Flora did a wonderful job with our wedding flowers! Most of the quotes we had received were a lot higher than Flora's. Flora's prices were much more reasonable and she was able to work with our budget to get us what we wanted. She had some very creative ideas for the centerpiece displays which turned out great! She made a trial centerpiece for us so we would have an idea of what everything would look like, and allowed us to make changes to our flowers until a few weeks prior to our wedding. I really appreciated her flexibility as I can be a bit indecisive :) She is also easy to get in touch with and doesn't mind drop in visits to ask questions either. On the day of the wedding, everything was delivered on time and looked just as we had discussed. I couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Thanks Flora!

Flora was one of the best of the best vendors I worked with for my wedding. Our first meeting was more than 2 hours. She was patient not only to listen but also to learn my taste; she wanted to find out what I liked and what my vision was to come up with the final design for my wedding. I was impressed and knew for sure I had come to the right place. The most beautiful thing was that she was willing and happy to work within my budget. Not like other florists gave me the impressions that my budget was so low to work with, that I couldn't afford their service. You know what, at the end, two weeks before the wedding, I added more and increased my flower budget with Flora. And it is worthy every penny. I am happy with my decision.


My vision was simple but elegant. When they opened the ceremony doors, it took my breath away. I didn't have a lot of flower but the simpleness, the color, the flower design, the smell of roses, the shiny of crystal vases, and the hanging rose balls created a gorgeous, elegant, and classy look for my ceremony. I got so many comments the whole night on flowers. The roses she picked were huge and they smelled so good. The color of her choices was exactly what I imagined and asked for. At the end of the night after everyone left, I stayed back and looked at all centerpieces, looked at all flowers before they took them away. It was so hard for me to leave them behind. They were so beautiful, so I took few centerpieces home and enjoyed them until our honeymoon. Flora did go out of her way to do the best for her clients like many previous reviews have mentioned.


Flora did not only work with me on my floral design, but also gave me tips and ideas how to make the decor look better, how to keep my theme together. She respected my opinions and always confirmed with me first on her ideas for my wedding flower even though I have told her I trusted her taste. It was so easy to work with and it felt so good when you could find the right person to work with for your special events. That was my feeling working with Flora. Flora provided us the most beautiful and elegant flowers and decor.

The flower bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages Ultimate Floral Designs prepared for our wedding were absolutely exquisite. They truly captured the exact style -flowy, romantic, soft and a bit wild- for which I had been looking! The only thing that makes me sad is that I can't keep the flowers forever -but they were enjoyed all the more in the moment!

Flora was extremely patient with me as I figured out what I wanted, and she met with me numerous times throughout the year-long engagement. She is a bit aloof, which made me nervous at times, but everything turned out great on the wedding day and I would trust her again for an important event.

Flora was absolutely amazing in every way, she is so sweet and caring and makes you feel like you've known her for such a long time even though it was our first time meeting. We had a very small budget for our flowers, as this was not our wedding but our engagement party, she is so talented and creative and was able to recommend some great ideas that both my fiance and I loved. Let me tell you this, when I saw my bouquet I fell in love with it, it was exactly what I had explained to her. My sweetheart table had a beautiful arrangement on it that everyone took pictures with...and the centerpieces were so fabulous!

Flora was wonderful to work with! Our flowers arrived on time all the way in Baltimore and were absolutely stunning. Flora's arrangements exceeded all of our dreams and expectations. She was there to setup four hours before our ceremony. Her "sofreh aghd" was uniquely elegant. She definitely provided the "wow" factor we were looking for, not only in the sofreh but also with the centerpieces. I think it was the most beautiful Sofreh I have ever seen. We had a small budget for flowers and Flora was completely accommodating. She suggested tulips as a lower price flower which turned out to provide another dimension to the centerpieces. We also borrowed vases free of charge and on top of that she provided a matching ribbon on the vase. Flora gave us a chuppah that she happened to have in her basement. There was a nice surprise when we saw free rose petals in our flower box. During the last minute, we asked for delivery and she provided the flowers on time.

My mother used her for our engagement party to create a centerpiece and it was another beautiful creation.

Besides costs, the flowers looked gorgeous. Tons of our guests commented on our nice selection. She delivered more than we expected. They did an incredible job and we have found our family florist to use for many other occasions!

I only bought my bouquets and boutonnieres (wristlets and pinned) from Ultimate Floral Design and their flowers turned out wonderful. Flora made my wedding day a dream come true! She was amazing from the day we met and I knew she was the perfect person to work with- she was very flexible, pleasant, and always very calm- a vendor that every bride needs on her team!

I had a 200-person wedding in a gorgeous new hotel in Arlington. Flora created 3 types of flower arrangements for us: 1) beautiful pink bouquets that we brought for our pictures at all the DC monuments- we had so many compliments and they made our pictures beautiful! 2) Flora also made elegant hydrangea centerpieces that made our reception and ballroom look fantastic! 3) Flora created gorgeous flower arrangements for our wedding ceremony- they had shades of different pinks and made the entire room light up. I interviewed a couple of florists and ended up going with Flora from Ultimate Floral Designs because she was very friendly, accommodating and had a great sense of style which translated through in her floral designs. She worked with me to pick just the right colors and flowers and even put some things together for me to view so I had an idea what they would look like in person, not just pictures and images. I recommend her highly.

What can I say about Flora... she is absolutely fabulous!!! My experience with Flora was wonderful. She made my vision come to life and went above and beyond all of my expectations. Even when she couldn't find the ranunculus I wanted, she still managed to find them 2 days before the wedding... just in time to put them in my bouquet and the boutonnieres.

Ultimate Floral Designs provided both my floral and "sofreh" arrangements for my Persian wedding on March 17, 2012 at Park Hyatt Washington DC. From the moment we began working with Flora, she provide the best client service and provided guidance on which color themes would work best for both our floral and "sofreh" arrangements. With her assistance, we decided on the color theme and she scheduled another session near the wedding date for us to view our actually centerpieces. This was invaluable to me and my family as it allowed us to visualize how everything would look in terms of flowers and "sofreh" pieces. On the actually wedding day, things couldn't be more seamless, Flora and her team got to the venue early and began setting the beautical and stunnind "sofreh" arrangement. I can't tell you how many people commented on the sofreh and flower arrangements, it was the most striking I've ever seen and I've been to a bunch of wedding. Flora and her team were very professional and provided their speacial touch from start to finish. My wedding couldn't be more elegant if it wasn't for Flora and her services.

Flora is amazing!! I showed her a couple pictures from pinterest and she was able to recreate it almost identically!! She was able to understand my style after chatting only once! She also made a lot of great suggestions when I was a little indecisive! The quality was outstanding...you get a lot of bang for your buck here!! Flora did an excellent job on our wedding ceremony and reception flowers. I knew I wanted to work with her because the first question she asked me was, "What is your budget?" It is important that a wedding vendor respects the budget, and I appreciated that she was very upfront about the price of everything. The flowers that she provided were gorgeous. She also rented matching table cloths for us and they were beautiful. I recommend allowing Flora to pick flowers that are seasonal and appropriate to use. She is the professional, so just give her your color scheme and let her work her magic.

My only small complaint is that it was difficult to reach her at times. However, within a couple of weeks of the wedding she was fully focused on our event and she did a great job.

Honestly, there is very little more I could have asked for. When I saw what she had done with the DAR O'Byrne Gallery where we had our ceremony, I burst into tears because the sofreh and flowers could not have looked more beautiful. I walked down the aisle and had a sofreh as well, and she knew exactly how to make it work. She also did beautiful arrangements for the dinner tables at the reception at the McLean Gardens Ballroom, which guests were able to take home afterwards.

I feel very lucky to have found Flora because it's not easy to find a florist as talented and affordable as she is. In fact, I have yet to meet one....

She had wonderful pictures to reference and gave advice when needed. There was no contract to sign (which would have been helpful) with a schedule of follow up. But overall great quality and did what I asked!

For my wedding I needed flowers for the ceremony, a large arrangement for the place card table, and cocktail reception centerpieces. I knew after my first meeting with Flora that she was an excellent listener, a talented artist, and a honest and fair business woman. Even though I'm sure she's had larger orders and bigger budgets, I felt truly cared for and important. I knew I was in great hands. I enjoyed working with her every step of the way and was, of course, completely thrilled with what she delivered the day of the wedding. I loved my dramatic bouquet with eggplant calla lilies, antique roses, and plum feathers (her idea!), the centerpiece for the card table was tall and lush with hanging flutes of flowers, and the cocktail centerpieces of perfectly arranged calla lilies submerged underwater was elegant, understated, and very affordable!

If you want someone who is creative, knows how to work a small budget to its best advantage, and reliable - go with Flora at Ultimate Floral Designs! (A little cheesy, I know, but she really is wonderful!)

I had my wedding in mid July and I have to say that it looked much better than any other wedding I have ever been to. The flowers were amazingly beautiful and my bouquet was the best bridal bouquet I had ever seen. The sofreh aghd had become the central piece of the whole wedding and all my guests sighed and rushed to take pictures with it as soon as they walked in and saw it. Flora was very responsive to all our needs and she made everything look better than what I had in mind. She was also very helpful with great tips that helped us arrange a beautiful wedding. Flora and her team did a wonderful job with our wedding flowers! We wanted something unique yet elegant and she delivered! Everyone that attended our wedding loved the centerpieces.
Flora was fairly easy to work with, although our original quote was a little less than what we ended up paying and we had to bring back the vases the Monday following our wedding. Regardless, she delivered and set everything up for us at the Church, all boutonniere's were clearly marked, the corsage's for grandmother's were beautiful and all of the bouquet's were fabulous!

Of all of the vendors we used for our wedding, we were happiest with Flora's work! Flora met with me frequently and called me often to check in on me in the weeks and days leading up to our wedding. She gave me WAY MORE flowers, as well as better quality flowers, than any other florist I met with would give me for my budget. Flora even included complimentary vases, crystals, candles, petals for the aisle, and a decorative tree. Our guests made numerous comments on how beautiful our flowers were. On the night of our wedding, guests were even taking pictures of the centerpieces with their personal cameras. Everything was delivered to us on the day of the wedding looking fresh and beautiful. All wedding party flowers were labeled appropriately, making day-of distribution a breeze. Wow!! Flora put together the most amazing flowers/decorations for our wedding! I went to her with a vision of what I saw, but didn't know a daisy from a tulip. We came in with general ideas of what we wanted and she used her experience and floral knowledge to elaborate on our ideas; the bouquets and arrangements that she delivered were absolutely gorgeous! To us a red rose was a red rose, but she recommended a more rich and elegant looking rose that gave us the most beautiful floral designs ever -- above our wildest dreams!!

I have planned many weddings and have attending lots of weddings but I have never seen such breathtaking arrangements. My guests were at loss for words when they entered the wedding hall. I had the most gorgeous wedding because of her and her creative talent.

We had a small wedding, so we didn't need a lot of flower (2 bouquets and a handful of bouts/corsages) and Flora never made us feel we less of a client. I wanted something different and unique. She worked with me giving suggestions of flowers to use, color combinations, and designs. I gave her free range to design the bouquets (with my input of flowers) and she did an amazing job. I have received several compliments (at the wedding and whoever I show the pictures to) about how gorgeous my flowers were. Our wedding wasn't local and we brought everything with us. She made sure the flowers were in vases and a special box so they wouldn't get ruined. When we picked up our flowers, she was preparing for another wedding and I was able to see the centerpieces. Very gorgeous! You can't go wrong with Flora!

Thanks to Flora, our wedding was more perfect than I could have ever imagined. She did such an amazing job, and I can't thank her enough.
When we first came to Ultimate Floral designs, we had pictures of things we "thought" we wanted - bronze mantanita trees, peonies, orchids, etc. But after talking through everything with Flora, she listened carefully to our vision and immediately started putting things together in her shop to give us an idea of what she was able to do. Other florists did not do this, but she had a feel for our style and knew the look we were going for. Having a September wedding isn't easy in terms of flower selections, but she made it happen for us by finding perfect substitutes, ex: cabbage roses for peonies, manzanita branches in a vase to give us the "look" of a tree. When we saw the centerpiece samples for the 1st time, we were in awe - they were so beautiful. And on the day of the wedding, I have never seen a room look so amazing. Her flower arrangements were incredibly elegant and classy with a perfect fusion of modern style and soft antique colors. I think everyone at my wedding complimented on how amazing the flowers were that night. There is nothing that Flora can't do! :) I would refer her to everyone who's wedding is coming up in the near future.

You truly made our wedding day a magical experience. Everything was perfect every step of the way. You turned my dreams into reality and I can't thank you enough. You exceeded my epectations! Thank you!

Flora provided the most beautiful flower arrangements I could have ever imagined for our wedding. I had thought that I had high expectations but she far exceeded them with the gorgeous arrangements at the church and reception, and the creative, colorful and stunning bouquets. Our guests both on the wedding day and afterward have continued to remind us just how beautiful and perfect the flowers were. They helped make our day that much more memorable!

I interviewed several florists and found Ultimate Floral Design to be the most artistic and accommodating, and most importantly patient. The flowers were the key element to my wedding, and they did exactly what I asked for, which should be the most important thing to any bride. I definitely recommend them to any bride who is looking for a unique and stylish look for there very import day. I found Ultimate Floral Designs through I Do magazine. They are so easy to work with, and the flowers created for me were absolutely exquisite, I would happily recommend Ultimate Floral Designs!

Flora did a remarkable job on the flowers for my wedding, which hapened to be at a botanical garden. Everyone raved about them. She was flexible with my choice of centerpiece (large martini glasses) and helped me to make an unknown vision with colors and flowers into a reality.

Flora did a wonderful job with the flowers. They were amazing! All our guests raved about the reception site flowers.

I gave her a picture of what we wanted and she made sample that was so beautiful. We had to change the colors and little and she worked us to pick the right colors that matched our linens. My bouquet was beautiful too.

The groom's bout didn't make it past the ceremony though. The cymbidium orchid petals were falling off. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Flora was absolutely amazing. She listened to me and made suggestions, but was not pushy at all. She also asked about budget at the beginning and worked to stay within the budget. The flowers were gorgeous. I received a lot of compliments. She was a joy to work with.
