I spent 15 years of my live on Long Island NY and believe me this place is the real deal. No pretension, reasonable prices and extremely good food, especially the cheesecake. I can think of any number of restaurants in Nashville that claim to have NY style Italian food, but this is the only place that fits the bill. The veal and chicken parmesan are both wonderful. The tomato sauce is excellent, and the pasta is simply divine. Both the kitchen and wait staffs are quick, friendly and extremely efficient but you won’t feel hurried. They made us and our guest feel right at home. They also have a good selection of wines at reasonable prices. This place is definitely worth a visit.
My husband and his family are italian, so since they were the ones planning the rehearsal dinner, his mom asked me if I knew any good Italian places in Nashville. Valentino's was the first to pop into my head - especially because my husband had taken me on quite a few dates there! Our rehearsal dinner was fairly small - we wanted to keep it intimate with just our family and a few close friends. My husbands Italian family completely approved - the food was wonderful as always and the service was attentive and perfect.
