Union Station (Downtown L.A. Train Station)

For our wedding, we rented out one of the banquet rooms in the downtown train station Union Station. The room was gorgeous and needed little in the way of decoration or accents. The high vaulted ceilings, tile mosaic floor, large arching stained glass windows and beautiful mahogany wood would hardly let you believe that you are in the heart of a train station! It was really neat to have such a unique room, with so much history, as well. The old ticket booths were cut-out wooden ledges that lending perfectly to serving tables. The event staff roped off the entire perimeter and provided security at each and every entrance/exit to prohibit unwanted travelers from attending the party. They also suggested great catering that was familiar with the design of the room. It was an amazing venue, and although expensive, definitely worth it.
