Tybee Island Wedding

I was worried at first that the suggested time of 7:30p.m. would be too early for a sunset wedding. The sun began to set just after the ceremony and was PERFECT for the pictures taken of David and me afterward. Also, I strongly suggest to future brides to opt for the package that includes photography. We were thrilled with our pictures and feel that it was a great value for getting so many wonderful pictures without a copyright. Overall, our experience was wonderful and our wedding couldn't have been more perfect.

My husband and I had a beautiful beach wedding on Tybee Island, Ga. with the help of Tybee Island Wedding. Stephen and Jennifer Palmer were wonderful to us. We are from Ohio and having a long distance connection made all the difference. We had help with the cake, photographer, flowers and officiant. It was romantic and beautiful. Stephen did the actual ceremony. He was awesome, warm, and enduring and set the tone for the whole wedding. Love the photographs and the cake was delicious. I will highly reccomend their services to all of my friends when they're thinking about a destination wedding.

She suggested many great vendors to use as well as other wedding things that I wasn't thinking of. She's been doing this for years and knows everything you need help with as well as is familiar with everything & anything on Tybee. On the morning of the wedding, she met us around 7 am to help set up the reception and was there until 11pm to help us clean up after. She is an amazing person and I'm so happy that I booked her! Stephen was also our officiant and the ceremony was just as he had described to me! I would 100% recommend them to anyone that is getting married on Tybee Island! Thank you again!!

Wonderful, Wonderful people! Our wedding was beautiful. Sephen and the photagrapher were very laid back and calm. He gave a breif but very beautiful speech. I do reccomend that you dod pay the extra money for the cordinator. It wil move things on alot faster aqnd it makes things more organized when it's time to get started. I didn't have one so our our ceremony started off a little rocky.
Overall, it was worth every penny and If I had to do it all over again i would still use TIW :))))

Tybee Island Weddings were absolutly wonderful. Jennifer and Stephen were so amazing. I went with the luxury package which has Jennifer as the coordinator and I wouldn't do it any other way. I had no stress the entire time she handled everything for me and it was done all through email no long drawn out phone calls. She asked me what I wanted I would send pictures and bam she did it. She has the perfect personality for the job and is very good at what she does. Talk about flexible I think I was late to everything the whole weekend from meeting her to give her my supplies to the rehersal, but she was cool as a cucumber and didn't make me feel rushed at all. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any type of wedding they were so great I would do it all over again! Thank you guys for the most PERFECT day ever:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I actually gave somebody 5 stars for something, but that's how awesome Tybee Island Wedding is! I talked mostly to Jennifer on the phone, and she was friendly and professional. I had a lot of fears at first, paying a deposit for services from a company I'd never heard of before, but she put all my fears to rest.

Stephen officiated, and he was the best!!! Even though I had never met him before, he treated my now-husband and myself like old friends! He was totally calm and collected, and he even loaned us bug spray! lol

Shannon, the photographer, was awesome too! One of the reasons I was so impressed was because we had a sunrise ceremony, on a Tuesday, and I felt awful because I had seen on their website that they try to take that day off. But the date was special to us. So here I am worrying "I hope these people don't hate us for taking up time on their off day AND getting them up at sunrise." NOPE! They were in a great mood when we arrived, and throughout. Shannon even thanked us for having a sunrise ceremony, because he loves taking pictures of the sun rising over the ocean!

Everything was perfect. It was just the two of us, and it went according to our wildest dreams. I'm so glad that we did it this way, and having it done on the beach was incredible. I would recommend Tybee Island Wedding to everyone!!!

Tybee Island... I always wanted to be married on the beach, barefoot with the sun, breeze and smell of salt air. Steven Palmer was the perfect topping on our PERFECT wedding day. My only advise to brides is to not worry too much about your hair! Our night beach wedding was perfect for us. Tybee Island Weddings was helpful from beginning to end. It was virtually worry-free from beginning to end too!

Tybee Island Wedding was exactly what we were looking for. They were totally flexible and great about communicating with us and helping us plan our wedding. We wanted a simple, elegant service on the beach, and we got just that. Stephen and Jennifer showed us the utmost hospitality and patience, even after we showed up fifteen minutes late (yes to our own wedding) and without a marriage license. The photographer that they recommended to us was equally accomodating. We requested his services at the last minute, and he showed up and delivered. Everyone who has seen the photos has commented on their beauty. I would recommend Tybee Island Wedding to anyone who wants their wedding day to be an unforgetable experience.

Stephen and Jennifer made everything about planning our wedding wonderful. My husband and I live in Illinois, and since we had never been to Tybee Island before, we had to put a lot of trust in them. They found the perfect location on the beach for us and talked us through the whole process. Anytime I emailed Tybee Island Wedding with a question, Stephen or Jennifer would respond right away. They were so kind, informative, and helpful throughout the whole process. I honestly could not have picked a better company for our wedding.

If I could go back and change anything about that day I wouldn't. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and the fact that we did not have to worry about anything was wonderful that is was already taken care of. The pictures turned out wonderful and was delivered at our hotel by that night because we left for a cruise the next day. They had wonderful suggestions on where to stay and what to do while on the island. They made our time there something we will never forget. I hope to continue to revisit the island every year and it holds great memories thanks to them.

They were FANTASTIC. Couldn't have been happier with their service.

Tybee Island Wedding's Stephen Palmer was born to officiate at weddings. Our wedding was the loveliest experience we've ever had. My husband and I have both had previous marriages, and we agree that never before have the ceremony's words resonated so truly; and we attribute that completely to Stephen Palmer's delivery. He emphasizes absolutely the right phrases, and he brings such life to the words that the entire ceremony is lifted to a different level than even dreamers expect. We could not have had a more wonderful experience. We had the PERFECT wedding. Thank you, Tybee Island Wedding!

Tybee Island Weddings was so easy to work with. Jennifer provided excellent information and answered all my emails promptly. Having never been to the island, I had to rely on her to suggest the best location. It was perfect!
Once the ceremony was over, the photographer worked with us to get some great shots. She was so patient and accommodating.
Our photo disc was personally delivered later that afternoon by Stephen. He met us at the restaurant where we were just finishing dinner. Talk about great service!

We had the wedding on the beach and they picked the spot on the beach to have the ceremony. I couldn't have picked a better spot myself. They were very helpfull with everything that I needed or wanted for the wedding. The minister, Stephen, was amazing. I got the opitional sand ceremony and it was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better ceremony. I will recommend Tybee Island Wedding to everyone I know that is getting married.

Tybee Island Wedding coordinators were friendly, patient and professional. The website fully described all price ranges, packages and options. Payment schedule was also provided and secure payment method (Paypal) was an added benefit.
The location for the ceremony was perfect with plenty of parking and easy beach-access for those with mobility issues (such as myself who is not too sure-footed.)
I was able to reach both coordinators with multiple contact numbers & email addresses provided. All calls were returned promptly and no question was too "silly." It was truly so easy to plan.
The ceremony itself was easy-paced; no rushing here. One party ran a little over yet nobody seemed to mind. There was a seating area apart from the wedding area in which to wait. All paperwork was handled quickly, and a marriage memento suitable for framing was provided. (A very nice touch.) There was a photographer at the ready and again, it was effortless.
Vows, added sand ceremony and the atmosphere was just serene and peaceful. Very heartfelt in delivery, and full of emotion and beauty.
This is how planning a wedding ought to be and a marriage should start off. This was a perfect fit for us, and would recommend Tybee Island Wedding for creating the wedding of a lifetime!

Jennifer Palmer knows her stuff! She has great ideas and helpful tips to share. She goes above and beyond when it comes to getting what the bride wants (and for the right price!). She responds quickly to emails/phone calls and always with an answer. She is calm and reassuring during moments of panic (the bride's panic that is).

We could not have asked for anything more perfect for our special day. The location, flowers, photography, music, setting (all arranged for us by TIW - thanks Steve & Jennifer!)... it was all extraordinary! Not only was the wedding perfect, but Tybee Island is an ideal place to vacation. We had never visited Tybee before and we were captivated by its charm. We sincerely recommend Tybee Island Weddings!

When I started looking for someone to do my wedding, one of the first companies I came across was Tybee Island Wedding. I loved the set-up of their website as soon as I saw it. Any questions I had were answered quickly. There are several ways to get in touch with Stephen and Jennifer and they are always happy to help. I just had a very small beach ceremony with civil vows. No photographer, catered meal, reception, or anything like that. Just a few close friends and family barefoot on the beach. It didn't cost very much at all and I was glad because my daughter had just come out of the hospital so we didn't have much money. We plan on using TIW to renew our vows sometime down the road. The Palmers are a very nice couple and they love what they do. They want to make sure they make their clients happy and they know just how to do that. Stephen called right before my ceremony was to start to make sure we knew how to get there and he was very patient when we arrived a few minutes late. It also took us a few minutes to find our family on the beach. He performed a beautiful ceremony and personalized it just for us. We'd gotten married on our 10 year anniversary and Stephen made reference to that during the ceremony, and to something else as well. Jennifer emailed me periodically and answered all the questions I had, even the ones I should have known the answers to already. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

What started out to be a small intimate ceremony with just the two of us turned into a group of about thirty of our closest friends and family and it was absolutely wonderful! Tybee Island Wedding provided exactly what I wanted...it was beautiful.

I really need to take some time to detail the reasons why this review differs so much from all of the other 'glowing' reviews. It is very puzzling to me how our experience could be on the verge of 'unpleasant' in the face of all of these accolades. At this point, I can make the assumption that since we did not purchase a package from TIW that included the officiant and reception, we were a very low priority.

Tybee is a small community and along with the fabulousness of that are the drawbacks. Everyone knows everyone and longstanding conflicts can interfere or influence the way business is done. There is also a bizzarre animosity between natives of Tybee Island and natives of Savannah. and each set is extremely protective of their opportunity for revenue. EXTREMELY.

All that said, when we opted to go to Savannah for our reception, when we chose a 'competing' officiant, and opted for a la carte services from TIW (we chose a professional nonlocal photographer, opted for limited floral services because we had an 'on staff' florist, a Savannah wedding cake vendor, etc) it was almost as if we had irreparably offended and I sincerely believe that is why our experience with Jennifer was less than satisfactory.

I think they are likely perfect (obviously from the other reviews) for last minute elopements, very casual ceremonies and receptions, small attendance, . . . basically the opposite of our specific needs.

These two perfectly matched my laid back and relaxed approach to wedding planning. They never pressured us to make quick decisions, but were always there to help us make decisions, provide advice and suggestions. I couldn't have been happier with our working relationship and would recommend working with Tybee Island Wedding to anyone. They know what they are doing - don't try to come up with new original ideas on your own - ask for tips and ideas. And, they seem to know everyone on the island, if you need something done, just ask. Our planning couldn't have been easier, and our day couldn't have gone more smoothly. Thanks again, a billion times.

I was very pleased with my weddding at Tybee Island. It was very last minute but it ended up being beautiful. Stephen was a great minister and he also took some beautiful photos of my husband and I as well. I really recommend their services for anyone looking for a quick yet still meaningful wedding or elopement. My husband and I had to get married fast because he is in the military and this was the perfect way to go about it for us. The scenery was beautiful and we were married in a very personal and meaningful way. I will never forget the day we were married at Tybee it had stormed earlier that day but right before we got to Tybee the storm cleared and we had a beautiful wedding. I really recommend Stephen as he helped us make our special day memorable and was very nice and fun to talk to. When my fiance and I decided that we were not going to settle for a court house ceremony that would reflect us, nor would I be the beaming bride that I am today. I literally stumbled across Tybee Island Weddings, researching a local destination for our honeymoon! I no sooner saw the pictures of the happy couples on the website, when I made the call to my fiance and told him I knew where we were going to get married. Since we had unwillingly decided that the local county courthouse would "have to do", we hadn't really given ourselves a time frame in which we thought anyone would be able to work with us, but Stephen and Jennifer gave us several different options and with out much effort on our part other than showing up and having the rings, we were given a very personal and memorable ceremony that was truely all about us. We also decided to use one of their photographers who was equally as enthusiastic about our special day! We had a great wedding, exactly what we wanted! It couldn't have gone better!

Stephen and Jennifer are great people who are experienced and resourceful. They helped me plan a wonderful day!

Stephen and Jennifer made our vow renewal absolutely PERFECT. It was a fairy tale of simple proportions for us. Our children stood up for us and we were the only ones there. They picked a gorgeous spot on the South end of Tybee Island and it was post card perfect. I wouldn't have changed anything about it except that we were 15 minutes late for our own service :) Only we could have done that. Anyway, you would be wise beyond all wisdom to let these two help you with your special day. We didn't have a lot, but I know that they have a lot to offer beyond what we did that day. Jennifer was amazing! Any hesitation I had about having a destination wedding or never meeting her in person beforehand was gone - she answered all my questions, helped with every detail, and assured me everything would be fine before I even knew there might be a problem getting on to a movie set to get married! They definitely know how to make it a stress free day at the beach!

Awesome to work with. I was very lucky to have found Jennifer because she made a destination wedding so much easier for me. Jennifer was always timely in responding to my emails. I met her in person on one occassion but in reality, there was no need for it because she kept me informed. Of the services I asked for, I rented chairs, bought flowers for the "aisle way" on the beach, Stephen was our officiate, and we had a classical guitarist. Everything turned out beautifully. What I love the most about Jennifer and Stephen services is that they took care of getting the marriage license recorded for us!! How thoughtful and stress free they made it out to be.

Jennifer works SO hard to make sure that your day is what you want it to be, not matter the obstacles in front of her.
