The Wedding Shoppe

After 3 trips to The Wedding Shoppe, I purchased my dress!!! :) Over a year until my wedding, but it is nice to have that off my plate! Plus.....It was under $500!!!! I loved my salesperson....She was AWESOME! She made it so much fun, and was very honest about the dresses. I can't wait to get it in!

I had very few, if any problems with the Wedding Shoppe. They custom made a veil and a necklace to match my dress. The alterations were perfect. Being as it was a busier salon, I did experience some waiting thru all my appointments (and rescheduling), which prevented me from giving them a 5. But overall, I was treated very well, and got wonderful service. The designer dress was amazing, and their custom work was a little overpriced, but I’m glad I did it. Bridesmaids got alterations done on their own. I think only one needed a hem.

The wedding shoppe also custom made a necklace for me to match my dress.

Total cost: $640 My dress is Anjolique 821 I tried it on at Bride Beautiful in Atlanta , and their 'trunk show special' price of like $1200. Well, my family is from MN, so we went shopping there, and it was $640 at the wedding shoppe. Go figure. Anyway, shop around ladies! They got my dress in on time, and it was in perfect condition, so no complaints.

I originally bought a Watters and Watters dress at the shop and regretted my choice over the weekend because I wanted something with lace. I had read reviews of the stingy return policy and horrid customer service but I received nothing but helpful phone calls and the sweetest woman offering to let me use the dress deposit towards tuxes. Since we were going to use them anyhow, it was such a relief to be able to transfer the money and not be stuck with the dress.

The tuxes looked good and fit well. The bridesmaids dresses we got were cheaper than any place local and online and they looked amazing on every girl. I would recommend at least looking at the Wedding Shoppe during the WEEK...not on the weekend when it's crowded and crazy.

Minneapolis didn't have a ton of good selection of dresses at the stores i went to until I ended up (by accident) at the wedding shoppe. I didn't even know it was there but as soon as I walked in I was excited. They had so many gowns to look at that I was overwhelmed. My sales lady was very nice and helped me narrow down what kind of style I was looking for. From there we went to color and so on. I ended up finding my perfect dress that day and went back to purchase it the next. I also bought accessories there like our unity candle, flowergirl basket and guest book, it was a major hit on my checklist of items to get done!

They have a large selection of dresses. Downfalls are it is kind of small and cramped area, also they tend to be very busy so no drop ins, appointment is a must.

I didn't really know what to expect when I went to The Wedding Shoppe, and I had NO CLUE what I would want for a Bridal gown or bridesmaid dresses. I went there more so to look around and get some ideas and a better feel, not to actually buy anything. I was told to not go on Saturdays because they are really busy so I made back-to-back appointments on a Wednesday morning for bridal and bridesmaids. My bridal consultant was so sweet and was a lot of fun - I think her name was, Ashley, and she got to know me and what kind of personailty I have so she started pulling dresses that not only were perfect for my curvy body type but that also fit my personality and style. I of course found the dress of my dreams and at a great price. Ashley then sent me down to Bridesmaids where I found the CUTEST dresses that all of my girls just fell in love with! And my mom even found her mother of the bride dress that day! They were so great that I will be getting my alterations done there and I will be ordering my tuxedos through them too! I recommend The Wedding Shoppe to any bride that is wanting a convenient and friendly experience:)

I had heard bad stories about The Wedding Shoppe and was hesitant to look there for a wedding dress. I was pleasantly surprised with the great customer service I received. All of the ladies kept coming into the room and helping us. It was so much fun! They also had great prices. Because I bought my dress off the rack I got 30% off. It was in excellent condition and looked like it had never been tried on before. My veil was also 50% off since I bought it that same day. I had been planning on spending a lot more on my dress than I actually did because the prices were so great at the Wedding Shoppe.

I purchased my dress at the Wedding Shoppe. I was excited to visit the store because I had hear so much about it, but I was a littl dissapointed at the way the dresses were kept. They were all crammed in the top of the store in a small corner and it was really hard to "dig" through them to look at each one. The only dresses really on display were the ones downstairs in the window...the service was excellent and everything was great, I just thought for such a nice shop they need to expand to accomodate a better dress system....David's Bridal had more organization than they did! Sales people were awesome though and that was the only problem...it took a lot longer to find "The Dress" but mission accomplished and it was beautiful!

We ended up visiting The Wedding Shoppe in Saint Paul we had a really nice tour around the shop and the staff were very helpful in assisting us with what we were looking for. We ended up purchasing an After Six bridesmaid dress that was gorgeous and fit in real well with the colors of the wedding. We had a really good experience and the different collections of dresses that they had were nice.

I would give this place about 4 stars. It was a great location, fun for shopping with my bridesmaids, Mom and Sister. They had a lot of great dresses to choose from, and I had a hard time deciding between the two. They also offered a lot of accessories and had everything there for you to try/sample. The only downside to this place is that it is kind of crowded when more then a few girls are trying on dresses and sometimes I had to wait to get to a mirror.

I worked with a black-haired woman here (I can't remember her name she had a cute little bob) but she was very good salesperson. I really appreciated her patience as I tried on about 78 dresses!! They had a great selection to browse through and I was not rushed or hurried through the process as I was at other stores around the area. She dedicated her time to helping me find the right dress, and we even looked through the designer catalogs to see what kinds of things I liked and didn't like before beginning. They offered to order any dress they didn't have as long as they order from that vendor. Great place to go.

It's so cramped in there! You can't hardly see the dresses, much less try anything on. It's not worth visiting in my opinion.

I was dreading dress shopping. I didn't want a "princess" dress and a brief glance at bridal magazines gave me a clue that this might be a problem. I had heard mixed reviews about customer service at The Wedding Shoppe, but I made an appointment because their selection of dresses seemed to be pretty versatile. Even though I made an appointment, you would have thought I came in off the street with the way the staff treated me. I specifically told the girl "helping" us that I didn't want long trains or a lot of volume to the dresses and she pulled out dresses for me to try as if she hadn't heard a word I had ever said, snapping her gum the entire time. After I rejected puffy dress after puffy dress, the sales associate just told me, "I don't think we have anything here that will work for you" and totally gave up. She gestured vaguely in the direction of a room with "dresses for destination weddings that are a little more plain and boring" and wouldn't help us (my sister was with me) anymore. I was in tears when I left and this experience did not calm my wedding dress shopping fears. Do not go here. Awful, awful, awful.

I found a beautiful dress, but the customer service at the alterations and pick up place is absolutely horrible. Do not get your alterations done by the Wedding Shoppe! My alterations were done incorrectly twice and it cost a fortune! Also, like I said, the people working there were rude and mean.

Great alternative to David's Bridal, the staff is extremely helpful and you can find so many bridesmaids dresses that you can't get anywhere else!

My husband and I were married May 24, 2008. I chose to purchase both my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses from your store. I live in Madison WI and most of my bridesmaids also live in WI. I chose your store by chance because I needed to get fitted for another wedding that I was in and thought that since I was there, I might as well look at some dresses. Your service was amazing. The sales associate asked what style I was looking for and then looked me up and down and knew which dress I was going to choose. She was dead on. I fell in love with the dress, purchased it, and although I found my bridesmaid dresses at another store, decided to order them through you. Thank you for helping to make our day perfect. Everyone looked amazing and felt great! You have an wonderful store filled with fantastic employees. Thank you again. I am always sure to recommend The Wedding Shoppe to any bride looking for advice! So far 3 of my friends have purchased either their wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, or both from your store!
