"What a find" -- Designer gowns with great service and deep discounts!
Mena stayed open on a Sunday to offer personalized help, humor, and honest opinions (but no pressure) and I walked out with my perfect gown 3 hours later!
Viva Amore has a wide range of beautiful upscale, branded gowns in a variety of styles and sizes - all are high quality in terms of fabric and design but offered at very deep discounts. Compared to the larger, more generic discount bridal shop I visited the day before, where I didn't find one dress that would "suffice", at Viva Amore, every single gown was gorgeous, fit well, and seemed much better in terms of quality at half the price. The only hard part was narrowing the selection from the top 5 that I loved to pin down the perfect gown.
Also, hearing all the stories of Newbury St. salons where the service can be snobby and one has to try on a random size and then have your size ordered, hoping it fits upon arrival months later or can be altered (at a pretty penny), the owners of Viva Amore sell floor samples or individual dresses that may not have sold at other shops - so you can actually find a dress in your size - which is very helpful if you're more than size 12. My gown barely needs any alteration - I could wear it tomorrow if I had to!
Add to this great selection and good prices, Mena's great service and knowledge. She definitely was able to offer opinions about what styles fit me best and bring out the right gowns to try on - which helped move the process forward. She just cared and was a fun person to work with for 3 hours - making it an enjoyable experience, not stressful or rushed.
The shop is small - no room for friends or a bucket of champagne - and the fitting room could use a better mirror - but the personalized service more than made up for the overhead of an expensive salon.
Lastly, after you walk out with your beautiful new purchase, you still have money left over to eat some yummy mezza across the street at Sophra. A delicious end to a wonderful shopping experience.

I would like to say Thank You to Viva Amore for the beautiful wedding dress. I am a military bride in Upstate NY. We have been coresponding for the last week for the Brides across America charity event. They are the only Bridal place that was taking part in this event in Massachusetts. I found that they have been extremely pleasant to work with and would recomend them to everyone looking for that perfect dress for their memorable day.

Thank you ever ever so much! You know I told the story of how you drove through rain and Friday rush hour traffic to make sure I had the right shoes to everyone. And you know once I have a chance to settle in I will write you glowing reviews. The dress was beautiful and it fit like a glove. I have and will talk up Janette too, you all did an incredible job. It was so fitting because the ladies at the Steven's Estate were also warm and accommodating and fun to work with. I'll send you photos soon.

What a wonderful store! Anita was extremely helpful, nice, and knowledgeable. We both picked dresses out together for me to try on, and it almost seemed like she understood what I wanted more than I did! The dresses were gorgeous, and after having been at other stores with far higher prices, I almost couldn't believe how wonderful these gowns were. They were way less expensive and much much better! Most of the dresses I tried on needed minimal alterations, they fit so well and were so flattering! My only problem now is, which one to pick?!

I just visited your store with my best friend to help her find her wedding dress. She found a gorgeous dress for a very reasonable price. We are so happy! We dig and dig until we find places to get dresses at a great prices and pass that savings along to you! They come from a variety of places. We are always on the lookout for places to get dresses so the selection is always new and changing.

BOSTON -- A Watertown bridal shop is giving away free designer wedding gowns to military brides-to-be in honor of Veteran's Day.

Viva Amore Bridal Salon is joining Brides Across American to honor Military personnel who have served in Iraq, Afghanistan, or whose finaces are on active duty with free gowns.
"With the economy at its lowest and military couples are struggling to afford a wedding, it is important that we come together to show our appreciation for their brave service and commitment to our country," said Heidi Janson, founder of Brides Across America.
The event takes place from Nov. 10 to Nov. 23. To qualify, brides must be engaged, on active duty in the military, or have a fiancé on active duty in either Iraq or Afghanistan. All military brides must show ID, copy of deployment papers, orders or other qualifying proof.
Brides do not have to reside in the area where the giveaway is taking place. The event has limited amounts of gowns and is on a first come first-serve basis.
Viva Amore offers many high-end designer wedding gowns, including Amsale, Jim Hejlm, Reem Acra, Jasime and Watters. The shop owners, a mother and daughter duo, said they have a special place in their hearts for the charity because their son/brother is a Marine.
Brides Across America and its partners have given more than 1,500 wedding gowns nationwide since its inception.
