I am so sorry it has taken me a bit to get this to you, but I just had to find the right words to say about you and the beautiful wedding you helped create. We wish we could give you 6 stars in every category because giving you only 5 stars makes us feel like we are under rating you! You went above and beyond!!

Aimee, no matter what I say or write, no amount of words can express the wonderful, incredible and amazing job you did to put our wedding together. You would think that somebody who has been with her college sweetheart for 14 years, who eloped 5 years back and who has 2 wonderful children would expect an average wedding and wouldn’t mind or pay much attention to the feelings her actual ceremony would bring. Aimee it was because of you, that on my actual wedding day, I felt as if I was walking on clouds; I can honestly say your slogan of “Your love...Your story” was synonym with how we felt. For the first time in my life, I felt I was a princess; I was the actual Cinderella walking down the aisle with her prince. Every step I took, every color you helped pick, every design detail, every idea and the worry free handling of vendors by you, made it so that I could finally have the wedding that I always wished for. The way you suggested we include both our children at being part of this wedding was amazing, I can tell you that my 5 year old daughter will remember this day for life. My wedding has left such a great and important image in her mind that I can only hope to top it off when her day comes.

Aimee you were more than a wedding planner, you became our friend, our guide and the one person whom we felt truly supported and understood by in such a time. It has been almost 2 months now since our wedding and we are still receiving compliments from our guest telling us that this was absolutely the best wedding they have ever attended. When it comes to my wedding, Aimee was the best decision I made. I was quite resistant to hiring a wedding planner as I was under the assumption that I could handle everything on my own, but boy was I wrong. Aimee though of options and scenarios that I never even considered. She was so thorough with double checking all of my work and went through all my contracts with such precision. She double and triple checked with all vendors and left no room for error. She had back up plans in mind in case anything did go wrong. Then on the day of she was such a savior. She was all the places I could not be, and she knew when to make executive decisions and when to call me with questions. She did not bother me with little details but at the same time she knew which details needed my attention. With the amount of work, detail, and precision Aimee exhibited, you would have thought this was her very own wedding. I was amazed at her expertise in this field, and with the professionalism and effort that she demonstrated. I would highly recommend Aimee for any event.

My fiancé and I were living in New York with plans to marry in Washington DC. Aimee helped ease our stress of planning an out of state wedding in just four short months. She was always accessible via phone and email whenever I needed her and always went above and beyond during our entire planning process. Aimee kept us on a timeline, listened to and understood our vision and was always ready with creative suggestions to ensure our wedding really represented us. Aimee thoroughly reviewed of all of our contracts to make sure we were getting what we wanted and were staying within budget. Aimee was always available to accompany me to meetings with the florist, the food tasting, hotel site visits and many meetings the hotel coordinator right up to the final walk through. There was so much that I could not have handled without her direction and guidance! Most invaluable was having Aimee there for us on the day of the wedding. She was our eyes and ears behind the scenes and made sure everything ran like clock-work. We didn't have to think about anything; she took care of EVERYTHING! Aimee was great to work with. She had some very creative and fun ideas and was willing to oversee several of my selections and suggestions from other vendors.

We had the most carefree, wonderful day and it is all because of Aimee Hardenberg. She is AMAZING! She helped us narrow down our focus for the wedding so it truly was a day that represented "us". Aimee also had great suggestions for photos, decorations, food- she literally thought of everything! When my MOH accidently cut her finger while buttoning my wedding dress, Aimee swooped in like an angel, got the blood stain out and finished the buttons without a minute to spare! My family loved her and even my friends commented on how they wished they'd had her for their weddings! I can't say enough good things about Aimee- she is the best planner there is!

Aimee did an amazing job of planning every aspect of our wedding. She thought of every detail and made excellent recommendations regarding vendors. She helped us combine our two cultures (Greek and Indian) in such a creative way that really represented us. From the moment we met, she was completely professional, organized, responsive, and supportive throughout the planning. We saved hundreds of dollars by her reviewing all vendor contracts to ensure we were getting the most for our budget. I was totally relaxed on my day knowing that all deliveries, payments, pick ups, drop offs, set ups, phone calls, etc were taken care of. She did an excellent job of managing our 300 guests and keeping everyone on schedule. Her services were priceless and well worth every penny. She truly delivered the wedding of our dreams.

Aimee was terrific. She worked hard and effectively to understand what the bride and family wanted, help us prioritize, come up with practical and creative ideas, and was there when help was needed. We couldn’t have pulled off the wedding we wanted without Aimee!! Funny thing, we weren’t even thinking about a wedding planner when we first met her. But, soon after we met, we saw how professional, efficient, creative, and…… well, the list just goes on, and on, and on. We just “clicked,” and we’re so pleased she was our wedding planner.

We found that she was so intuitive about our needs and she really took the time to get to know us. Aimee kept us on track for the 9 months we worked together before the wedding. She was such a great resource to bounce ideas off of and educated us about appropriate wedding etiquette. Most importantly, she kept focus on us, how we wanted our wedding to be and always kept our budget in mind.

Aimee really was a tremendous and invaluable help. She had such unique ideas to make our wedding fun (which was one of our biggest goals), she researched the details/cost, worked out logistics and presented a plan to us. She was a calming force during our crisis phone calls, gently nudged us to stay on our timeline, introduced us to excellent and inexpensive vendors and worked very well with our “must have” vendors. She was always there for us. Both of us truly loved our wedding, and Aimee/True Wedding Events made that possible. We had the greatest time of our lives. Aimee is excellent at what she does!!!

Aimee Hardenbergh was our wedding planner, and because of her knowledge, skill, and creativity, our wedding turned out even better than we could have imagined.

Our wedding was a bit complicated in that we used two indoor spaces and one outdoor space, and we wanted a tropical theme in the Washington, D.C. area. Our reception space was very plain and cavernous, and we were concerned that we wouldn’t be able to make it look intimate and pretty for the reception and stay within our budget.

Aimee was instrumental in finding good vendors, going over all of the various contracts, and coordinating every detail down to the minute -- from decor to the ceremony to the reception activities. Her knowledge of space planning and attention to detail were much needed, and her ability to manage everything going on at once was truly impressive. Aimee listened to what we wanted (which was not always very clear) and made it a reality. She had very clever ideas that made our wedding special and saved us money at the same time.

Aimee’s services were absolutely invaluable to us. We could not have done it by ourselves, and it was a huge relief to know that we didn’t have to worry about all the details because she would take care of them for us. We had total confidence in her at all times, and I highly recommend her to anyone who is planning a wedding or special event.

My, now husband, Mike and I met Aimee when we were visiting various venues for our May wedding. I fell in love with an old manor estate in Leesburg, VA that Aimee was showing. From the moment I laid eyes on the Manor, my vision for our wedding began to develop. Because the Manor was a unique venue, I knew that I would need assistance creating a fun and elegant “wedding-scape”. I also knew that I wanted a coordinator; Aimee was that and so much more! In less than 6 months, Aimee and I worked together to plan and execute the “most best” wedding ever! She skillfully used her experience, sophisticated aesthetic, strong organizational ability and remarkable attention to detail to create the most incredibly spectacular wedding that I never knew I wanted.
I am not someone who has been dreaming and planning their wedding since childhood and Aimee was critical in framing the planning process for me. She encouraged me to think about all things great and small. We discussed the ideas and details that made this not just a wedding, but “our” wedding. I especially appreciated Aimee’s inspired aesthetic. She was able to draw on her experience with the venue, knowledge of current trends and vendor capabilities to take our ideas to a higher level of sophistication and elegance. It was because of her extensive knowledge of the industry that, at every turn, she knew the perfect vendor that would deliver exactly what I wanted. Her recommendations were perfect for the overall vision that we were trying to achieve.
We were not without our planning challenges, however, Aimee dealt with each situation with determination and professionalism, always our advocate, mediator and cheerleader. She went above and beyond my expectation in her creative and tenacious problem solving; from the initial planning until the last guest departed, Aimee had it handled.
My wedding was, in a word, amazing. All the details were attended to and while I am sure not everything went according to plan, for me it was perfect. All I had to do was revel in the joy of the day and for that I give Aimee a tremendous amount of credit.

Aimee was wonderful! Honestly, I never realized that, as a grown woman, I would have to ask somebody so many questions. But Aimee always had an answer for me, and she always gave me options. She was very in tune with the "vision" we had in mind and was able to pull it all together for us. It was EXTREMELY helpful to have Aimee there for us on the day of the wedding. We didn't have to think about anything, she took care of it all. She is extremely detail-oriented and knew how to handle every situation before and during the wedding. My daughter and I hired Aimee with a couple months to go until an August wedding. We thought we were hiring someone to just make sure everything went smoothly the last weeks before and the day of the wedding—to sort of be our eyes, ears, and hands where we couldn’t be. What we got was SO MUCH MORE. Aimee was amazing. She read through our contracts and started coordinating the vendors immediately. She made things work that we would not have been able to. She recognized potential problems and resolved them. She made good, timely suggestions and helped us make some last minute changes. She did everything, and only had us involved when we needed to be. Her coordination skills are amazing; a couple very difficult vendors were no match for her. All of this was done with a graciousness and class that were very important to us. The best thing she did for us was that she got us organized with timelines, and decisions made, weeks before the wedding. Her goal was to allow us to really enjoy the week and special day knowing everything was done. We had a final timeline that was the mother of all timelines.

It all came together to make a fabulous wedding day. It was storming, so all the garden festivities had to be moved inside the tent. What could have been a stressful disaster for some was no problem for Aimee. We worried about nothing. By the time we got to the reception everything was moved inside and looked spectacular—just like we had planned it that way. The reception was perfect.

I could not recommend Aimee more highly. What she did for us was worth SO much more than what we paid her. At the end of the night, my husband said, “Wow, Aimee was really a good decision.” Little did he know!! Thank you Aimee!

We used True Wedding Events for the day of planning and Aimee was a delight to work with. I chose to have a day of planner because I didn't want myself or my family running around trying to set up, since our venue was basically a blank canvas and we had to supply all the decorations. The relief that Aimee was able to give my family knowing my wedding day would be perfect was something every bride should have. I was able to show up to the venue and enjoy my husband and I's special day with no worries.

Although we did a pretty good job of finding our own vendors, Aimee did help us find our caterer and always had suggestions when we needed them. Again I think her main skill is in the details, in reminding you of nice touches or additions. She really has the wholistic view and was able to understand our style, our preferences, and what was important for us, and to bring all of that together to create a fabulous, beautiful, and memorable event for us and for our guests.

- On my wedding day I was able to sleep in, get ready at my own pace, go to the wedding venue (manor) and get my makeup done and drink wine and champagne with my mom and bridesmaids in the bridal suite until I had to walk down the aisle. Not once did I have to think about whether the shuttles were on time, or the bar was set up, etc. None of that, from the beginning to the end of the night. That to me is priceless! It's not even worth it to think about doing it all yourself no matter how DYI you are!!! And Aimee is perfectly organized to make it flow and get things moving without you even noticing what's going on.
