Via Roma Restaurant

The food and atmosphere was great at Via Roma. Domenic (the main chef and owner) was great to work with up to the days leading to the event. Although he was in a meeting during our actual event. Austen mostly worked with him on meal choices, setup etc. We did have a problem with his DVD player so we had to bring our own in to play the slideshow I created on the large projection screen they provide. However, the staff did not know how to use it and so I had to go upstairs and fix the loop all function-since they tried to play “Austen’s growing up” slideshow a couple of times. I know it was not their fault since it was not their equipment but they never asked how to use the remote But other than that the room looked amazing, the food was absolutely delicious and the price was great for Federal Hill especially. I got a lot of comments on how everyone had such a good time and was so full. The navy napkins and bud vases they provided looked great on the tables. I will make a suggestion though if you plan to do “open seating” like we did but have meal choices. Be sure and keep a list of what everyone chose. A few guests forgot which choice they picked and picked the wrong one. My parents thus got surf and turf instead of baked scrod. They still thought it was very delicious. Just a note to remember.
