Vanessa is very professional and easy to work with. My flowers came out perfectly - I brought her lots of pictures to show her the vision I had in mind and Verde delivered exactly what I wanted.

Verde Custom Flowers and Vanessa were terrific to work with. She definitely listened to me and my husband, and was able to create exactly what we wanted. Michael, the floral designer is an amazing artist, and they gave us a really wide selection of flowers to choose from. There were two circumstances that really made Verde and the team stand out and compels me to recommend them. First, my fiance and I were on a budget for the wedding, particularly since we were holding it in Manhattan and Vanessa worked with me to make sure we could get beautiful flowers and floral arrangements while staying within our budget. She didn't try to force more expensive flowers on us and actually went back to the proposal when the first one was higher than I had budgeted. I genuinely appreciated that.Second, we had gone with another vendor to build our chuppah since we were looking for a customized one (it was made out of green bamboo) and found a vendor who could do it at a better rate. On the day of the wedding, we saw it and were a disappointed with it. Even though Verde wasn't responsible for it, Vanessa heard we were upset and distressed about how it looked and immediately sent Michael to our location and he dressed it so it looked absolutely beautiful and elegant. It is this level of professionalism and going above and beyond that my husband and I so appreciate and we will always recommend Verde to all engaged couples, as well as event planners or anybody planning something that needs flowers.

I can't say enough about Verde Flowers. Vanessa is an absolutely wonderful. The flowers were absolutely beautiful. They work with you and help you to stay within your budget without compromising the beauty. I was absolutely pleased. Pleased isn't even the right word. They were hip and contemporary but clean and fresh, Vanessa totally got me, she knew exactly what I wanted. I found my florist for life. Everyone should use Verde Flowers for any and all occasions.

Neither my husband nor I know much about flowers. With our wedding colors being Aqua and Gray we really had no idea what color flowers would work best. Vanessa listened to our ideas and created a beautiful color scheme to compliment our wedding. Our centerpieces were so amazing and she really helped to create the eclectic feel that we wanted. Friends that are sending us pictures from the wedding all include at least one photo of the centerpieces because they loved them so much. The bouquets were so simple and beautiful! According to our venue, Michael came in and set up in record time and without needing any help! Incredible work AND professionalism! How could I not recommend Verde Custom Flowers!?!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Vanessa and the Verde team were. Verde was recommended to me by my day of coordinator, Anna Leath, at Just About Married. I hired Verde to do every aspect of my wedding's decor at the Bowery Hotel. I still think about the extraordinary beauty of the florals and other details of design - candles, linens, etc. - that Vanessa envisioned and then seamlessly executed. One of the reasons I picked Vanessa was that she seemed interested in making the whole wedding look beautiful and she didn't see herself as exclusively a floral designer (though she is a totally amazing floral designer too!).A couple things that will stick in my mind whenever I remember my wedding. We did not have room for a traditional chuppah, but we wanted something that would be an obvious gesture to a chuppah. The beauty of the "chuppah" arrangement that Vanessa designed is honestly hard to put into words. I was about to get married and I remember thinking, "Wow, that's stunning!" Then, Vanessa used elements of the chuppah to serve as end-pieces to two long tables, which was unbelievably dramatic, elegant, and (who could guess?) cost-effective. Vanessa's incredible skill is in making relatively affordable choices look magnificent. I shopped around a great deal before choosing Vanessa and my impression was that florists seemed almost to enjoy saying how expensive they were. Not Vanessa. Vanessa is a serious, no-nonsense professional with some whopping talents that she is not about to flaunt.If you want your wedding to look better than anything you could possibly imagine, choose Vanessa and Verde, and don't look back.

I don’t know much about flowers, so I left a lot of the decisions to Vanessa. I basically told her I wanted everything yellow and nothing round (meaning nothing pulled tight and rounded at the top). Everything was so beyond stunning. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I got so many compliments on the flowers, and many of the guests took home their centerpieces. My bouquet was simple yellow calla lilies, but I loved it SO much. I can’t say enough about Vanessa and Verde. If you are having a wedding in or around the Bronx, there’s really no better place to go.

Loved, loved, loved my flowers! When I met with Vanessa at Verde's cool and modern studio, she listened to me carefully and helped me narrow down my preferences and ideas in order to create something special and beautiful and completely appropriate for my venue. She and her husband, Michael, arranged a great preview for me and my husband, offering me a carefully chosen selection of the types of flowers/colors I wanted. We left the preview feeling confident and really, really excited that our wedding was going to be beautiful—and we were right. The arrangements for the tables were great--sophisticated yet simple--but nothing was more beautiful than my bouquet. Michael completely got what I wanted--bright and clean, not too symmetrical. He delivered completely. Also important: they worked within our budget and stayed in touch throughout the planning.

Vanessa provided me with my personal flowers, some large pieces, and single roses (I did my own centerpieces) for my wedding day. The bouquets were absolutely stunning. My bouquet was simple, neutral, fresh and gorgeous just like I requested and the bridesmaids bouquets were vibrant and looked great with their dresses. The large pieces were very unique and stylish. Vanessa was a pleasure to work with. She guided me through the process and was always very helpful, responsive, and professional.

During the "buying" part of the process, when asked what color I wanted the boutennieres i did not specify a color, but rather said that it MUST MATCH the bride's bouquet. The contract even said, "to compliment flowers for bridal party" but then the florist added "-hot pink" with her own specification. I also didn't care what style of flower, just that they match the stunning and expensive bride's bouquet of hot pink orchids. On the wedding day, the hot pink orchids looked more like purple, and the boutennieres looked more like red. RED & PURPLE DO NOT MATCH! They looked UGLY together. The florist argued that she "ordered" hot pink roses for the men, and hot pink orchids for the bouquet. I don't know why no one there "noticed" they they did not match when they received the order, but the whole thing looked ugly, and really upset me, and now I have it in my wedding photos forever. I still haven't looked at the video. I hate to look at it. It was very upsetting, and ruins my memory of the great time and awesome wedding we had otherwise. Too bad my photos that should remind me of the great day only show me how stupid, unattentive, no-attention to detail, only interested in "right-fighting" her side that she "ordered" hot pink from her vendor but they didn't match. I mean, i never specified a color nor a type of flower for the men, just that they match. and they didn't. And they were not willing to admit any fault. They offered to send us a free bouquet of flowers to make up for it, but I didn't need flowers, I needed restitution. I was so mad, and still am. If you hire them -- they do do nice work and have good quality flowers -- WATCH them carefully. Get photos of everything they plan to do (they also did a hideous railing treatment that looked like seaweed dangling from hand-rails, and was gross -- not what we envisioned when we talked about having something "draping" the railings, not seaweed dangling from them -- ugh!). Buyer beware -- know exactly what they're going to do in advance. don't just assume your vendors will do what you want because you want to believe that they will . you can't go back and change the photos. make sure you or someone goes up to their place in the bronx and inspects the flowers before they deliver, and early enough that if something is wrong that you can fix it. Make a friend in charge of this. That's what I wish I had done. Flowers was the only "crap shot" -- the DJ was awesome, the food was awesome, etc. Just the flowers that was a big surprise and ruined what was otherwise the perfect even I planned and pulled off. And their excuse that they ordered "hot pink" and that there is variation in the flowers was not an excuse. They blamed someone else, instead of paying attention to what the customer wanted which was matching flowers -- we were not attached to any type or color boutennieres, just that they matched. It was they that specified roses. Ugh. Disgusting. That is not my idea of customer service. They wrote up a piece of paper and then stuck by the paper. I hired THEM, not a piece of paper. THEY let me down. Unforgivable when you are doing flowers for a wedding.

Verde was great I am so thrilled I chose them as our florist. Vanessa was patient even though I changed my mind about what I wanted about 4 times. She also helped guide me and ordered linens and chairs and helped me create the overall look and feel of the wedding. Both our ceremony and reception were gorgeous. People kept commenting that our flowers looked like that of a chic celebrity celebration not a typical wedding centerpiece. The bouquets and chuppah also came out way beyond my expectations. If you want exceptional, cutting edge style - Verde is your vendor!

Working with Verde was nothing but a pleasure. I was working on a relatively small budget for my wedding and I had few solid ideas about what I really wanted. Vanessa helped me work through ideas, and possibilities, all the while sharing suggestions and helping me envision my wedding. I never felt as if I were talking to a vendor who was busy with other jobs. Verde's acute listening skills and sincere interest in my wedding was a true source of confidence and stability in what can feel like a confusing time full of decision making.Verde's hands-on process allowed me to physically see and handle the flowers and arrangments that would at our wedding which truly helped me verbalize and organize what I liked and what I didn't.The church and the reception look phenomenal and I received more compliments than I can count. It has been 3 months since our wedding and guests are still mentioning my gorgeous flowers. She was very knowledgeable about my venue and what would work best for decoration. In addition, Vanessa was extremely flexible and helped me at the last minute find rental linens when my caterer failed to do so.
