Vera Wang Chicago

I absolutely LOVED my dress. It was however way out of the price range. I guess the company knows that people will pay to look beautiful on their wedding day, but come on !!! that is a heck of a price to pay to look gorgeous !!!I can say however, that I worked with JC at the Vera Wang salon and she was WONDERFUL !!! She was so down to earth and made me feel so comfortable. She was not pushy at all. I was so glad that I worked with her.

I LOVED my dress! It was perfect. I thought the store did a great job - they were very responsive and let me try on everything (even the crazy expensive ones!). They called me when my dress came in - and it was early. I didn't do my alterations through them, but they did a great job and I would definitely recommend the store!

I went to the Vera Wang store as a joke, to begin. It was my first dress store, and I wish I had shopped around a bit more. I loooooved my dress- I saw it right when I walked off the elevator and loved it from the start! The consultant I worked with was wonderful, and I was so sure that it was the one we snapped it up- of course they offer you a discount if you purchase on your first visit, and that's what made it possible for us to afford the dress.When my dress arrived, I found out that the wonderful salesperson I had worked with before was no longer at the store. So I went with my mom to try it on with a different consultant and the manager. The consultant immediately told me that no one who ever came in wanted to try on the dress I chose because they thought it was weird. She said she was excited to see it on someone that actually liked it. She didn't give me a bra to try on with it. So here I am, feeling awkward and uncomfortable, getting criticized by the employee. I turned to get a side view in the mirror and made a little face- I didn't have a bra on, after all- and she goes "oh you're probably just a little bloated, don't eat any salt and there is still time to lose weight before your date." Um, ok... this dress was $3000, you better tell me how good I look in it! The manager just kept talking about me as a unique bride and told me to wear my hair up even though I wanted it down.Once I had the dress off and we were waiting to settle the balance, the girl who told me I looked fat walked around to practically every dress in the store and talked about a bride who had chosen it and how beautiful she looked. Annoying.As for the dress, it's lovely. I felt beautiful and received so many compliments on my dress. The women who altered it said Vera is a great designer, but not a great pattern maker- which shows. There were some structural issues with the dress that they did their best to conceal, but it wasn't perfect.

I wanted a simple white dress to wear for our beach wedding, and Vera was the only way to go. I didn't need any alterations because the gown fit perfectly! The staff at Vera Wang was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I feel like a got a good value for the money I spent.

My dress was amazing and my specific stylist at the store was great. Overall though, the service for the amount of money I spent was not great.

Tried on many dresses and went to Vera Wang. No wonder it's known to be the best. It fits your body like it was made for you. Great staff, professional from beginning to end. Look for samples sales!

The quality of my wedding dress was amazing: no one makes them like Vera Wang. My mother and I spent a few weeks searching for the right dress. As soon as I saw the dress of my dreams in the magazine, my mother and I made a direct phone call to the Vera Wang shop in Chicago and had the dress special ordered for immediate shipment. The turn around was quick, the alterations were very few, and I had the dress of my dreams in time for my wedding. It is so beautiful, I wish I had the opportunity to wear it again. The fabric is light and flows around me as I walk; perfect for the desert weather of Nevada. The train was just the right length to dance easily, and the natural elegance of the dress made me feel like a princess all night. I know that is childish, but my dress was too perfect to wear for 7 hours. Truth be told, I like putting it on here and there and I swear I will figure out another use for it! It's too precious.
