Simply perfect. We had our wedding at Upstairs, renting both the upstairs and downstairs for our special night. It was amazing. This space is whimsical, magical and just gorgeous. The food and wine was superb. The service was excellent. We were well taken care of by the owner Mary-Catherine and the event coordinator Caroline as well as the bar director Matt and servers. Our guests were really impressed with this non-traditional location. Everyone felt it was a romantic location with a festive atmosphere and the food pleased all. It couldn't have been better.

From the support staff to Caroline & Mary-Catherine, everyone involved in our reception was a delight to work with! The food was delicious and the setting was outstanding. They certainly know how to throw an unforgettable party. We plan to use the venue again for our anniversary party!!

We had our wedding and ceremony at UpStairs on the Square and it was a beautiful and very memorable event. I heard from multiple people that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. UpStairs is the perfect location for people who want a casual fun vibe for their wedding.
They do take take care of everything and pamper you on your wedding day. But if you're someone that is a little nitpicky and stickler on details then this may not be the place for you. For instance, we never actually got to taste our cake until the wedding day. We never picked out a design either, they just ask you what flavors you want. The cake was delicious and beautiful though. I do wish more people got to eat it because they boxed it up and took it away before most people got a chance to have a bite.
Also, if you have your wedding here, be prepared to not really know much about your wedding until maybe a month before. They rarely returned my emails and the coordinator was difficult to get a hold of by phone until about a month before. It wasn't that big of deal because everything came together beautifully in the end. That's just how they do things there, they're very laid back.
My only stickler about our wedding was the meal portion sizes. They were RIDICULOUSLY small. The people that ordered the raviolis received ONE ravioli for their entree. ONE. The people that ordered the scallops got three little scallops on a spoon-full of couscous. Also, the potatoes that were supposed to come with the steak (the ones we tried at the tasting) were just homefries. They were supposed to be blue cheese smashed potatoes. The food was very tasty and good quality but the portion size was absurdly small and it was embarrassing. This place is not cheap either. My father felt like we got ripped off because it was not the same portions as we had at our tasting. But considering we got lots of passed hors d'oeurves, 1 hours open bar, cake, champagne toast, wine with dinner, & a 3 course meal with 3 options, we think overall it was a good value.
But if I had to do it all over again, I would have still had my wedding there.

We splurged with a Saturday evening reception using the entire restaurant. The people at Upstairs were wonderful during every phase of the planning process and were incredibly helpful during the entire reception. The atmosphere was warm and festive. The food was incredible!

Upstairs on the Square was a wonderful choice for our wedding. We had a day time luncheon and reserved the entire restaurant which included an upstairs dining room where we had a formal seated lunch and downstairs bar/ dining area where we had our ceremony, cocktail hour and dessert. As always the food was impeccable as was the service. Our event coordinator was Kathleen who was both helpful and patient. I had many many questions for months on end and she was always very understanding and helpful. I also had the pleasure of meeting both the owners who were extremely kind and supportive.
I know that we would not have been able to dupliacate the beauty or experience of our day with any other venu!!

UpStairs on the Square was the location for our wedding dinner on October 9th.
I first heard of this restaurant through a website and thought it looked amazing. After having a delicious birthday dinner at the restaurant, I fell in love and knew I had to have my reception there! I quickly got in contact with one of the owners, Mary Catherine, and she was extremely attentive in answering all my questions and concerns. It turned out to be a little over our budget for us, so we initially moved on. However, I couldn't get this venue out of my head - so a few months later, we were very excited to find out our date was still open.
I have to say that I was not disappointed at all! Our coordinator was Kathleen, and she was great to work with. We had a very small wedding (25 guests), but this did not lower the standards of service we received. Shannon was very helpful with everything, from menu selection to setup. We handed over our decorations to her the day before the wedding with a layout plan, and everything was set up perfectly when we arrived!
The food was amazing and the service was spectacular. I am so very glad that my wish was fulfilled in having my wedding reception at UpStairs on the Square! It was a dream come true!

We had our rehearsal dinner at this venue and the food was to die for! The hardest part was deciding what to have on our menu because the choices were all so good. The staff there is so kind and on-top of everything. I never had to ask for a refill of wine because they always had our glasses filled. They work with a nearby florist which created some gorgeous table arrangements. The whole place has a very warm feel to it and you can reserve the upstairs room for a private, intimate party which was ideal for our rehearsal dinner.
