The church was gorgeous and easy to find. Part of the church rental is a rehearsal the night before and the services of Melinda, the building administrator/wedding coordinator. She was on top of everything, coordinating the ceremony, making sure everything went as planned and taking care of any last minute details. There is a bride's room for getting ready, which is not super fancy but it is big and comfortable with a full length mirror. It is also 3 minutes (driving) from the Ballard Locks so we were able to go there for beautiful pictures before the ceremony. I would recommend doing your reception elsewhere since there isn't a great reception room at the church, but if you are looking to do a church wedding, this is a fabulous place for it.

We used Trinity for our ceremony and we were very pleased with everything. The church is beautiful and spacious, and they have a good sound system so that all our guests could hear the ceremony. We did photos at the church and they turned out great. The whole process was seamless and Melinda, the wedding coordinator, and Pastor Rich took care of all the details, so I just enjoyed my day. I also appreciated that they were not trying to make a profit, but just charged a modest fee to cover their time and expenses.

Beautiful 80 year old church building and Sanctuary. A reconciling community that welcomes all people.

How does your venue determine the cost of the space?

Space is $300, on site coordinator is $300 and our sound tech plus custodial is $150.00. Totally cost to you WITHOUT officiant is $750.00

Do you offer any special services?

One hour of rehearsal and up to five hours on the day of the ceremony.

Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners?

No dinner space available at this time.

Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?

We have candelabras, two antique brushed steel sets (4) and a brass candelabra set (2). We also have a kneeling bench if you would like communion added to your ceremony. These come at no additional cost.

Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?

We have pew clips that may be used to decorate the sanctuary aisle, to be used on site only.

What is your staff-to-guest ratio?

The TUMC Wedding Coordinator runs the show with backup from our Sound Technician. Officiant runs the ceremony, the Coordinator runs the logistics.

Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?

We will work with your vendors and or DIY'ers.

Do you require the client to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is that an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians?

You may use TUMC's very talented musicians or bring in your own upon approval.

Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?

We have a room for the men to dress in (our choir room) and rooms for the bride and her attendants (Bride's Room) and a Parlor for the family to sit before the ceremony and to sign papers after the ceremony. These rooms are in addition to the Sanctuary (of course). No additional rooms available at this time.

Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired?

There is no alcohol allowed on the premises, including the parking lot. Thank you!

How many power outlets does the venue have?

We are an old building to additional power requests should be made though the Coordinator.

What restrictions (if any) on decorations?

Our Sanctuary is decorated for the liturgical time of year. As seen in the photographs banners may not be removed or replaced, although we will remove the altar cloth upon request to show the amazing woodworked altar.

What restrictions (if any) on photography?

The Photographer and the Officiant will work out the preferred use of flash photography during the ceremony.

What restrictions (if any) on videography?

We have a wonderful choir loft that gives a perfect view to record the whole event. We ask all videographers and photographers to be as 'invisible" as possible. Thank you!

What restrictions (if any) on noise levels?

No. Our facility closes to the public at 7pm most evenings. Special arrangements may be made. Noise emanating from T.U.M.C. is not an issue.

If your site is in a public location, is the client required to get any permits?

No permits necessary.

No.

We do not provide security services but welcome and outside security if arranged in tandem with T.U.M.C.

Parking lot for @ 60 across the street and street parking. For large events we call on our neighboring churches for use of their parking lots (Ballard First Lutheran and Ballard Baptist).

Proper commmunication eleminates mistakes. Submit all your wedding party's information and all your venors information to your ceremony & recptions sites two weeks prior to your event!
