University Club atop Symphony Towers

I don't have a membership here, but I did have my wedding reception at the University Club back in January (they allow a certain number of non-member events per year). We had about 140 guests. The info packet says they can accommodate 175 guests for a sit-down meal, but I wouldn't recommend more than 150 otherwise it may start to feel very packed.

Ed is in charge of organizing events and was a true pleasure to work with. From my many questions during the planning process, our meetings, accommodating our special requests, providing input, he was always patient, friendly, and helpful.

AJ and his staff took over after Ed made sure everything was set up the day of. They made sure our head table was always taken care of and were super attentive! Our entire bridal table was treated like VIP.

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue! Our guests raved about the breathtaking views and delicious meal.

I got sold with the view! The best view there is, apart from that, the interior's feel of modern chic solidified my wedding theme. The staff provides quality service. So even if the value is towards the expensive side, quality and view makes up for it. The food is scrumptious. Just one tip, the minimum food and beverage minimum was not clearly explained to me therefore I ended up paying more than expected.

The university club is on the 34th floor with panoramic windows. the view of downtown san diego and the water/bridge is breathtaking. Weddings on sundays get the trendy lounge area as well. The food is fantastic - as confirmed by my foodie husband and all his gourmand friends! Guests loved the food, decor and the views.

The University Club was a gorgeous venue. The service there is unparalleled and the food is fabulous. For the bride and groom who wish to have a relatively small to medium sized wedding (max capacity 120) and one that is elegant and classy, this is an awesome venue choice. On the 34th floor of a high rise in San Diego, the view is amazing. One thing to be mindful of is one either needs to be a member of the club or have a sponsor who is a member to throw an event there.
