PERFECT, it's the only appropriate word to use when describing my experience with Truffles! From our first email exchange I felt as if I belonged to the Truffles/Belvedere family! I met with the owner on several different occasions (how many venues allow that to happen......not many) and when it was time to start planning I was passed along to the OVERLY COMPETENT,DETAIL ORIENTED, PERFECTIONIST named Kat! Kat helped me with almost every detail of my wedding and even offered words of encouragement and a warm hug when my personal life worried me! My rehearsal dinner was a hit among all my friends thanks to Averil, who is so lovable and easy to work with as well!!! Every time I walked through those doors I felt like a celebrity! I was greeted with smiles and affection from ALL of the Truffles staff!!! On my wedding day all of my friends (none of them married at the Belvedere) warned that not everything would be perfect but boy were they WRONG!!! From beginning to end everything thing flowed so smoothly, almost like a well choreographed dance! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable and the ballrooms were stunning (as usual)! Our wedding has been called "the wedding of the century", "the most stunning wedding ever attended", "so beautiful and elegant" and the list goes on and on!!!! I am writing this review as Mother-of-the-bride. My daughters wedding was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The planning process was painless and Kat, the wedding planner, is excellent at what she does. The room was beautiful, the food was outstanding and the service was just perfect. The staff kept to the timeline and the evening flowed smoothly. When the reception ended at 10 pm, our "personals" had been gathered and place on a table near the door...cake server set washed and put back in the box, Waterford toasting flutes carefully wrapped and bagged, unclaimed favors gathered and placed in a central spot. The staff in the foyer did a good job at directing people here and there and being sure everyone's parking tickets were validated. Thank you Truffles at the Belvedere for a perfect evening for my daughter and son-in-law!!

I literally cannot say enough about Truffles Catering - I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else! The staff, especially our wedding coordinator Kat, were amazing! For as busy as the ladies are, they are excellent at quickly returning emails and answering questions. Our guests were floored when they saw the ballrooms on the 12th floor and were equally impressed with the service throughout the night. The food was amazing and they made my husband and I feel so special throughout the night. You can't go wrong if you go with Truffles!

I'm so happy we picked The Belvedere as our wedding venue! I got a ton of compliments on the rooms we used for our cocktail hour (The John Eagar Howard Room) and our reception (The Charles Room). Kat was our wedding coordinator and she was super responsive and fun to work with. I was also very pleased with the food. My mom and MIL were a little disappointed with the crab cake (they thought the one we had at the tasting had more lump crab meat), but for "wedding food" this was by far the best I've ever had and our guests seemed to agree :) Our Sugar Bakers Dulce De Leche cake was also a big hit! Another nice thing was we were able to head right over to the Owl Bar, which is also in the Belvedere, for an afterparty.
In short, if you're looking for a historical, city venue that isn't your typical hotel ballroom, I highly recommend The Belvedere and Truffles Catering!

How does one put into a few words how amazing the Truffles Catering staff AND the Belvedere is?
We had our March 24th,2012 wedding on the 12th floor and the entire party was absolutely perfect. Both ballrooms on the 12th floor were gorgeous, the staff was excellent, the food was superb and it was so easy to plan! I've never had more fun in one day on my life! I am going to miss talking to Kat on a regular basis! They made it so easy to plan all of the intricate details and provided excellent advice. Their list of preferred vendors is legit, too! Everyone I contracted for our wedding was based on Truffles' list of vendors, and they were all excellent. Nothing went wrong on the day of the wedding and I wouldn't trade it for anything - we had a blast and our guests are still complimenting us on what a beautiful venue the Belvedere is! I couldn't be more pleased! (and if anything DID go wrong - I wasn't privy to it, because the Truffles staff probably handled it with such grace that it wasn't an issue!)

I still drive past The Belvedere on my way to work and I wish I could do it all over again. Truffles staff is amazing. Kat helped me every step of the way, she would let me bounce ideas off of he'r and sent me to the best vendors who knew how to use the space. She always made me feel welcome and never a bother. Sondra was amazing to work with she has a great eye and has made the building look amazing. On the day of the wedding Heather kept everything flowing well and our bridal attendant kept us calm. Another great thing was the 13th floor was a great place to keep our party going and the professionalism and work ethic stretches up there as well. Like I said I am already trying to plan my next event there!!!

The original reason we liked the The Belvedere was because of the historic feel, its ability to accommodate the amount of guests we were having, and most importantly, we were able to meet with the owner to discuss our wedding. Other places had passed us off to assistants, and not given us personal attention. Truffles went above and beyond for me, letting me bring in any decor I wanted, and helped me find wick-less candles, which you need in Baltimore City. Not only was their service impeccable, but my guests couldn't stop talking about the food! Truffles included my wedding cake as part of my contract, which came from Sugarbakers in Catonsville. It was also amazing!! Kat helped me with every step of the planning process, and they made my night unforgettable! They are absolutely fabulous, and I can't give them enough praise!

Our experience with the Belvedere was fabulous. I never waited for an answer nor did I have any questions or concerns that were not immediately addressed. The Belvedere has significantly upgraded many (if not all) of its ballrooms, and they are spectacular. It is an older facility, and great care has been taken to maintain the integrity of the history of this beautiful building, while still providing a new and clean look. The Belvedere was our last stop, and once we walked in the Charles room we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. The place is beautiful and our pictures came out amazing. I had a Saturday evening wedding at the Belvedere in late October, and I spent about 9 months planning the event. We had 150 guests... the ceremony and reception took place in the Charles room and the cocktail hour was in the JE Howard room. The venue is AMAZING, and just walking into the rooms is breathtaking-- high ceilings, ornate but classy decor, stunning light fixtures, new carpet, vibrant hard wood dance floors and elegant furniture. You can't go wrong if you want a true ballroom feel, and you really don't need to do much in the way of decorations because the rooms are already stunning (I had simple candelabras and roses for centerpieces, and that was all I used).
Working with Truffles catering was a dream. They were so friendly, responsive, and professional throughout the entire process. They genuinely go out of their way to make every accommodation that you could want. You truely feel as though you are the only bride they are catering to, and that's the way it should be!
I am a highly organized person and I like structure. Truffles provided me with just that by having every little detail very well outlined in contracts and in schedules. They made the wedding day smooth and seamless, and are able to answer all questions and make any last minute changes you might want.
Truffles offers specific 'packages' to choose from for your wedding. They are able to combine certain aspects of the packages to fit your needs though. I chose the mid-level package. Their menu selection is fairly good, but I found it to be the typical wedding food, maybe a little upgraded... nothing out of this world. All standard packages include 5 hour open bar which is a huge plus, and you can customize your bar preferences.
My only disappointment would have to be the food. At the food tasting, dinner was excellent. We had filet and shrimp and they were prepared to perfection. We chose this for our dinner menu. The beef was completely different (tougher and cut differently), the shrimp were much smaller than the ones at the tasting, the appearance was lacking (looked dried out), and our meals were not piping hot as you would desire. It certainly was not a disaster... it still tasted delicious, but nothing compared to our initial food tasting.
Overall, I give them close to 5 stars. If you are looking for one venue that will do everything for you, provide you with a classy and elegant ambiance, and make wedding planning practically effortless, then this is the place! My guests raved about the experience... and I had a very upscale, snooty group of people there. :o)
If you want a historic, elegant venue with a catering staff on site, you won't be disappointed with Truffles at the Belvedere!

Our wedding at the Belvedere went off without a hitch! We received so many comments on how beautiful the ballrooms were and how delicious the food was. Having the Owl Bar on sight was very convenient as our guests arrived to the reception a little before the cocktail hour start time. Above all, it was a pleasure to work with the staff. Kat had a timeline which kept us all on track and we knew exactly what to expect and what our responsibilitites were. The ballrooms are elegant. Our guests raved about the food--the quality and presentation. Vanessa was very kind and attentive in the bridal suite. Having access to parking was especially helpful for out of town guests and those not familiar with the area. Attending the open house was helpful in selecting the photographer, florist and wedding cake.

We had my daughter's wedding reception at the Belvedere and everything about the experience was wonderful! The Truffles staff, especially Kat, was extremely helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to make several changes including adding 2 extra guests on the day of the wedding. It is clear that the entire staff knows what they are doing and REALLY want the bride's day to be perfect.
One of the things I most appreciated was their guidance and organization. During the food tasting (delicious!) Kat ran through a detailed checklist and made us aware of things we'd already done, things we still needed to do, and some things we hadn't thought of. It was extremely helpful.
During the reception, right before the bridal party was announced, one of the guests collapsed and required medical attention (she was fine). The staff didn't miss a beat. Even though the food was already in the process of being cooked, they put it on hold, suggested a couple of changes to the program, and everything worked out beautifully.
I felt like we received tremendous value with Truffles. They handled everything. I didn't need a wedding planner, rented linens, rented chairs or additional decorations as was the case with other venues we looked at. The Grand Ballroom was spectacular and our guests couldn't get over how elegant everything was. The food was at the level of a gourmet restaurant and everyone loved the passed hors d'oeuvres.
I would highly recommend Truffles Catering for a wedding or other special occasion - I couldn't have been happier!

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at the Belvedere. Every aspect of the planning and day was best in class and the staff and team truly provided a superior level of service. I worked with Kat throughout the planning process and she was incredibly responsive and quick to answer my questions. I am not a very organized person, especially for a bride, and I had initially considered getting a wedding planner but that was completely unnecessary. Kat kept me on track with frequently updated to-do lists and deadlines that kept me on schedule. Because so many things are included (food, linens, my cake), and the ballrooms are pretty and ornate enough to not require additional decorating, my list of vendors was minimal and easy to manage. Our vendors coordinated directly with Truffles, creating efficiency and keeping me as much out of the process as possible!
Leading up to the wedding, we had several occasions to visit the Belvedere through Truffles's VIB (Very Important Bride) group. This was an invaluable opportunity to try some of the food in advance of our tasting, stay in touch with the Truffles Team, and see the improvements to the space throughout the year first hand. If I could give 6 stars in one category, it would be Flexibility. Throughout the entire planning process up through the reception itself, Kat, Averil, Heather and the staff were incredibly flexible. From tweaks in the menu, to seating chart changes, to last minute guests, they were always able to accommodate me. The ultimate example and test occurred when my grandma had a medical emergency minutes before the bridal party was announced to dinner. Without missing a beat the staff kept are guests calm and content with salads and full glasses, and quickly rearranged the schedule to keep things on track. My grandma was fine, the food still came out perfect, and despite the rough start, many many guests told my parents it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. I absolutely recommend this venue.

DON'T DO IT AT THE BELVEDERE.. I don't know who wrote the previous reviews but it couldn't be anyone who paid for this place. It is a beautiful venue, and they do a good job which they are courting you and up until you sign the contract. After that all bets are off. They show u a beautiful tasting and you are really impressed with their concern and sincerity, but the wedding reception food was nothing like it was at the tasting. The owner is boring and tells you anything you want to hear. Then she is invisible and the staff takes over. Not even half of the food presented is on the reception plate. They hide the crab and shrimp in a salsa pulverized., but at the tasting it is good sized portions that disappear when time for the reception. Horrible interaction, and responsiveness, and the sad part is we were warned the food was not good and we let their words and pretty Venue sway us. Don't make the same mistake. They swear you got everything you paid for and won't even give your band or photographers a soda. Closed bar early until you catch them. Items missing the whole nine yards. Maybe it was sold again?? But don't do it....

My husband and I do not have enough praises for the Truffles team - Sondra, Kat, Heather, Bob and everyone else who worked to make our wedding truly a dream. From the months leading up to the event to the day of, we were continually impressed by the professionalism, flexibility, and friendliness of the staff. Indeed, we felt like we were visiting friends every time we talked about planning the event. Considering the considerable stress of wedding planning, we were so grateful to have found such a wonderful team and beautiful location as the Belvedere. All of our guests were impressed and still talk about how beautiful our wedding was. I should mention that we had an Indian wedding, which the Truffles team help us to execute beautifully according to our tradition and cultures. Not an easy feat. The Belvedere has three of the top things you look for in a wedding venue: one-of-a kind ambiance, awesome food, and an incredible Staff. We got married this past August (the day of Hurricane Irene!) in their 12 Floor Grand Ballroom and we had such a great experience. The ballroom itself is something out of a Cinderella Story and their Chef should probably be working in a five star restaurant – his food is fantastic. The staff were all so incredible – very helpful and treated our guests with the utmost respect and courtesy. We would also really like to thank the staff for being so flexible with their service. Unexpectedly, the dance floor was completely packed before dinner service, which made it so much more difficult for them to serve the different courses with people all over the place. They did an awesome job and we appreciate their flexibility. We would like to especially recognize Vanessa, who greeted us as we entered the Belvedere and took care of us the entire night! She was amazing – anything we needed or could have wanted, she had for us (even before we had to ask – it was as if she was reading our minds!). She is a true asset to the Belvedere.
And a very special thanks to our Event Manager, Heather Bonic. From the beginning she helped to make our special day truly amazing! You would have never known that there was a hurricane outside because inside we were all having the time of our lives! Thank you to the Belvedere for making that happen for us!

We had the wedding of our dreams at the Belvedere on July 23, 2011. The staff at Truffles Catering has weddings down to an ART! Once I selected my vendors (their preferred vendor list is spectacular) I had nothing else to worry about.
We had our ceremony and reception in the Charles Room with a cocktail hour in the John Eager Howard room across the hall. The Charles Room is such a stunning room and the ambiance there is exactly what we were going for - classic, elegant, Baltimore.
The food was amazing. We selected the crab dip and shrimp st. james appetizers and the shared plate of gouda chicken and chil-rubbed beef. Our guests felt like royalty and it was all thanks to the hard-working team at Truffles Catering.
I highly recommend this vendor and cannot say enough about how amazing they are. People kept asking me why I wasn't going nuts the month before my wedding and I just kept saying "I'm getting married at the Belvedere - what could I possibly have to worry about?"

In a dark world of irresponsible and difficult vendors, Truffles catering is like a bright beacon of nearly-religious hope. I cannot imagine how much harder planning a wedding would have been without their guidance. Any question you have--they answer within a day. Any difficulty you encounter--they help you solve. Have last minute guests show up, perhaps uninvited? No problem, they can handle that. Beautiful venue, delicious food. What more could you ask for? They even have a variety of pricing packages, so you can find something that is within your budget.

Working with Heather (she's awesome) and the team at Truffles was amazing and they really helped us throughout the planning process. When it came to the week of the wedding, they were so willing to accommodate all of our last minute requests like getting access to the ballroom the day before to put everything in place. Truffles was wonderful. The Belvedere was a stunning venue and the staff and planners really made everything very easy and stress-free. It was defnitely in the upper range of our budget, but it was worth it. Be aware of "add-ons" however, things like champagne toasts, table cloth draping, extra deserts (besides the cake), etc sound good on paper but can add up to large amount of $$ especially when you end up with a large guest list. We got married March 26, 2011 at the Belvedere. We decided to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on the 12th floor which worked so well for our guests and reduced the running from one place to another. It is hard to believe it's been a year since my wedding at the Belvedere. My husband Beau and I knew the minute we stepped off the elevator onto the 12th floor that we had to get married at the Belvedere. You can't find event space like that anywhere else in Baltimore, it is magical.
Not only was the Belvedere everything my husband and I wanted in a venue the staff made planning our big day so enjoyable. Sondra, Kat and the rest of the the Truffles team were very accommodating and were happy to help us plan the unique reception my husband and I envisioned.
Reflecting on that amazing day 1 year later, we agree there is no where else we would have wanted to have our wedding reception than at the Belvedere.

Having my reception at the Belvedere made my reception just like a fairytale wedding. The Belvedere is beautiful but all the people we work with in catering service, Truffles, made the day go so smoothly. The chef himself, the coordinator, and all the bridal assistants the day of the wedding made it such a great experience. The food was outstanding and we received so many compliments from our guests on it. They were very flexible with food choices as well. My fiance at the time had a peanut allergy. Truffles Catering was one of the best decisions I made for my big day!!!

We had our wedding reception on the 12th floor, which was beautiful! The staff leading up to the event were all very friendly, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. The wait staff that day also completely catered to my husband and me- making plates for us and keeping our drinks filled. My only complaint- we served a paired entree for dinner, which was given to every guest regardless of vegetarian preference or food allergies. The guests that required these special meals were clearly marked on the seating charts and discussed with the staff well in advance, however were not served to our guests. The couple of special meals that did get served were only to the few guests that knew to ask for the special plate and weren't afraid to speak up.

Everyone at The Belvedere and Truffles Catering was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only were they extremely attentive throughout the whole planning process, answering numerous emails and phone calls and making sure that everything was all set and ready, there was also a Belvedere rep there whenever we needed them for anything at all the evening of the event. One of the women was even nice enough to give me her bobby pin right before the ceremony when my hair started to come a little loose in one spot. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride who wants to have the best night of her life at her wedding ceremony and reception.

Truffles provided not only a breathtaking backdrop for my reception and cocktail hour but a level of professionalism which I have never experienced. My guests were welcomed, treated like royalty and never left without a drink or incredible food in hand. Most raved that the food was not "wedding food" but something you would have a a fine dining restaurant. They were extremely flexible and responsive when I changed floor plans and vendors until the day before my wedding. They managed to keep us running on time without ever allowing us to feel pressured. Every last detail was taken care of from start to finish. I could not be happier to recommend this venue and if I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. You will not be sorry you chose them.

Worked with us every step of the way to give us what we wanted. Let us into the ballroom early to decorate a few things the way we wanted. Allowed us to make changes up to the day of the reception. Returned calls and emails very quickly. The ballroom was beautiful and the food was great.

The Belvedere is an excellent location for a wedding. We had our reception there and were very pleased, and our guests were too. The staff were very helpful, patient and easy to work with. Service got a 4.5/5 because the waiting staff didn't pay very good attention to who got served what for dinner, but other than that, we had a great experience. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Belvedere in August of 2010. The entire experience with the Belvedere and Truffles was wonderful from start to finish. Our wedding coordinator was so helpful from day one....she really helped us stay on track, make decisions, and understand our options! She was very responsive and always took phone calls or called me immediately back. The food at our reception was AMAZING! Our guests were really wowed by our wedding dinner and by the spread at the cocktail hour...many many people compared it to the quality of a meal that you would get at a fancy restaurante! Everything arrived hot, perfectly cooked, and delicious (not to mention pretty - very artistic presentation). Our bar was also fantastic and the staff did a great job of being quick and not letting lines get long. Our entire banquet team on the day of was great overall! They had the timing of things down perfectly and were very organized. I didn't have to worry about a thing. We used the bridal suite before and after our ceremony and that was also a really nice experience...we had a nice little spread of food and beverages and our bridal suite attendent was so sweet and helpful!
I would 110% recommend the Belvedere to anyone planning a wedding in the Baltimore or Maryland area! I, admittedly, can be a very picky person and not always the easiest to please, but the team at Truffles and the Belvedere FAR exceeded my expectations!

On the day of the Actual reception we were amazed and more then pleased (surprised?), Service and Food 4.5 stars. Every one was professional and every one was attentive.
It was the time leading up to the wedding day that caused many a nights distress. We don't blame them, Truffles has been sold 3 times in less then 2 years (it seems) and nearly everyone we started the process with in November was gone by New Years. As time went on problems cropped up and changes had to be made less then 6 weeks from the wedding and it just seemed no one had answers. it was always I will have to check or I will have to get back to you... As I said We were more then pleased on the day of, but two months before the wedding we were flipping a coin about finding a new venue. I am sure it will only get better as it all did get pulled off spectacularly. Oh and their "premium" Bar is not "premium", if you have friends and family that drink or enjoy fine wine & spirits they will be disappointed.

Truffles Catering at The Belvedere did a phenomenal job on the day of our wedding! As soon as we visited The Belvedere for the first time we knew we wanted to have our ceremony and reception there. The Belvedere has a great history and every ballroom is classy and beautiful but we fell in love with the Grand Ballroom. Our pictures are visually stunning with the beautiful décor and the amazing chandeliers. There was a little bit of turnover with the management during our planning process which caused us some initial concern, but in the end, Heather had total control of the event and everything ran smoothly. They worked with our many requests to do things a little differently than the norm. The food was absolutely delicious and people are still talking about the bacon-wrapped shrimp and the crab dip! We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding.

The meetings for planning and food choices were very professional and efficient. The planning staff was excellent and easy to contact via phone or e-mail. However on the day of our Wedding some of the final touches that had been pre-planned fell apart. The bridal suite was not open for my wedding party while we were finishing pictures and when they attempted to find someone to help them get in there was no one available. Once the wedding party got in the suite, the appetizers we chose for the reception were not there for the bridal party as we had asked in advance. Also there were about 6 beers for our bridal party of 14 plus parents and spouses!! The service to the bridal suite was slow as well. The reception was beautiful though, except for a small leak in the ceiling right in front of the sweetheart table! Looking back I don't think anyone noticed other than us, but the point was we noticed and we were paying for it

Overall, the service and venue was great at the Belvedere and I would get married there again. Judy, who works in the office was great at offering suggestions and listening to what we wanted. The day of coordinator, Joan, was bossy at times and some details we had discussed with Judy did not get passed on to Joan - these were minor but still a little annoying.
I would suggest to all brides and grooms to try and see the rooms before the event. I did this and had the ability to fix some minor placement of things. I had rented single candle 'pew' candles to go down the aisle. They had arrived in the low position and would have remained that way if I had not seen them and had my cousin help raise them to eye level. I first tried to tell Joan about this but she didn't want to listen to me and just kept telling me everything would be fine which was odd because I was just trying to tell her calmly how they were supposed to be. I just had to walk over and show her.
Also, my dress never got bustled because Joan "had never seen a bustle like this before". No one could figure it out even though I was trying to tell them what I knew and how to do it. Looking back on everything, I think I should have been more assertive but Joan thought she knew everything. Joan did do a great job at keeping the time-line going and making sure the servers did a great job.
All in all, I would have my wedding there again as the venue is great and you don't need to break the bank with flowers and such since the rooms are so beautiful as is; the food is delicious too. Most of the little things that didn't go exactly right were not noticed by anyone but us.

I absolutely loved the Belvedere. My rating seems a little low solely because I was very unhappy with the responsiveness throughout my planning process. The sales person was very responsive before we signed a contract and afterwards I had a very hard time getting her to completely answer my questions. I was planning from across the country- and perhaps a little paranoid- fbut I felt like MANY of my emails and phone calls weren't returned in a timely matter by that person. That being said- The Belvedere is a finely oiled machine and the wedding day was absolutely seamless.
They're value for cost is great. Food was excellent- all details covered. Poured great drinks. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful- they were awesome. Our day of coordinator- Joan- was super helpful and a total sweetheart. We heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests about everything and we really couldn't have been happier.
They are pretty flexible- not a ton of rules- which was also nice.

The ballrooms at The Belvedere are incredibly elegant and provided a great space for ceremony and reception. The rooms themselves are so beautiful that little decoration with flowers is necessary. Trufffles food was good and their day of service was excellent. The bridal manager at our wedding (Joan) and all her support staff made everything run smoothly and accomodated all our needs. Everything was handled very professionally. I especially liked having the bridal suite for before and after the ceremony. Having a minute to breathe (and eat some snacks) was very nice. This was repeated when Joan had my husband and I stay back in the cocktail room while the guests were seated for dinner. Gave us a chance to eat something and just relax with each other for 5 minutes.

The folks at Truffles were fabulous. We had a tasting about two months before and were a little bit worried because we did not like some of the items. We talked with our coordinator and altered the menu a bit - and the food at the wedding was absolutely fantastic (especially the herb crusted salmon and the baby lamb chops!). We coordinated dozens of small details with the staff - from placecards, to a memory table with photographs, candy for the tables and programs and kippahs - and every single direction we gave to them they followed to the letter. The Bridal suite on the second floor was spacious and lovely. We were assigned a primary coordinator and a staff person for the event that day and they were both amazing. Every time we drive through downtown we look at the Belvedere with affection.

I would not recommend the Belverdere to a future bride. We got a good value and they were very responsibe if the pre-planning of the wedding. However, the following things did not go correct on our wedding day:
1. We asked and were told there would be 2 bars set up. There were only 1.
2. My wedding cake was supposed to have black and red designs on it. The wedding cake was all white.
3. Guests did not enjoy a shared plate of chicken au'pove and rockfish. There were whole pepercorns on the chicken which made it not edible. The rockfish also had so many bones in it is was not edible. Most embarassingly, a picture of the plate was on Facebook and the caption said, "What did you have for dinner? Peppercorns or Fishbones?"
4. I was told my husband and I would have a "bridal attendant" the day of our wedding who would be by our side for anything we needed. Why did I have to stand it line to get a drink multiple times? Also, why was a 2nd bar never put up?
5. I created a schedule of events for the reception for when each course was supposed to come out, toasts, dances etc. It was a bit out of the ordinary where the first course wasn't served until an hour after the reception started. I was very upset that after my husband and I were introduced and we did our first dance that the salads began coming out to the guests...45 minutes early.
The good: beautiful rooms and 5 star cocktail hour.

Everything the day of the wedding was beautiful and went very smoothly. Our family and friends were very impressed with the grand ballroom and the history of the Belvedere. We weren't really a part of the cocktail hour but our guests said the appetizers were very good and waiters were very attentive. We also got rave reviews on the cake. My only concern during the planning process was they were not very responsive to emails and phone calls, but whenever we had meeting they were very willing to work with us on things. The day of the wedding there was a personal attendant to the bride and groom which I thought was a very nice touch:)

The Belvedere is one of the most unique spaces in Baltimore, and a very striking venue for a wedding. There are very few locations left in Baltimore the survived the fire of 1904 that have all of the great Gilded Age architecture and design accents, and the Belvedere is probably the best example in town. Wedding guests are always 'wowed' by the ballrooms. We've done dozens upon dozens of fantastic weddings there, we highly recommend it!
