The Westin Pasadena

We would have never looked at the Westin Pasadena if we hadn't been forced to change our venue almost 9 months before the wedding. But we are so HAPPY we found this hotel. The service staff was unbelievable the night of our wedding, making sure we were well-fed (even though we chose to mingle the whole time) and happy with our bar selections (we up our bar limit twice that night because our guests were drinking so much and having fun).

Alma Garrison at the Westin was our main contact and she is such a wonderful person to work with. She is so friendly and positive that we are sad to not be working with her anymore! Originally, we had another Westin sales manager who ended up leaving, but Alma took on the role with no problems and made sure our guests were happy the entire time. The food was UNBELIEVABLY good and this being a hotel, I know people are skeptical about hotel wedding meals. It was so good that our guests are still talking about it and want the recipe for the salmon!

Instead of moving to a bridal suite the night of the wedding, Alma upgraded us that suite our entire stay at no extra cost! She even worked seamlessly with our planner that they handled questions I didn't even know I needed to ask!

The only small hiccup that weekend was there were 2 other wedding parties staying there (they were getting married elsewhere) and 2 filming crews there, so things were busier than normal and the front desk switched our guest bags with someone else's, but the mistake was taken care of quickly. In addition, some of our guests' needed handicap accessible rooms and weren't given them at first due to the over-booking, but the matter was resolved very quickly.

The hotel is beautiful and the location around the hotel is great. We are so glad we chose the Westin and our guests loved the...

We had our ceremony at the fountain area, cocktail hour on the patio and the reception at the Madera. Shalom was extremely helpful and very flexible. The entire Westin staff did an amazing job and we were pleased with every aspect of our wedding. They worked well with all our vendors and provided the best service we could have ever dreamed of. They allowed us to decorate the ceremony site the way we wanted and helped with all details. Our ceremony was just stunning. The food was great. Salads, entrees, appetisers, desserts were yummy. The waiters were very nice and friendly. Our overnight suite was very clean, cozy and the heavenly bed was very comfortable. The overall experience was very good. This venue just so beautiful and there are so many great places around to take pictures! Highly recommend.

We chose Westin Pasadena as the accomodation for ourselves and our wedding guests, and also as the location of the post-party.

The public areas of the hotel is gorgeous. Especially the entrance, fountain, and lobby bar area. And you get the very excellent service that you would expect from a Westin.

We got the Rose suite for us, and also as the place for the bridal party to get ready. The room is nice and big, though it looks/feels a bit more business-like than I'd like. But that's just nitpicking. The bed and bedding are simply wonderful.

The pool, jacuzzi, workout, sauna area -- All really nice. The only thing is the food / drinks are quite pricey. But who care, you are there to splurge! Enjoy!

We loved the Westin Pasadena for our reception. Shalom is the best! She is really friendly & helpful!

I was really happy with the Westin as our reception location and as the hotel our guests (and myself) stayed at the weekend of our wedding. I worked at first with Tracey (who I loved) and then with Kathy who came in halfway through our wedding planning; we had some issues with details that were not well communicated and some pricing issues that also weren't well communicated. I did feel Kathy was very attentive and responsive and she was even there the night of the wedding to oversee everything which I was expecting her to do since she doesn't work Sundays. The staff the night of was also very polite and accomodating.

I did feel the venue was a little pricey but the food was absolutely AMAZING (the gnocci, halibut, chicken and salads are SO good) - I was definitely pleasently surprised during our tasting and we received nothing but rave reviews from guests.

All in all, I thought the Westin did a great job on our reception and I have no huge complaints other then the cost.

EVERYTHING was wonderful. The room was elegant. The uplights were the right touch. Our guests RAVED about the food (esp. the Potato Bar) and the generous portions. Staff was attentive to our needs. We are so happy.

I loved working with everyone at the Westin. They have a wonderful crew, you won't go wrong should you pick the Westin Pasadena as your venue.

Tracy the wedding coordinator at the Westin is a great businesswoman...she knows how to get every penny from you. However, the service was reliable and she was always reachable. Her assistant Miriam was much more friendly and approachable, and will bend over backwards to help you get your SPG points credited in time for ensuing honeymoons.

We used the Westin as the hotel for my husband and I and our out-of-town wedding guests. I highly recommend them. They were so accommodating for every request that we had which included flower arranging on the patio in their pool area! On our wedding night, they sent up chocolate covered starwberries and champagne! The only complaint that I have is that the price they gave us for our guests turned out to be more expensive than the AAA rate, so make sure you negotiate a good price and keep double checking the rates on their website.
