I order a dress from Amsale at the Wedding Library at the end of march. They told me they would send me an email to confirm my order and they didn't. I left them a message and wrote two e-mails and had no reply. Since it was a rush order and they were insecure on having the dress delivered from Amsale on time, I thought they didn't place the order and didn't bother to let me know. I bought another dress as a back up plan and 2 weeks later the Amsale dress was charged on my card. But on April 22nd, when they were supposed to call me to try the dress at the store, I didn't hear from them. Next Monday I called them 3 times and no one answered so I left 3 messages saying I was leaving the country and had to pick up my dress. No one called me back. I sent them an e-mails and no one wrote me back. I left a message and still nothing. I had to pay an extra fee so the dress would be delivered on time and they didn't even bother to answer my messages?
After I contact Amsale - who said they could not get involved in the matter but that they contacted the Wedding Library and they said they tried to contact me but that I did not have a voicemail set up - which is a lie, the Wedding Library sent me an email saying that they were closed on the day I called them (Monday!) and that they would look into the situation. It's been one week and I still haven't heard from them.
I think this is extremely rude and dishonest and I would expect more from a store associated with Amsale.
I set up an appointment 2.5 weeks ago to see their Amsale bridesmaid dresses with my MOH and another bridesmaid, my best friend. When we arrived for our 6pm appointment, I filled out a form and was shown to their small showroom. The salesperson Lindsey was at first nice.
When another group of three arrived, she diverted her attention to them and even took the fitting clips my sister was using to help the other customer. I am not sure what went wrong, but we were left to pull our own dresses, hang, and restock them, as well as zip and clip them ourselves. The samples were in poor condition, with many zippers broken and chiffon torn. All Lindsey's attention went to the other group shopping at the same time. I felt ignored and as though we were very unimportant.
It is not the service I expect from what purports to be a first rate salon in a lovely area. I will not return. I gave it 1 star because their selection of dresses is wonderful and well-edited. There are no poofy nightmares at this store, only tasteful, chic dresses. The store has lost this bride, and I will not recommend it to others.
the bridemaids dresses were OUTSTANDING! Extremely helpful and professional associates. I didnt want everyone to have the identical dress so we worked in the same color palette. Needless to say-- everyone was impressed!
Cannot say enough amazing things about The Wedding Library for our bridesmaid dresses. They were all so accommodating, helpful, and just fun to work with. The bridesmaid dresses were beautiful.
