Travel in Time Photography

Travel In Time were great to work with. They were so nice and were fun to be around. They eased any nerves we had prior to the wedding. They are flexible and very affordable. We can't wait to see our pictures.

Photography was one of the more important aspects of our wedding that we wanted to make sure that we were happy with. We looked at countless websites, and interviewed several photographers. I was first impressed by the quality and creativity of the photos on Travel In Time's website. They didn't feel like "typical" wedding photos. Normally, it's hard to get excited about strangers' photos, but I found myself returning again and again to look at their galleries because the photos themselves are interesting. And of course, I was really impressed with the value - two photographers for a very reasonable price.

With Derek and LiQun, we just loved not only how they interacted with us, but with each other. They are friendly, open to suggestion, and enthusiastic, and they also challenge each other to be better artists. They bounce ideas off of each other while they are taking pictures, and have two cameras going at the same time - making for some amazing posed and candid shots! During the wedding, they arrived right on time (a bit early even!), were subtle and professional, and very cheerful.

I found them very easy to work with - the contract is very straightforward, they answered every email that I sent, and were very flexible with what we wanted from the day. Even after the wedding, they have been very responsive - posting a round of photos within two weeks of the wedding, and still being very responsive to emailed questions.

Derek and LiQun were amazing! Having a great photographer was very important to me, as we weren’t having a video of the wedding. I wanted to make sure that we had great photos that would tell the story of that day. That is exactly what we got. Our photos are beautiful, crisp, and every time I look at them I am brought right back to that day. When I first found Travel in Time Photography I knew I wanted to hire them based on their style, even before I knew I would be getting TWO photographers! Having two people taking photos allowed them to do what one cannot – be in two places at once! This was very useful when we were getting ready before the ceremony, and also during the ceremony as we had both up close and wide angle shots.

We also had Derek and LiQun do our engagement session. We got to pick the location which was great. They made us feel comfortable getting our pictures taken and we ended up having a LOT of fun with them! They don’t just take great photos, but they are great people, too. I was happy to be able to see them again at our wedding! The album was fantastic and was really nice quality, too. They helped us design the album, and were always willing to make any changes we wanted until it was just right.

I highly recommend Travel in Time Photography for your wedding and your engagement photo session. Their prices are well below what they could be (there are many photographers out there who charge a lot more than they do), and the pictures come out great. They have a lot of different package options to suit your needs, or you can “build your own” with what you want to fit into your price range. Either way, you’re going to be happy with your photos and your photographers!

I am so glad I went with Derek and LiQuin for our wedding photographers! We felt very comfortable with both of them during the wedding and they were excellent with getting back to us about any questions we had. I had a list of different shots I hoped to get and I was so impressed that they were able to capture all the images I requested. We love how the pictures came out. I found Derek and LiQun through the WPJA on the recommendation of a friend. I couldn't afford 95% of the photographers on there, and of all of them, Derek was the only one to respond to me within a day. Throughout the planning process (and after!) they've been incredibly quick via email, which is my preferred method of contact. We were able to purchase a package that worked perfectly for us. Our wedding was outside Danbury, CT and they traveled all the way from Boston to photograph it! Having lived with several photographers, I'm rather picky about the quality of the photos, and all of the local photographers I found in the same price range (or for that matter, well above it as well) did not have nearly the skill that Derek and LiQun showed. They were incredibly professional, but not at all stuffy and I felt totally comfortable. My husband and I are both rather awkward in front of a camera, and we needed some direction, and they were great with that. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and they were hands down my favorite vendor for my entire wedding.

From the first wedding consultation through working through the revisions of the wedding album they were great. They respond within the same day for any questions, they have creative insight, and patience. The photos they took were amazing. They have such an eye for detail and with both of them working they truly don't miss a moment! We could not have been happier with Derek and LiQun. They were very enthusiastic, professional and flexible, and their work is absolutely beautiful. They captured the many details of our Hindu ceremony perfectly, made us very comfortable with formal and intimate shots, and captured many amazing moments during the reception. Upon first meeting Derek and Vanessa, the most compelling thing we found about them was how comfortable they made us feel, how committed they were to their work and how fun they were as people. When actually working with them for both an engagement session and our wedding, we felt extremely comfortable in front of the camera and found being around them was fun and easy. We didn't want traditional photos and we also didn't want someone who made us feel awkward while taking pictures in an invasive way during natural, raw moments. We didn't even know they were there most of the time (only when we needed to!), and our photos were creative, artistic and extremely beautiful. It was such a pleasure working with this vendor, and we couldn't have asked for anything more from our photos. We will cherish them forever and be grateful to Travel in Time Photography always!

Derek & Liqun are very professional and their quality of work is top notch. We found them through the photojournalist association and loved their unique way of capturing moments. We had such fun taking the engagement photos and they all came out amazing. On our wedding day they arrived early and worked so hard all day and into the evening capturing every moment. They took time working with us on the final wedding album and it came out perfect. We now have such amazing photos of our engagement and wedding that we will have forever. Derek and Vanessa photographed our wedding and our family photo shoot! Although we have not gotten the photos from the wedding yet, the family ones were amamzing. The attention to detail at the wedding, along with the time spent with us and the artistic ways to pose and get candids was perfect!

I was very pleased with Derek and LiQun's attention to detail as well as the spontaneous private moments they captured between my husband and myself as well as with my family members. I really didn't notice them taking the pictures throughout the day so i was so surprised to see all of the private intimate moments they captured.
