week before the wedding I had a hard time getting myself out! Beth, the seamstress, also picked out a gorgeous dress for my mom a WEEK before the wedding which she got sooo many raves and reviews about!! I got my whole attire - shoes, veil, hair comb/tiara, dress at the shop and this was the ONLY shop I went to!! If you're looking for a unique, one of a kind, special dress this is the place to go... they make you feel like a princess!

The wedding bell had beautiful wedding gowns that were very original and nicely priced. The only thing I was not happy with was the woman they use to do their alterations. She was pushy and pricey. I felt like I had to use her since she helped me into my dress at the store and told me everything she needed to do to my dress. Before you know it the cost for cutting down the cups on my corset so they wouldn't show out of the dress and to shorten my straps was almost $300.00 alone and this was on top of the $1,200 dress (that I am completely happy with). She also proceeded to remind me as I was looking at her paperwork that she was doing it for such a good price! As if! Then she took almost three weeks to do minimal alterations and finished 3 days before the wedding. So I had to work around HER schedule to come to HER house to get MY dress that I already paid for. It was very irritating and stressful. The rest of the staff at the wedding bell was wonderful though. I recommend their shop, just not their lady who does alterations. Look elsewhere :)

We no longer refer to our former alterations person. She is a good seamstress and can work with difficult alterations. Our current list of seamstress referrals can be found on our website at www.theweddingbellbride.com.

I love this place! If you'd rather feel completely relaxed and enjoy yourself instead joining the cattle call at a major dress shop this place is for you. Great selection, good prices, helpful staff. Plus my husband and I had our first date on 6th Ave, so in keeping with the theme...

One of the best decisions I made throughout my wedding planning process was to walk into The Wedding Bell one day on my lunch break...just to take a peak at some dresses. I immediately fell in love with the quaint boutique setting, attentive and fun staff (mostly family of the owner, Beth) and the beautiful, yet affordable gowns. We ended up purchasing my bridal gown, the bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dress and my Mom's dress through them.
We hit some bumps along the way...the bridesmaids dresses I picked had been just been discontinued in the color I wanted, so we had to start from square one finding another dress I liked for my girls. Not a problem though, they took their time working with me to find exactly what I was looking for! Then, my mom waited until the LAST minute to order her dress and it came one week before the wedding...none of us liked it...so, we found another and got it in 2 days before the wedding! It needed several alterations and Beth put in extra hours just to see that it was done on time and done well! Throughout all of that chaos with both situations, Beth and her crew managed to smile and offer their time and devotion to making us happy customers. I truly feel that had I chosen to do business elsewhere, I never would have received the support and quality of service I received at the Wedding Bell. I never doubted their willingness to go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I have to say, my time spent at The Wedding Bell was fun, stress-free and very memorable! I highly recommend them to any brides I come accross.
Gorgeous dresses, great selection, and very personalized service!
I know Kim and her team at The Wedding Bell do what it takes to make sure their clients get what they want for appearal at their events. Definitely worth checking out before making a decision on where you get your dress(es)!
