Reviews for Vintage Kitchen

If I could give this a 10 star rating I would. I stumbled on this location looking through websites much like this one. It had one review and it was a rave. After calling to schedule a site visit, I was amazed. I worked directly with the chef and owner Phillip Thomason. The menu he worked up for us was amazing and truly wonderful. He provided all the flower arrangements for the table at no additional cost. He also gave us the whole restaurant for the entire night and him and his staff created an atmosphere that made me feel like a million dollars. As a bride on a budget I never imagined I could have a movie star wedding but this location makes you feel like you can. It was so beautiful we have become some of his best customers. The only downside is the size would not be conducive to a large wedding.

Brides please beware. We had a horrific exterience at the Vintage Kitchen. We paid top dollar because of the Chef's reputation as a great Chef. Unfortunetly, the Chef did not honor my requests and my Wedding Planner had to plead with him to get the food out on time. Many of my guests left hungry and couldn't believe the Chef/Owner actually put a tip jar out after being asked not to. Very unprofessional, given his reputation as a "world traveled chef." The chef didn't even put plates out for our guest to eat on! Two of my guest had to cut and serve the cake themselves. While the food was struggling to get out of the kitchen, the Chef was behind the bar pouring weak drinks. Just a word of advice, do not choose a wedding location based on appearance alone. The Chef at Vintage Kitchen has a huge ego and unwillingness to meet the needs of the paying guests. Please don't make the same mistake!
