Truffle Trolley

I went with them b/c they were cheap and some brides had gone with them. Do not order your truffles with them if you have a big wedding. They wont be able to handle it. I ordered my truffles way in advance and was assured that everything would be fine. Each guest was to receive two truffles in a nice box tied with a red ribbon. One truffle would have my initial, and one truffle would have my husbands initial written on. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, this is what happened. I asked for the truffles to be delivered on Wednesday (my wedding was on Saturday). When they didn’t show up on Wed., I ended up making a call on Wednesday night and leaving a message. No one called me back. They are based in Arizona which makes it even worse. Anyway, I ended up trying to chase down the box of chocolates all day on Thursday and Friday. I bet what happened was that they couldn’t get everything done in time and couldn’t get it out until Friday. Well, I pretty much gave up on it until they somehow miraculously arrived at my house on Friday at 4, right before my rehearsal dinner. I was pretty peeved, but by then I had already given up on them. I paid about $1.25 or $1.35 for each box, or about $529 total. Our initials were also written messily on the truffles. So I really can’t recommend them. My word of advice to you: stay local. I should have just gone with Sees or Godivas or something. The stress was not worth it.

These chocolate truffle favors were absolutely delicious and packaged so elegantly. They get a 4 star because they shipped my truffles to the wrong house. Fortunately, other brides encouraged me to lie about my wedding date since other brides had gotten their favors late or after their weddings. That was the smartest thing I could have done, because even though they went to the wrong address and I got them late, they were right on time because I got them the week before my wedding.

Inexpensive, easy favors that our guests enjoyed (although one of my little cousins did re-gift me her truffles). Because some other reviewers had trouble with on-time delivery, I requested an early delivery time (about 1 1/2 weeks before the wedding). The boxes and ribbons were pretty (we did black pinstripe with white satin ribbon) and the truffles arrived in great condition (despite the heat).

Truffle Trolley provided the favors and I thought they were fantastic. Maybe not the best chocolate I have ever tasted but still very yummy. I sent a request for a sample of 4 flavors but never received it. When I called a couple of months later, they apologized and quickly overnighted a sample of all 10 flavors to me. It was outstanding service. Their pricing includes the truffles, box and ribbon. I think each favor was $2.16 which included 2 truffles. Can't beat that!

Everything started out great, they mailed us samples upon request, were very good to answer e-mails and were very professional up until the week of my wedding. My wedding was on Saturday, truffles were suppossed to be delivered on Tuesday and did not arrive until Friday afternoon. I took the day off from work on Tuesday because I knew it would take a while to prep. the truffles. We had to add ribbon and favor tags to 200 truffles. After e-mailing them a couple of times on Tuesday and Wednesday, I received an e-mail on Thursday apologizing for the delay and telling me to not reply to that e-mail because there was a delay in their system and they would not reply back. I was up late the night before my wedding, had to cancel spa appointments, in order to finish the truffles. They also sent the wrong ribbon so we were running around trying to buy the right one. I understand things happen but this is the last thing any bride wants to be doing the night before her wedding. Other than that, they were a hit, everyone loved them, very tasty.

I ordered my favors from here for 300 people. They all came on time and were beautifully wrapped. I especially appreciated that they sent us free samples. I also loved that when the favors were shipped they had ice packs in the box to keep the chocolates from melting and to maintain form. None of the shipment was damaged.

As for the cholate taste. They are very basic truffles. Simple, not super extravagent. However, I was pleased with the pricing and the ultimtate turnout.

We are did a triple flavor box with 6 different flavors (3 different flavors in 1/2 of the boxes & 1/2 in the other). Ted was super easy to work with & very accomodating with all of my requests and changes to my order because we just couldn't make up our minds. They even sent us 2 sets of samples because they changed up some flavors. Our truffles came delivered on my doorstep on Wednesday before the wedding just as promised, all boxed up & labelled. The boxes were super insulated with ice packs to keep them from melting. We had a few extras so of course I had to eat some and ohhh they were supper yummy. I had a few people at the wedding ask if there were extra's because they ate theirs at the wedding. I would highly recommend this company.
