Vanessa Stump Photography

I came to Vanessa through the WeddingChannel.com website initially and after talking to her and viewing her work, she was the first vendor I booked! She is very sweet, energetic and has a relaxed no-stress way about her. Her work expands beyond normal wedding photography which is what I was looking for. After getting my engagement pictures back I've also booked her for my bridal shower (in addition to my wedding). I also appreciate that she is competivitely priced and includes proofs in her packages!

Update: I received my bridal shower pictures and they are wonderful!! Vanessa has also updated her website too with new slideshows showcasing her work. She is so easy to be around, it seems like I've known her for years. Can't recommend her highly enough.

Update 2: My wedding pictures came back and I love them! Glad I went with Vanessa. Will be doing family and baby portraits (hopefully) down the road.

Vanessa came recommended by our wedding coordinator on Catalina Island. The pictures truly made us look good. I honestly don't know how I'll choose which ones to frame or include in the album. She has an easy way about her that puts you at ease. She's up for suggestions but is very creative and has a wonderful photographer eye. She mixes in artistic shots of the surroundings that add to the overall feeling of the day. You can tell she loves her work and she is very dependable. We had a great time with her and I highly recommend!

Vanessa is fantastic! She was prompt, extremely friendly and helpful, and has a terrific eye for the "perfect" picture. She took every single picture I requested and then there were many special moments caught on film I never would have thought of myself. Honestly there were so many great pictures I am having a very tough time narrowing them down for a coffee table book. I want to keep every moment that was special, and Vanessa caught them all. I have used Vanessa for my engagement pictures, bridal shower and wedding photos and I couldn't be more pleased. She is fun, bubbly, easygoing and has a great eye. I love the moments she has been able to capture on film. If/when I have a child I want her to do portraits!

Vanessa is a good friend of ours, so we knew we already loved her. She has the perfect personality for something like a wedding - people really feel at ease around her and she is a fun girl to work with. Vanessa is prompt and professional, takes beautiful pictures and I'd highly recommend her. Once you meet her, you'll understand - she just gives off posivite, happy vibes - and it shows in her pictures!

As a designer of wedding dresses and an event coordinator myself, I was so grateful to be at ease to enjoy the day I created knowing that Vanessa was on top of capturing every detail, every moment and beyond. Her photos of our special affair are filled with timeless portraits, beloved family and friends and every sweet design. Nothing was forgotten. Another plus for a nervous bride such as myself was that she made me feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera and it showed in the final product.

In addition to being a creative and professional photographer, she was helpful in many aspects of the day offering her extensive wedding knowledge to us making many moments even better. And since I married a baker, she captured perfectly the most important item for my memory, the prettiest wedding cake I have ever seen, my wedding surprise from my loving husband! I will reccomend her services for all of my bridal clients to come.

My fiancé hired Vanessa as part of the engagement surprise (she took photos of him proposing and then took our engagement photos). I was so impressed with the job that she did! She managed to capture every single emotion felt that day. We were so happy with the photos, not only the ones of us, but all of the ones that she took of the scenery. Needless to say, we knew we could not use anyone else for our wedding day. I would have seriously changed the date of the wedding had Vanessa not been available….

She did an even more amazing job on our wedding photos! She managed to capture moments we would have missed and the love of everyone that shared in that day. She has such a good eye for setting things up to get the most out of a photo and really took some amazing shots of things we would have never even thought of.

Not only is Vanessa a great photographer, but she is a joy to work with. She is so responsive to emails and phone calls (a major plus when planning a wedding) and she is such a fun personality to work with. I can’t wait to use her again in the future!

I had one phone conversation with Vanessa before my husband and I flew from Indiana to Catalina Island for our wedding. Our wedding planner recommended her on short notice and i jumped on it.

I didn't have bridesmaids at our wedding - and Vanessa became much more than a photographer to us on the wedding day, she became part of the group! It meant so much to be able to relax and have someone put effort into your photos. They came out so much better than we ever dreamed of! And she put together a beautiful slide show piece for us to showcase to our friends and family at our reception back home.
