My husband and I met while we were students at Tech, so we had no doubt that we would get married at War Memorial Chapel. The space is absolutely perfect, and the people who work there are so nice and professional. Isaac was such a blessing--he helped us figure out some of the logistics of the day that we were unsure of, and he was willing to help us out with some of our crazier ideas!! If you have any ties to Tech, or a love of the campus and Blacksburg, this is definitely the best place to have your ceremony.

Jaime was amazing. I knew from the moment that I got engaged that I wanted to have the ceremony at War Memorial Chapel. Jaime made it so easy though. When I walked into her office, I was feeling completely frazzled by all the decisions that needed to be made. I told her what my ideas were for the wedding. She contributed her knowledge about the flow of the ceremonies in the past, and provided good reasons to alter it slightly. She was a great source of calm during the rehearsal and right before the wedding. I also have some great photos of her pinning the flowers on all the groomsmen.

If you're a Virginia Tech alum who wants to get married in Blacksburg, consider no other option! Jaime was extremely helpful during the planning stages and Issac was a huge help the day of (I believe Jaime was celebrating her OWN marriage on our wedding day!) He jumped right in where Jaime left off and helped make our ceremony perfect!

This was a great ceremony site. Even though there are mostly college students on hand, they were very professional and helpful. The price is very reasonable, but of course you have to be affiliated with the school to rent it out. Loved everything about it (except for the statues on the back wall...)

We were able to get the chapel on the day/time we wanted. The chapel is a perfect size for a wedding, a very intimate setting. They have a lot of options to decorate the chapel, but it was a little pricey for an item I was not expecting to spend as much on.

The chapel was wonderful. It provided an intimate setting for our wedding ceremony. Located right in the middle of the Virginia Tech campus it was significant because that's where our relationship blossomed. I cooresponded with Iris Cabatit who was amazingly helpful and flexible. She emailed me numerous information which helped with the planning process. And as the date approached, she reminded me of important aspects of the ceremony and items to consider...stuff that I otherwise would not have thought of while in the midst of the last minute preparations. The interior of the chapel looked great, and with minimal decoration it provided great atmosphere for the wedding ceremony. We simply rented the candlelight package from the chapel and flower and isle runner were provided by our florist. And the photos came out great! The exterior provided great background for wedding photos. With the columns above the chapel and the Virginia Tech campus we had many photo opps. Upon first visit to the chapel I was concerned that it was a bit dark inside, however, I did not mind the use of flash photography during the ceremony. The photographers did not have any trouble with the lighting and produced amazing photos. If you do not want flash photography during the ceremony, work with the chapel staff to see if they can brighten the chapel by turning on the lights. I preferred the dimmed recessed lighting because it created a very romantic atmosphere. I highly recommend the chapel!

A magestic chapel with elegant statues extending from the walls make for a magical look. Add candleabras to either side and a bride and groom center stage and you have a true fairy tale. My best friend, a Virginia Tech Alum, was walked down the long isle past a 260 guest full house. The site was unforgetable. Not only is the chapel beautiful, but for those who have a history at Virginia Tech this makes for a very meaningful choice. The chapel is only available to those who have an affiliation with Virginia Tech University such as students, alumni, and staff. It is important to schedule well ahead of time because the chapel is very popular. Services are held on Sundays so this venue is not available on on Sundays. The chapel is also unavailable on holidays and during VT football games. Rentals of candle holders, candleabras, bows, and such are available through the university. The university has been kind enough to make available online a wedding resource and referal guide which makes planning easier.
