I don't even know where to begin to describe all of the things that Andrew did to make our wedding AND pictures perfect. He is the sweetest, most fun person to have at your side on the most important day of your life. He not only captured our beautiful day but he calmed my nerves, answered all of my questions, soothed upset flower girls and redirected unruly bridesmaids. He is THE best wedding photographer out there. Every day that I look back on our wedding and flip through our hundreds of stunning pictures, I know that he was the best choice I made for our day. Definitely book him if you haven't already. He's perfect.

I was in the wedding party for a wedding at which Andrew Vick was the photographer.

I was not impressed at all.

He seemed OK at first, but after a handful of snarky comments towards me and other bridal party members (maybe he was trying to be funny?) my opinion of him quickly diminished. It really took a turn when I watched him push a guest out of the way to 'get a shot.' It wasn't the only time during the night either. He didn't really let the bride and groom even sit down to eat, just whisking them away for more staged photos. It was a disappointment to watch. It's the bride and groom's day, they should be able to enjoy it rather than be forced to cut the cake at a certain time, or have to leave their guests to take more pictures.

His photos are OK. Not great, nothing really original, just OK. He stages many moments and mostly creates the day and the moments and shots that he wants rather than truly CAPTURE the day. There are hardly any candid shots and most everything is staged (stand here, kiss her on the cheek, turn this way, now kiss her hand, etc.) The colors and retouching of the photos are OK, the way the photos are framed is OK, nothing really special.

If you're looking for a photographer who will stage your day and create moments, then he might be your guy. (Although, seems a little overpriced for that.)

If you want a photographer who will CAPTURE your day and all of the candid moments that make it so special, look elsewhere.

We flew Andrew Vick in from MN to be our photographer in Chicago last november for our wedding. He was AWESOME! Not only does he take amazing pictures but he really adds a lot to the wedding day itself. He took time to make special moments (like made time for me and my dad to be alone before we walked down the isle), gave a great pep talk to the bridal party. He is extremely funny and has the best personality. Always staying on track! Cant wait to see these pictures! You can google his name to see what type of pics he takes...they are insane!

SO glad to have had Andrew involved in our day - we had such a wonderful time and we can't wait to see our photos. We had him shoot our engagement pictures as well and were blown away. He is extremely friendly and easy to work with - he was well prepared on the day of the wedding - has locations all picked out to go explore and really creates some unique shots. He is definitely the best (was even voted best of MN Bride 2008!) and would recommend him to anyone in an instant! He definitely is on the high-end price wise; but is well worth it.

If you choose Vick Photography for your wedding day - you will NOT be disappointed. And you will have unbelievable and memorable photographs that capture every emotion of the day.

Vick Photography is so easy to work with and really make you feel special, like your wedding is the most important thing they are working on. Andrew Vick (photographer) is a joy to work with and really made us feel comfortable during our photos, as well as had a lot of fun with us!

If you like candid shots and a different style of photography than the typical boring "stand in a line and smile" than Andrew Vick is your guy! He loves color and his photos pop like no other in the business! Although a little spendy, I would say he is 100% worth it!! He'll become one of your friends by the end. We love him and his talent!!
