I had an overwhelming experience in working with Anna Maier-Ulla Maija Couture. They were gracious, comforting and they ensured my wedding gown was the star of the event. They are unique and their professionalism carried throughout the wedding planning process from the design to the fitting. My guests continually complimented on how my dress fit me like a glove, and this was due to the detailed eye of Charles and his wonderful team at Anna Maier-Ulla Maija Couture. They made my special day more than I could have ever asked for.

I have to say that my wedding dress was the most beautiful!! It was a fabulous couture gown totally fitted to me, and I literally mean they made it piece by piece for me. The dress was called Reine. The staff was so professional, my designer Allison made any adjustment I wanted and made sure it looked flawless on me. I have seen other friends get fitted for dresses other places & I can tell you my experience was so much more personal at Ulla Maija. It was worth every penny! The dress was made to my body, so amazing, fit me perfect!!

Ulla Maija is the only dress label I found that offered couture fitting by the owner himself. Very professional! And the dutchess satin fabric is so lovely. It is worth spending a little bit more money on an ulla maija dress.

silk tissue taffeta felt a bit papery and not quite as luxe as the satins i had previously tried on, petted, and otherwise felt up. however, it turned out to be a smart choice for our outdoor summer wedding as it's quite breathable and lighter in weight. it also shimmers beautifully despite not being satin. i loved how the dress was a little fuller than many a-line gowns [there are a couple of layers of tulle built into the skirt] but not as poofy as a ballgown. the combination of simplicity and attention to detail totally appealed to my minimalist sensibilities. the attention to draping, the pleats, the neckline, and back all made it look so beautiful on. the detachable train was fun as i got to do the cathedral-length thing for the ceremony [it totally makes you feel so bridal], but could take all that cumbersome fabric right off for the reception. lastly, i was so happy to find an a-line, strapless gown that looks great on petite frames.

Ulla-Maija made the dress after I had a muslin fitting, so the dress was made exactly to me! The dress came early, and the fabric was heavenly – they did a great job!
