Vince is the best! We met Vince a few years ago, since one of our close friends went to college with him and was present at their wedding. Since then, he's been shooting weddings for our entire group of friends. So when it came to my big day, I felt like I knew Vince already, having run into him at 4+ weddings already.Vince was very flexible with our budget and was more concerned about capturing our wedding day than collecting money or counting the hours. His prices are very reasonable (and better than most out there!). For example, we didn't quite have the budget for a full-on engagement session, so he offered us a "mini-engagement session" to help us meet our budgetary needs. He even let one of my friends, who was interested in photography, tag along and even gave him tips along the way!A few weeks before the wedding, we met up for boba, and he went over a detailed list/rundown of the day with us in order to make sure he was on the same page as us. While he is professional, he is also very approachable and seems more like chatting with a friend than doing business with a vendor. As we mentioned above, Vince was more concerned about what we wanted and what we liked, and constantly solicited our feedback.On our wedding day, he showed up extra early to scope out the venue and potential photo spots. He found some great scenes that we wouldn't have thought of, and the photos turned out great! Vince really has a photographer's eye. Throughout the night, he was always there to capture any impromptu moments; he just magically appeared! He kept shooting well past his shift and we had to tell him several times that he could just relax and enjoy the evening.Overall, Vince is a great photographer and cares more about capturing your special occasion than anything else.

We had a really small and intimate wedding at Portola Valley Presbyterian church. Vincent did an amazing job bringing the atmosphere back into the pictures. People told us they can feel how beautiful the wedding was just by looking at the pictures. He was really professional, we didn't even notice he was there. After the ceremony he took the time to take some pictures of the two of us. The light that night turned out to be so beautiful so he just stayed quite a bit longer to take some great extra shots!We highly recommend Vincent! We love our pictures.

Vincent Au is an incredibly talented photographer! We were very happy when Vince agreed to take our engagement photos for us! My fiance was not living in the Bay Area at the time, so our schedule was very limited, but Vince did not mind at all and was very accommodating to our schedule! On the day of our shoot, Vince met up with us in the city and we headed to our first location: Legion of Honours. Posing in front of the camera and having to publicly display our affection was not really our thing, but Vince managed to help us relax and really helped us become more comfortable with the idea! There were lots of other people doing photo shoots that day but Vince was very patient and captured many amazing pictures – looking at the picture you would think we had the entire place to ourselves! We then headed to Sausalito for more photos. Vince truly has a knack for photography and he did not mind getting dirty at all – I remember him lying on the floor during this one part of our photo session just to capture that perfect shot for us! As we were making our way home, after shooting for 2+ hours, Vince all of a sudden told us to exit the highway and brought us to this special location for some additional photos just to catch the sunset! Vince is a professional photographer who cares about his clients tremendously. He is always willing to make that extra effort to go all out for his clients! Our only regret was finding out that he already had another wedding during our date, but at least we got some very nice engagement photos to share with family and friends during our wedding!

We had the pleasure of working with Vincent for our wedding. He's calming, professional, and really caring. I would recommend him for all my friend's weddings.Here's how our experience went down:INTRODUCTIONSWe were referred to Vincent by a friend, and met up with him at a local Starbucks for the first time. We did not know what to really expect and how photographers usually get involved. With his experience, Vincent proposed several options for how we could work together -- whether we want to do engagement photos, have multiple photographers, how to structure our time on the day of the wedding, etc. We walked away much more informed and was able to make the necessary trade-offs in terms of what we wanted and budget. I found his packages to be in the medium-range, not overpriced, and great value.WEDDING DAYVincent proposed several ideas for how the wedding day could unfold and we set an agenda. My wife really liked the idea of a "first look" shoot so we worked around that. I'd have to say that he took amazing pictures during the "getting ready" phase with her dress, our rings, etc. Really capturing the spirit and intimacy that we were aiming for with our wedding. I also appreciated the action shots during my shoot with the groomsmen. CEREMONY & RECEPTIONDuring the ceremony, Vince was behind the scenes capturing every moment and expression. And during cocktail hour, he managed all the family and friend shots well with such a limited time. Our reception was action-packed as we did some non-conventional things like a flip cup game in the middle of the dance floor -- and Vincent was there to archive the action. And Vincent made great rounds around the ballroom and made sure that we got pictures with our attendees. POST-WEDDINGIn a timely manner, we received a DVD from Vincent with all the wedding photos and he also put up an online slideshow gallery that we could share with friends! I found Vincent by searching online for wedding photographers. I was looking for someone that had a photo journalistic style, rather than all the boring portraits you typically see from wedding photographers. I loved his online photo galleries and I could tell he had special talent for telling even bride and grooms wedding story. After meeting with him, I loved him even more. He was the first and only photographer I met with and I was confident that he would do an amazing job. Vincent photographed our wedding on May 15, 2010. My wedding party and guest at the wedding were raving about how great he was, and that was before even seeing his work. Vincent was so nice and polite and very responsive throughout the process. We had a sneak peak of a few of our pictures within two days of our wedding! And, the full online gallery was available within 3 weeks of our wedding, which is really fast for a wedding photographer. Needless to say, we loved them. They were more beautiful that we imagined. Vincent really captured the essence and emotion of our special day. Seeing the pictures allowed some of my guest, who were unable to attend, watch the day as it took place.My friends, family and colleagues raved about how great the pictures where stating: "They were the best wedding pictures they have ever seen," and "Your pictures are so great, I hate wedding pictures, after seeing yours." My husband and I are headed to India for a traditional Indian wedding in October. I am sad to think that we won't have Vincent there to capture our special day. I know I will not find a photographer in India that will take such amazing pictures as Vincent did for our American wedding.

Ok so we did a lot of research on Vincent before saying yes. Well, if all the reviews are great then he must be great right? RIGHT!

We are so happy to have chosen Vincent as our photographer. He is so organized, friendly, hard working and extremely helpful. Not to mention easy going and very professional. Vincent caters to his clients’ needs and extremely good at follow ups. You know how people say go with your gut instinct? Well you should. Not once did I feel he would not work out. Some vendors are awful. Slow and delayed responses making you feel as if your business is not important. However, this is not the case with Vincent Au’s Photography. This guy is on top of it!

He is very comfortable to work with. Being in front of a camera can be awkward for some people… like us newlyweds. However, he was able to walk me through every moment. He even helped with the cake cutting process to capture beautiful photos. He works hard and is always on the move. I remember whispering to my now husband when Vincent was running around with all his heavy photog gears on him just to capture all the moments. He was breaking sweat. I said, “Man, this guy is working super hard.” My husband agrees!

Our family and friends all enjoy looking at his work. His style of photography is fabulous. The lighting, the angles are all very artistic. I still shed tears when I view the photos. He has captured some very emotional moments and the expressions and emotions of the guests who were there. Priceless!

After seeing some of Vincent's published photos online, my fiancee and I decided to ask him to shoot our engagement photos. We chose Stanford University as our location, since we both attended graduate school there. Vince knew the campus inside out, including all the most picturesque backdrops. Now, while engagement photos tend to be awkward - taken with uncomfortable poses, fake half-smiles and unflattering costumes - Vince had an uncanny ability to make us feel at ease in front of the camera, and this resulted in some fantastic, candid and genuine shots. During the shoot, Vince surprised us by his willingness to get dirty (literally) - e.g. he lay down, sprawled on the middle of an asphalt road and squatted in moist, knee-high grass, just so he could capture a particular angle of us. Most importantly, he made the session fun - the 2.5 hours flew by before we knew it! My only complaint is that he turned us down for our wedding day (our loss), as we're scheduled to be married on a weekday. I highly recommend him. Best qualities: professional, responsive, easy-going, creative.

We used Vincent Au Photography for our SF reception. Vincent was a real pleasure to work with-- extremely responsive, talented, and just overall great person. Even our guests had wonderful things to say about him. He also gave us a digital copy of the pictures as part of the package so we were able to share those wonderful moments with our family and friends without having to pay a small fortune. We were so impressed and happy with our pictures, we later purchased a session for a family member expecting twins as a baby shower gift. We only wished he was available in Hawaii, where we had our ceremony. Book him now, and you'll be off to a great start to a wonderful wedding!

Best find EVER!!!!! Vincent is AMAZING!!!! First off, I am a "frugal" bride and his pricing is by far the best. After getting our pictures it even more reinforced the fact that we got the quality of a very professional photographer but at a price that sounds too good to be true, BUT IT WAS TRUE!!! Vincent caught every moment and everyone came out beautiful. The wedding day for me was pretty hectic and difficult but seeing the pictures makes everything soo worth it. In addition to providing us with beautiful pictures, I never got so many compliments on how polite and courteous our photographer was. All of our family members said that he was always thoughtful of where he was taking the pictures, making sure he was not blocking any of their views of the ceremony or reception. He made sure to be everywhere at the right time. Even before the wedding he made efforts to always reach out to us and make sure he had a full understanding of how the wedding would flow. There was never a moment of doubt and Vincent was a man of his word. During such a stressful time it's important to have a photographer that is confident and reliable because in the end you really only have the pictures to show for it. And not to brag, but my pictures are BEAUTIFUL and it's all thanks to Vincent. I have and will continue to refer Vincent to anyone that is looking for a great wedding photographer. I call him my "great find," I actually found Vincent on Craigslist. A pretty risky choice but when I met with him and saw his work, I didn't care where I found him he was great. Where do I begin, Vincent is my "great find" on Craigslist. Like every bride, I was on a budget but I didn't want to sacrifice quality. Vincent is the best of both. He was very thorough with his work as wells as considerate of what my husband and I would be comfortable with. My Marine husband and I are not used to taking pictures at all and I was worried that we might come out looking silly and unnatural but Vincent captured the best moments and I think we turned out great. I got numerous compliments throughout the whole day about how polite our photographer was and how he made sure he took pictures of everyone and every moment. The wedding day was extremely stressful to me but see the pictures at the end made the whole day worth it. The best part of it all is that we didn't break the bank. Vincent really sounds like he's too good to be true but believe me he is WONDERFUL!!! Don't waste your money on booking a photographer that will charge you an arm and a leg. They say that you should consider spending 20% of you're wedding budget on the photographer, Vincent is proof that you don't have to. Anytime that I have an event in my life that I want to capture I will call Vincent.

I had an amazing experience with Vincent. We had a wedding of about 250 people and with all the logistics involved, I never felt like I had to worry about the photos. We had quite a few consultations prior to the wedding and Vincent was really flexible to our request. Vincent is really friendly, courteous and responsive, even emails at 1 in the morning. The pictures that he took were amazing. My wife and I are very happy with them and Vincent captured so many great moments during the day. I was completely blown away from the pictures that Vincent and his team photographers provided for our wedding day. There was never a moment that wasn't captured on his camera and he caught so many of our laughters, tears, smiles and emotions. When we saw the pictures, all we could say was WOW. In addition to that, he offered to take pics at an unlimited number of locations at no extra charge!!!Prior to hiring him, he scheduled a meeting with us to discuss what we expected of our photos, our timeline details, our budget and to address any questions we might have regarding the process. He was very prepared, gave us a list of suggested shots which he had us edit to our liking, had all his paperwork in order and was very easy-going! We decided to hire him and it was one of the best decisions we made. He wasn't stoic or cracking cheesy jokes when taking our pictures. He captured so many beautiful moments and it was like he wasn't event there - he wasn't intrusive at all! With the "posed" photos we requested (the usual, parents/bride, etc.) he made everyone feel at ease. My hubby tends to freeze up when there's a camera in front of him but Vincent was so laid back and funny that my hubby couldn't help but smile in the pics. Throughout the wedding reception, people were complimenting Vincent's professionalism, his humor and his patience (mind you, he was getting pulled every which way from people wanting to take pictures with us). Many asked me for his contact info because they were so impressed with his work.One week after the wedding, he uploaded many of our pics to his website so that everyone could view them and two weeks after the wedding, we received all of our photos, edited and in hi-res on a dvd. Our pics were beautiful and it was a wonderful experience working with Vincent Au Photography. We loved the fact that we could have our pics printed ourselves and not be nickeled and dimed like so many photographers tend to do! We've referred him to our friends and would definitely hire him again!

Vince is an amazing photographer! He can work wonders with his camera and has a great eye for capturing the moment from the best angle. All of our pictures turned out amazing! And not only was his work extraordinary, he has an awesome personality! He's very friendly, positive, and always has a smile on his face. He is VERY professional and will go the extra mile for his clients to capture great photography. He made us feel so comfortable that sometimes I didn't even notice he was there so we really can be ourselves for him to capture us naturally. I also loved how he would make us laugh to get us to relax and open up when we were getting too stiff at posed positions. He was very punctual in meeting us and in replying our questions, and he turned around our pictures quickly too! We absolutely enjoyed our photoshoot with him and would recommend him to anyone!

Vincent Au Photography was the best vendor we had at our wedding. His work is AMAZING and I couldn't have asked for any better pictures. He really has an "eye" for photography and is really passionate about his work. I would highly recommend him. Most of my bridesmaids liked him so much during our wedding party portrait session that they are planning to work with him in the future.

His packages were extremely reasonable and he was extremely courteous and patient with us during our entire day. You're missing out if you don't contact him and take a look at his website for some samples of his work!

Vincent is an amazing photographer! Since the moment I spoke with him on the phone he was very polite, gave me all the information I needed to know about him and his work. As for the day of my wedding, he was on time, great with me and my family. The moment he steps into my house he knows what to do with out any directions from me. Once the ceremony began, Vincent knows the right places to be with out interrupting the ceremony. Over all Vincent is an extraordinary photographer! My husband and I were pleased with his work so much that I have already recommended him to my friends and family.

Vincent made sure to capture every single moment of our day--he was there from the early morning to late at night, beginning to end. Vincent did an amazing job with shooting our wedding day. He was able to capture all the important and special moments of our wedding day. His style was completely what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. His shots are very candid, very photo journalistic and of course professional. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable during our wedding day that we didn't notice that he was taking pictures of us sometimes. He was able to capture all the little details of our wedding day from the flowers to the rings, venue, etc. With his quick and professional ability, he created an amazing slide show of our wedding ceremony on the day of our wedding that we were able to show it to our guests at our wedding reception.
