Reviews for Today's The Day Weddings video & 8mm film
After reading post after post about this company I decided to check them out. Everyone was right...these guys are great. Joe has answered my emails at 11:30 at night! Very professional, very responsive and I love the demo they sent. They can edit your video according to your tastes and personality, which is what I liked a lot. Also, you get quite a bang for your buck when it comes to coverage...three cameras at the ceremony!
Update: Joe is fantastic! Throughout the process he was easygoing, professional and fun. They were fantastic to be around on my wedding day. My DH really liked him. Day of, TTD had cameras everywhere but they were in no way intrusive. There is a reason why brides recommend TTD all the time! DVD should be here soon and I can’t wait to see it!
Although all of our vendors were fabulous I would like to say that Joe was our favorite. He is very personable and made my husband and I feel like we've known him for years. Our finished video is timeless. Since our wedding my dad has passed away and being able to see him in talk, walk and dance is priceless to me and my family. I highly recommend Today's The Day Weddings Video.
We were very happy with TTDWeddings. Our video turned out beautiful and in addition to making our wedding video Joe made our party favors which were music CDs that were given to all 300 of our guests.
This was another one of those “do we really need one”? I’m glad we did. He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll meet and very easy to work with. Honestly, the wedding ceremony was a blur and it really did go as fast as everyone says it will. 50 years when I’m old and grey, I can show the video to my children and grandchildren and show them how young and in love Peter and I were on our wedding day.
We were very happy with choosing Joe from Today's The Day Weddings as our videographer. Great personality and superb work ethic, Joe seems to go the extra mile for his clients. Our DVD was excellent and we will treasure it for years to come. If you are looking for a videographer I highly recommend Today's The Day Weddings!
Our wedding video was money well spent. At first my husband was not sure he wanted to spend the money for the video, but I insisted and a lot of people told me I would regret it later if I did not have it. Well, I am glad I followed everyone’s advice because I cannot tell you how happy my family; my husband and myself were after watching our video. The day goes by so fast and the video catches moments that would have been otherwise not seen or forgotten. I would recommend Today’s The Day Weddings to anyone looking for a wedding videographer without hesitation. We will treasure the video for the rest of our lives.
My wedding has long passed but I wanted to recommend my videographer to anyone who may searching for one.
First off let me say that my wedding day was very long, hectic and filled with two separate Tea Ceremonies in the morning then a banquet later on during the evening. Joe and his assistant worked very hard through the entire event which lasted 14 hours.
The final video is something my husband and I will cherish for a long time. It was absolutely beautiful, fun and moving. Joe definitely cares about his clients, it shows in his attitude, work ethic and the videos he makes. I highly recommend the services of TTDW!
After researching tons of videographers, I saw a rave about TTD and decided to contact Joe. I was planning a destination wedding and Joe immediately eased my fears of not meeting him before I booked him. He was very genuine and responsive to what we wanted in a video. I just received my wedding video and I can't say enough great things about Joe! Not only was he great to work with but his work was amazing...it was like watching a movie. I honestly hardly even noticed him during the wedding but he definitely captured all of the little details. I didn't think I would be this excited to watch my wedding video but I've already watched it 10 times in the past week haha.

Mike and Joe from Today’s The Day Weddings are two people that you need to meet with when deciding who will document your wedding day. You’d be cheating yourself out of an amazing experience if you don’t. Here are just a few reasons they turned out to be one of our favorite vendors:
Customer service. It was above and beyond what we experienced with any other vendor. They were quick with responses to e-mail or phone calls, open to answering any and all questions (no matter what quality or quantity), considerate with our time, and over all very laid back, fun, kind, and genuine people.
Great pricing for all that is offered. Mike and Joe had very competitive pricing for a full day of coverage (from prep to reception) with two camera men and a stationary camera during the ceremony. Other places I looked into offered these at much higher prices along with editing and had limited hours for shooting. Check their website for complete pricing and available services.
Wedding day coverage, photo montage, and interviews. These guys were everywhere and nowhere all at once on the wedding day. They got some great footage without disturbing the flow of things. It was a hellishly hot day (approx. 115 degrees) and they never complained, stopped running around, or lost their pleasant demeanor for a minute. I had comments from family on how nice they were and how impressed they were with their ability to capture everything on film without standing out. The photo montage was great and everyone who saw it loved it. The interviews were a great addition to the video and both my husband and I felt really comfortable talking with Joe while they were being taped. It felt like a conversation instead of a taped interview.
Professionalism. Mike and Joe were honest and up-front about everything from the beginning of the entire process which I really appreciated. The last thing you need when planning a wedding is for vendors to cause you stress or give you misinformation. I was comfortable with them from day one and our personalities matched well. Be good to them and they will be good to you.
Quality end product. We love our video! It really captured the feel of the day and told the story without any cheesy graphics or lame, fuzzy photo lenses a la Glamour Shots circa 1990s. They took a non-traditional approach to our video and it really suits us. My husband and I both got a little teary when we watched it (don’t tell him I told you!) as did our family and friends.
These two really know what they are doing and they are worth every penny!
We were referred to Joe at Today's The Day Weddings from our photographer who only had great things to say about them. Our wedding video looked very nice and we couldn't have been happier. The memories from your photos and video is all you will have to remember your special day and Joe did a great job at preserving them.
I have worked with Joe of Today's The Day Weddings for many years on a variety of TV shows and Commercials (I am a Hollywood Stunt man/Stunt Coordinator and frequently use Joe as my Stunt 2nd Unit Cameraman) so when my (now)wife and I decided to get married in my hometown of Italy, there was no question that we wanted his company to produce our wedding DVD.
Not only did we want our wedding filmed, but we also wanted them to film us hanging with our friends and family since we rarely get to see them. Needless to say, they fit in perfect with all of our family and produced a wedding video that not only captured our wedding, but they also made a segment that highlighted our experience/stay on the island of Ischia Italy.
I highly recommend Today's The Day Weddings Video.
They were the only American vendor we used for our destination wedding.
My wedding was last weekend and a few days before our wedding my husband and I decided we wanted a photo slideshow to be played during our reception. On such a short notice Joe was very accommodating and promised that he could get it done it time which he did. The end result was a beautiful slideshow that all of our family and friends enjoyed at the reception. Unfortunately we did not use TTD for their videography services, video was not in our budget but I am still happy for the slideshow we had him make. Thank you.
I and so glad I hired Joe and Mike to video my wedding! I had read other bride's reviews and booked them, and it was the best decision I made. After doing my research TTD had the best package and best price. Both Joe and Mike were so professional and had tons of equipment yet seemed to be "behind the scenes" and weren't obtrusive. Plus, both were just plain FUN! My (now) husband is a bit camera shy but Joe made him feel totally comfortable. I am hoping to get the finished video soon and I am sure it's going to be fantastic! Can't recommend them highly enough. Do yourself a favor and book Joe!
We looked through tons of videographers. TONS. I think by Demo CD #49 my husband (then fiance) was trying to decide if getting married was worth this torture. We watched through countless wedding DVDs filled with cheesy music, Clipart special effects, and yawn-worthy photo montages. We almost threw in the towel and said that there would not be a quality videographer available in our budget.
Then by chance, I perused Craigslist and found TTD Weddings. We met up with Mike and before the interview was over, we knew we had found our videographer. When we met up with Joe later on, we knew for sure we had a dynamite team working for us! Mike and Joe genuinely cared and listened to all of our wants and needs, and took care of every request - no matter how silly. (And believe me, we were silly!) For the reasonable flat price they charged, they gave us so many items that would have equaled to thousands extra with any other videographer. We got 3 cameras, 2 camera men, all day coverage, a photo montage that made our wedding guests cheer like crazy, a pre-wedding interview video, and even a goofy side video my husband decided to surprise me with! The quality was fantastic and we still show it off, even after almost two years of marriage. Everyone who watches our video keep commenting on how great our video is compared to others they've seen!
We can't gush enough about Mike and Joe. They were easily our favorite vendors to work with (and that's saying lots because we loved all our vendors!). I'm sailornep5 on The Knot/The Nest as well for more info. Choose them and you won't be sorry! :)
Joe and Mike from Today's The Day Weddings were wonderful to work with and very talented. They incorporated 8mm film footage of my ceremony into the final video. I would not consider the work they do to be "wedding videoish". I know they work in television for a variety of networks and it shows in their style. I'm glad to see other bride's like these guy's as much as I did.
Highly recommend!
My husband and I were on a very tight budget and could not afford to spend $6,000.00 on a Videographer. My husband researched over 20 Videographers, and finally found Joe, who was highly recommended to us by a friend who considered working with him, but ended up spending the 6K!
He was very responsive through the pre-wedding stages in getting us all set up. We never had to 'worry' about Joe following through with us. During our wedding, he was so unobtrusive which I believe enabled him to get some truly candid shots of our event.... and candid shots are exactly what you want.
We never had the pleasure of working with Joe's business partner, as we selected the "one man" package and two cameras (one manned / one stationary). Based on Joe's personal presentation and professionalism, I felt very good about having just one cameraman, and I am happy to say in follow up that he far-exceeded our expectations in being the one man show. Check out this guy's professional resume on ttdweddings.com.... he has some solid experience under his belt and it shows!
One recommendation I would have for future brides... incorporate your groom into the process and make sure you select music that reflects both your tastes for the video....not just yours and not just his! When we finally saw our movie, I was blown away by what a profound effect our selection of music had on the final production.
Our wedding was on April 11, 2008, and we were so happy to receive our final product just in time for Christmas 2008! Joe produced a quality video that we are proud to show our friends and family for years and years to come! Mahalo Nui Loa... Thank you very much Joe, for everything!!!!
Today's The Day Wedding (TTDW) staff (Joe and Mike) were awesome! I can't say enough good things about these two. They are like yin and yang...complimenting each other's talents perfectly. I have referred ALL of my friends to them. They are professional, considerate, discreet, and amazingly creative! From beginning to end, they made our special day memorable...and we have the proof. Thank you both for everything!...After three years, we still rave about these two.
Joe and his team were AMAZING from start to finish. We were really impressed by the professionalism, orientation to detail and overall quality of work. The final DVD is something we will treasure forever as it captured not only all of the "right" footage, but also the perfect tone and emotion. I am not one to write reviews but in this case, I had to share so that other couples will benefit. Two thumbs WAY UP!!
I was lucky enough to book TTDWeddings for my wedding. Joe was extremely easy to work with and answered any questions I had very quickly! I received a response to every email I sent him within the day if not the hour. He is very easy to get along with and when it came to our wedding day, we didn't even notice he was there. He's very professional. Not only is he a skilled videographer, but he creates beautiful clips and videos of your special day. Just ask him about his background and you'll see why! If I had to do the day all over again knowing what I know, I would still go with TTDWeddings. Thank you Joe!
I got married in January, and I wanted to recommend my videographers, Today's The Day Weddings, to any brides who are looking. Mike and Joe, who are co-partners, are the sweetest vendors, both before, during and after the wedding. They are super-responsible with getting back to you with answers to any questions you have, have two cameras on the entire day, had (4) rolling at my ceremony and are just genuinely good people. To top it off, the quality of the editing is excellent(not a cheesy clip on the DVD) - we hired them because their demos were very professionally done but they charge very reasonable prices. (the other videographers who were in their quality range were charging way more than they did).
They are both tv/commercial production people, and that's why their editing is of such high-quality. Anyways, check out their website and their demos! www.ttdweddings.com
Joe and Mike get an A+ rating from me!
And good luck with your planning, future brides! :)
My husband and I are both in the wedding industry so we work with A LOT of other wedding vendors. When it came to our OWN wedding, there was no question that we would use Joe from Today's the Day as our videographer. Joe is AWESOME!!!! He is professional, dependable and fun to work with. We have heard horror stories from many brides over the years of OTHER vendors that they chose: ones that did NOT show up, ones who were rude to guests, and ones which lacked talent. Those are DEFINITELY not words to describe Joe's service. He TRULY cares about the client and is dedicated to his work. Joe, you are A+++++++++!!!!!
Enough cannot be said about Joe. He is able to capture moments in time yet his style is so unobtrusive you won't even know he's there! He creates magical DVD's!

Reception at The InterContinental Hotel Century City, Jack + Angeline
Cool music, lots of dancing and this reception possesses an awesome display of lighting for ambiance. I cannot emphasize enough how "LED" up lighting, pin spots, gobos, intelligent lights, etc. make a difference for a party...in this case a wedding reception.
This room would look like a square box with no atmosphere at all without the use of decorative lights as seen in this clip. With most hotels and other sites, you basically get overhead lights built into the space, and IMO they just don't cut the mustard like a lighting package.
Pin spots accent the beautiful centerpieces that took you countless time in designing, often time without the use of pin spots...those centerpieces get lost in the background.
So, for anyone considering up lights, gobos, pin spots, etc...if it fits into your budget, DO IT! You will not regret it.
The "best man" at the wedding got a lot of screen time during this reception clip, can you figure out who he is?
I think he should give Dancing With The Stars a shot in the future, he would tear it up;)
Brady at PropsFX was the DJ/Emcee and lighting vendor for this reception but I would also like to plug my friend Jack at The Music Man Productions who offers this style lighting packages for events and wedding receptions as well.

Wedding Video at Spanish Hills Country Club and Our Lady Of The Assumption, Zach + Jessica
This wedding was shot entirely by one videographer...me, although I am usually shooting with at least one other videographer.
For couples who plan to see each other prior to their ceremony a.k.a. [first look], this video is a prime example of how intimate and sweet one can be.
The ceremony took place at Our Lady Of The Assumption in Ventura CA. and the reception was hosted at Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo CA.
This was my first time working with the talented Sara K Chen photographer, she was extremely considerate of my candid shooting style which I truly appreciated. Photos from the day can be seen here. Kerrie Underhill from Platinum Weddings by Kerrie coordinated the event. Kerrie is one of the most detailed and dedicated wedding coordinators I have ever worked with...her clients are very fortunate to have her.
