Unique Car Service
Rich (the driver) and Jo (Rich's wife) were great. We had the Cadillac (I think that's what it was - it was the black car), and it was so pretty! It had fresh flowers in it when they came to pick us up for pictures before the ceremony, and it actually fit myself, my mom, and five bridesmaids pretty comfortably (though one bridesmaid sat in the front). Rich was so patient when we were running behind on meeting him for photos. I thought it was a great experience and SO worth the money. Other car services I looked at in the area cost way way more!
I feel back for Georgie. I'm sorry you has a terrible experience with UCS. My husband and I rented the Fleetwood Cadillac as well. The driver was early and we had a wonderful conversation have the car, etc. There is no A/C since it is a '52; however, he called it 'green' because it was cool in the back by something in the trunk and something about ice. We has the car for two hours but only needed it for one hour since I was afraid we would run over due to pictures. Although it was worth it since they give a military discount.
We really wanted a unique experience for our transportation. My partner LOVES vintage cars and we thought the perfect limo would be a 1952 Cadillac Vintage Limo from Unique Car Service. We were so excited about having such a beautiful car. The service was initially very great. The company was helpful in scheduling the service. That is where it ended, however.
The car was 30 minutes late arriving to the church. Once the driver arrived, we were able to start towards our reception site, approximately 20 minutes away. We made it 2 blocks from the church when the car died. The driver, who was very professional and apologetic, contacted his boss and told them about the situation. They left us sitting on the side of the road for an hour before anyone came out to try to figure out what was going on. When the boss arrived she left us on the side of the road and had us call for our own transportation to the reception. I had my father leave the reception, which had started an hour before, to drive 20 minutes to pick us up and then 20 minutes to bring us back. We were more than an hour late to our reception.
The owner offered to refund us the cost of the limo but then never did. When I contacted the company she advised that they would refund half of the money. We were blown away! There were no apologies, offer for a free ride on our next visit in town, or a refund of the total amount of money that we spent on transportation.
We lost more than an hour with our guests and were rushed for the rest of the night. It was a disaster. The car is beautiful, but you're taking a gamble with service and reliability.
