Viansa Winery

The property itself is breathtaking, and the perfect backdrop for an outdoor, vineyard-style wedding. My husband and I eloped to Sonoma from Nebraska, and working long distance with the girls at Viansa for the several months prior was an absolute breeze and they made my dream wedding come to life. They absolutely nailed every single one of my requests and did so with the utmost impressive professionalism and kindness. I would highly recommend this venue to friends and strangers alike!!

I don't think you can find a better venue for a wedding than Viansa. We looked at many locations in Sonoma and Napa and Viansa was by far our favorite. Its easily accessible from anywhere in the SF bay area because of its southern Sonoma County location but be sure your wedding doesn't overlap with any large event at Infineon Raceway as its only a few miles away! Still, you get that "up" valley prestige at Viansa with its wonderful Italian Villa feel and incredible views. The winery and grounds are all yours from 5 to 11PM with plenty of paved parking. If you have a large wedding, this is especially nice as parking can really be an issue at some places. Our wedding coordinator, Meredith, was great, and the catering was fantastic. Viansa is probably not the cheapest venue, but you could spend alot more and not get nearly as much value. All in all, Viansa is a can't miss location for your wedding and we would highly recommend it.

I got married at Viansa on August 20, 2011. It was the best day of my life and fulfilled every dream I have ever had for my wedding. My guests called it a "fairytale wedding". Viansa is an absolutely beautiful venue and their staff is above and beyond. My wedding coordinator was Meredith and I can not even begin to say enough wonderful things about her. She was always available, flexible, understanding, and professional. She was very clear in describing how the day would go and made sure that everything happened as planned. Her love for her work is obvious and was so appreciated. My wedding ran an hour late due to me forgetting half of my dress and all the while Meredith and the rest of the staff remained calm and collected. Everything still ran as smooth as it would have if it was on time. The tent was set up to perfection. Exactly how I had envisioned. The service and food was impeccable. They never interrupted, my glass was always full, they smiled, it was perfect. Although, the venue is expensive I can tell you it was worth every dime. I would not regret it for even a second. Thank you so much Viansa and especially Meredith for making our wedding day a memory we will never forget!

I just got married a few weeks ago at Viansa, and it was amazing. The venue was gorgeous, and I was even more impressed by the service. The coordinator, Laura Fraize, and the rest of the staff were so accommodating and gracious, and they went far beyond my expectations. I didn't have to worry about any details on the big day, which went smoothly. Instead, I got to enjoy the celebration. I can't speak more highly of the service and professionalism at Viansa. On top of that, the food and wine were delicious. I couldn't be happier about working with Laura and the Viansa staff, and we'll definitely be returning for our one year anniversary!

We had the most magical event at Viansa. The staff is absolutely incredible; so friendly, professional, and accomodating. Brooke, helped us plan every detail so that the entire evening felt taken care of and we didn't have a worry in the world and Meredith helped execute everything perfectly throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. All of our guests raved about every piece of our wedding; the location, view, and wonderful staff and food. We truly can not say enough good things about Viansa and every person who works there. The wine was delicious, our guest loved the Reserve Chardonnay and Thalia. Brooke, has a wonderful list of vendors and we truly loved our Photographer, Jason Bennett, and our florist, Vanda.

I got married at Viansa on June 23rd, 2011. We chose to do a small elopement ceremony and cocktail hour for 30 guests. Laura, the coordinator, helped me with everything. She ordered flowers, helped me choose appetizers and always kept in contact with me. On the day of the ceremony, she made everything run smoothly by making sure I had everything and my guests were comfortable. The venue is gorgeous and is perfect for photos! Viansa is a beautiful location and I would recommend anyone to get married here. The planning process was amazing. What venue puts together an event to look at all the rental items and food tastings?! Not only was it great for planning but it was so fun. Our coordinator Laura was amazing throughout the whole process! It rained on the morning of our wedding (shockingly in june) and it was amazing to know and have the ability to move our ceremony in cocktail hour if needed. The staff was amazing and our guests were blown away. Would do everything over in a heart beat at Viansa! Thank you so much Laura and Brooke!

We worked with Meredith to coordinate our wedding and reception. She was wonderful!! I would highly recommend Viansa and in particular working with Meredith. She did a great job in thinking and taking care of all the details, even some that I didn't think of. I felt completely comfortable the day of our wedding knowing that if something came up she would be able to handle it. The staff at Viansa also did an outstanding job. We had an amazing experience. I actually plan events for a living so I was very critical of all the vendors we used. The best decision we made was booking Viansa for our wedding. Our assigned planner was there every step of the way to ensure everything was taken care of and ready. Often there were things I didn't even think of that were brought to my attention in the planning process. Here is a breakdown:Food - Great! Ceremony Site - Beautiful flowers everywhere, beautiful iron doors to frame the bride & groom. Plus the guests walk through the cave up to the reception area!Reception Site - the climate controlled tent was perfect. The views are spectacular! Service - Amazing from start to finish. I didn't worry about a thing the day of as our Viansa planner was on it. Price - Its expensive but it is very competitive for a winery wedding and very fair for what you get. I looked at many Sonoma Wineries...some were more and some were less. They will help you put a budget together and do this before you sign the contract! Another piece of advise for a winery wedding - most wineries don't have an indoor option in case the weather is bad. Viansa had a solution for both the ceremony and reception. That is more important that you thinik!We are thrilled Viansa is now a part of our story and look forward to visiting every year on our anniversary.

Our ceremony was more than we imagined. The coordinators were so wonderful to my family and guests. They were there to move everything along and make sure we kept in our timeline, and to assist in the bridal parties every need.I planned my wedding from New Jersey with the assistance of Laura Johnson Fraize, via phone and email. Her responsiveness and attentiveness was impecable! She helpful and a joy to work with and really took the stress out of planning a wedding so far away.

Viansa was the venue for both my wedding ceremony and reception. This venue is absolutely gorgeous, the staff was super nice, very helpful and very accommodating to my requests. Laura was my wedding coordinator and Brooke was her assistant on the day of the wedding. Laura was SO helpful and responsive to all my questions during the wedding planning. We communicated mostly through email and I made a few trips up to Viansa during the last 4-5 months before the wedding and she was always there to answer all of my questions and finalize the details. She was so patient throughout the whole experience! The day of the wedding, it started to rain right before the ceremony and she was there to keep me calm and was ready to help move the entire ceremony into the wine cellar. Luckily the rain stopped just in time but Laura was there to make any last minute changes.The food provided by their exclusive caterer Sage, was delicious - I received so many great reviews from the guests. The rentals selection process was super easy - Laura had everything prepared for our meeting and we picked out the tableware, linens, chairs, etc. together. Overall, I am very happy with Viansa!

Viansa is fantastic for a wedding. The location is ideal. The view is incredible and they are built for rain which not many places are. Unfortunately it poured on our wedding, but it didn't make a difference because there is so much covered space between the barrel room, tasting room and tent which is all beautifully candle lit. Plus you don't have to worry about renting tents, tables, chairs, etc. We also had the fun option of serviing a different flight of wine at the bar than what was served for drinks or dinner. This gave our non-local friends added exposure to wine country living. One of the main reasons we decided to get married at Viansa was for our coordinator, Meredith, who works at Viansa. Meredith was a true delight to work with. She is extremely professional, has excellent attention to detail and she honestly seemed excited and interested in making our wedding what we wanted. She made everything easy. All the staff was excellent (especially dealing with torrential downpours), but I will really miss working with Meredith. She made it fun for us. Overall, our wedding at Viansa was so much fun we want to do it all over again (with or without sun).

The entire experience with Viansa from the day my husband and I toured the winery to our wedding day was phenomenal. The staff was very professional and executed every detail perfectly. Cortney Antonetti did a great job coordinating the event and ensuring our vision became a reality. She made the planning process so easy by being patient with us as we asked a million questions and worked with us to iron out all the details. Several guests commented it that it was the best and classiest wedding they have ever been to. The venue is absolutely beautiful and spectacular!

My husband and I got married at Viansa in early September 2010. We planned the wedding from Orlando and it was the perfect day! Planning from a far is not always easy but with Laura as our coordinator it was about as easy as it can get. Laura was wonderful to work with.We did a lot of research in Sonoma and Sutters Creek, and Viansa by far offered the most for your money. It is the Perfect setting for a ceremony and reception. We chose Viansa for our small / intimate wedding based on the reviews we read online. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The vineyard is gorgeous and has stunning landscaping for pictures. Cortney was our planner and was very helpful and accomodating in helping us to create our intimate ceremony. We didn't have a reception in the outdoor tent but we did have our own private wine tasting after the ceremony which was wonderful. We ended up leaving with a case of wine! Thanks Viansa, we hope to visit again on our anniversary!

We just had our wedding at Viansa and the venue, as well as Meredith, one of the onsite wedding coordinators, was fantastic! Meredith provided us with resources, creative ideas and was incredibly accessible (and patient!) all of which greatly helped to shape and make our wedding vision a reality. The day of the wedding we did not have to worry about a thing as she was reliable, trustworthy and professional. The venue was absolutely beautiful and having the whole vineyard for the night was amazing (especially as they light up the trees in the courtyard/patio space). Would highly recommend both Viansa and Meredith!

Viansa is the most beautiful wedding venue ever; I feel so lucky to have had my wedding there. My fiance and I looked at every single possible place in wine country, and nothing was in the same league as Viansa in terms of setting/flow of space/coordinators/etc. Laura was our official coordinator, and she was amazing. She was so on the ball and honest and helpful throughout the process. Laura recommended what things were worth spending money on, which vendors were amazing, etc., so we felt totally comfortable and relaxed by the wedding day. I also have to say that while Viansa is somewhat pricey, given the level of service, it's actually quite a good deal. I didn't have to hire a day-of wedding coordinator or stress about who was putting out the escort cards or anything like that. Laura ran everything so professionally, it made the wedding seem effortless.Highly recommended!

We couldn't be happier with our wedding at Viansa. Brooke as our coordinator was highly professional, efficient (extremely important in a process like wedding planning), courteous, and most importantly, a pleasure to work with in our six months long journey toward the ultimate climatic day. Grounds at the site was beautifully and meticulously kept, we were provided with a tasting of the food from our caterer (subcontracted by Viansa) months before the wedding to help us get to know our caterer's style of cooking/food, and of course, narrow down the selection of wine to serve on the day of the event (wines availability can be seasonal, so make sure you nail down your selections early so that Viansa can possibly reserve some for your special day). Day-before-the-event rehearsal was perfectly ran to help the family and wedding party to get to know the process and site. Viansa's wedding tent provided the perfect semi-outdoor venue for a winery reception w/o the outdoor elements to interfere with the fun.On the day of the event, Brooke and her staff were everywhere to help just when you need them, but kept themselves perfectly "hidden" from the main actions to not interfere w/ the proceedings. Guests were all gushed w/ the beautiful surrounding and enjoyed their times immensely. Our only gripe about the day was the valley wind picked up a little strong during our photo session after the ceremony (5pmish), and being that Viansa sits on top of the hill (beautiful picturesque location), the effect was a little more pronounced than we'd liked, but it sure made a few memorable pictures. We are also not from the bay area, so planning and going through this whole process from out of town (we only went down to the winery once more after our initial visit and before the wedding date) needed a very detail driven, descriptive and most importantly, responsive person to work with us. Brooke was the perfect girl to help us out there! All in all, we had a wonderful experience with Viansa and Brooke and will be back at the winery every chance we go back to Sonoma.

I had my dream wedding and it was all thanks to Viansa Winery. They were there to help me every step of the way. My wedding was planned on very short notice (3 months to be exact) but everyone at Viansa was very accomodating and made sure I got everything I wanted. I didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding besides showing up and getting ready. All my guests commented on how wonderful the staff was because they made sure everyone was well taken care of. The location itself is beyond beautiful and the staff is amazing!! Viansa Winery is a beautiful venue - what more could you ask for then to be surrounded by lush vineyards on a hilltop overlooking Sonoma Valley!! Laura Johnson, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely amazing to work with and knew exactly how to help plan our special event. She was attentive, professional, and very organized. It was a great pleasure to work with her and the wonderful staff at Viansa. Our big day was perfect, many thanks to Viansa!!

The venue was beautiful and our coordinator Cortney was amazing. She was helpful and flexible and very responsive to all our inquiries. The only thing I think Viansa could do better has to do with the rehearsal time. We had to have someone from our group stand outside the door to keep people from walking through our rehearsal. It ended up fine but I think that's something they ought to have done for us. Such a minor point though that I still have to give them top marks.

If you, like me, are a lover of vineyards and always dreamt of having an enchanting Tuscan wedding, then Viansa is the prime location! I had my wedding last March, and it could not have been more perfect! The venue's gorgeous vegetation and architecture takes up 90% of the decoration, and made a beautiful outdoor ceremony! I had the luxury of having Meredith as my planner. She was there with me from day one, ready to plan out the big day, was very attentive to what my fiancee and I wanted, and worked very well to help us meet our budget. Meredith has a wealth of knowledge on everything, from vendors to table fabrics, and will do anything to make your wedding dream a reality. She was always there remind me of deadlines to meet, and even opened her ears to the stress I (and all brides) faced. I would recommend Viansa and its wedding planners over and over again as a wedding venue. :)

We had a small ceremony followed by cocktail reception for our wedding celebration at Viansa. We fell in love with the intimate feeling of the winery first time we visited it. We had Cortney Antonetti as our venue manager , she has been a really great support throughout the planning process and the day of. Our day went great as planned . Our guests gave us a lot of complements about the food and venue.

Laura and her team made planning our destination wedding (we live in Chicago and didn't actually see Viansa firsthand until the day before the wedding!) so simple and straightforward. They assisted in every step of the planning and made wonderful referrals for the photographer, florist, etc. I would highly recommend Viansa, not only was it a picture perfect day for my husband and I but all of our guests were blown away by the setting, the food, the service, everything! I recently had my October wedding at Viansa Winery and it was literally like a dream. Everything down to the temperature of my father's filet mignon was perfect. Meredith was my coordinator and she was spectacular. This was a destination wedding for me so I literally had to ship everything down to the last place card to the staff at Viansa and all things were executed perfectly. Everyone on the Viansa staff was so on the ball and professional- They worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail of the event, from start to finish, ran smoothly for the entire evening. They did this without needing unnecessary input from us, which allowed us to sit back and truly enjoy the beauty of our special day together. It even rained unexpectedly on our wedding day but everyone on staff was completely calm and no one missed a step in making sure that our wedding was everything we dreamed of despite the change in weather. Our experience at Viansa could not have been better. We planned the wedding in five short months (from January to May) without a hitch. The venue could not be more beautiful than in May. Everything was in bloom. Our wedding coordinator, Meredith, handled each and every tiny detail perfectly. She made wonderful recommendations on many items that we would not have thought of and were so glad we followed. Viansa's preferred vendors, including for flowers, cake and music, were the best. The day of the event, the entire Viansa staff could not have been lovelier, more helpful, or more professional. The food (and, as expected, the wine) was INCREDIBLE. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing, literally. Everything went smoothly and according to schedule. I could not recommend Viansa (or specifically, Meredith) highly enough!

I can't give enough compliments to service I got from Viansa Winery. From the date of consultation and the visit all the way to the day of my wedding, everything was so smooth, professional, and organized. I had Meredith for my wedding coordination and she really is the best. She is very easy to get along with and truly down to earth. She gave me a lot of insights and recommendations, which I desperately needed. I always got quick responses through phone calls or emails. I just had my DREAM wedding on 9/12/08 at Viansa. It was a friggin' fairytale, and even though biased, absolutely one of the best weddings I have ever attended!!! We worked with Brooke Altman and she was amazing. This venue is a little more pricey, but not super super high-end. You get what you pay for.There were many reasons we chose this winery vs. the billion others we researched. These are:1. REALLY great wine to choose from.2. The catering (Sage Catering) is a given. You have to go with them, which we thought was limiting at first, but not having to deal with that part of the planning was really nice and the food was super delicious. The catering staff are experts and most have worked for Viansa for years, so they are very experienced and know the venue so well, that you don't have to worry about "employees for the day" nonsense.3. They allow dogs, which was good because we had 2 in our ceremony.4. It has the most beautiful vista scenery, perfect for your memorable picture-taking.5. You can easily get married outdoors and inside the barrel room, so if it rains, you're covered at no extra cost!6. It's one of the closest and easy to get to wineries from SF. We loved Trentadue too, but it's SO far away from the city. By choosing Viansa, it still allowed people who lived in the city or Oakland, etc. to easily drive back so they didn't have to pay and arm & a leg for a hotel in wine country.

Brooke Altman, the wedding coordinator for Viansa, was professional and really fun to work with. The wedding was beautiful and everything came together flawlessly. We did not need to hire an outside wedding planner because Brooke had everything under control. The food was amazing and all of the staff were hard working and really seeming to enjoy themselves.

Brooke was our main contact and little did we know, she was so wonderful that it was more of a wedding planner. She took everything we asked for and put together the most wonderful wedding. The setting was unforgettable, the knowledgeable staff was impeccable and even though we had a slight misunderstanding with the caterer, Brooke made it up to us by providing an extra hour of dancing under the stars. It truly was the perfect wedding and worth every penny we spent. Viansa made it so memorable that friends and family are still talking about our wedding 6 MONTHS LATER. Thanks Viansa! Booking Viansa was one of the smartest decisions we made in our wedding planning process. The venue is just so beautiful, and working with the staff was an absolute pleasure. Brooke Altman was our wedding manager/coordinator, and I am not kidding when I say that the wedding would not have happened without her expertise and skilled help! I was initially worried about planning the wedding from the other side of the country (Boston), but upon meeting Brooke (and her awesome assistant Meredith) all my fears were allayed. She is an absolute master of organization, had great suggestions for decor and table settings, and was just so accomodating of all our requests (even when I changed my mind several times about things like table linens). Working with her during the planning process, I came to trust her professional judgment 100%, and was rewarded on the wedding day by her perfect execution of the vision she helped me bring to reality. I was amazed by her attention to details, including the unexpected basket of white parasols she set out for the comfort of our guests. I am so glad that we had our wedding at Viansa and that we got to work with Brooke and Meredith, both of whom made the planning process easy and fun!

Viansa provided exceptional service! It was the most beautiful, amazing ceremony and the reception was like a fairy tale. The best part is the staff and coordinator took care of everything before and the day of, I just got to enjoy myself and so did my guests.

Our coordinator Brooke was absolutely terrific. She worked with both my mom and I in planning our wedding; answering all our questions, pricing many different options, being very flexible, coordinating outside vendors, etc. The wedding was flawless and beautiful and I have no doubt that this is a direct result of the professional and experienced staff at Viansa, especially Brooke.The venue is beautiful any time of year and Viansa is able to accomodate bad weather with their indoor barrel room. Guests were amazed with the natural beauty of the setting, I would recommend Viansa for any bride and groom.Thank you for a beautiful wedding!

Fabulous!! I really can't say enough about Viansa. Our wedding on June 6, 2010 was absolutely wonderful! Many of our guests even told us that it was the best wedding that they had ever attended! Not only was the space beautiful and elegant, but the staff were a joy and made everything run like clockwork. Honestly, I could not have been happier with the venue and with Laura, our coordinator, who put it all together. To top it off, we actually planned our entire wedding in less than 3 months, but it looked like we had spent a year on the details thanks to Viansa. All through the process, Laura and her staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. With every detail, question or worry that I might have, Laura was on top of it all promptly and with ease. She made me feel worry-free from start to finish. I truly felt that I was in great hands and the day went off without a hitch. I cannot give Viansa a higher recommendation. It was truly fabulous!

Viansa is a great venue if you are looking for a location that can accomodate both the ceremony and reception where you don't have to worry about transporting your guests from one place to the next. The venue has many options you can have an indoor or outdoor ceremony weather permitting. The view is amazing and if you like Sonoma, this is one of the first wineries located at the top of the hill.For my wedding in May 2011, I worked with Laura Johnson and she was a pleasure to work with, she responded to my emails in a timely manner and was very flexible with the many last minute changes I made. Laura, was present on the day of my wedding as the onsight coordinator to make sure everything worked out as planned and went smoothly. In the end, everything went as planned and we did not run into any problems. It was a worry free day for me and I was able to enjoy my special day.

We worked with Cortney for our September wedding at Viansa and it was perfect. Throughout the planning process up until the days following the wedding, Cortney was incredibly helpful. I am fortunate enough to work in the Sonoma area so if I ever needed to stop by with questions or to see the cellar, I was greeted with a smile and the answers I needed. I'm sure that I asked Cortney the same questions over and over in an effort to get things right and she answered me promptly every time. She would even let me know when she wasn't going to be in so I didn't have to worry that she wasn't responding or had forgotten about me. On the day of the wedding, Cortney was off getting other things ready and I had to bug Meredith and Laura (two of the other event coordinators) for a few things and they were lovely as well!Also, the staff at the wedding were great! At any point during the night, you could ask any of them anything and they'd have an answer. One of our guests lost his cell phone, we brought it to Cortney's attention and within an hour after the wedding ended someone called to say they had found it.As a bride who planned a wedding in 8 months I highly recommend using Viansa as a venue. They were easy to work with, the venue is gorgeous and they offer a lot of flexibility in terms of venders (some places we looked at wouldn't allow venders that weren't on their preferred list!). I highly recommend Viansa and Cortney!

Here is your first tip-off that this is an excellent place: I am a guy, taking over an hour out of my time, to find the right words to say how I "feel" about something. There are so many different things that go into a wedding, I naturally assumed at least one or two things would go wrong on my Wedding Day. Did not happen. It was completely seamless, perfect transition from one stage to the next. Objectively, I (and others) would have given it a 96% to 98%. The food was very good, but we stuck to the baseline of just Chicken for dinner because of budget (all in all it was about 30k - 35k, which may not be a lot to some, but we were pinching pennies). The steak we tried during the bi-annual sample event was fantastic, and it would have been nice if we could have afforded to add it on. Otherwise, it was perfect and here is why: First and foremost, the wedding coordinator, Meredith Lynch, is for lack of a better word, spectacular. Nice, friendly, efficient, thorough, professional, prepared, etc. I am 100% certain that the success of the evening was due to her efforts. She remained in constant contact with us, concerning every detail about the wedding (including things we had not even previously considered or thought about) for at least a year prior to the wedding. During the Wedding/Reception, we had to make a few adjustments (e.g. delay it a bit because guests who flew 2,000 miles were running late, etc), but the adjustments were easy, effortless, and tactful. I could go on and on…if you want further details just let me know. Second, the DJ, Tony, was superb. Professional. He also works doing another job at Viansa so he worked well with Meredith and knew the facility (and thus set up) very well. Tailored the music perfectly for us throughout the reception. Perfect transitions from opening song, to announcing that groom, best men, and fathers were giving speeches, to transitioning from classical music during dinner to more upbeat after… Third, all the other vendors were great. And I would be more than willing to share my experiences with them to interested parties (i.e. flowers, string trio for ceremony, lighting, CAKE, etc). Finally, you just can’t beat the venue. If you want a winery (or are entertaining the idea) this is it! My wife and I were engaged for about 3 years (duration of law school), and during that time we traversed Napa and Sonoma Counties. Many wineries were just OK, then at the end one long day we randomly turned into Viansa. We were skeptical because it is right next to a main road (noise problems), but were pleasantly surprised when we realized it was sufficiently tucked away that the noise was a non-issue. We went to the back of the venue and found two wonderful aspects: 1) the view is unparalleled (e.g. mountains and wine country), and 2) a big white tent (wife always wanted to have an outdoor reception under one, though they are also building a secondary reception building soon for those who prefer a building). And I could go on… but suffice it to say, there are a million great things. I’m not a sappy, gushy man, but my wedding at Viansa was simply, perfect.

Meredith Lynch at Viansa is the nicest and most patient and flexible wedding planner. She worked with me for over a year and helped me plan the wedding of my dreams. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and I would not have changed a thing!

Viansa reception was just amazing, and really made it feel like bill gate's son's wedding. If you have a flexible budget and are looking for a dreamy and classy reception, Viansa is a great choice.

Viansa is the most beautiful venue and the service and staff were amazing! My only advice is to be very specific on how you want things to run. Since they are so used to doing weddings they will just go off their own timeline, but if you want something a certain way (i.e- where the cake table is, etc) then just let them know. They are very accomodating. Also, there is an additional cost if you want the chandeliers in the tent or the string lighting with the lanterns over the outside dancefloor. Just be sure to factor that all in your budget!

I worked with Meredith Lynch, who was an amazing on-site wedding coordinator from the start to the finish. I had no idea what I was doing and was convinced I was going to screw everything up, but Meredith was very patient and accommodated every request that I had. When I was struggling, she had great suggestions. She also didn't make me feel bad when I mentioned that I wanted to limit my spending (which I consider a major plus in the oft snobby wine country). I can't say enough about Meredith. Every single request that I made throughout the year made it into the wedding even though I kept changing my mind about highly specific things. Meredith remembered everything. Even three weeks after the event was done, she was still helping me wrap things up. Meredith is awesome.And then there is Viansa itself... wow. My husband and I had originally written Viansa off because it had a tent, and we didn't want to use a tent, but then we saw it off the side of the road when we drove by and had to go see the property. We immediately knew that we wanted to get married there because it made such a huge impression on us. It is beautiful. It manages to work in flowers, fountains, vineyards, bird baths, you name it without ever taking away from the natural surroundings. I was scared to go back after the first visit because I was sure it couldn't look better than I remembered it. In fact, each time I go back I think it is more and more beautiful. I know my guests loved it as well. The wedding was the unqualified best night of my life. It was a quiet, beautiful setting, and the tent was actually wonderful. You can completely transform it. Because the evening was warm, they rolled up the sides of the tent and the guests could see the sun set over the nature preserve. Combined with the amazing work of my other vendors, as well as the personal touches from my guests, it was magical and high energy. I will never, ever forget it.The only reason I docked the venue half a star for "value for cost" is because the reception didn't include any lighting of consequence or a dance floor. The lighting I understood, but I thought the lack of dance floor was very weird. In the end it wasn't necessary and actually looked better in the photos without it. Anyway. That stuff is just nitpicky and ultimately wouldn't sway my decision. Bottom line - THANK YOU MEREDITH AND VIANSA!!! BEST. DECISION. EVER!!

We had a beautiful wedding day thanks to the staff at Viansa. Everything was perfect, Brook was on task and attentive and our day went just as planned, thank you so much. The wedding pictures turned out amazing and we would recommend Viansa to anyone we know. Our only regret was we didn't get to enjoy the incredible food since we were so busy,and I would have loved to have taken a complimentary plate home for later that night. Viansa was a dream come true venue. We were planning a shot gun wedding and the coordinators at Viansa were able to rise to the challenge and help us create that special day. The venue alone, even in March is gorgeous, from the natural beauty of the vineyard, to the tuscan architecture, and romantic ambiance created in their wine cave with candles. Our coordinators were beyond responsive, and were available to us even on their days off! I can't say enough good things about Viansa! I'd highly recommend the winery to any couple looking to get married.

My husband and I got married at Viansa Winery on July 24, 2011. Our wedding was more than we could have ever dreamed of, and several of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they have ever attended! :) I worked with Cortney during the planning process, and she was absolutely fabulous. In fact, I'm sure our wedding would not have been as great without her! Since our wedding was a destination for us (we are from Chicago), I was certainly anxious about everything coming together the way we envisioned. The event staff at Viansa were fantastic - they were friendly and easy to work with; they listened to our vision for our wedding and then helped us with recommendations for other vendors when necessary and were able to create exactly what we wanted. The evening went off perfectly - everything went so smoothly and looked amazing. And we had the best time not having to worry about anything on the day of.

We organised our wedding through Brooke Altman at Viansa. Living in the UK we were a bit concerned about how we would get everything sorted being so far away but Brooke couldn't have been more helpful and lovely in every way. She was very patient answering the thousands of questions we had and made us feel calm and confident about the whole arrangement. Everyone there was incredibly flexible when we made changes to our plans and inundated them with little bits and bobs we'd ordered for decorations. We knew venue would be amazing when we found it but on the day everyone really went above and beyond. All the staff were brilliant - incredibly friendly and professional and the service was perfect. We had been planning to have the ceremony outdoors enjoying the beautiful views but last minute rain meant we had to relocate in to the barrel room which turned out to be a perfect, beautiful alternative and proved no problem for the team to sort at short notice. We had such a wonderful day and couldn't praise the venue or the staff highly enough.

I can not say enough good things about Viansa. Meredith was our planner and she made the experience fun, stress free and most of all made us feel important and that she was available whenever we needed her. She even helped me research other vendors when it came to decor, etc. We can not imagine having gotten married anywhere else. It was perfect and absolutely beautiful.

We visited Viansa nearly three years before booking. The grounds are so breathtakingly beautiful, so it was our first choice. We worked with our coordinator Cortney (who is awesome)from New York to plan a intimate November wedding. From start to finish she was the utmost professional, answering all our emails and taking the time to call my hubby and I to for a phone conference.

On the day of our wedding, Viansa was just as beautiful as I remember it. The staff was great at accomodating our guests and just making sure all everything went smoothly. The food which is provided by Sage Catering is delicious. Everything was set up to my expectations and looked absolutely beautiful.

There is a minimum wine purchase and we did have a lot of extra wine left over which we gave to guests. Viansa is pricey, as are most of the venues in this region, but you will absolutely get what you pay for because I wedding was beautiful and went off with a hitch.

We booked our wedding at Viansa from a distance and we could not have been happier with the venue, the assistance of Cortney (the onsite coordinator), the food, or the suggested vendors. A particular kudos goes to Cortney, who was a pleasure to work with and made the whole thing far less stressful than it could have been.

our wedding was perfect! we actually were anticipating a few things to go wrong, but nothing went wrong - it was literally a perfect wedding!the venue is absolutely stunning. we got married in the outside courtyard and the reception was in the tent upstairs. everything from timing, the food, the wine, the servers... it was just great! meredith lynch was our on-site coordinator, and she was just amazing! very sweet/personable, extremeley prompt and responsive with emails, super organized, and every part of the wedding was on time. we couldn't have asked for a better on-site coordinator. we were really worry-free during the entire wedding.the site fee is definitely not cheap, but if you get married on a friday or sunday, the site fee is MUCH lower than getting married on a saturday :)

Brooke at Viansa is one of the most professional people I have ever worked with. She is down to earth, very responsive and extremely accomodating. Plus, she is totally sensitive to bridezilla neuroticism. I could not have done it without her! Plus Viansa is a beautiful venue for your dream wedding. If you are getting married in October, definitely prepare for the possibility of wind during your ceremony. That was the only thing we didn't anticipate. Other than date, the day was perfect!!

Brooke and her team at Viansa were amazing to work with as we planned our wedding. Brooke is very organized and professional, not to mention accommodating and flexible. She always did her best to meet our demands and always responded to our concerns quickly. Our wedding was just beautiful and ran very smoothly, largely because of the team at Viansa. The food was delicious, as was the wine. Make sure to go to their tasting and sample everything (including the wines) before you make your final decisions. Also pay attention to her preferred vendor list. We chose many of our vendors that way, and they all turned out to be pretty good. There is not much you can do about the weather, which can be quite unpredictable. We had a really windy day in early October, but luckily Viansa's reception area is inside of a tent that is heated! We highly recommend Viansa if you want to have a wine country wedding!

The venue was beautiful and the service was great! Our planner Brooke was super helpful and professional. Food was excellent as well. We had a great wedding and everyone enjoyed it! Would highly recommend it if you want to a wedding in wine country.

Viansa is not only a beautiful setting for a wedding and reception, but it has a terrific staff. Since I was planning the wedding from the east coast, it was important to be able to reach staff members. Laura always responded to my emails within a day and addressed any question, not matter how small. The serving staff was professional and most accommodating the day of the wedding. There was no issue too small for the Viansa staff to address. Our guests described the site as a fairytale setting and we could not have been happier with our decision to use Viansa.

The setting is spectacular, and the entire evening was as memorable as the Tuscan-style winery and its grounds. Every one of our guests remarked on the natural beauty of the facility – from the Tuscan courtyard to the breathtaking view from the terrace and tented pavilion. We looked at more than a dozen possible venues for our daughter’s wedding, and none came close to Viansa. Not only did the winery cater the food and provide the tables, chairs, and tableware, but they also provided a “day of” coordinator for all of the on-site details. Our coordinator, Laura Johnson, responded promptly, courteously, and professionally to a myriad of e-mail questions posed over the course of ten months, and she ensured that every detail at our ceremony, reception, and dinner was handled smoothly and flawlessly.

Viansa exceeded our expectations in every way. If you are a looking for a classic wine country wedding, look no further! We got married in their wine cellar (so romantic), had our cocktail hour in their tasting room, and the reception in their tent. It was a challenge finding a venue in Wine Country that could accommodate an indoor ceremony and reception. Most wineries have outdoor ceremony space, but since our wedding was in December that wouldn’t do. We were thrilled to find Viansa. One of the benefits of going with Viansa is that they provide a day of coordinator. We were lucky enough to work with Brooke Altman who has been there for years. Brooke is so professional and responded quickly to each email we sent. Our wedding had several details and moving parts and Brooke executed each one flawlessly. Because of her calm personality and organizational skills, we could relax on the day of the wedding and feel confident that she would bring our vision to life. The entire Viansa staff was wonderful. So professional and friendly. They added to the joy of our day! The food and wine was also exceptional. We received so many compliments on the beauty of the location, the quality of food and wine and the friendliness of the staff. We were so proud to bring our family and friends to Viansa and know that it was a memorable experience for them all. The only negative about Viansa that I see is that their weddings are in 5 hour blocks. Weddings begin there at 6 pm since they are open to the public until 5 pm. They end at 11 pm. If you have a longer ceremony like we did, then there isn’t much time for dancing once dinner and toasts are over. They do give you the option to extend the reception, which is nice, but it costs a small fortune. We paid the fee to get an extra 30 minutes, but it still wasn’t enough. My single only regret about our entire wedding was that it wasn’t longer. Otherwise, I would give Viansa an A+.

This venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff went above and beyond. One thing to keep in mind though is that since most of the wedding coordinators work on weekends, they have a few days off during the week, which is why I didn't give 5 stars on responsiveness. With this being said though, I always heard back from Brooke when I knew she was in the office. She was on top of everything and made the process less stressful than I thought it would be!!

We got married at Viansa in April and it truly was the most amazing day of our lives. Our ceremony was in the courtyard and it felt like we were getting married at a rustic Italian villa. The views from the top of the hill are breathtaking; such a romantic place to get married. We love it!

Viansa Winery is a beautiful place to have your wedding. It is romantic and it provides the ambiance of a very nice wedding. All the staff are wonderful to work with. They are very helpful and professional in all aspects. They try their best to provide you a stress free wedding.

When we first saw Viansa we fell in love with the venue. Its exceptionally beautiful and had everything we were looking for in a place to hold our wedding reception. We met with our coordinator Brooke, who was absolutely wonderful. She allowed me the freedom to dream up my vision for how I wanted the place to look. She was accomodating, patient, and fun to work with. The service was unparalleled. The servers were fast, organized, and unintrusive. I thought the levels of professionalism and flexibility were extremley high. Viansa, was pricier than I first thought, simply because I didnt pay attention to the "extra costs" until they started to add up. We had the time of our lives and wouldnt not have changed a thing!

It's the best place and they give you their very best service.

Laura Johnson, our wedding consultant, was very professional and always responded very promptly with all our requests and questions. She was wonderful to work with. We realized that our desire to have an open seating arrangement and utilize as much of the grounds as possible was something that is not typically done at Viansa, but Laura did an outstanding job of coordinating our activities and did a great job on the day of the wedding. There seemed to be only a few minor issues the day of the wedding. We started a little late (not sure what caused that since I was in the cellar), our emcee was missing his list to announce the wedding party (not sure what happened here), the rented furniture was slightly different (Laura made adjustments for us already), perhaps an announcement should have been made as to where the food stations were located (guests eventually found them, but some said they missed some stations).Aside from these minor issues, all our guests have told us what a beautiful location it was, the food was amazing, the openness was so unique and the extra activities (cigar bar, port wine, s'mores, wine tasting) were all big hits! We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome of this very special day.One last thing to mention is perhaps Viansa might consider including some of the little extras (e.g., garment rack, fire pits for s'mores) in the facility fee? It felt a bit like we were "nickled and dimed" for such small costs. Of course it did not prevent us from having our wedding here.Again, our hats off to Laura for the wonderful work she did in making our special day so memorable!! Viansa Winery is a beautiful wedding location. The views are gorgeous and the winery has dramatic backdrops. Minimal decorations add to the beauty. The scene for the ceremony is lovely, but weather can effect your success. Day of our wedding it was pretty windy. Some guests in the back couldn't hear the ceremony. Viansa does a great job in making sure the timeline goes smoothly. The cocktail hour is nice, we had to do ours inside the marketplace due to weather. The staff do a good job passing around hors dourves. The reception tent is a blank canvas you can decorate as you wish, which is really nice. It was really windy for our dinnertime, which made it awkward, but when the dancing started nobody noticed. Again our timeline went smoothly and everyone got their meals hot. I think the staff were very attentive to the guests. One downside is you have to walk a bit to get to the restrooms outside. As with many other wineries in the area, it is pricey. The prices reflect when you get married both seasonally and day of the week. Viansa uses one caterer, Sage, for the food. No choice in that. We had a food tasting event ahead of time and we got to sample some of the options, which were pretty good, but every added item to the menu was an added cost, and it was not cheap. I wouldn't say you get a value for the cost, but the food is good. Also they charge based on # of people and if you don't have enough guests they require a minumum $ spent for food and wine. Luckily you get to take home leftover wine. Actually we received everything back at the end of the night, such as our champagne glasses and cake cutter, even a few pieces of leftover cake! Our coordinator, Laura did a great job. She was very responsive and organized. She answered every question and gave her input when it was requested. All expectations were laid out and delivered. We met with her a few times and she does a great job responsing to emails. I did not stress day of because the Viansa staff are really good. They are very detail oriented and organized, and I like that. One thing I didn't like was there was a rehearsal right outside the bridal changing room day of our wedding and we were stuck in there for a little while waiting for them to finish. But overall, we were really happy, and our guests were happy. Many of our guests spent the night in Sonoma and went wine tasting the next day. It was a nice treat for them.Also, Viansa offers a long list of preferred vendors but they are open to any vendors as long as you provide their information ahead of time.

Our wedding at Viansa was an absolute dream. If you have the money to spend you can do just about whatever you want as their white tent provides a great canvas and their grounds are stunning. It was a destination wedding for 99% of our guests and everyone was in love with Viansa. We hung antique chandeliers from the tent but kept the sides open so everyone could enjoy the gorgeous view. Viansa also allowed us to have our dance floor outside under Italian strung light bulbs. The staff is extremely professional and very good at what they do. Post ceremony the guests were greeted with waiters holding trays of cosmopolitan martinis and wine which everyone loved. The only thing I would have changed was the ability to extend past midnight.

Stunning Wedding Location for larger weddings!

They say the three most important things about hosting an event are location, location, location. While it's not completely true, location is nevertheless one of the key factors that can literally make or break your party. We've been working with Viansa on a number of occasions, and all we can say is "We love you, Viansa Winery!" The breathtaking view of Sonoma Valley, abundant selection of great wines, friendly and attentive staff - we can go on and on. But it's better to see once than to hear 100 times, so take a trip to this magic place and see for yourself why it should be your number one choice for any event!

Viansa has THE best view in the entire Sonoma Valley. Every single wedding I have photographed there has gone off without a hitch and it is such a unique and stunning setting.

Viansa Winery is gorgeous, in a great location, and my experience there was fantastic.

If you are planning a wedding in Wine Country, then you must visit Viansa Winery- There is nothing else like it! Sweeping, 360 views of vineyard hills on one side, and wetlands as far as the eye can see on the other. The entire property offers a photo opportunity. The ceremony usually takes place at the Tuscan inspired courtyard, in front of massive cellar doors with beautifully scrolled iron gates. Olive trees, fountains, lovely gardens, and secluded pathways enhance the romance! After the vow exchange, continue through the cellar lit with candles, and proceed to the Alta Mura tent for a night you and your guests will always remember. Viansa also sets the standard for hospitality. Our floral team has worked out at Viansa for many years now, and each time I return, I am still taken back by it's beauty.

For a Wine Country wedding, I highly recomend Viansa Winery as an beautiful site for your special day!You will have the benefit of a well trained staff, and the use of an elegant "Tuscan" villa.
