University of Redlands

I had my wedding and reception at the Alumni House at the University of Redlands. The planner that assisted us with our preparation was very helpful and proffessional. The venue was absolutley beautiful and planner ensured that our wedding was set up in time and the way we wanted it. The University also gives several location options throughout the University, with different price ranges. On the downside, you must use the University's catering service, which is a little pricey. However, after the wedding I had several wedding guests tell me that they had never had such great food at a wedding.

My new husband and I had both our ceremony and reception at the University of Redlands. We had our ceremony at the Hall of Letters and our reception at the Casa Loma Room. I was very happy with both of these locations. They were excellent. The hall of letters is beautiful and the casa loma room is the perfect banquent room!
The help we received from the University was outstanding. I worked closely with Laurie Aldern and she took such good care of me and all of my wedding needs.
The University of Redlands goes the extra mile for their brides for much less of the cost than other places we looked at. They are reasonable and the service and face time is outstanding!

The venue for the ceremony was beautiful as well as the reception hall. All of the employees and waitors were amazing and before the wedding were very good about always returning our phone calls. They provided the catering and it was very delicious and very fancy looking. The only thing i would say is that they were not very flexible in letting us use outside things. Such as...my mother wanted to make some of this really yummy punch to bring like she did at my sister's wedding and they would not let her. Also we brought apple cider bottles ourselves and they charged us per bottle even though we bought them...they charged a corking fee? or a pouring fee? i don't remember. but that really was the only problem i could say.

A beautiful campus, my wedding turned out gorgeous! Very good value for the price. Catering was only about $15 a person, and the food was great. I had an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception in the casa loma room. I was very happy with the end result. Only downfall is that this is a college, so weddings are not their priority. But I only paid about $1500 in rental fees, and that included linens, reception hall, ceremony site, set-up and clean-up, and more.

Have photographed more than a dozen weddings and receptions in the Commons and on the grounds at the University over the years and am more than impressed at everything they do. The students that serve and the staff that run the Commons are very professional. The grounds are always well kept and as you can tell on my web site the pictures are always beautiful because of how clean everything is always kept there!
